We added an extra day to our stay just so we could eat here. The food is always AMAZING, the drinks and superb. We've enjoyed getting to know the owner and his staff. Great service, even better food. DO NOT MISS OUT on this. And you better make reservations!

My boyfriend took me here for our first anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely amazing! The Elevation Cosmo was soooo good! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The service was a little slow, but they were missing a couple of people in the kitchen, so they still get 5 stars from me! (You absolutely have to get the Sweet Potato Bread Pudding! It was worth the trip by itself!)

Hidden treasure in Mentone, AL! Call ahead and make your reservation, you will not be disappointed. The bone-in pork chop, carrots and mashed potatoes were pure elegance presented as comfort food and the Caesar salad was topped with exquisite dressing made on site by the chef. Service was friendly and on point. The owner even took time to circulate through the tables and connected with every patron. Amazing experience that you must try for yourself!

Hubby and I had a wonderful dinner at this place; it is small and intimate with friendly service and absolutely delicious food. I love the farm-to-table concept. Also, they have vegetarian options; almost all the appetizer choices are vegetarian, the spaghetti with mushrooms (instead of shrimp) was so delicious and savory! My favorite was the pecan pie bread pudding for desert!! Top notch food and service, we will be back 😁

My wife and I were in Mentone for two nights and ate here both nights. Both nights they had an amazing live musician. The service was great and the food was excellent. My wife loved the shishito peppers and I thought the fried green tomatoes and key lime pie were amazing. If they have the snapper on the menu order it, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend if in Mentone. We'll be back next time we are in town.

This place is one of the most surprisingly fantastic eateries I’ve ever been. We were staying in Mentone for the New Year and went in on New Year’s Day. I had Cacio e Pepe which was just fantastic, and sweet potato bread pudding for dessert. My wife had the New Year’s Day meal (ham, greens, black eyed peas) and the green were some of the best I’ve ever had. Great service, creative and passionate chef and staff… I will be back and recommend if have some time you go to.

This was a last minute thing for us. We got a reservation and arrived 40 minutes later. I'm so glad we got in (a Thursday night) because it was a delicious meal. We started with the marinated mozzarella ❤️❤️❤️, moved on to the crab cakes entree and the fall vegetables entree. I really enjoy an occasional break from meat so I was happy to see the option of roasted sweet potatoes, okra and crispy kale. We ended with the apple bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This was perfectly sweet without being so rich we couldn't finish it. This is our first time in Mentone and I have a suspicion that the place is going to explode in popularity. There are all the makings for a wonderful destination place. I forgot pictures of the entrees.

We have traveled all over the US and overseas quite a few times, and this is one of the top meals we have ever enjoyed. Amazing find - if you are even remotely in the area, it’s worth the trip. Call ahead for a reservation to be safe! Mozzarella appetizer and a Caesar salad, followed by the pork chop and a filet mignon special. Spectacular.

This place is Amazing! From service to food. We luckily made reservation at the end of hour and oh boy! Chef made everything to the order. Best mussels, shrimps spaghetti, fish, dessert. A must eat here when in Mentone

The vibe was perfect with candle light & live music. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great suggestions. The food was excellent. We had the mussels and ciabatta for our appetizer. The food was cooked perfect and delicious. I highly recommend you find this hidden gem and enjoy!!

Absolutely spectacular experience. This is award winning food. All farm to table. The wine list is perfect for the mixed European/southern cuisine. The entrees were delicious (red snapper, eggplant), but the key lime dessert stole the show. Plus the staff is unlike any other; so authentic and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to eat here during a perfect lightning bug-filled sunset. I absolutely cannot wait to come back here!! This is the best restaurant in a hundred mile radius. Period.

First time visitors. The food was (grass fed burgers…fries, Tapenade and cranberry basil margaritas…)uhmazing! Ashley our server was excellent… knowledgeable, personable, and a delight ! Kevin was attentive to our needs snd was very receptive to us… made us feel like regulars… we will be back!

Delicious! This is a must if you are in Mentone. I had the tilefish with charred broccoli which was perfectly cooked and tasty. My son devoured the hamburger. My cocktail was very good too. Service was top notch. Elevation bistro is by far the best restaurant in Mentone.

I had a beautiful pre-birthday dinner with my best friend of 20 years, here. This chicken dish was absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned and the capers just made it. The drinks were also very well-done. I tried the watermelon-basil marg. Will be back.

It's clear that careful thought went into naming this restaraunt. Because, elevate is what they do! The food is exquisite. Also, ask for Fontana, the best waitress I've ever had. In fact the entire staff is elevated. Its very obvious they all care deeply about YOUR dining experience. Restaraunts in Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile have nothing on this place. James Beard winners? James Beard judges? Pay attention... Its very likely, Elevation Bistro is the best restaraunt in the State of Alabama. If you have not eaten here yet, get a table while you still can. The grouper and the tres leches cake... mmmmwa! Amazing!

