Gorgeous. Delicious. Trendy. What a vibe and culinary experience! We came dinner after a show at the Wiltern around 9pm. The green house is gorgeous at night not just during the day. Very special ambiance. The scallops were 11/10!!! And the milk bread!!! Classic margarita looked like an ocean wave. Every detail was cultivated. Hype is well deserved here.

There is simply no justification for less than 5 stars, i.e. I do not understand the overall ratings here. The restaurant is beautiful, a bit loud as the glass walls and concrete floors do not really absorb and rather echo the sounds. All the staff but with special mention to Lisa K, who waited our table, was enormously nice. Key, however, was unquestionably the delicious food which not only tasted wonderful, had a carefully balanced composition of flavors and textures, but was also presented optically in very beautiful set-ups. Definitely, the dishes are created by masters. Parking in the neighborhood is virtually impossible, but the LINA hotel, which Openair is embedded in, provides valet for 14$. OpenAire : OpenAire in K-town is a special terrarium of a space perfect for an upscale Mother’s Day, a fun long tabled birthday or a very ruckus brunch. The space is Instagrammable in every sense of the genre. It gives Eco-plant-chic as sunlight beams and a glass housing to remind each other ever throw stones. It’s happy and bright and the service matches it. The food portions and flavors are as well and we are lucky to have it in our beautiful town. Thank you OpenAire for your open heart. I promise to stay at the Line hotel as I think their lobby is fabulous as well because who doesn’t enjoy a lobby happy hour within brutalist poured concrete.

I had an exceptional breakfast at a Greenhouse-like restaurant on the second floor of Line Hotel LA, surrounded by lush greenery and hanging plants. The breakfast, service, and overall atmosphere were superb. The coffee was strong and invigorating, providing the perfect jolt to start the day. The Breakfast Burrito was delicious, loaded with fresh ingredients, and the pancake with the Line Breakfast was neither dry nor heavy—it was just right. The chicken-apple sausage was flavorful, perfectly balancing sweetness and saltiness. The French Toast was delightful, complemented by a Yuzu-berry compote with just the right sweetness level. The addition of crushed cornflakes offered a pleasing texture to this fantastic dish. The service was top-notch, and as hotel guests, we enjoyed a generous 20% discount on our bill. The ambiance was inviting, filled with vibrant green plants, clean, and impeccably maintained, creating a wow factor the moment we entered the restaurant.

Had a lovely brunch here! The atmosphere did not disappoint and honestly improved my mood after a rough morning. The service was perfect, very attentive and warm. The drinks and food were all great too! My salmon Benedict did not disappoint, and I enjoyed the crunchy potatoes. A bit hard to find as it's inside of the Line hotel, but once we realized, it was fine. Also, I made a reservation the morning of, because Google said they were "busier than usual", but upon arriving we realized this is due to the hotel guests downstairs and inaccurate for the restaurant. It's not cheap, but the kitchen is run by a two star Michelin chef, portions are large, and the ambiance is great. 4.5/5.

This is a great rooftop restaurant and bar. The atmosphere is great. Food was excellent with large portions. Had breakfast and the cornflake French toast was amazing.

We had our Christmas dinner there. The food was delicious, and the desserts were fun and Christmas-shaped. Great experience—thanks to the Openaire team.

Dining at the restaurant on the second floor of the LINE hotel in Korea town was a dream come true. After seeing it in a movie, I couldn't wait to experience it for myself, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The breathtaking views and abundance of greenery created an enchanting atmosphere that felt straight out of a fairytale. Every corner was adorned with plants, adding to the magical ambiance of the space. And the food? Phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe it. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. It was clear that the chefs put their heart and soul into every plate. The service was equally impressive, with our server Quinn going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing our brunch on Mother's Day. As for parking, opting for valet at the hotel proved to be the best choice. At $12 with validation, it was a convenient and hassle-free option in bustling LA. Overall, dining at the restaurant in the LINE hotel was an unforgettable experience. From the stunning views and delectable food to the impeccable service, it's a destination worth visiting time and time again.

Delicious and great atmosphere, I recommend. I went for the unique ambiance and was surprised by how much I enjoyed the food; It was great. Was a lovely place to have brunch with some friends. Seating inside the greenhouse is first come, first serve, and it could be a long wait but an awesome experience. There are long tables for parties or community seating, and I suggest calling ahead. It is located in the Line Hotel, so valet parking is available, but you can also find street parking, which can be limited. Buon Appetito, Piatto Pulito 😋

My friend and I had an amazing time at brunch, the atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking in this restaurant and all the food surprisingly surpassed all my expectations. A bit expensive, but they use fresh delicious ingredients, and serve large portions. My eggs Benedict with crab was full of fresh, juicy crab chunks.

