We got hamburgers and chilli fries for our meals. The food was very good. The cherry limeades were way better than Sonic's. The booths are very small so dine out if you need more room.

Amazing place to go for lunch or dinner. The burger is the best burger in town. Get the tater tots too, they are amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting town or has not tried it yet.

Love the mom and pop atmosphere. The food was awesome, too. Lil' pricey, but good. It's not in a great part of town, but I do like to seek out the hole in the wall places. The best part was the French fries. I had the bacon cheese burger.

My review is for their double cheese burger with everything on it they offer. No bacon. It's one of the top 10 burgers in town. I would rate it 9.3 for Lubbock burgers. Burger was very fresh with that homemade vibe and very high quality. However, I found the burger a little dry. Perhaps a little ketchup or Secret Sauce would help? The French fries were good as well as the soda.

Took my family in on the weekend and the owner was very freindly and informative. We each had a different burger. I had the Christaki Burger my wife had the Jojo and my son had a Double cheeseburger. We also had the tater tots. We all felt that the burgers we're good-sized and ranked in the top five in Lubbock for taste. We also thought the tater tots were nice and crunchy and a good addition to our burgers. I would recommend you try this location for a good burger.

My boyfriend told me this was the best burger joint in town - and they did NOT disappoint! Staff was friendly and efficient. There was a bit of a wait but we went around lunch time and they also have a drive thru. If you aren't in a rush, I would recommend sitting inside. The fries and onion wings are pretty top notch as well!

YUMMO! Christakis cheeseburgers are the bomb. Christakis chili cheeseburgers being the bestest in Lubbock. Best way to eat them is without veggies, mayo or mustard. They wrap the chili cheeseburgers in foil making them still piping hot even 30 miles later. If you have had a good dog, like my Loki, that needs comfort food after a vet visit, a plain cheeseburger will make them forgive you for putting them through the trauma of getting vaccinated. Their tater tots are some of the best around. Plus, they have cherry limeade! I am a big supporter of locally owned places and you cannot go wrong with Christakis. It is best to do take out with Christakis. While they have indoor seating it can get a tad crowded when they are busy.

Greeted immediately by a very friendly and gracious woman. I got the Bubba Good (double cheeseburger with bacon) - Excellent! Has an old fashioned burger joint flavor with pickles and a toasted bun. Fries were hot and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. They also had homemade cake available so I got the strawberry one. Just like grandma used to make it. Very clean and comfortable old-style booths.

I wanted a really good local burger that didn’t break the bank and was recommended to come here for one. The burger, Chili Burger in this picture, was at a very reasonable price and was an amazing burger. The chili was great, the burger had just the right amount of mustard and pickles, and the the burger itself tasted delicious. With the Chili Burger, be sure to have plenty of napkins on hand because they really load it up heartily with the chili and it’s just perfect. I’ve also had their regular hamburger and they’re amazing as well. I asked them to put extra veggies on my burger and they did exactly that! My dad also had their hamburger and has said that it’s his favorite in town, especially for the price with what you get. All in all, if you want a good local diner burger, then Christakis Burgers is the place in Lubbock to come. I’d recommend Christakis to anyone!

I’ve only tried the burgers here so far, but whenever I’m craving one, this is exactly where I’m headed. The quality of the meat is outstanding — honestly better than most of the higher-end, well-known restaurants in town. And the way they toast the buns? Perfect every time. And let’s not forget the shaved ice! I’d stop by just for a Big Red or a Diet Dr Pepper with extra ice — no lid! It just hits different here. The hospitality is truly amazing. Walking in feels like you’ve come from out of town to visit your tia’s restaurant — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. PS: Don’t miss the homemade slices of cake! I’m not sure which señora makes them, but they taste like they’re made with the kind of love you only find in a homemade cake — the kind sitting on your grandma’s kitchen counter during a Sunday visit.

I had the Red Raider burger and it was amazing! I would say it’s that classic American burger taste. Bread/Bun was not too soggy and the patty is pretty good size. I also had onion rings which were pretty good as well. Price wise, I’d say it’s a bit cheaper than other burger places BUT you do get your money’s worth!! The only complaint I have is that there were too many flies while I was eating.

Very good burgers and fries, cooked fresh when you order and served hot. Good value too, under $8 for a hamburger combo. They take cards. Small dining room. Booths are too narrow for bigger folks like me. That's really my only complaint.

Love the small town type local hangout off the beaten path atmosphere of the place. It’s also old school fast casual with a person bringing your food to the table. Had the burger with grilled pastrami and swiss on top. Virtually never have seen that in Texas. It’s a hallmark of LA deep dive neighborhood burgers and Crown in Salt Lake City. Rings were great. We were looking for a hamburger place, something not crowded on a Saturday afternoon and decided to try Christakis. Clear across town from us, but wow what a hidden jewel! Family owned and operated, excellent service, and clean. Seems most customers drive thru or take out, but we dined in. Glad we did ~ sweet family who appreciate their customers. The Christakis and Chili Cheese Burgers were cooked to perfection and delicious!! The fries were a tad over cooked to our liking, but still good! We’ll definitely be going back!