When we walked in we were promptly greeted with a smile by Reid. We felt very welcome right away. We didn’t have a reservation but he was able to find a table for us and made sure we were happy with our table. The food was amazing, our server was amazing and the atmosphere was superb. So glad we decided to eat here. I don’t typically order a cream based pasta, but I’m glad I did. My pasta with the addition of grilled shrimp was amazing. My wife had the marinated mozzarella which was also very good. We shared and the two dishes together were fabulous. Our service was great including the chef visiting to ask how we liked the food. Loved the atmosphere as well. Definitely would go back.

The shrimp pasta was delicious and the shrimp were huge. The mozzarella appetizer was amazing, too. Servings were plentiful. Prices were reasonable. Service was great. Would definitely pass on the salads though, stick with the pasta.

This restaurant was recommended by a local in Mentone and it was fabulous. This food was uniquely flavored and is new everyday, in the farm to table concept. The owner/chef is very experienced having opened numerous restaurants in many cities but chose to open his own in Mentone. The shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had, so different from the many others I have had-light and and a different type of flavor. Fresh shrimp arrives twice a week. Failed to photograph the pecan roasted bread pudding-yum, yum, yum.

We were in Mentone celebrating our 10th anniversary and this was the only place open on a Thursday night. So glad it was! The BEST (most expensive) meal we have ever eaten but every thing was on point and made it worth it. From the drinks: old fashioned, cosmo, & amaretto sour The appetizer: Marinated Mozzarella The meals: Red Snapper & Airline Chicken To the dessert: Pecan Pie Bread Pudding EVERYTHING was absolutely amazing!

Really! OMG! This may be one of the best dinners I've ever eaten. Must have a reservation to eat here. This small place has limited seating and is in "Demand". The Owner/Chef visited our table to ensure we were satisfied with our dishes. He said all of his ingredients for his dishes are sourced from only the best farms. Right down to the butter which is shipped in from Vermont. Now that is unique and why everything is so good. He constructs his menu depending on what is fresh and in season. Great care and love is given to every detail of the dishes. Worth the drive from anywhere! You must try this at least once in your life.

My wife and I had an unforgettable dining experience at Elevation while celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary in Mentone. From start to finish, everything was exceptional — the food was flavorful and beautifully prepared, the service was attentive and warm, and the ambiance made it the perfect spot for a special evening. We were especially impressed that the chef and owner personally came out to speak with us — a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly valued. I only wish I had ordered an extra pasta to take home for later! We’ll definitely be back.

We walked in to the nicest man who just put me into a great mood before we ever sat down. Turns out he was the chef. That’s cool. The marinated mozzarella was perfect and set the tone for an absolutely wonderful dinner. The Lemon Chicken with Capers is in my opinion underpriced and absolutely wicked good. The Red Snapper with grits and arugula gave me a religious experience. I tasted god. Not to even mention the outstanding service and a chef who is as passionate about food as I am!

Visiting from So California. Chef owner, Kevin, provides an amazing experience for his patrons with the excellently prepared food, gracious service and casual elegant surroundings. Fantastic caprese salad, shrimp and grits, grilled chicken and roasted vegetables closing with scrumptious pecan bread pudding. Delightful cocktails on the side. Such a special time.

This is the second time I've been here in the last 3 years, and it was just as good as it was the first time. The farm-to-table menu is limited but has enough variety for everyone. And, from what I've experienced, everything is prepared to perfection. As I ate my extremely delicious garden salad and my gourmet burger with caramelized onions, I overheard others rave about their dishes as well. Even their sodas are organic and locally made. The atmosphere is simple but elegant using lighting and artwork to elevate a mountain rustic style to a more refined experience. There's also the option of outside dining allowing you to eat a wonderful meal surrounded by the beauty of Mentone. We did not have a reservation, but I suspect if we'd been there any later we would have needed one. I recommend you call ahead to make sure there's a table for you. Parking is easy with some spaces right in front and another whole lot on the side. It is handicap accessible.

Arguably the best restaurant in northeast alabama. The menu perfectly balances taste and creativity. It's obvious that the chef puts great pride and intentionality into every item. Highly recommend the marinated mozzarella, the chicken, the pork chop, and the brownie to finish. Every single bite was perfectly balanced flavor. I could go on and on about how the sauce perfectly complemented the mushrooms or how the brownie was perfectly executed with just the right texture and flavor or how the salted caramel was perfectly balanced, etc. etc. Just go and try it all for yourself. It's worth the trip and worth every penny.

This place is incredible! I knew I needed to make a stop here on our trip when I saw the other reviews, as well as that the menu all comes from local farms. We had Reed as our server, who did a fantastic job. The meal was perfect from start to finish. After hiking over six miles that day, we were in need of a big meal. We started with the crispy tempura mushrooms. For the main course I had the bone in pork chop with apple ginger chutney and roasted vegetables. My boyfriend had the ribeye with herb compound butter and crispy broken potatoes. We finished with the pecan pie bread pudding. We seriously can’t stop talking about this place. Even though it’s about 9+ hours from home, we are going to have to find a way to visit again. Thank you!

