First time having this place. Mannn it is SO FIRE go get you some for sure. The taste is there the quality is there. You will not regret it. I had to wake up just now and decided to sneak some of my wife’s left over rice it’s pressure for sure! The spring rolls are also super fresh as well best spring rolls I tasted in a min.
We absolutely love Rose Garden! This is hands-down the best thai food in redding. The food is authentic, always fresh, and they give really decent portion sizes. They have two house special dishes that are a must try - Crispy Cashew Chicken and Peter's Special.
Loved the food, pad see ew is one of my favorite foods. We also tried sesame buns and chicken satay, lovely starter foods. Server was very kind and friendly, water stayed refilled during dining. My only warning is they seem to not have AC so either prep to be warm or order out (but we survived an hour just fine) 😁
Everything is amazing! I go to this place every week with my friend. Such a great food!
We’ve had the pho and wonton soup and they have come nice and hot. We have tried the Pad Thai noodles have been wonderfully delicious. The boba drinks a good. Thai tea it’s nice and dense with a hint of coffee. The fried wonton are nice and crispy as well as the egg rolls are nice and crispy and always hot. The customer service it’s amazing and really attentive. Kudos to the cooks and servers. Keep up the great work!!!
Great food 10 out of 10, amazing service and felt very valued & welcoming! Felt like family and I will most definitely be going back to eat there again soon!
The Rose Garden Restaurant is proof that good food, great service, and fair prices can still exist in the wild. We walked in hungry and left wondering why more places do not get it this right. The food was fantastic. Not just good for Redding good, but genuinely, sit up straight and respect the plate good. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and clearly made by people who care. Portions were generous, prices were shockingly reasonable, and nothing felt like it was cutting corners. The customer service deserves its own applause. Friendly without hovering, fast without feeling rushed, and genuinely happy to be there. That alone already puts it ahead of half the restaurants out there. If you are tired of paying premium prices for disappointing meals, The Rose Garden is the antidote. Great food, great people, and a bill that does not ruin your mood. We loved it and will absolutely be back.
The food was great as was the service. Waiter was nice and attentive. I had the Basil Catfish, very good. There was also an option for kids, Kid Pho, my daughter liked it. I also had a milk tea, very tasty. I definitely recommend this place.
First off, this establishment is very unassuming and in a...less than ideal part of town. That being said, they have done the most with what they have. The inside is comfortable enough, clean enough, but it is mundane. The food is literally some if the best Thai food I've had. My girlfriend said the same. I've eaten Thai food all over, from Philadelphia to Boise Idaho. The pad Thai here is just incredible. You crave the next bite. The same can be said for their curry, especially the combination yellow curry. It is immaculate. The pork dumplings are also a MUST, and the Thai Iced tea is SOOO big and only $4!! Prices are very reasonable, but I would expect that to change as they grow. This is a definite hidden gem for Redding. Once people here give them a chance they won't bother going anywhere else for Thai food. I recommend coming here while the prices are good, which just makes the food that is already absolutely outstanding, even better. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They are doing this while actually working hard. We LOVE this place! God bless!!
Excellent noodle soup. Fresh shrimp and lovely chicken broths in different style. House made noodle was great. Mango beef had some heat and very tasty. The large size was huge portion. It was so tasty we finished all.
This is my first experience with ROSE Garden. Service was quick and pleasant. Appetizers came within 5-6 minutes. Time enough to get started, but not get full off it. The main course came a few minutes later. Beautiful presentation was perfect. I'm not big on leftovers when I dine out, so portions were perfect. Staff were very intuitive, meaning they knew what we needed before we asked. The environment was great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
One of the best red curries I've ever had ! Super nice staff, cute restaurant and very affordable prices. And you see that the food is made with love ! Also big portions :)
First experience here, the food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. I ordered the coconut shrimp soup and it was mouth watering. A friend ordered the beef. I would recommend this place to all. The restaurant is small, the service is kind and sweet, there atmosphere is clean and tidy. So if you are looking to eat where it is clean and quiet this is a great place to do so!
Ok let me take my time on this review here !!! So before I usually eat at a restaurant I check out the reviews and in all honesty the reviews had me questionable. However I did not experience none of the negative reviews that were posted about this restaurant the staff was very pleasant the young girls were very sweet and waited on me none stop huuuge plus in my book 👌 I had the chicken curry which was so amazing and the chicken satay which also was the mazing the peanut sauce is so good and the Thai tea oh my goodness so great!! If you really like true Authentic food give this place a try I will come back time and time again !! Also the portions are huge had lots to take home 😊
So glad I found this place, loved the food. Awesome variety and good prices. In addition the service was very good. Looking forward to going back.
Absolutely delicious! Ordered: Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles) with Pork Pad Cashew Nut with Pork Spring Rolls The Pad Cashew Nut was so incredibly juicy and wrapped up lovingly in a foil pouch inside of the container, and despite all of those juices, it didn't leak! I would say it's a must try. Lots of basil and strong flavors in the Pad Kee Mao, which I love. To like drunken noodles you have to be a lover of gelatinous textures. So if that bothers you... don't order it then complain about it. Do some research first. Overall, will order again! This order was from inside and carried out, not delivered FYI.
I wanted to try this place because I haven't had Lao food before and I wanted to try it. I ordered the lao noodles that had a curry broth that was so good. My partner ordered the pad see ew and enjoyed it. Overall I would recommend this place it was very good.