I only went thru the drive thru, food was good, burger was my favorite, got the Jojo burgers x 2, chili cheese fries and chili cheese tots. 36.00 for both burgers and fries/tots

Gyro plate gets 3 stars more fries than gyro price gets 2 and the staff gets 5 for service for grand of3.5 but rounded to the nearest tenth I guess 4 gyro itself was good but not enough.

The service is great. The food has changed. The french fries are not that good. The buns for my burger are seemed different too. I loved going to this place for lunch. But now the food is different, Im going to go somewhere else. I known times are harder for restaurants like this, they are having to cut cost, that's why I giving a 4 star vs 1 star. I just don't like change.

The newly updated seating area and bathroom look great and it's nice they have a drive-thru. I will keep coming back here.

Very small and unassuming restaurant with amazing burgers. We needed something quick while on the road and saw this place had been rated high so we decided to check it out. The line was out the door and there were people in the drive thru constantly and yet service was fast and food was exactly what you want from a place like this. Affordable and delicious!

Had the Bubba Good burger. It was giant and I enjoyed it. Got onion rings which were all made to order. They have a wide variety of options besides burgers and if I make it out this way again I'll definitely come back. The only issue I had was the seating was hard and uncomfortable was but that was only a minor gripe.

Our last visit there wasn't very good. We ordered from home and were told it would be ready in 10 minutes. The drive there was about 10. Wait in line another 10 or more. No problem we waited patiently for our turn in line. Only our order still wasn't ready. Ok we just need to be patient a little longer. No problem for fresh and good food right? No! My chicken stripes were WAY OVER COOKED! Very dry, and almost burnt! My husband's order wasn't even right! He ordered a Duble cheese burger but got chili cheese fries. Nasty greasy fries. So greasy the grease was sitting on top of the food. When we called to tell them what was wrong with our order all we got was oh sorry we can refund the money ey for your burger. We both worked all day. We were both very tired and hungry and to end our day with that kind of food and service was more than disappointing to say the least.

Not bad but not amazing. Had the Christaki burger which was recommended by the staff. It has great potential with Swiss and pastrami as a topping but the burger patty was a huge let down. The burger patty looked to be a 1/4 lb frozen patty that was cooked till it was dry. The kids had chili cheese, same patty with hormel type chili and American cheese. Tater tots and fries were good. Overall a fair prices, decent service, ok food.

Great Burgers, but the lady running the window is extremely rude and seems like she hates her job. That would be the reason we won’t continue to give them our business.

I thought I'd try it out as it has a lot of positive reviews, but I won't be going back. Everything tasted like lard. The woman who took my order was pretty rude and extremely impatient even though I was the only person in drive thru at the time since they had just opened. For new people , even if you order drive thru, you still have to get out and go inside to get your order. I received no receipt.

Bad experience today @ christakis my husband just experienced so we originally went in for 2 burgers and my husband seen the family deal asked about it and the pricing, once told the pricing my husband declined the lady went to telling him “ BYE BYE LEAVE SLANGING HER HAND AT HIM TELLING HIM TO LEAVE WHILE WALKING OFF FROM HIM “ so he kindly told her come back why are you treating me like this that we would just like to order two burgers !!! He was extremely embarrassed and pissed with service there being first time customers. We literally pulled our burgers out the bags and the buns were already soggy and messy smh poor service

Coworker wanted to try a new burger restaurant. Since Christakis was on the other side of town, she said I drive she buys. Called in the order. Wanted a double bacon burger combo and a gyro plate. Wanted chili cheese fries for the fries. Was told you cant do which is fine. So I explained numerous times over and over cause the lady was confused to the order. She gave up and gave the phone to another lady. Was simple just do the burger with a order of chili fries and the drink. As the phone was hung up heard what I am sure was a cuss word said. No biggie. Anyways when a arrived was told the total was 47 dollars. How I asked? The order was taken wrong. The lady said is because what I ordered. She never told me what they made by the way. She turns away and goes to the back. Where I see the burger being finished. Comes back and she says 37. Which to me is way to much still. All I ordered was a gyro plate 10.70, burger 7.80, chili cheese fries 5.10, drink 2.15. Which totals around 26 dollars before tax. The 37 total seemed off but was like oh well wanted to get back while the food was warm. Get back to share the food and notice there is no burger. The burger was the whole reason for the order! Called in and asked where was the burger? Instead we had a second order of chili fries. She said I didn't want the burger! Explained when I got there exactly what I ordered for the 7x counting the phone order. burger, 1 order of chili cheese fries, drink, and plate. Even if you add the extra fries no way does it come out to 47 dollars like first asked for. For the 37 would have made more sense. So instead of my coworker paying for 37 dollars for chili cheese fries and a drink she really wasnt happy, I paid for it all. What a mess........ Plus the gyro was not quality food.

loved going here but today when trying to place an order the guy forgot to mute me before complaining about me being”confusing”. when placing my order, all i asked was to have no pickles and mustard on one and only pickles and onions on the other, didn’t even get to finish placing my order for the last two before he told me to hold on and then proceeded to complain about me to his co worker. I work in a restaurant as well and hate complaining or writing negative reviews but I found it very unprofessional. Sad because we like the food but have never had a good experience customer service wise.

