Cute place! The plátanos were bomb and their salsa is so good!
What a great Mexican-Salvadorian fusion restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem in old town Victorville. I have gone here multiple times and the food is always amazing. The staff is very attentive and polite, and I always have a great experience with my family when I go. Whenever we go, we usually get the Carne Asada, Salvadorian enchilada plate, Pupusas, Gallina India & Albondiga soups, and champurrado - all AMAZING!
Hadn't been here in years. This time around the food and the service was amazing. We will definitely become regulars here. Our server was very sweet, and very attentive.
Great place for Salvadorean or Mexican food. The pupusas are fantastic, and so are the margaritas. If you want to try real, authentic Hispanic food, you have got to try this place. Almost anything you order here will come out tasting great! If you go on Friday nights there is live music after 7p.
Super nice people and super great food! Will definitely be coming back again
Great Mexican food, I had the 3 tacos plate had great flavor. Wife had a chicken burrito that she enjoyed. Guacamole dip prepared was very flavorful. Very busy for s Sunday.
Food is fresh and delicious! My husband and I love coming here. The employees are always friendly and smiling which is a big plus! Pupusas are always amazing!
Great place. I was expecting a less quality pupusas but i was amazed of how good they were.. my wife also was satisfied and she is picky with her food. Good job...
Warning: The servings at this place are large. The food was amazing. Tamales that melt in the mouth. Mouth watering paupusas. Amazing rolled tacos. Great service. Friendly staff. A hidden gem in Victorville. Go, you will not regret it.
I didn't get his name, but there was a young man who was such a joy and I made sure to tell him so. He gave hubby and me a hug and it made our day. The food was good and so was the margarita. We will be back.
Love this place, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is spectacular, the service of the waiters is friendly, attentive, and by the way we would like to see Giancarlo again at the Victorville restaurant, we have not seen him for many weeks, he is a young waiter super friendly and very helpful, hope to see Giancarlo soon 🙂
Very cozy place. The staff is great. The food is delicious. Friday nights, is a trio night. LIVE romantic music played after 7 p.m. Bring your special someone. You will not be disappointed.
First time here but had a very pleasant experience. Ordered Popusas and was very happy to have done so. Food was delicious and hot out of the grill. Restaurant was clean and friendly service. Prices real fair too. Definitely recommend!
The food is consistent and excellente when I go every Thursday The! The ladies making the food do an excellent job because everytime i order 15-20 pupusas they are spot on delicious and just remind me of the ones my Madre Rina used to make! The service is good and the place is fairly well kept. In my opinion it would be better if they put the curtido y salsa In a separate bag so it does not cool down the pupusas! Very small request but if that is the only complaint then you know this place is great! The lovely hard working ladies en la cocina, horchata, beer selection, Mexican food y comida Salvadoreña make this place worth coming back to on a regular basis!
EVERYTHING is always very good. The customer service is amazing. Oh and the pupusas are a must try; they are extremely delicious!!
I come here for the pupusas. That's basically all I get here. They are great, the servings are big and they are delicious. The service is good, the ambiance is good. I have not really eaten there although. Mostly take out.
This is one of my favorite places. Love their food and the service they give. Everyone helps with a smile and they are always making sure everything is ok. They don't have you waiting for service like in many other places. A very family oriented place to go and enjoy a delicious meal!
This is our favorite restaurant ever! Love the food, love the staff! I can't believe the customer who complained about being rushed through her meal when she sat at someone else's reserved table. What do you expect? Any way, we know to show up early enough to get seating and finish our meal before the reservations start showing up for the entertainment. Common sense. I recommend this place over any other.
The shrimp burrito is TO DIE FOR GOOD! There's this white sauce that I keep begging Tony (the owner) to give me the recipe for. But he won't. It's like having dinner with your family. They make you feel so welcomed. And the service is just amazing! Go! You will not regret it!
The food was good and the people are nice but I said twice not to put sour cream on my burrito and I even asked before I took my food to go. I got home and took a bite of sour cream right off the bat and now I don't feel like paying 11 dollars for a burrito anymore. The only thing I asked for and they couldn't even take the time to do that. I won't give a place less stars off of a mistake but come on :(
Food was made to order took a minute to arrive but was hot and delicious. Service was top notch and facility was very clean.
