Standard Rec is my absolute favorite spot for happy hour. I can't get enough of the animal fries and General Tso’s cauliflower, and my go-to drink, the blueberry mule, which they've recently switched to a delightful strawberry mule. The ambiance is everything—great music, fun games, and exceptional service. I recently tried the smash burger, and if you ever crave the taste of an In-N-Out burger, this is the place to be! It's incredibly tasty!

2nd time here. Love the games they have to play, like speedball, Pac-Man, board games, card games etc. They have a great happy hour selection at the bar. Live music. Great time to spend with friends. My drink 🍸 was good, shared an appetizer and my roasted veggie tacos 🌮 were yummy.it

Love to bring my children here. The food, service, and Atmosphere are great for a family. Had the Tuna Tacos, it was delightful but hubby said the chicken tacos were amazing!

So tonight for dinner we went to a place that we had never been to. In the heart of Patchogue we went to a restaurant called standard Rec. It's a restaurant with a very nice bar and a really great vibe. They have video games and bar games spread out throughout the entire place and it was just a really cool place to hang out. We ordered two appetizers. The first was a giant pretzel. It came with mustard and melted cheese sauce. The pretzel was piping hot and I really liked it. We also ordered a thing of nachos which were regular nacho chips and plantain chips mixed together. There was plenty of chicken and it was all fresh white meat. Kenny of course had an order of wings. He said the wings were good and had a decent amount of heat. He liked the buffalo sauce so much he asked for a side for his french fries. My daughter had a regular cheeseburger which is two patties with cheese lettuce tomato. It came with a side of fries. She enjoyed it. My wife had the lettuce wraps under the appetizers for her main meal. They were very good. The only negative is she ask for no scallions and they sprinkled scallions on top. they're easy enough to pick off so it wasn't that big of a deal and the waitress apologized profusely. I ordered a burger that had a fried round of mozzarella cheese in the middle of two burgers and their special sauce. It had a great flavor and was very messy to eat I really enjoyed the. For dessert we ordered a dessert that consisted of vanilla gelato two stuffed churros and candied pumpkin seeds. Thank you for the recommendation Meghan.. we had a blast.

We recently had dinner here because its conveniently located near the Patchogue Theater. Upon entering the restaurant I felt the lack of ambiance. Too open and warehouse-ish! but you can tell thats the desired affect they're looking to establish. The menu was limited to an upscale burger type place, which is what I ordered. Great tasting smash burger, cooked the way I ordered. The young man serving was respectful and catered to all our needs and always asking if we needed anything else. The pricing i thought was to the high side($19) for my burger, but I have to get used to todays pricing of everything being pricey! Enjoy!

I liked it. It has a 70's theme. It is a roomy place with a long bar. The food menu is small but good enough. They have burgers, poke bowls and the like. The craft beer is ok. The service was good. I will try it again.

The place is ok. Nothing worth remembering other than the price. Yes things cost more but service was just slow. Place is clean and welcoming. But for the area with a lot of competition it's easy to pass on coming here.

Got DoorDash general tsos chicken which tasted off, not very tasty and the chicken was grizzly.. it made me feel sick. Street corn empanadas were empty and greasy. Looks so much better than it tastes.

Arrived on a Wednesday at 630. Seated immediately. 10 minutes before anyone came over, 20 minutes after that still no first drinks. Can’t comment on food as we never even got there.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the unacceptable service I received during my recent visit on 08/27 My party and I waited an excessive amount of time for our meals, only to watch multiple tables who arrived well after us be served and finish eating before we were even acknowledged. The restaurant was no where near busy. This is not only unprofessional but also completely disrespectful to paying customers. As someone who works in the customer service industry as a bartender, I understand how important it is to treat every guest fairly and provide timely service. What I experienced at your restaurant fell far below the most basic standards of hospitality. Not only was the bartender disrespectful to my party and I by laughing at us when our food never came out. The manager on duty was extremely rude and disrespectful towards us as well.

Dined at Standard Rec with my family and left with mixed feelings. The atmosphere is undeniably cool, with a vibrant and welcoming vibe. However, the food and service fell short of expectations. My kids ordered the birria ramen, which had a proper beef broth base, but the flavor was lackluster. The eggs were well-executed, and the beef was tender with perfect flaking, but the dish overall was underwhelming. My wife’s General Tso’s chicken was disappointing—overly fried and lacking the balance you’d expect from this classic dish. My Korean steak bowl had fresh, tasty ingredients, but the steak itself was overcooked and chewy, detracting from the experience. While the meal was a solid three-star effort, the decision to charge for a fountain soda refill felt petty and left a sour taste. Unfortunately, this tipped the scales to a one-star rating. With some refinement in the kitchen and better service choices, Standard Rec could elevate the experience to match its great ambiance.