My husband and I came to Mentone for our honeymoon. We came to elevation bistro for dinner and now we want to come every year for our anniversary. Kevin went above and beyond to make table accommodations for us. The caesar salad was the best salad we have ever had! They make their dressing in house. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the red snapper with cheese grits and the flavor was out of this world! All of their food is brought in from specialty farms so the freshness of each item was impeccable! We ordered the pecan bread pudding to go and they give you directions for re heating. It was delicious! Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone. They take pride in every dish that they make and it shows!

This place has the trifecta: atmosphere, incredible food , and authentic fabulous service! Our meals were incredible! Our mozzarella sun-dried tomato appetizer situation was a flavor explosion. My husband had the hamburger which was grilled to perfection and was so flavorful(so I'm told. He devoured it before I could see for myself). I had the shrimp pasta which was so extremely fresh and fantastic. What took the cake was dessert. Pardon the pun. The pecan pie bread pudding made me want to cry it was SO GOOD! Run, don't walk, to this place! It doesn't disappoint! Kevin the owner and Andi our server were so authentic and attentive. What a delight Elevation is! We will be back!

I’ve never been the one to write a review on anything but Elevation Bistro deserves all the praise. I was pleasantly surprised on how incredible our entire meal was. From the appetizer to our entrees… we were truly blown away. By the end of dinner we agreed that this was the best meal of 2024. The service was also impeccable. Incredible! The food here is so unexpectedly good for a small vacation town. Seriously. When we travel to small tourist towns like this, we expect and accept that the food will usually be mediocre since there are limited options and you're sort of at the mercy of local restaurants. Well, let me tell ya, Elevation doesn't take advantage of their tourist customers. They truly live up to their namesake and elevate the local dining experience in Mentone, AL. Everything we ordered was perfect. The burger is a triumph; they clearly use high quality beef. My wife ordered the lemon caper chicken and it was absolutely superb (she let me have some because she's beautiful and awesome). I cannot overstate how good the food is here. I'm still shocked at the meal I just ate in this tiny little Alabama mountain town. Oh and this was take out and STILL they nailed it. Thank you all for a great meal!!

5-stars all around. Excellent, excellent food. Everything we ordered was delicious, even the Caesar salad was one of the best we’ve ever had. You can definitely tell the difference when a restaurant cooks with local farm-to-table ingredients. The service was outstanding and even the chef checked on each table personally to see how everyone enjoyed their food. This place is a must. Hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve been to, and definitely the best in Mentone. You won’t be disappointed.

In a word... Incredible! The most unexpected meal in the most unexpected place I could imagine finding it. Little Mentone, Alabama. All was farm to table and locally sourced (even listed sources on the menu!) The staff was pleasant and attentive, the chef came out to check on us. I cannot remember a restaurant where the food was this good and it was apparent they enjoyed what the did! Mussels appetizer, delicious. Crab cakes, best tasting ever put in mouth... and gluten free! Bone in pork chop, 1 inch thick, cooked perfectly all the way through with a apple chutney sauce... unbelievably good. Ordered a bourbon bread pudding to go... they asked, "do you want us to plate it for you or include instructions with it?" If you are within a hundred miles of Mentone Alabama on a Thursday-Friday-Saturday or Sunday night, this place is a must!!!

We go to Elevation Bistro often. In addition - we are vegans. Kevin, who is the owner and the chef, always accommodates us. Kevin personally comes out to each table to introduce himself and check to make sure his guests are happy. It is no wonder that Elevation Bistro was recently named one of the top restaurants in Alabama!

Shrimp & Grits VERY good - great bacon flavor. Red Snapper was good too - did not like side (sauteed kale). Both came with a salad. A little pricey and don't get in a hurry.

Elevation has been one of our favorite restaurants when visiting mentone for the last couple of years. However, the last two times we have been disappointed. My friend got the crab cakes &potatoes and sadly the cakes looked like dark brown very near burnt and the potatoes were dry and hard. I had the shrimp, basmati rice, and cabbage &kale. The shrimp were fine, but the strong salty over done soy sauce made the dish inedible. I hate putting this review on here but we hope that this will bring back the quality we expect and pay for.

Food was ok, but nothing special. My shrimp and grits was served barely warm. I would have sent it back, but I had an event to attend and didn't have time to do that. My partner's "Plane Chicken" was a little dry shrunk up breast and wing, with very little flavor. Probably won't return there when I'm in Mentone again.

Would have give a negative rating if it wasn’t for Andy our waitress & good beer! Tempura mushrooms were bland. The cream dipping sauce was bland with a hint of horse radish. The other dipping sauce was pepperoncini’s & the juice. My husband could eat sage grass if needed but he couldn’t eat the red snapper. The “sizzling olive sauce” was god awful. I spit out the bite I tried. The roasted broccoli was burnt. How can broccoli ever not be good? The chef said “everything was made exactly the way it’s supposed to be”. Happy to say it was taken off the bill. The shrimp spaghetti was decent. Again it was bland but I did eat it. The bill totaled $54 for 2 beers, appetizer, spaghetti & tea.

Menu is poorly executed and hard to understand. I was ordering what I thought was chicken Alfredo and it came out spaghetti and I don’t eat spaghetti. When the waiter ask what was wrong I told him and all he said was “oh sorry let me grab you a box” so therefore I didn’t eat.The atmosphere was adorable tho.