Wonderful ambiance. The musical talent was absolutely a treat and a pleasure. Staff was observant and generous. Wish they still served margaritas in the giant goblets but yummy nonetheless.
Haven't been here in approximately 10 yrs.Was I missing out!The food is just Awesome!I had the Cocido and my mom had Menudo. The flavor was phenomenal as you don't find that anywhere up here!! Highly recommend!!
We celebrate here every chance we get. The chilaquilles are to die for. Garlic spicey shrimp platter amazing!! Guacamole!!! Chillaquilles!!!!!!! Lol Spicey n delicious!
The food here is amazing. The beans and rice are next level. The hard tacos are heavenly. 🌮
The pupusas are A1 fire to me up here in Victorville I feel like they 10/10 in my opinion. The food in general is good tbh .
Love this place! The waitress Monica was so good. She came and refilled and gave us new fresh cold mugs of beer regularly. The other waiters/ waitresses were great as well. The food was delicious and they put on the football game for us. 5 stars
Nice place to eat. Soft music in the background, good service.
Been going here for years and everything on the menu is fabulously yummy! Love their prices, they greet u warmly when u come in and the servers are quick n make u feel like family! Best food in the high desert~definitely my go-to spot!!
My husband and I just tried Pancho's this evening. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was ok, not great, but the atmosphere and food made up for it. We each had the Panchos burrito wet style-so good! Then we had fried ice cream and what a treat that was! We will definitely be returning! Next time we will try the pozole which we saw other people get and Pina colada looked delicious too!
We have a few favorite servers there who simply ask us if we want the usual order. This is usually done before we even sit down. Food quality is always great and delicious. I would always choose to support this restaurant as opposed to a large chain.
I have only so far order pupusas. They are amazing. Also atole of corn. Sooo good!. If I go there it's for pupusas. ❤️
I ordered the Asada plate, and let me say that was fire especially with the homemade tortillas didn’t even know that was an option rice and beans were fire. That’s how you know, A place is gonna be good when their sides are good. This is my first time here and it won’t be my last. i’m from banning California. We don’t have nothing like this over there
Always delicious food been going there for 15 plus years.
Juan Carlos and Monica were so sweet and friendly! Loved the service and food. Will definitely be coming back
My Fiancé and I have been coming here for years and are always greeted with such kindess and respect. Monica has been a staple for us here and is such a kindhearted person and such more than just a waitress. The owner, Tony, is an amazing man and always goes the extra lenght to make sure service is top notch! Highly recommend to all my friends and family, you should try too!
The food is always so tasty and the service is amazing! We come here so often that the servers recognize us and make us feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable as well.
We went there for the first time. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The pupusas are great. It’s a nice, clean place to eat. I can’t wait to go back!!!
It's the best place ever. I've been coming a long time and have recommended to many family and friends. Today me and my friend are here for dinner and we're so pleased with the beautiful remodeling inside & out. Amazing. The food is always spectacular. Thank you, Monica, for always treating my family and friends like your family. Juan Carlos is such a cheerful, welcoming person as well, hard worker. Come support this restaurant. You will never be disappointed.😋👍
IT WAS SO GOOD! I went there with my family for me and my Abuelas birthday. I had a birria plate with some of their homemade tortillas. They made the atmosphere feel like home. If I could give them stars I would. One of the best birthday dinners I had in a long time. I will definitely be coming here again. We did spend a lot for how many people there were with us. But the price was worth it.
One of the best Salvadoran pupusa places in the High desert. The staff were super friendly and on top of it and the food was delicious. They have lorocco and cheese pupusas which aren’t as popular but they were delicious. The Atole de elote is delicious and they even serve hot chocolate. The only minor inconvenience I have experienced with this restaurant before is that I went 6 months ago and took a pupusa to go and they forgot to add curtido but I didn’t mind.
