We had 23 people for my husbands birthday. We called early in the day to give them time to set up for us and they didn't disappoint. The food and service was wonderful and the view of the Harbor as always was beautiful.
My fiancé and I came to Charlotte Plummer’s for a birthday and much needed date night after a day at the beach, and it was the perfect way to end the day. The food was fresh, flavorful, and really well-priced—great quality without breaking the bank. We loved the fish tacos, soft shell crab po’boy, crispy fries, and all the sauces. The cheesecake was delicious, and the bread pudding (which they generously gave us an extra to take home) was incredible. We are so grateful for a such a wonderful experience! The staff was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was laid-back and inviting. Definitely our new favorite spot!
This was my first time visiting. I ordered fried fish which came with fries or baked potato and soup or shrimp gumbo. I chose the baked potato and tortilla soup. My partner ordered the stuffed flounder fillet with steamed vegetables, baked potato and shrimp gumbo. We also shared a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. Everything was fresh and delicious. The server was helpful with her recommendations. Due to recent foot surgery I wasn't able to enjoy the 2nd floor outdoor deck, but for sure next time.
Good, friendly service even though we were there late in the evening. Food was very good. Portions and prices were about on par where you'd expect them these days. Tried this place on a whim but we'll be back because there are several other things on the menu we want to try! Only complaint would be that on the grilled seafood platter, it was supposed to include scallops, which it technically did, but there was only one.
I had the shrimp brochette with a side of butter for dipping, rice and vegetables. It also came with a side of soup or gumbo. It was delicious! My husband got a bowl of gumbo and it was huge! He said it was really delicious. We sat at a table with a view of the water. The service was excellent!
Great place to eat. Very friendly staff. Fairly quick service for being busy. Great food. Very good atmosphere and lots of unique things to look at as well as a tremendously beautiful view of the water. I would recommend the broiled flounder it was amazing, beautifully seasoned and cooked, the shrimp gumbo was very well seasoned and not overly spicy. I did try some of my wife’s fried flounder and it was delicious as well. The linguine and vegetables were cooked very well and tasty.

Service was excellent. I ordered fried fish and the flavor was delicious. On about the 5th bite, the fish was cold. Atmosphere was good. Though after a long hard day at work, was subjected to a family with 2 young toddlers, who cried screamed and was running around everywhere. They wete seated at a table riht next to our table. Which made it hard to relax and enjoy dinner. Which is not the restaurant fault.
The food selection has a variety of seafood and the views from upstairs look out over the water. We went with the calamari as an appetizer and it was crispy and hot on arrival. It was a nice place to stop and eat for a weekend lunch.
A long time tradition in Fulton. There is a nice salad bar, soups are pretty good and most of the appetizers are good. I usually go at lunch for salad bar and an appetizer. As the reviews reflect the seafood dishes are more hit and miss than 'back in the days'. Other offerings such as the club sandwich (pictured) are a reasonably priced option and tasty. There is a nice view of the harbor and service is usually attentive.
We had an amazing meal tonight (Sunday). Only complaint was it wasn't very hot but tasted so delicious!
food was great !! I had the grilled flounder plus we had coconut shrimp. They said us out at table 9, which has a bad seating area. Enjoy the meal.

The atmosphere and decor were great. A little warm (we sat inside) This was our first visit to this restaurant. The food was over-cooked. Coconut shrimp was rubbery and baked potato was very dry. all over-cooked. Disappointing. Loved the location of the restaurant just wish food had been better. I’m hoping with all these other reviews they will fix this problem so we can go back.

shrimp gumbo was the best part of the meal. Understaffed and service was slow. The rest of our meal was mediocre. Nothing spectacular. I'd go back for the gumbo, but that's all.
We ordered a seafood platter our shrimp was good but our grilled fish was not it wasn't seasoned and tasted bland at best the salad bar was very good and our waitress was very helpful !

