Got menudo to go and it really hit the spot. The caldo had the perfect consistency and was full of flavor. It came with onions, cilantro, oregano, and homemade masa tortillas. Great service too. Super friendly and attentive people.

Great little mexican restaurant in city of Martinez. Food was outstanding. Service was slow. They may have been short of staff today. But Service was very friendly. Even the chef was out on the floor expedating Service. Their mexican coffe was so good we took it home. Will be back next time we're in the area.

The flautas are gorgeous and delicious. I want to return soon to try the street corn... Back two weeks later and the esquites is as tasty as expected! I paired it with a bowl of guacamole and chased it with an empanada. I can't wait to return to try more dishes.

Excellent chili rellenos! I've never had one prepared this way. A hugh fresh green chili, split and stuffed with two kinds of cheese and topped with shredded chicken. Wow!

Some of the best mexican in the whole east bay. Taco tueaday is $1.50 tacos like its still the 90s! The staff is really kind but can be slow. Honestly they could actively abuse me and it would be worth it that's how good the food is.

I love the atmosphere of Mi Casita, it's a cheerful restaurant with a brightly colored interior. The chicken tamales I had were really good, even better when I added a little salsa on top! I've never had to wait for a table here and the staff is very upbeat and friendly. ♥️

Wow!! What a find! The BEST Mexican restaurant in Martinez. Took the fam for dinner and everyone loved it so we had them cater our pool party a couple of weeks later. The taco bar was perfection. Delicious beans and rice and street corn! We’ll be going Al the time from here on out!!

The wait staff were very nice and attentive and the food was excellent. My husband had menudo and I had pozole, each with all the trimmings and handmade tortillas. Their margaritas were rimmed with Tahin and were perfect - not too strong or weak. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely go back again.

Last night, Mi Casita did dinner for 30 guests of ours for a pre wedding family dinner in advance of our daughter’s marriage today. Alexandra, one of the owners, could not have been more generous and welcoming. Everyone ordered from the menu and our guests were enthusiastically complimentary. Many said their meal was the best Mexican food they’ve ever had. The room was beautiful and our guests all felt valued. The food was highest quality and authentic. Of particular note: their shrimp dishes are among the best shrimp I’ve seen in any kind of restaurant: perfectly done, not rubbery or dry. The roasted corn appetizer was a complete hit, flavorful and fresh. Burritos were also full, large and full of complex flavors. The berria also exceptional. Atmosphere is warm, pretty and comfortable and staff was great esp given the challenges of a large group. Three Martinez residents praised this restaurant, calling it their favorite and praising our decision to host the group there. Great food, great service and great value! Thanks Mi Cassita for a memorable night!

Stopped by randomly the other day and never knew it existed! This place is nestled in Martinez. The food is absolutely delicious! You will understand why they were recognized for best Mexican restaurant in just a short 3 months since their opening. We had the Al Pastor and Birria burritos, the tamales and corn and oh my goodness they were amazing.The rice and beans also amazing.👌They know what they’re doing and I will be back for sure whenever I head that way again!

We doordashed some food from this place, having never been there before. And I have to say we were very impressed! The presentation, the quality of the ingredients, and most importantly the flavors were excellent! I live within the general area, and have tried probably every Mexican restaurant in the Concord, Pleasant Hill and Martinez areas. Born and raised in this area, and am now retired. We love us some Mexican food, LOL. I wish I would have taken photos. But I wasn't expecting to be surprised so much. We will order again soon, and I'll definitely take some photos to post up. I don't write a lot of reviews, but thought this place kind of breaking the mold, it deserves a shout out. Good job folks!

This Tortilla soup is the Boooomb!. I have had many soups in the area and this ones flavor is perfect! Plus you get fresh avocado, lime and chips on the side.

Breakfast cuts off at 11, even on the weekends, so we tried the tamale plate, came very nicely plated, very pretty arrangement. Can't fault the flavors, but the rice and bean portions were a little small. Looking forward to trying the birria next time, even if it is beef instead of the traditional goat. Ask them for the hot sauce. Very spicy, with a smoky/roasted chile flavor.