Famous brunch spot, food is delicious and service was great. I loved the discount for The Line guests. We were worried to get a spot for three for brunch during the weekend, but staff helped us and we were able to sit. Eggs Benedict and pastries were amazing!

Great Restaurant. A Hidden Jewel. Openaire hits on all levels. Staff is friendly but not over the line. All things here are Casual California, from the Cuisine to the Dining Areas. Valet Park is your best bet here. I reccomend the Brunch as it offers an nice variety of dishes to choose. We had a party of 3 and ordered 3 completely different plates. Everything was delicious. The flavors are to be tasted, enjoyed as they stimulate different parts of your palate. It's a very nice experience. I will be back. Highly recommend.

Deserves a Michelin star. Every dish we tried was top tier delicious. Probably the best dining experience you can get in the Koreatown area. The servers go above and beyond. Very attentive and always available at your beck and call. The mashed potatoes? I cried they were so good.

Great atmosphere and service. We had the French toast, the chia pudding, the avocado toast with salmon and the tuna tartar. I wish the syrup would have been served separately instead of on the toast. It was a bit much for me. The avocado didn't taste fresh. I think it was packaged. Overall the food was good.

I saw this spot and it a a really visually stunning restaurant with a very lively atmosphere. Can get pretty loud in the green house section for eating but it was still a very satisfying dining experience. I ordered the chia seed pudding which was very delicious, it can either go as a great starter or dessert for me. The lobster chilaquiles was very delicious and the lobster pieces were tender and juicy. The traditional chilaquiles taste with excellent presentation. I definitely recommend this dish too. Overall a solid dining experience. The great surprise was also that the hotel pool is right next to it and a little bar area. If I would of known, I would of brought some pool attire with my date. Great summer spot with a great view also. The parking was somewhat difficult and I found parking on the street on a Sunday. There was valet with validation & garage parking also if you’re car can fit with height.

Ahhhh! This place was sooooo soooo sooooooo cute! 🤩 I saw this place on social media, and we HAD to try it! The whole place was like a rooftop garden, and although it was a cloudy morning, we still had a great time here! 🥰 There was so much detail put into the place, from each plant, every window, and it was such a fresh vibe! 🌿 We came right when they opened, and although there were no other customers coming in for a cool minute, the restaurant was getting more and more crowded, so yay 😌 I decided to get the crab benedict, which tasted so fresh and delicious! The eggs on top were extremely yummy as well, and the yolk was surprisingly a bright orange color! I’ve never eaten an egg like this! 🧡 The plate presentation was great, even for everyone else’s food! The hardest thing about this place was finding it because you had to legit go inside the hotel and into the elevator to get to the top, but we found it! I’d totally recommend going to this place!!!

Jasmine and Daniel were both amazing and even though one was a trainee She made our experience extra special. Thanks again to our two awesome waiters. Now the atmosphere and the scenery spectacular, with a couple of a breath taking moments I was like how can it get any better. But then quickly our plates with perfect presentation arrived. I just wish I started taking more pictures from the beginning Beautiful place for a couple celebrating one's birthday.. Bon appétit

I'm genuinely baffled by the average reviews this adorable spot has received! I recently visited with my boys from the east coast, and we were a group of four. We decided to share a variety of dishes for dinner, which turned out to be an excellent strategy.Every dish was a burst of incredible flavors and uniqueness. The sweet potato topped with labneh was unexpectedly my favorite. It might sound odd to pick it as a favorite, but as someone who adores sweet potatoes, this was easily one of the best I've ever tasted! The shishitos offered a distinct and delightful flavor profile, making them a must-try. We also enjoyed the steak, chicken, and fish, with the latter being proclaimed as the best fish my boyfriend has ever had.Our server was incredibly insightful, assisting us with both what to order and the perfect amount to order, ensuring we had just the right amount of food. The place, with its super cute greenhouse ambiance, is definitely a spot I'd recommend to anyone in the area!

