The thing that I love about John Gray's, in addition to the very attentive thoughtful owner Dora is: consistency! I have only had a 5 star meal and experience at John Gray's. I recomend it to all our friends and guests. It is an institution of Puerto Morelos. Pero Amor!!!!
Definitely an amazing place! Great food, attentive service and a very welcoming atmosphere! If you're in the vicinity of Puerto Morales, I highly recommend a stop at John Gray's Kitchen. The pesto chicken was certainly memorable for all the right reasons!
Have been eating here since our first trip to Puerto Morelos in 2003. The food was excellent however half the menu was blacked out. The staff was friendly but we did miss seeing Dora this trip. It was low season so nothing in town is very crowded. While there are new restaurants in Puerto Morelos that can now compete with John Grey’s Kitchen this place will always have special memories and a place in my heart so I totally recommend a meal here when you visit Puerto Morelos! Hope John Grey’s Kitchen is around for many years to come! - Dan
What a great find! We popped in while meandering around the town. Dora, the manager, is a sweetheart. The food was delicious, and all (including the wine choice) was spot on and well paired with the food. Reasonably price too!!! Highly recommended!

This is fine dining at its best! From the ambiance to the service to the food, nothing is short of excellent! We were well taken care of by Felipe! And we got to see the lovely owner Dora during our meal. We’ve eaten here several times now and every time the food has been cooked perfectly and the service stellar! This place never disappoints. Looking forward to our next visit!
We had the chicken special and the pork loin specials. Both dishes were amazing!! Between 3pm-6pm they have a special where you get a half portion meal with a glass of wine or beer for 250 pesos! The portions are more than big enough. Ambiance is very nice and Felipe our waiter was fantastic!!!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve 2023 🥳🎉 at this wonderful restaurant. Service was as impecable, food was delicious and the owner Dora was super sweet and attentive to everyone’s needs. 100% recommend!! We will definitely be returning 💗.
Honestly the best culinary experience in Puerto Morelos! The quality of the meals is out off this world. The best chicken you'll have in your life. The consistency throughout the year is on point. Taste the same now that it did in 2010. Would 100% recommend. Affordable too, 66$ USD for 1 entree and 2 main courses.
Here’s where you want to go for a bit more upscale dining experience but not too bougie. Ideal atmosphere for an intimate date or business dinner, and casual enough for getting together with friends. Quality ingredients, ambiance and service calls for a higher prices but still reasonable for the dining experience. We had 2x Don Julio Reposado, shared calamari appetizer, spicy cauliflower side dish, Fish of the Day special, roasted Chicken with Pesto, and shared the owner’s baked Key Lime pie. Total cost including 10% gratuity came out to 1,831 MXN ($108 USD) We enjoyed our meal, atmosphere, service - overall great experience and will come here again
Amazing food. A good atmosphere. Overall good service. I will be back! We had the duck and salmon for mains. Appetizers were the spicy cauliflower and the garlic bread.
The menu was wonderful- everything we had was so fresh and flavorful. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and how attentive and knowledgeable our server was. We will definitely be back.
Superb food and a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate our anniversary. A very nice bottle of Cava was available as a crowning touch.
What an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. The food rivaled our family holiday dinners… felt like I was home. Plus the staff delivered excellent service. We can’t thank you enough for creating a special holiday meal for those craving a bit of stuffing and turkey. No question, we will definitely return!!
This is exactly what we were looking for tonight! It is a classy place, the outside dining area was elegant and tranquil. The service was awesome and the food..... the food was some of the best I've had anywhere let alone Puerto Morelos!! The pork loin was fabulous, the duck was amazing! We had all the duck(tacos, enchiladas and breast), it was incredible. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to PM.
Everything about this place is 5 stars. Service, food and drinks were perfect. Nothing I would change and we are very very picky. Started with tuna tostada, caesar salad and mushroom risotto. Cocktails were stellar and few places accomplish that. Wife had a lemon drop and I had a mojito and old fashion. Main course was shrimp macaroni and cheese and pork tenderloin. Wrapped it by taking home 2 key lime pieces!!
Probably the best high end food in Puerto Morelos. It is not the traditional mexican or cheap, but it is very high quality. You will leave full and happy.

We had a nice meal at John Gray’s Kitchen. We shared a tuna appetizer followed by a shrimp dish with mashed potatoes and grilled fish. The food was tasty and fresh and the portions generous. The service was nice and attentive.
Very very pricey. My guess is it won't be there in a year or two. The appetizers were ok. The main courses were pretty. Green beans instead of asparagus.. The shrimp was very good. The steak was average. The fish was average. Calamari was a bit chewy but the sauce made it decent. The crab cakes were decent as well. The polenta was a bit bland. Not a big polenta fan anyway. The garlic bread was the winner of the evening in my opinion.
