This place was bumping! The Colombian half of the menu has brought a fun life into Hegenburger. We went in for a burger and left with Colombian special plates (Bandeja paisa) and drinks (lulo). My daughter still got her cheese burger :) Jose and crew have a clear passion and it shows up in the food and atmosphere.

The beautiful thing about Oakland and it’s snail business is that there is a sense of care to give your best. I got to try the chicken teriyaki at Hegenburger and it was the best, just the right amount of sodium in the sauce. Very busy during work hours lunch. But people are just patient knowing what they will get is good for their body. I will try the burger next time I visit.

I love a meaty, cooked, juicy, burger. Nicely, done! No skinny, fake, tasting, In & Out burger. Lol Ordered a mushroom burger. Granted, I would've loved more mushrooms. It was still filling with lots of fresh fries. Impressed with the friendly service, and quick. Impressed, for a notso fancy, restaurant. It is Clean! No sticky tables like a majority of places.👏👏 The Floor was clean! Family owned. I will be coming back. When I am in this area. For a quick burger or something else.

Hegenburger has got to be the best burger spot in Oakland!! Their curly fries are to die for honestly. I have been going there for about 3 years now and I love that I can still keep going even after turning vegetarian/pescatarian because their veggie burger is sooo good too! They also have a fish burger and their Teriyaki Salmon was delicious! 5 out of 5 stars for awesome food and wonderful service every time!

Great burgers and steak sandwiches. Last time I was there, I ordered the burger, fries and a soft drink. The "real" burger was the best I've had in a long time. The fries were perfect. I went back to the self serve drink dispenser and got myself a second big cup of soft drink. A very satisfied customer here. Plenty of free parking. Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Nice clientele.

Don't let the part of town scare you... Friendly service with great burgers. Tasty french fries and veggies burgers that are better than what most places serve. The people at the counter seemed to truly care about providing a satisfying meal. Great stop before returning to airport.

Found it on google maps and was surprised to see it was also Columbian food! I got a fried chicken sandwich and it was really good and filling! My friend ordered Columbian food which i tried, and was also good! Recommend!!

Ballpark chaser and saw this place and the ratings. Parking was convenient, place was empty but the service was great. We were told they were only doing To-Go orders so they could close early, otherwise they'd get a 5 star review. Got the double burger all the way with pepper jack and it was absolutely delicious, curly fries were great, regular fries were ok.

I though it had a difrent name, they cook the meat on wood it had a prety good smokey flavor I had the combo meat pork and beef for $25 they said it was ny steak, not brisket the only thing it was alittle tuff, pupusa was really good us been colombian

Fountain soda machine was out of order but they substitute a drink from their 2 fridges they have, I got a glass bottle coke which was cool. I got the double combo with cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado and grilled onions which was why the price was 21$ for a combo because every addition was $1.50 more. The fries were super hot and fresh and the burger was good. Everything came in a to go bag with 5 ketchup packets and some napkins. Also when driving here be careful when you turn into the parking lot and the entrance has some messed up road thay could easily damage your vehicle.

Small burger joint that's shared with the Columbian restaurant, same owner. The burgers take about 20 minutes so it's not fast. Nothing special about this place and the burger wasn't good. It's been open for 5 months so hopefully they'll improve.