Just around the corner in Little Koreatown you can have brunch at Openaire located within the Line Hotel. 🪴 Some menu items have a little Korean flair and —WOW! We really enjoyed our food!!! Brunch Order: HIBACHI-GRILLED FLAT IRON STEAK & EGGS 🥩 CRAB EGGS BENEDICT 🦀 Very interesting use of spices and love how we could add crab to our eggs benny! Not only are you going to eat very well, the whole experience of dining in a large greenhouse is top notch. They have plants 🪴 hanging from the ceiling and behind benches where you can sit! Beautiful and a popular filming location in Hollywood ⭐️ You will definitely know why, once you step into the greenhouse and enjoy a cocktail amongst the greenery 🌴

Great location for a Sunday brunch with friends! We arrived without reservations and the chief of staff was so accommodating and friendly. Thank you for helping a group so big last minute. We ordered mimosas and multiple plates for everyone to share. Beautiful, amazing vibes, and great food.

I want people to come and enjoy this new amazing place! My first experience was now perfect nor incredible because of the long wait and ignorance at the behind of our brunch. However, our server was very friendly later and made it up for us. I am giving five stars because I want to give it another try and I enjoy the vibes so much in this place. It’s a new restaurant so I wish they will get everything in order. And the food quality and service efficiency could be better in the soon future. The location and decoration inside the place was original charm that attracted me to come. The Brunch menu bundle up with the cart food, which we actually enjoyed very much. I am not a fan of the egg Benedict I ordered, the sour taste is not my favorite. But the Bulgogi Hash my boyfriend got was very nice.

Who wouldn’t want to have brunch in a gorgeous greenhouse!? This hidden gem within the Line Hotel is the perfect oasis. The price is average for downtown LA but it’s worth it for the atmosphere. I had the huevos rancheros which were delicious. The service was exceptional; I think they refilled our water every 10 minutes which was amazing. Overall I highly recommend anyone looking for good food and a fantastic atmosphere.

A brunch experience to remember. We got a place to sit in the outdoor patio which was lovely in this sunny breezy day however they have loads of fans etc inside the greenhouse as well incase anybody sits inside….Our salmon platter has awesome with meaty heirloom tomato with a hint of olive oil and seasoned with salt and pepper, onion, egg powdered, capers and spinach. My husband took the line breakfast. The freshly squeezed orange juice was just right to pair with the brunch items.

Openaire is a vibe! It is located in a hotel and is right next to the pool. The scenery is amazing, food is delicious, and there is a photoshoot ready spot everywhere you look. Jenna was an amazing server and the bottomless mimosas for $30/person is a great deal! I highly recommend you give this place a try!

Openaire’s atmosphere alone makes the 20-30 minute wait for a table worthwhile. Regardless of whether you’re seated inside or outside, you’ll be surrounded by greenery and sunlight. Incredible, unique atmosphere for a brunch spot. We came at PRIME Instagram-Brunch-Time (11AM on a Sunday), but were seated pretty quickly relative to the amount of people that were there. Service was very friendly and accommodating, and our food was brought out soon after ordering. The food was GREAT. Definitely would recommend giving the French Toast a shot (We ordered it as an appetizer to split between the two of us), and the omelette was a great pair. It was a little expensive, but worth the entire experience IMO. Give Openaire a shot, especially for brunch. You won’t be disappointed!

Service was excellent and professional. The dining area was well ventilated and there’s out door seating. The food was well prepared and presented. The branzino was fresh and firm. Sauce was tart and flavorful - it accented the fish well. Wagyu steak was very rich. Appetizers were well portioned. Cocktails were creative. Very good wine selection.

Perfect for a date. Beautiful glass dome nicely decorated with a nice bar in the background. We went for dinner but are strongly encouraged to go back for brunch. We tried two cocktails and both were great. We shared the ricotta fritters to start, very small portion but my girlfriend loved them (I thought they were alright). As mains we shared the kale ceasar salad and the duck confit. The salad was very disappointing but the duck was the star of the show. It is a very big portion so take that into account when ordering. The kimchi fried rice was delicious and paired perfectly. Would come back!

Located inside the LINE hotel. It boasts greenhouse garden like setting inside, it needs more plants! The service is friendly, the vibes are good, can get very noisy when large groups are also dining. Hoping for a “cozy, romantic” anniversary dinner but didn’t really experience that here. Was seated right in front of a HUGE LED advertising Sign in the next door building! The appetizers were delicious but portions are on the small side. Except for the shared entree - we ordered duck confit over a gigantic plate of kimchi rice. Unnecessarily generous portion of the rice in proportion to the protein. I’m also unsure if the duck confit-kimchi rice pairing worked as well. Desert was ok too. Semi-validated Valet parking in hotel.