First time visit Pancho's Restaurant, it's Mexican and Salvadorian cuisine, all the dishes on the menu looks so delicious, I order steak with rice and Salad and my friend asked for Mojarra Frita plate ( Tilapia fish with rice and Salad) also looked very good, the Horchata ( rice drink) so amazing, hand made tortillas and the service 100 % satisfied, all the personnel were very nice, polite and friendly, willing to help you in anything that you may need, making sure that you're doing good, it was a wonderful experience, definitely I'll back to Pancho's Restaurant 😘👌
Everything was good but it was a little warm inside which could keep people from coming for lunch. It's the high desert, so get hot, but other than that, I give it a 4 across the board.
I did enjoy my time here. The service here was wonderful. I strongly suggest you stay away from ordering a margarita. It didn't taste right, I asked the server what alcohol was used...she said "wine". Who uses win in margarita? Big disappointment. Next time I just won't order that.
My dad loves this place and so do we! Great Service, Food is always delicious. Highly recommend if you haven't been here before.
Good service, food was delicious. Very disappointed with the additional Operation Fee I was charged on my receipt. Also was charged extra for paying with my credit card.
The salsa was delicious. The handmade corn tortillas were incredible. I had the alambres it was spectacular. We also ordered the queso fundido it was a bit on the greasy side. The only negative thing I can say about this establishment is that the wait staff took a million years to get to us and were not very attentive.
Had lunch here after a funeral. Food was delicious but the service wasn't very good. There were 14 people in our party at 3 different tables. Orders got confused, drinks weren't refilled, and chips and salsa weren't put out until requested 3 times. I will go there again and hope the service is better.
This was the second time I've been here. Both times were good. Had the shrimp cocktail the first time and tonight, had the chile relleno burrito. The burrito was ok, lot's of rice, not much cheese. The chile was good sized and burrito weighed just over a pound. The green salsa was very good. I ended up drinking what what left with my last bite.
It is a quiet, clean, friendly, and delicious restaurant. Spacious parking and I actually like the location. The service was as good as the food. If you haven't already been here please do yourself the pleasure and indulge!!!
I had the mojarra, it was little over salted. Ordered the birria also and it was very oily I could not eat it. The staff is very friendly but also very inattentive and forgetful. I waited a long time for the bill I ended up just walking to the front and paid there. I am willing to try this place again as I do like to give opportunities to these small businesses to make things better.
Pupusas are among the best I've had. Got a taste of the birria from my sister's bowl and it was pretty good. Family owned!
Food was delicious, but the waitress forgot to put our order in and we ended up having to wait. They discounted one beer from our check. I hope our next visit is a shorter one 😁 by the way paying extra for the hand made tortillas 😋 so worth it!
This place is fantastic. The setting is always festive and the food is fantastic. For some reason I got a cold meal (which was still delicious when I tried it), and they still replaced it quickly. The drinks were large and so you likely wouldn't need more than 2 to get a good buzz going. If you want good Mexican food and aren't afraid to spend to get it, I'd highly recommend this place.
Food is pretty good service is a disaster. One waitress is very good but the other you only see her when she takes your order brings your food the next time when she brings your bill
First time trying this place. You start I guess say it was in a very odd location for a restaurant, but the place was packed. It is a Mexican/Salvadorian mix on the menu. So there are plenty of choices. I'm not used to Salvadorian food, and the carnitas plate, which is a Mexican dish, didn't taste authentic to me. That's not to say it was bad. It's just that it didn't have that genuine Mexican carnitas flavor. The shrimp empanadas were delicious, especially with the dipping sauce they serve them with. The service was really good, and the atmosphere was fairly nice. Overall, a pretty nice experience.
This place has become my husband's & my new favorite spot for to go! Between the Pupusas, Handmade Sopes, Burritos & Carne Asada Fries we enjoy it all =]] Prices are reasonable & the food is decently consistent. Give this restaurant a try! & Don't forget to ask for their spicy red sauce, it's smokey =P
I went around 2pm it was a party of 4. They forgot to put in 2 of my orders until I went to ask about it. The servers almost gave me the wrong bill as well. It wasn’t busy yet they forgot to come check on us and see if we needed anything. Wasn’t too happy with the food either. The servers need to get it together.
They require a mask to get in the door to walk to your table. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was ok. The salsa was good, but only first bowl is complimentary. After that its a $1. Pina Colada was good too.
I love the pupusas but don’t get them on Thursdays when they’re on special. The ingredients tend to taste older and not as good. Customer service could be better.
