Food is good, sauces dont over power the taste of what your eating. A get in and out kinda place love it. Kung pow!!!! I posted the above review two years ago. And i still stand by it. Thanks china express!!!!

Loved it! Had the genera Tsos and cream cheese wantons. Perfectly cooked and flavor was excellent! Will definitely go back!

THANK YOU! I've ordered Pork Lo Mein from a few locations around me but they've never come close to what you guys have! It's not overpowering and you can taste the noodles, and the pork. It's fork tender and my normally no-meat son ate a good helping of the noodles AND meat. He was very upset I didn't have enough for him, mostly because it was supposed to be mine(LOL!) so i guess i will need to order more

On my 1st visit at China Express tonight I ordered Chicken Fried rice...and really glad I chose to pick up a dinner here. The order was fresh and amazing. I will definitely make this my weekly stop.

Excellent Choice! I am glad to say it, as it rarely happens that I am this impressed with the quality of the food I experienced. IMHO this is not "take-out" quality, instead more like "home cooked".

This is the best Chinese food in Lubbock! I've tried a few other places around town and China Express wins, no contest. I've only been 3 times in the last 9 months, but the lady who takes the orders at the front always remembers me and greets me like a good friend. It's just a really nice touch and their customer service definitely won me over. I've ordered a few things here and all of them have been very good and made fresh. With Chinese food (or really, "Americanese" food), I notice that what is called szechuan chicken in one place may not be remotely the same dish at another, so I have ordered one or two dishes where I received something completely different than what I expected, but it's all been delicious. Honestly, that's my fault for not asking about a dish before ordering. I've had the Kung Pao, Szechuan chicken, and most recently the sesame chicken. Portions are quite large and can be split between 2-3 meals. You definitely get a good value here. Highly recommend!

I got the hunan beef, general tso chicken and egg drop wonton soup +more! Was incredibly delicious and the prefect temperature when i sat down to eat. So much flavor and just the right balance on everything. Will definitely be my new go to.

I can't say that I understand the negative reviews of this restaurant. I have ate here for years and never have I received bad service, bad food or any issues that weren't immediately resolved. The portions are huge for the price and always taste great. I will support this local business as often as possible!

I got it delivered to my apartment after class today. The food is delicious! The fried dumplings are amazing, and so are the rice and noodle bowls. Would recommend to someone looking for good Chinese food.

The Sichuan specialty dishes are the best—even better than restaurants in big cities. A true hidden gem in Lubbock!

I have been sick for days, nothing has tasted good, nor settled well. I went here with very little expectations and was stunned! The egg drop soup was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The broth had such an amazing flavor. No clue how they did it, but it’s amazing. And I’m from California, it’s rare for anywhere in Texas to impress me food wise. Price was reasonable and service was quick. I’ll be back.

They were so helpful and friendly and even gave us extra fortune cookies. I cannot recommend enough! Plus the lo mein was especially good tonight!

Very kind natured people running the place. The service was great and fast. The hot and sour soup is very rich and dark, which I loved. Atmosphere is definitely lacking, but the food and service make up for that.

OK, hear me out. I went to the restaurant last night. Want to pick up some food and I don’t want to cook rice but then ask how much is the rice cost it’s a five dollars for one box of rice. That’s insane. Food was very good but the rice was too expensive.

Friendly service and consistently solid food. Freshly made and delicious! They have a small dine in area, or delivery. (Carry out, too) We eat here regularly and are pleased. Big portions!

Called in an order and it was ready fast but they forgot my fried rice. Seaseme chicken was bot great and had no Sesame seeds.

Dingy, awkward. For the price it's not terrible but the portions don't reflect the price. Taste was decent just don't expect to stay in to dine.

I ordered magnolia food and it had too much pepper. But a lot of onions and meat. It was taste for a person that doesn't know magolian food.

This is the 3rd time ordering from here and I don't know why I keep doing it. I always thought a 3rd time would be a charm but nope. This time I ordered the Mongolian triple delight which contains jumbo shrimp, beef, chicken, green onions and sweet onions. I ordered online and asked for no sweet onions or green onions because I personally dislike onions. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. I think the person who's in charge of the online orders is either blind or illiterate. I opened up the container to see onions!! I asked for no onions and they still put onions. The whole dish is mostly onions. Like where's the meat?? The shrimp which said were jumbo shrimp are small baby shrimp. Misleading! And there were only 4 shrimps. Not worth the money at all. Most of their dishes, the ones with vegetables, are mostly filled with vegetables. So don't expect a whole lot of meat. So even when you ask for no veggies, expect veggies. The only reason why I give them 2 stars is because of their fast delivery service and their fried dumplings aren't bad. Y'all need to improve!! I'm never ordering from here again.

While I was pregnant in February my fiance and I walked up there to eat. Had to pay for a water cup. And once we got our food his meat looked bloody at the tips tasted like it wasn't beef and made him such for three days. As soon as we left to go back home he had to stop to throw up. We haven't been back since.

First and foremost... Hand sanitizer is NOT washing your hands! Watched the young man at the front counter go to the bathroom and never heard him wash his hands, cones back out and squirts hand sanitizer on them🤮. The food is about average for asian fare. Lobby was soooo hot I ended up going outside to eat in my vehicle.

Used to love this place. I've been told that it's under new management. They have changed the preparation of their hot pot specialty dishes, and these no longer have the spices and ingredients that made the dishes so tasty. Also, I went in to pick up an order a few weeks ago, and the people behind the counter were not wearing masks. With the changes, the food is pretty run-of-the-mill. It's not bad, but it used to be, IMHO, so much better.

First time and food just is not good I ordered the general chicken and it is sweet sour chicken with sauce poured over it not fried to the chicken which is very disappointing . We ordered the shrimp lomein which daughter said was good but just know it's very pricey also . We paid for 4 and it was $58.00 .