We went for dinner and the view itself was fantastic. Sitting in the greenhouse with live plants around us felt great on a summer day. The food was good, but nothing blew us out of the water. Would recommend going on a nice day to enjoy a light meal.

Service was good and the food a solid 3.5/5 for sure. Nothing special. But I will give respect to the cinnamon roll ☺️ Second time coming here throughout the years. They're consistent. No wait time. Had a 10:30 AM reservation on a Sunday. Didn't really need one IMO. It wasn't crowded and had lots of seating. Around noon it started getting busy. Entrance is through the hotel, elevators on the right, second floor. Definitely wheelchair accessible. Street parking which isn't too difficult to find. I'd come back for the cinnamon roll and cocktails. Purple rain was delicious 💜

Went here for a friend’s birthday brunch. We had a reservation for 12:30, we did not get seated until closer to 1pm. According to the staff they had a few parties of 5 or more and was trying to figure out their seating arrangements, a little inconvenience but it did not reunion our great meal! Our waiter suggested that we each order one thing and do it like family style, so we did just that. Steak and eggs, lobster chilaquiles, French toast and their version of an American style breakfast. They really put their own twist on brunch with a mix of Asian fusion. Go here if you’re wanting to try something new;outdoor indoor; social media worthy content. One more thing, they close down after brunch at 2:30 to prepare for dinner so if you go here around this time and you’re still wanting some more drinks after brunch, head down stairs to the lobby for happy hour at 3 pm!

The food was good. The lamb hash dish that I ordered was really tasty other than the cherry tomatoes being a few days past. I told my server about the issue and she relayed the chefs message to me which was that they don’t taste every tomato. It felt weird and uncomfortable but that aside, the food was still good. It just tampered with the experience as a whole. At the end of my meal I went to the bar to get a mock tail to take up to my room and the bartender hit on my very inappropriately. (I specified the details in a formal complaint letter to the hotel)

Really cool restaurant inside the Line Hotel. Very open and bright. Great place to take pictures for the gram. The food is good but pricey. Portions are a bit on the small side too. Service was great though. Friendly staff. Valet parking or try to find street meter parking.

We stayed at the Line LA for a few nights so we had to have breakfast here. Unfortunately they are not always open for dinner so we could not try this location for dinner. Anyways, this restaurant is unique in that it looks like a greenhouse and there are a ton of plants hanging of the ceiling. We can only imagine the effort that goes into maintaining all that. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. Hope we can try dinner sometime

This restaurant is located in the Line Hotel so you need to enter the hotel building and take the elevator or stairs up to the restaurant. The restaurant caught our attention because of the peaceful and natural feel. The outdoor seating, glass ceilings and abundance of greenery makes this place feel good to be at. The service here was decent. I hoped that there would be more vegetarian options. Prices were high for the portions served.

Good - stunning design/location. Service friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. Food was pretty good but maybe not quite worth the cost - idk - maybe just not my taste - plated aesthetically well but some dishes had better flavors than others. Only complaints - the charge for water ($5 each for me and my son, in addition to our drinks) and the drink pours were very small light in comparison to cost. $18 for a very exact looking 5oz pour of Pinot noir was underwhelming. The hotel itself was wonderful but the restaurant - not quite all it could be.

Perfect place for brunch, it's in the name as everything feels so open and fresh. Staff was very friendly and contributed to the experience. If at all possible, it's better sitting inside than out.Their cinnamon roll is a must, and with its size, you’re going to want to share!

I’ve been wanting to come here for so long finally got the chance for brunch. We made a reservation through OpenTable originally for 12 PM and we switched it to 10 AM, thankfully we were able to reschedule! The restaurant opens at 10 AM so we got the right when I opened and there was already a line. I went with a group of friends and we ordered all of the popular dishes. As soon as we sat down we noticed our forks were dirty, unfortunately. Not a great first impression but we brushed it off and ordered. All the dish items were excellent, coffee was hot and fresh. Ambiance was just as amazing as expected! I ordered the huevos rancheros and the cinnamon roll! Waitress was very nice and attentive!