After a long hard interview, it was easy to walk across the street to Charlotte Plummers. Note to self, never take the easy choice. First, the restaurant was nearly empty at 7 pm on a Thursday. Service wise there should've been no issues, but we hardly saw the wait staff. I needed something meaty without it being seafood. I inquired about the catfish and the waitress said do not order the catfish because the breading comes off and it is tasteless. I opted for a cheeseburger with fries. Meh. The fries came out cold. The burger itself had a good flavor, but it was not piping hot like it just came off the grill. They could not do a whiskey sour, even. While we had a bay side table, when the food doesn't complement the view, you walk away disheartened. It is truly sad since Charlotte Plummers has been in business for years. The food disappointed, along with the service. Thus, the lack of a food photo and a departing morning photo of the restaurant.
First, the best. The service was excellent. There was a pretty decent salad bar. I miss salad bars. I didn't do the salad bar but it looked good. Ordered the Oyster stew. Extremely bland, I salted the bejesus out of it. It was also was luke warm. I ordered the flounder. I had wanted the stuffed flounder but I guess I didn't convey that. My bad. The flounder was bland and luke warm. The baked potato was luke warm and the butter didn't melt. The vegetables were luke warm and bland. My wife had tomato basil, it was luke warm. And the linguine Vera Cruz was mostly red onions, which is a trick cheap restaurants do to give a dish volume. Also, the pasta was greasy (and luke warm). It seems that: A. They don't have heat lamps B. They don't have seasonings. Also, What is That Smell!? It smells like sewage outside the restaurant and you can smell it inside as well.
Most of my life everyone raved about Charlotte Plummer’s as THE seafood destination on the Tx Gulfcoast. Meh. Food was obviously pre prepared , kept under heating lamps, “the plate is hot” like in Mexican food restaurant . On par with say, Sea Island chain in San Antonio. $90 for 2 not even close to price/value. Our server was very nice and attentive, the only positive.
Disappointed in the oysters, served on a silver tray, not on half shell. Do not order grilled fish tacos. Muddy looking dark flesh fish of some kind, no seasoning and dry and leather like on the outside. It had both lettuce and cabbage slaw. Pick one, it didn't make sense. The mango salsa was the only thing good about it. I expected more from a so called seafood restaurant right on the water
I wanted to really like this spot. Was looking forward to fresh seafood and iced tea. Starting with the water. We are not locals. The water had a weird taste, which made the tea taste horrible. We ordered shrimp brochette, which had no jalapeno and no cheese, only bacon wrapped. The scholton shrimp looked delicious on paper, but something in the stuffing tasted pickled and threw the flavors out of balance. My wife had the fried shrimp. She did not finish them. I tried to, as I love shrimp, but they had no seasoning! We left half her order on the plate. The gumbo tasted as if it was made with tomato soup rather than a traditional roux. I ordered the stuffed flounder. It was a disappointing way to spend $32. The same stuffing was used to stuff the flounder. Again, it seemed like pickles were used.
Not as good as in the past. Got the very pricy filet that was cooked to temperature (as in medium rare) but came out cold. The baked potato was also cold. The waitress took it back to have it rewarmed and took forever to get back. She never asked if we wanted additional drinks and only brought out waters for 5 when all 6 of us ordered water. The steak was bland and the stuffed flounder was hard to tell that there was a lemon dill sauce on it. There wasn’t enough cheese for the baked potatoes that were ordered and we asked for more but the waitress said she was ‘too busy’. Overall, I don’t think we’ll be coming back based upon the decline in service and the quality of the food.
food WAS HORRIBLE 2 hour wait for a appetizer and food food was greasy as straight up oil and a bone almost cracked my teeth and food was cold

Don’t do it! Overpriced- below par food. We sent our food back- paid for our salad bar and hit the road. Sad because the restaurant is cute and right on the water. Disappointed to say the least.

Waited 15 minutes to even be acknowledged, no water was served while waiting another 20 minutes for 2 beers and 2 teas! We ordered fried flounder with 2 baked potatoes. The fish was raw inside and the potatoes were hard like a rock. When we told our server about the meal, we were told that because they were busy ,if we wanted the same meal cooked properly we would be waiting behind the other people that arrived, because they were busy!! Bottom line, if you like bad service and even worse food this is your restaurant.
We were in town and looking forward to having seafood, very disappointed that we did not choose one of the other seafood restaurants in the area. We started off with THE most dreadful hostess who needs to work in a cubicle far away from the service industry. Savannah the server was very pleasant and the view was great, those are the only positives. The tables are very close together, it almost feels as your eating with the ppl seated next to you. Food was overpriced, husband got French fries with his oyster plate, I had ruffle chips with my poor boy, wasnt given an option and the majority of the plate was covered in chips. The shrimp gumbo was undesirable, we both took a couple bites and didnt finish it. There is a gumbo base kit from HEB that is outstanding. I would have rather stayed home and cooked for ourselves as opposed to spending $50 for lunch. The floors hadn't been swept, trash everywhere we looked. Restrooms smelled and hadn't been cleaned. The restaurant was not busy, they have time to clean (unless they were short staffed). I would not be surprised to hear if this place closes down. Mgmt needs to step up and make many, many changes. What a disappointment! Needless to say, wont be back and will encourage friends/fam to go elsewhere.
Headline: very slow service, mediocre food, scary oysters. I really wish I'd read the reviews before coming here. After a 45 minute wait (totally acceptable on a holiday weekend), it took over an hour to get our food, which all came out at once. The raw oysters (which we normally love) were room temperature over plates of cool water that may have been ice at some point. The server was nice enough but not efficient. The manager was pretty dismissive but did take the oysters off the bill. We just won't be coming back.