The food is decent but for me and the wife 34 bucks with a drink wow I could go eat hibichi for that price and alot more food all I can say is 2 bucks for a can coke is high so is the food . I think I'll stick to Lucky chens

Every time we go there it's more vegetables than meat. Do not order anything with shrimp because they will charge you extra and not give extra. It's good just way too much for just veggies.

They were closed at 7pm. Their hours posted on the door says they would be open until 10pm.

They are rude! Have a bad attitude and complain about delivering they also asked me if i going to tip them in a rude way! So hell no I didn't tip them just for that little attitude! Dont recommend them at all!!!!

How in the hell do you have a restaurant without fountain drinks. The food was dry and under cooked. No flavor to any of there food. My boyfriend took one bit and trashed his plate! Its horrible! Worst Chinese Food We Have Ever Had!!

Probably worst Chinese food for what I paid. over priced with no flavor. I asked for a special but didn't receive the egg roll, when I went back to ask why they said they didn't have a special today but failed to inform me of that. Never again!!!

The food was decent, my gripe is the front desk lady. She was very rude, for the lack of better words, because I could not understand what she was saying. I won’t be returning because of the interaction.

I have never had really really bad tasting Chinese food and this place made it happen. Rice was dry and tasted weird. The rest was just awful.

They were paying very explicit music in the restaurant while I was waiting for my order. Normally I don’t care about music played, but there were kids inside and they shouldn’t be listening to that.

The girl who works up front is so rude . I was picking up an order for someone and she tells me the card is declined and I asked if she called them or sent a message to let them no she said no so how can they know it is declined . So I proceeded to hear her call them all rude . And I just think it’s unprofessional. Food was already sitting there and it was cold .

First time I ordered, it was done online. Food never arrived. I called them and was told that they never got the order, on their own website. Verbally placed order via phone, told 30 min, arrived over an hour later. By that time, I gave up and had eaten. Next time, called to place order. No answer. Recieved text that only online order available. I've never had the food there because of ordering issues.

I had beef and broccoli, fried rice, and egg roles, while my fiancée had noodles. Both of us got sick off of our food, which was overpriced to begin with. We were excited to have a good Chinese restaurant close to our house, but no such luck I suppose. The front counter was also really rude, and no one else was in the restaurant. That should have been our sign.

Redicuolosly bad. Wontons were cold, must have been from an earlier order that wasn't picked up. Egg rolls were microwaved. Lo Mein wasn't terrible but not worth the 20 bucks I just paid.

I am sorry but this place is not what's good. The other night my fiance and I decided to go. She said the food looked good. 12.99 for food that didn't include a drink. The egg rolls tasted freezer burnt 🔥. The restroom was not clean smelled like rotten eggs. Last but not least Kleenex for paper towels on the table. Never will I come back here. This place is not worth the time nor the money I am sorry.

On the website there is a $15.00 minimum for delivery food. I ordered my food through the phone due to the wind being bad messing up the internet. The lady tells me that there is a $25.00 minimum for delivery order. I DON’T LIKE DISHONEST PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WHEN I’ve been a loyal customer for 5 plus years. We ordered the chicken chow mein and hot sour soup. The soup is supposed to have a kick. It was a dud. The chicken chow mein was flavorless. My husband ordered beef fried rice. I went online and was ordering from China Express in Lubbock on 4th St. and my total was $10.85 I said not bad. I could not find the drinks. I looked and looked and couldn't find them so I called them it was 9:03 PM. The website said $15.00 Minimum. The person on the phone told me $20.00 and I had to order another egg-roll to meet the requirements so I did. My total was $20.46. I was like but when I went online it was $10.45. He told me the website has been messing up. OK I said "You have Diet Dr. Pepper he said yes we do, I said fine I'll take a large with no ice. He told me it only comes in a can" I said fine I'll take two he said OK, $20.46. I said OK., Cash, he said OK 30 minutes. I said OK. At 10:04 he still wasn't here so I called back and someone else answers the phone and when I started asking about my food, I was told the driver came here 5 times and tried to call me and it went straight to Voicemail, so the driver left and we just threw food away. I'm here and if the driver came here 5 times why didn't he ring the doorbell to the NH. He said couldn't find it. HUMPH says clear as DAY. Please Ring for SERVICE. He said we bring food right away. About 10:32 or about I finally got the food. I handed him $25.00 and said keep the change. I didn't get a DIET DR.PEPPER I for Diet Coke. FYI I don't like Diet Coke. The House Special (Combo Fried Rice) tasted terrible. I noticed it had something on the bottom all sticky. It smelled bad. My friend said it looked like it was in the TRASH! I called the restaurant for a refund! THEY WERE ALREADY CLOSED. I hope they didn't throw it in the trash because that's unsanitary. GROSS. You have nobody to turn to if the Corona don't get you China Express will. Especially in Lubbock. I THINK WE SHOULD BOYCOTT THEM. SERVING FOOD FROM THE TRASH. WHAT CUSTOMERS DON'T KNOW

Ate their food Friday it was the only meal I had for the day. Ended up getting food poisoning!!!! Still have a fever at 101. It was so bad that I still am recovering 5 days later. Never will order food from this establishment again!!!!

I would leave a negative star review if I could! I placed an order on THIER website. When I went to get it, there weren’t any workers present just a long line of customers. So I went back to my car and called to see if my order was ready. They said “they can’t access my order.” WHAT?? I said it’s your website?? Then I asked to speak to the manager and the girl on the phone kept saying she would give my number to the manager. When she finally said the manager was coming to the phone, I just got hold music. I will never ATTEMPT to eat here again. -15/10.