This is a nice little/medium size place that's kinda off the beaten path. The people are polite and attentive and the food is not bad, would I go again???
service was outstanding which is unfortunate given the quality of the food. the food was under seasoned or over seasoned to the point that it was inedible. they replaced the food that was inedible free of charge which was nice of them! however, I've been here multiple times & the food is always on either end of bland & over seasoned; never finding itself somewhere in the middle.
The place has changed but not for the best. The price has gone up significantly, which is no surprise as its gone up everywhere, but the portions are smaller. Maybe not a big deal to most but the first basket of chips and salsa are free, after that, they charge you. The food quality is fair but not what it was a few years ago. Likely won't return unless craving pupusas.
It's not bad food at all. It isn't exceptional either. Overall it's just okay. I would definitely eat here again. It's just not the best I've had but as I said, it most certainly is not bad at all. Part of what colors my review is that they burned my pupusas on the bottom, so it tasted kinda like burned pork. It was mildly unpleasant, but in a first for me, I added salt and that balanced out the flavor. I never thought I would be putting salt on a pupusa, but here we are 😁
I don't know why I come here to eat.. I guess I think that something has changed here. The food is par at best. It is overpriced. AND everytime there's this guy invading our meal trying to sell candy bars.... He sets his candy bars right on the table and won't take NO for an answer. I suppose I go there because it's convenient following a long long wait at the DMV.
So I though I found a good place to eat now I change my mind I been waiting a hour on puposa I order 4 they servers 3 other ppl forgot about my order than when I ask they tell me oh there on the grill when I literally just watch them put them on after I had to mention it. Disappointed about the service
I always eat there when I have to go to the dmv. Today I ordered 2 pupusas, normally they are good, but today both were really bad, some parts were under cooked and the chicharon tasted spoiled I almost gaged and didn't eat it. I got up went to the cashier paid my bill and walked out. I didn't complain or returned them because I don't like doing that but if I ever go again I just won't order pupusas any more.
To be honest, I liked my bean and cheese burrito. But my low rank is for three burrito my husband received which had some unknown substance in it that he couldn't chew or bite or swallow. We couldn't even make out what it was. Now he's scared to go back. I do have one recommendation for this establishment and any other Mexican joint in the area. Please, please, please, if you use lard or any other pork fat in your ingredients... Let customers know. We don't eat pork and it would be nice to see what is being used to avoid getting sick and going against our religious preferences. That's a law suit waiting to happen!!!
I ate here on Thursday, I ordered a torta with asada. I ordered it with no beans and no tomato, what I got on it was the meat, avocado, grilled onion, mayonnaise and a little bit of mustard. I told my wife to torta was pretty good despite the fact that I called my order in and was told 15 minutes, got there in about 13 minutes and still had to sit and wait another 30. We went back the next day. Friday I ordered the same thing, this time I got completely different meat chopped up instead of sliced like last time then I got guacamole shredded lettuce and that's it. I don't know what the hell happened, but I completely different sandwich.
The pupusas were okay 👍, but the Mexican food was not flavored enough. The Birria plate was expensive little portion and needed more flavor the flan was not flan , it was Jell-O and was like 9 bucks. Beverages with no refill were 5 bucks each . We spent like 80$ and left unsatisfied. staff was nice but very neglectful despite us being literally in front of the register 🙄 😑.
Waited so long for a server finally came took our order, the Micheladas where horrible. When my fiance noticed that the people at the table next to us were served chips and salsa even though they arrived after us he said "let's Go" I don't know if he forgot or what happened. We left and ended up at a different restaurant that has excellent service and is very organized.
Food is good, but the service and waitresses they have there are HORRIBLE! Bring the wrong orders to tables, are late on your requests, forget to bring what you asked, bad attitudes with 1 of the waitresses. They need to get better servers.
I only gave 1 star cause I can't do no stars. My husband went there and ordered alot of tacos and pupusa. Pupusa was good cheese and jalapeños spicy. But unfortunately we all got sick from the tacos. The asada tacos were off the taste and feel of them. The quesadillas he ordered for my son was nasty also. My son would not eat it. So my daughter ate it. After eating the tacos we were all running to the restroom. I'm Diabetic so my body handles food poison different. I got stomach pain and my daughter also. I had fever and chillis to the where I went to er. My husband won't be going back. I'm still in pain and fever today
Oysters were bad and when i told the workers they said no they're good and didnt want to exchange for better ones. Waiters were rude about the stituation. I spend over $150. I was not asking for my money back or anything like that just wanted them to give us something different. Rate service 0 .