So glad I came! Had the Chile Verde which the hostess recommended and it was absolutely delicious! Reminded me of New Mexico with large chunks of delicious green chiles. I can't wait to go back & try something else!

I was not a fan of the food

It took forty minutes to get our drinks.We had to ask for chips and salsa which took another fifteen minutes.After over an hour and fifteen minutes we finally got dinner.One was made wrong so it had to be remade.My fajitas were warm and the beans and rice were cold.I never did get my tortillas.Sorry to say we won’t be back.

We came for dinner on Cinco De Mayo around 5:30pm. Not even half the tables were full yet the service was EXTREMELY SLOW. The hostess wasn't at the front, other workers saw us but didn't say anything to us. We finally got seated and it took them forever (I'd say a solid 20 mins) to take our order, we finally had to tell someone that we were ready to order. We put our order in and we got our food pretty quickly which was great but the cocktail took awhile. The food was good, not great: The ceviche was a little sweet and not enough chips. My wet burrito was pretty small, I couldn't taste much pico de gallo and a dollop of guacamole would've been nice, it was definitely missing something. I ordered the birria one and it's a little on the sweet side and some extra regular salsa, not the warm sauce. Also, I thought birria came with consome? We ordered 4 other items and everyone said their food was decent. We probably won't go back again.

The service was awful. We were seated right away, and chips & salsa guy was on it, right away to the table. We placed a drink order and food order at the same time. That is when the incredibly slow 🐌 service started. It took quite a while to get our sodas to the table, like 20 min. Our food came out. All of us (3) got quesabirra tacos. The meat was delicious. The shells were soggy and lacked luster. Our drinks were empty for another 20 min before we were able to flag a waitstaff for more. We ordered churros (1 order) for dessert and then waited for the check. I am guessing 🤔 15 min. The restaurant didn't seem overly busy. There were numerous waitstaff helping customers. The bill was crazy high. $83 bucks, including tip. Nope 🙅‍♀️ Back to the best mexican restaurant in Martinez, Cinco De Mayo (Center Ave location) 😋 The reason we didn't go there first, it was Sunday! 😥

Service was decent and quick but the food was subpar and mediocre at best. They also don't have a liquor license yet and don't have beer. I ordered the chili verde plate which was pretty expensive and barely came with any chili verde. It was mostly sauce and only enough pork to make two small street size tacos. The flour tortillas also tasted strange and we're really chewy. Not homemade and also not good. The rice and beans were okay but not great. Once they get beer and if they start making their own homemade tortillas or get a different supplier, and give a better proportion for large plates this might deserve three or four stars. I was actually looking for the Don Chai taqueria which is right next door but pulled into Mi Casita instead and thought to give it a shot. Was pretty disappointed. The following week I ended up going to Don Chai which has awesome tacos and superior food.

If you’re looking for fresh authentic Mexico food skip this place. Salsa for the chips tasted old I ordered pastor tacos and the meat was chewy and had a weird taste to it. Extremely let down, would definitely not come again.

I’m sorry but i would NEVER EVER come back here. I came to eat about 3 weeks ago and ordered some shrimp tacos, I didn’t like because the sauce was weird told the waitress and she was very rude about it. Told what did i wanted to do i said i didn’t want anything anymore just the check and she was going to charge me them ( like i took 2 bite) thinking the second bite was going to be better. When i was going to pay her she grabbed the money so aggressively.

Quite disappointed ordered lunch from this restaurant today while at work. Didn’t bring utensils therefore I can’t even eat the food and it’s getting cold. Look good, but I can’t say it tasted good for I won’t be eating cold Mexican food. Can’t leave work hence the reason I did a delivery. Waste of my money. Restaurant should always Include utensils for takeout and or DoorDash. Won’t be ordering from this restaurant in the future.