This unique rooftop greenhouse offers a unique setting for decent food, amazing service, and mediocre drinks. Though overpriced, the meal was good overall. We loved the Milk Bread. The Tuscan Salad was filling and had lots of dressing the way I like. The Jidori chicken was very well-prepared, dewy, and dipped in a delicious honey sauce. With such a great ambiance, we expected much more from the drinks. They were strong and distasteful—particularly the crowd-favorite Purple Rain which lacked the Hibiscus taste the menu described. I wish they had sweeter options and a better presentation to accompany the plant-life. Unfortunately Openaire was rather empty and lacking soul on a Wednesday evening, so this is one restaurant I would actually recommend visiting on a weekend during the morning and mid-day hours when the sun is overhead.

A tepid 4 stars. Fine but overpriced and nothing worth writing home about. I had been looking forward to coming here for a long time. I had heard about a lovely greenhouse vibe and yummy food. We came for Valentine's Day yesterday and were a bit disappointed. Initially we were placed outdoors on a patio that wasn't scenic in any way. Disappointed, we asked if there was a possibility of being seated inside so we could enjoy the greenhouse. We were seated inside. It was wide open and totally empty so we had that very long table to ourselves. We were fine with this and I wish they could have given us the option. The inside decor was cute. The restaurant is fashioned like a greenhouse. I was a little bit disappointed that there weren't more plants as I had envisioned more plants. It might be pretty during the daytime but it's a bit plain at night. They did add some cute Valentine's Day decorations. The Valentine's Day menu was fine but not outstanding. The appetizer course is meant "for the table," but each of the four types of dishes literally came out as a single bite hors d'oeuvre. For example they would come on a single small piece of lotus root or a single chip or a single small baguette slice. It looks like it was for one person and was very awkward to share. Thankfully I was there with my husband but I couldn't imagine it being extremely awkward for someone there on a date with someone that they know less well. My husband also pointed out that if someone went by themselves they probably would have had that whole plate to themselves. It was extremely small and there wasn't a great way to even share it other than biting it. It just seems like that could have been avoided by making two smaller portions (if it's even possible to make that portion even smaller than it was). The other portions were also quite small. The food was yummy and I don't have any major complaints but it also was not extraordinary in any way. One odd thing was that the meal felt very rushed. Maybe because the portions were small and there weren't many customers. It just went by really fast. We were in and out of there in 1 hour. It didn't feel like a full dining experience. It felt more like dining at a cafe or something. For that experience we paid about $400 ($125 per person prix fixe plus drinks). It felt truly not worth it. I do have to say that the servers were very professional and nice. They were the best part of the whole experience. But I definitely felt like I have no need to go to openaire again, especially not for a special occasion dinner. It just didn't feel worth it and it was lackluster. Maybe it's fine for brunch or something. Parking in K-Town is also a pain.

We specifically chose Openaire because they were advertising this Koreatown Gwishin (Ghost) Dinner for Halloween, complete with immersive storytelling, Korean ghost lore, a Daegu fortune teller, and spooky dinner theatrics. We thought it would be such a cool, Korean-themed Halloween night. But when we arrived and asked about the storytelling… not a single staff member had any idea what we were talking about. We asked multiple people and everyone looked confused. Where was the Daegu Fortune Teller? I wish they were present just to tell us this whole thing was a hoax. Lol. The good news: The ambiance is stunning. This restaurant is undeniably beautiful with dreamy greenhouse vibes with warm lighting and lush greenery. The atmosphere alone makes you want to stay for hours. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the special Halloween menu was executed perfectly, so zero complaints there. There was a magician/mentalist performing that night, and his trick actually blew my mind. I’m still thinking about how the X mark ended up on the inside of my left palm even though I was gripping my hands super tight. So props to him because that was memorable and very on-theme in its own way. The not-so-good: Our server felt lost, almost like it was her first day. And overall, it just didn’t seem like anyone had been briefed on the event that was being heavily advertised. I just don’t think they thought this concept through. If you’re going to promote an immersive themed experience, the team should at least be aware of it. Bottom line: We still enjoyed our meal because the ambiance and food truly delivered. But next time, please don’t advertise something and then pull the plug without telling your staff, it just makes everyone look confused, including the guests. Would I return? Sure, for the vibes and food. Would I return for a themed event? A hard no!

Solid choice for great food and ambience, but wait staff was not existent. Once we were seated by the hostess, no wait staff greeted us. We sat for quite awhile before getting water let alone our order. Our waitress left us after taking our order. We waited so long for the check. The country potatoes with red pepper was a great flavor addition. The eggs Benedict was traditional and very well made. The hollandaise was good. The pancakes were delicious!