I have gone in several times and I expect more when the owner is there. All the ladies are wonderful, friendly with great service, but the owner's hygiene is questionable. During covid 19, I called to place an order no answer for this location. So I called the one in hesperia, they tried to find out why the other location was not picking up and took my orde . The guy even called me back to confirm that the order was getting made. When I got there the owner was not complying with the rules to wear a face mask. He packed the food and off I went. Food is ok, if there was another salvadorean place I would rather order from there. I guess you won't find out if I died from it.
Been here a few times, service has NEVER been great, let alone good. This last time it was absolutely horrendous, the waitresses seemed bothered that we showed up, gave us attitude right when we walked in the door. Once we were seated it took forever for someone to come help us, even then the waitress seemed mad that she had to do her job. Took us forever to get our drinks and chips and salsa. We ordered our food and it took 30 minutes just to get it, once we got it....it was COLD. We ordered a molcajete, and one thing it should never be, is COLD. The cheese was laid on top and wasn't melted, the meat wasn't even room temp. It's safe to say, I'll never be returning to this place.
The birria here is horrible, it has no flavor at all and the service is horrible. My husband had to get up several times to ask for what we needed because none of the waiters came to ask. The only good thing here are the pupusas. I do not recommend this place, the food has no flavor and the service is bad.
over priced for tasteless food. 3 Tbl spons of green and red salsa for a party of 4. Chips for dipping was good. Food..no flavor. Very sparse filling for tacos. Potato tacos, the cheapest item to make was double the price there. Will never return!
We usually go there & they attended well when we did. Went this time, they sat us down & we waited approximately 30 mins just to get chips & salsa + drinks. We ordered our food & we never received it. An hour & a half waiting for food it never arrived so we decided to leave & just pay for the drinks we got. Will never come back again.
We used to come often, but I feel like there’s a change in management and it shows. The waitress who seated us and took our drink orders was nice but a bit absent minded. We asked for chips and she never brought them out. Another lady, in a different color shirt came to see if all was well, we said yes but that we’d ordered chips and salsa that had yet to be brought out. She brought some out but after that nobody came to check on us. Mind you there were only about 4 small party tables and 4 staff that we could see working the floor. I flagged someone down to ask for refills for my kids as they had finished their drinks and most of ours, the waitress seemed bothered by the request. We ordered menudo and pozoles on a Sunday morning. It took them almost an hour to bring out our food. My husband order a pupusa, which was brought out but without the curtido and salsa that go with it. We had to again signal someone to ask for them and received the same rude reaction. It took another several minutes for her to bring them by which time the pupusa was nearly cold. It was just an awkward and unpleasant experience. We used to enjoy eating there. The staff they used to have was so friendly, the owner always made it a point to check in on his patrons, and we were never made to feel like a bother when we asked for a refill or told them about something we were missing. Maybe it’s growing pains if they are under new management/ownership but this experience has left a sour taste. They are super pricey for the quality of food and poor service.