Went in nobody was there but a family of 3 that ordered before me and a car at the window. The family got there meals and after I ordered 5 minutes after the family about 4 window orders that came way after mine were all done in 10-15 mins and mine took 30 minutes! All the window orders came way after I ordered. So idk how it took 30 mins for a burger and fries and all the window orders were large orders and mine was placed right the family of 3 that was. I went to dine in today with my mom it was my first time and i will NEVER go back. the lady taking our order wouldn’t let us finish ordering and just assumed what we were gonna say and i witnessed her cutting people off while they were ordering after me so it wasn’t just me. i told her about 4 times only pickles and extra mayo on my burger but she constantly kept repeating extra pickles with mayo which is not what i wanted. our food finally came out. my burger had all the veggies which i did not want as i said only pickles and extra mayo on it. i got it “fixed” but all she did was scrape off the veggies and for some reason my bottom bun was rock solid. so i got it “fixed” again, it just was not good she still put EXTRA pickles and barley any mayo which was wrong i just threw the burger away. when i went up to get refills on our drinks she got mad at the way i tried to hand them to her. the old lady at the front taking the orders had gray hair and a clip in her hair i’m sure if i asked for her name she would’ve just been rude again. i will not come back here again it was the worst first experience ever. old lady from the front if you’re reading this you could use some leave in conditioner and fill in your eyebrows maybe it’ll help overshadow your horrible personality.

Stopped by here around 6:00 PM, received the worst service ever! Food was also horrible! Chili cheese fries were made with nacho sauce out of a can chili was tasteless, my burger had soggy tomatoes in it. We had to go back for them to remake my daughters bacon cheeseburger two times Because they couldn’t Get it right, the first remake, we got it back with a very hard bun that you could tap on the table and felt hard as a rock, the mistake for that was it had vegetables in it when it was supposed to have zero veggies in it, when we took it back the first time all the lady did was scoop off the lettuce and tomatoes and onions instead of remaking the burger. Whenever I brought it back because the bottom button was hard as a rock. They were upset about it and made it very well known. Had to go up to the window three times for corrections and each time I was given attitude and not even allowed to finish saying what I was saying., The old lady that was taking orders needs to work on her Customer Service skills! I ordered the family pack witch is 43.95 not 61.!!!. Also the food is at best mediocre . Indoor atmosphere is straight trash .... for example they use curtains as doors and the bathroom is too close to where you eat. My onion rings burned .... it definitely belongs in the location its at .

Review: First impressions are always important! Called in an order, was a large one, to get a lady on the phone, she didn’t give a name. To make it easy I had a list and asked if reading off the order will be smoother for her. She said “just go ahead”. I read it and asked for a few that were different (no cheese) and she said “no you said you wanted all cheese”, with a sigh she changed it. I understand it was a big order, so I gave her time and asked for patience. After the call, about 20 min later went to pickup the order. Was a nice gentleman at the window, however, this older woman came up and said “you only have me 7 drinks, what’s the other one”. I informed my drink order, she went to make it and asked if I can change one to a different drink. The gentleman informed the lady, and you would have thought I asked for something extreme. She came up to the window and said “no you told me a certain drink so I made it” I said “yes, I’m sorry, there was a change in mind from one” and she said “well I already made it so you have to take it”. I thought she was playing. The gentleman told her to calm down, only for her to walk off and mumbling. I apologized again to the gentleman and he said “don’t worry about it”. I also asked for her name, because I use to work in fast food, and do understand the pressure, but talking to a customer that way is NEVER okay. The gentleman even said, she’s like that all the time. I hope management will take into consideration where they place Mary and if they are okay with having her talk this way to customers. Food was good, but customer service is always the first impression and extremely important. Please do better.

When I asked wait what in the world I was given my 2 pounds of meat she decided to heat up and charge me for and was told It is what it is. When we asked for a manager or owner or someone to speak to we were told the lady present was management and she refused to do anything for us. She said she would not offer any assistance and that’s just that. And just stood smiling with sarcasm. If your charging a price like that Maybe say hey I’m going to charge you $45 for pounds of meat and $8 for an extra ounce of sauce - and when someone expresses frustration and unfair treatment YOUR IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY!