1st time to have lunch there today. Ordered the Pad Thai that was amazing with so much flavor and filling!

I went to Rose Garden for some Thai food and had the pho, it was honestly really yummy and a huge bowl for the price. My server Destiny was super sweet, checked on me just the right amount, and made the whole meal feel easy. The place is chill and the bill was way cheaper than I expected. Definitely going back soon.

Passing by on the way home from Oregon & google some Asian food. Found they’re open . We ordered the appetizer which came with fried wonton, egg rolls ,& angel wings . My friends order the beef larb & drunken noodle dish. They both said their dish was good. My appetizer was decent as well however the angel wings in batter ???? Still decent but never had it batter before . Good service . Would I come back if I’m in town ? Yes to try other dishes there. Would I recommend them ? Sure .
Can't beat the $7 lunch special the variety and quality of their food is exceptional, the service has been hit and miss but considering it is fairly busy at times it's understandable. I know there are several different items I would like to try, but know what I like, and usually just order some Basics like a chicken stir fry.

I ordered Pho and Mango stick rice for to go. When I got back to airbnb, I found out that the coconut sauce and mango were MISSING. However, Pho was absolutely amazing! Clear broth and light yet flavorful soup. Tho, it won’t change my feeling since I was craving for mango sticky rice after the long hike and I’m not sure what to do with the plain sticky rice.
I’m a frequent customer here and love the food. Most of the employees are amazing but there’s one in particular that I’m not very fond of. I don’t recognize him so I’m guessing he’s a bit new. This has been the second time now that I’ve been helped by him and he’s just plain rude. I usually dine in but decided to do takeout for dinner tonight. I politely asked if I can have a drink carrier due to the amount of drinks ordered. He sighed very loudly and just said they were out but the carriers were right in front of him, I was looking straight at them. I don’t usually get bad service here but new or not I think the young man should work on his customer service.
Food was okay, but they somehow forgot a dish, so after waiting about 45 minutes for food my daughter had nothing to eat. Pho was flavorless but curry was pretty good. We all shared so it worked out but overall disappointing. Atmosphere is lacking.
I paid around $27.50 when I signed my receipt, but I was charged $30.60. Update: I used a bank dispute to resolve this issue, so I’ve updated my rating from one star to three stars. The food is good, and I’ll come back again, but next time, I’ll make sure to take a picture of the receipt I sign before leaving.
The chicken wings are pretty good. But there are only six pieces. The rest of the dish are acceptable. They come in huge portion. I feel very full for sure after the meal.

I've had way better thai boat noodles. It just meat ball and thin slice meat. Im generally use to eating thai boat noodles at other restaurants where they have tendons in there so this is the first. Seems a bit sloppy and broth is seems thick/sloshy. Definitely not what Im use to as for Thai boat noodle. Order lao style papaya and the waitress grabbed my order. I didn't notice it before but I started to get a stench of papaya juice. I was already 1hr away from redding. Me not thinkin anythin, I pulled over to the gas station and found out all the papaya juice was flopped over and spilled out the little foil like bowl they had it in. It flashed back to me how the waitress held it as it was flopped over and tilted and I didnt see the spill because the restaurant inside itself is sort of dim and not brightly lit. Also stacked on top of my thai boat noodles order (2nd bag) so I couldn't tell. There was a small tiny hole off to the side the papaya take out bag and that spillage into the bag had leaked onto my seat. Papaya was ok, but the waitress need to watch how she carries the food out next time and know whats in it and not just grab it like a choked puppy before hand it off. I didnt catch it spilling over but definitely wouldve been better if they put papaya salad in a clear plastic bag of some sort to prevent spills like that.
When I was at the restaurant, I saw many asian people eating there. I was expecting it to be good, and the basil catfish was really good..... The tempura was too soggy and pad see mow does not have a lot of noodles, but there are a lot of bamboo shoots to fill in..... Mango sticky rice was really good
We usually come here if we are feeling curry but tonight wasn’t great we asked for no onions in our green curry and no mushrooms in the yellow we were just gonna be like ok they were busy but my curry straight up had burned plastic in it almost swallowed it glad I caught it but not good. Love this place usually but kinda disappointed tonight.
I ordered the combo curry with panang on doordash for a pick up order. The description said it included eggplant, green bean, basil, and bamboo. I received none of that. Instead I got carrots and broccoli? Basically chicken noodle soup… I’m disappointed. The waitress wasn’t very polite either. Hopefully this was a one time thing.