We visited this restaurant for the first time this morning because we love their other location in Hesperia. Upon arrival, we were informed there would be a 45-minute wait for food, which we didn’t mind. However, when I ordered drinks, my drink was brought out promptly, but my wife’s drink did not arrive. After over 30 minutes, we still hadn’t received her drink. We asked if we could cancel the hot chocolate and get water instead, as she was very thirsty. Initially, we were told it would come out soon. Thankfully, another waitress, who was very nice, came to our table and understood the situation. She promptly brought us water and canceled the hot chocolate for us. However, we soon saw her being taken to the back, where she was apparently scolded for simply bringing us water. When she returned, she informed us that she was sent home because of what happened. My wife and I apologized, explaining that there was no bad blood and she just wanted some water. We had already seen other people receive their hot drinks and chips and salsa, while we had been sitting for almost 40 minutes. We deeply apologized to the waitress, who asked for our number so her managers could understand what happened. She was the only one who made us feel comfortable and acknowledged our presence during the entire visit. Everyone else just walked past us without a glance. The food was brought out about an hour after we ordered. Only our original waitress was nice; the others who brought out our food avoided eye contact and gave us attitude. It was honestly the most uncomfortable dining experience I’ve ever had. The tension was palpable, all because we asked for water. As a local business owner myself, I believe in making my customers feel welcome and happy at my place of business. This was as uncomfortable as it gets. Even after we canceled the hot chocolate, it was brought out midway through our meal, about an hour and 20 minutes after we originally ordered. We were still charged for it despite our clear request for just water. The food was great, but that doesn’t make up for the poor customer service. I believe the person who last helped us, displaying a bad attitude, was the manager. Not once did they apologize for making the situation so uncomfortable for us. When I paid for my food I asked her do some cash the rest on the card and she charged me the whole amount on the card and kept cash aa tip. But at this point I wasn't going to say anything because of how awkward everything already was. Before you walk out the door theirs a message saying we know there's various places you could've chose but you choose us and we thank you... You think with something like that, they'd really try to make you feel welcome... Truly not happy.
Pancho's website advertises a special on pupusas on Thursdays. The website states $1.25 each for revueltas. I checked out the website 1st, and then I called to place my order. The manager who took my order told me that the pupusas were not that price that whatever price is on the website must be old and did not honor the price advertised. When I went in to pick up my order I spoke to the owner and explained to him the situation. I told him about the price advertised on his website and seemed surprised so I showed him the info. on my phone. He said that was a very old price and did not seem to care. He said he is not in charge of the website that his wife was, hahaha & WOW. I asked him if he would honor the price that he has listed on the website since it's his website. He said that the correct price is what they advertise at the restaurant. I kind of smiled when I was talking to him and told him I couldn't believe it, and he asked me why couldn't I believe it. I guess I was expecting too much. I really thought he would own up to the mistake and, as a good business owner honor the price as a one-time courtesy. Owner truly very careless. Very disappointing.
TO THE OWNER: We patronize this business quite often, and also the one in Hesperia and let me tell you the contrast between both restaurants is night and day. We have never had good service here, not even close but they are closer to our home and the food is their saving grace. This afternoon we decided to have dinner here and expected to have bad service but today was worthy of leaving a review because of how egregious their neglect and deviation from what "Customer Service" is. As soon as we walked in everyone from the servers to the cashier and the people in the back seemed upset that we were there, but we are used to always dealing with a negative and bland attitude when we visit this place, so we were not surprised. The server who sat us down, her name is "Brittany" had a bad attitude from the get go and waited almost 15 minutes to come and take our order and this didn't happen 'till we asked her if she was the one who was supposed to help us. She didn't offer us Chips and Salsa and only brought it 'till we asked for it and she brought the smallest container she found, which was too small for 3 people, we asked for more and it took anoter 10 minutes to get it, they took forever to bring our drinks and when my wife asked for a spoon she never brought it, we asked the other server and she brought it but also had an attitude, we were never rude but this young lady was already upset from the get go, unfortunately I feel everyone here behaves this way because that's the culture. Maybe it starts with THE OWNER! He obviously doesn't care, there's plenty of complaints about this same issue and he does nothing. So I don't expect this review will change anything. But if you want to be treated well and appreciated don't come here. Their food is good but their service leaves everyone a bad taste in the mouth.
I would not recommend to anyone of color they have no urgency or regard for people of color the female manager has a very nasty attitude the owner acts is if he’s incoherent this place is a joke and they purposely made my food horrible I gotta carne asada burrito with all Gristle meat jus a horrible experience kind of traumatizing 0 out of 10 the worst I’ve had in the whole high desert
Went here for Dinner last night. Waiter couldn’t understand English so when I ordered he brought me a plate of food I didn’t order so I had to talk to a lady that could understand what I wanted. Also the food is way over priced. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito. It was around $7 the condiments on the side was side of sour cream, side of ranchero sauce, side of beans and rice and it cost $14 just for the sides. Then I was charged 3% for using my a credit card and no where in the restaurant does it have that posted. Won’t be coming back. Sad because I been coming here off and on for over 25 years.