T
TJ GRINGO

Fritters came highly suggested by the waitress but were not very good. Seemed like maybe they are just microwaved right before serving. Ordered wagyu and duck, with potato puree. Wagyu was good. Duck was pretty bland and kind of messy to eat. Potato pure was also very bland. Waitress took a very long time to come to us and I had to ask twice for someone to come help. After she took our drinks it was another long wait to put food in.

M

Too acidic, mediocre food. Just not tasty. It was like bland porridge with corn. The steak was too hard to chew. No wait list because of the food. The peanut butter cake was tasty though.

Visited this restaurant with high hopes but sadly was disappointed with the food quality. "Mixed Greens" was Ice Berg lettuce, potatoes were hard & dry, english muffin was over crisped, Huevos Rancheros soggy. For this price point for classic dishes, the details matter. The ambience is beautiful and trendy, however there have been some furniture changes since featured photos were shared. The images show lavish comfy seating at tables with an elevated seating arrangement but have since been switched out for a very basic black wooden chair. Staff was friendly, overall experience was sub-par at best.

Not great - came here two years ago for dinner and definitely wanted to come back however service and food quality lacking this evening. Apps like Yukon potato, squash blossoms good. Mains only 2/5 actually were ok. Steak below expectation lacked flavor, overcooked , tagliatelle nothing special, but most offensive was the so called “trout” which was definitely salmon. When I asked the waitress she told me it was in fact salmon but “ ocean trout “ is the same thing as salmon. So why didn’t you just list it as salmon instead of trout ? Trout and Salmon are different 1. Pros - ambiance and vibe, amazing space and pool area. Nice photos! 2. Cons - mains not great , price for flavorless food and subpar service, valet is $12 for two hours and 5 each additional hour. They didn’t even pull the car out of the space when we gave them our ticket to pick up. Also the sauces they give you with the bread and the steak are clashing flavors like mushroom sauce with bread and some bright yellow sauce for the steak. In summary come here for apps, drinks and to take cute pics but don’t expect high quality food, don’t be too hungry and expect LA type price bill

Service was super slow. 15 min to first contact after seating. Had to ask to pay, barely saw the server although I felt it was not his fault at all… it felt more like understaffed since when the server was around he was very pleasant. The food was average for the price, pretty but taste lacks. The worst one was the chicken sausage (brunch). And some mold on the berries. They didn’t seem to care tho.

If you're coming here only for Instagram photos then you're okay you'll get those photos. But if you're actually there thinking you would get a delicious meal don't go. They need to get their 2 Star Michelin review re-evaluated. I came for dinner and every dish we ordered was disappointing. Bread was underwhelming, every dish was bland, and dry. I couldn't believe I had to force myself to swallow it all down because the amount of money we paid. Almost half a grand for what? Save yourself the money and the trauma. The dessert was a joke too the sorbets fruit was so sour and the sorbet itself flavors weren't anything special. Also beware there are roaches. They also charge a service fee which goes straight to the owner. Disgusting.

Really hate to give this abysmal review, but sadly it was earned: arrived for 5:30 seating for a pre-theater dinner with hardly anyone there. The menu was tough to choose from as nothing was truly compelling but wound up with spicy eggplant starter which was buried under what otherwise would be considered rice krispy treats, but were crispy but tasteless; we also had roasted japanese sweet potato as a second starter and besides it being completely tasteless it was just a lump of potato buried under a flavorless cream; ok, on to the main, I had the branzino which wins the award for the skimpiest tasteless restaurant branzino, normally a favorite, but here totally lacking in heft and flavor, what a disappointment; also for a main, the wagyu zabuton, which actually was OK, whew! Really lifeless dinner which was further fueled by the absence of any service; after ordering, didn't see our server except for opening the wine. The main dishes arrived with the starter dishes waiting to be removed; the main dishes sat on the table while the server went off to find flatware and then remove the starter dishes. So we watched our dinner cool awaiting and awaiting. Turns out, the wait wasn't worth it. An expensive dinner with very poor service and lackluster food. It might be a nice venue during the day in this greenhouse type setting, but at night, not much, not to mention the restaurant is located in a hotel which has a rather creepy lobby and elevator decor. We chose this spot as it was close to the theater, but won't make that mistake again. Recommendation, don't. Too many other LA restaurants put this one to shame. Sad!