The food was great until I discovered something floating in my water after I already drank most of it. It looked like mold or algae, along with pieces of white objects, idk something disgusting. I’m not the type to complain, so I simply just pointed it out to the female staff who then quickly apologised, grabbed the cup, emptied it out, refilled it with water and ice, and returned it to me. Lawd, the same f’n busted on the lip cup. That did it for me. You would think they would at least get a new cup and resume pretending nothing happened! I lost my appetite so I didn’t touch the rest of the food. Moments later, the roll of paper towel (used in lieu of folded napkins) from the nearby customers fell on the floor. The same staff picked it up and placed it back on the table. No one bothered to remove the layer that touched the floor. I’m not proud to have eaten at this restaurant to say the least. I have little confidence that the food I ingested was properly cleaned and prepared at this point.
Came in, ordered appetizers and entrees to go. Appetizers came in less than 10 minutes. A large crowd 10 or more people showed up as well as two other tables they ordered and got the food and told us it would be another 15 minutes. Finally got the food , went home and ate, it was mediocreat best. We've had lunches and dinners there alot over the last 8 years. Not sure what happened to the service or the quality. Won't be going back any time soon
Not sure which food item gave my husband and I food poisening. Since we both got it (food poisening), it's our belief it was the peanut sauce. We should have walked out before ever ordering. As a result, this place is solely responsible for our resolve to not go to Thai. I can make it myself. What we ordered: Chicken Satay, Thai Salad, Beef Pho, Meatball Pho (sent back right away, after one taste) but waiter refused to take it off). This young man needs additional training. Date: 07-09 To the Owner: Thank you for your kind response. If this would have happened to a child it would be catastrophic!
It was my boyfriend‘s birthday. He never eats anything out of his usual. He’s a chef. I talked him into trying this because I’ve heard such a good things, cashew chicken supposed to be amazing, it was hard and ehhhh. He almost thought there was bones in it, but I picked it apart and realized it just overcooked and badly cooked. Duck appetizers hard as rocks. I feel like I got a whole duck arm just folded up right in front of me. So gross. I’m not even sure what I got but add shrimp in it like five of them. Which is pretty sad for that price. And so many noodles that they were falling out of the box. But they were all smashed into one huge noodle. The flavor was OK. Nothing to write home about. Honestly, I’d rather eat at grand buffet. This was a very, very much a disappointment. I don’t know what it’s supposed to taste like but this wasn’t great. Also, the boxes had at least a 3 inch hole in it. So I just steamed out all of the moisture inside of the tide shut bag. Wouldn’t take much to just grab another box I would think.
Chicken Laab salad.? They wanted me to pay $1 for some Lettuce. I had purchased $25 in appetizers.
Pad kee mao was flavorless except for a strong gas flavor. I get wok hei but this had no flavor except for that charcoal taste. I’ve had this dish many times, even used to cook it at a Thai place, super disappointed. If you’re gonna have this dish just go to Champa garden. Pad Thai was good, pkm was un-edible👎
I ordered 1 chicken noodles, 1 seafood noodles, tumsom and 1 larb. Chicken noodles and the seafood noodles are so plain. I don't know why they put lemon juice in the bitter larb. It's taste so nasty. The tumsom are ok. I used to love this place a few years ago and the larbs and noodles taste very good but now maybe they have a new chef or something. My wife, son, and myself didn't finish the food. We felt $65 was wasted. They also don't provide wifi anymore here. We asked for wifi and they wrote the password but no network to login. My son just need wifi for his tablet during the lunch. A restaurant can't even provide a wifi, it too cheap of restaurant. If you hungry and just want something to eat, it's convenient. If you want something taste good and worth eating out, this is not the place.
