This place is great!! I'm in Santa Monica fridays so it's my fridays lunch stop for sure!! I usually get the panchos burrito de carnitas. It has everything guac, sour cream and it's a wet burrito ..the carnitas are delicious. I'm a pig so i eat it all. I go into a food coma afterwards and have to take a nap but I love it. Even the salsa is good . Prices are reasonable considering everything is expensive these days. Staff is great , parking is tight sometimes but I manage to always get parking.

Been going here since probably 1985 when they were on Ocean Parkway Ste is there two or three times a week they've moved but thankfully the food is just as good really cheap and huge portions are burritos are just amazing and the owner is such a sweet man

Wet burrito was delicious. I went in before closing and just wanted to get a quick bite. But to my surprise they asked if I wanted to eat in and the kitchen was open to what ever I chose. Asked for a wet burrito and ate peacefully even thought they were technically closed at that point. Would definitely come again.

I'm a big fan of this place for a variety of reasons. In no particular order: good location. good parking, you can watch your car or bike while you eat. Its usually pretty quiet in there which is a nice change of pace in a noisey city. Big menu, lots of choices. The burritos are great. Not just regular, zero effort burritos. Texture and taste. Its pretty cheap. And finally they are open on thanks giving, which is awesome.

My first time here at Panchos and craving for breakfast burrito and guess who's behind the counter? Pancho himself! He narrated how long his restaurants have been around and how much joy it brings him to know how much people love his food. The burrito was Huge and 😋 yummy! Now I have another frequent place to ho for breakfast.

The location has changed over the years but the food has not. Tastes the same as it did 30+ years ago. Plus the young man that took my order is the son of the cook from the Ocean Park location. Prices are still decent too. Fond memories abound when I eat here.

A true Santa Monica Staple. Been going here (along with all my friends) since I was in grammar school back in 1979. The food is great and the price cannot be beat. Where everything is overpriced in this day and age in SM proper, this place delivers a good meal and at VERY reasonable prices. Also, other comparable restaurants do not let you have as much salsa as you want if you take it to go (Like Campos on Pico who charges you for any salsa beyond giving you ONE small cup PER full entree *rolls eyes) so if you are a salsa lover like myself and taking it "to go", then Panchos is the place for you. My faves include: Menudo w/corn tortillas ,Hard shell beef taco, Cheese Enchilada, Avocado burrito, Gourmet Burrito, Panchos Nachos, Chile Relleno.

Consistently solid tacos for a pretty reasonable price. A regular go to for us across the board - tacos, sopes, enchiladas... And the salsa/condiments bar is generally well stocked too.

I've been here at least a dozen times. Their breakfast plates are delicious. I love their California burrito and their horchata is just right. This is my go-to spot for Mexican food. I've yet to try their menudo and that is on my list.

The food is great and good prices for the area. It's a go to for old school authentic mexican and has a lot of options. The location could use an update or renovation, but it's still a great spot and that's likely what keeps prices reasonable!

Decided to swing by here on our way through Santa Monica. The guy at the counter was rather friendly. The tacos were okay; the shell was incredibly brittle and the meat wad unexpectedly dry, but the enchiladas were delicious. It feels like it's run by someone who knows how food works.

Chile Relleno? More like Tamale Relleno. 😜 The batter on the rellenos was some type of corn meal like coating. Didn’t taste any egg it had the slight flavor of a float tortilla and very little cheese. I ended up peeling off the batter off my two. The guacamole salad however was good. Would have liked more guacamole. Only reason I came was I was called back to my former employee for a day and I was hungry and this place I never got a chance to try out.

The good wasn't bad. But the place itself needs a remodeling. The way that it looks give the place a sloppy and dirty atmosphere. This place has the potential of being an awesome Mexican restaurant. Its in a nice location, the staff it's not rude and the food it's not bad. It just needs a better look and more cheerful staff.

I stopped by to get a burrito the cashier had on a Bluetooth earpiece and was having a phone conversation and never greeted me as I stood and looked at the menu. I I got the avocado chicken burrito it was served with stale chips and no salsa. Pancho's survived the pandemic but I'm not sure if they should go forward with this type of service.

The enchilada was good everything else was terrible, my tacos were literally just meat, I paid extra for multiple things in my burrito and did not receive them. And the bag had sauce all over everything.

First time to this location and I felt unwelcome. The cashier was in such a rush to talk to some girl outside, he had an attitude about me altering my order from one burrito to two burritos, and banged his hand against the table when I asked for sour cream. Never coming back here.

It's not hard to understand the "B" rating from the health department. If the guy behind the counter would stop texting while people wait in line he might notice the floors haven't been mopped in a month. Honestly, the food would probably be considered great Mexican food in the middle of Nebraska. This is LA, and it just doesn't cut it. After eating it became fairly clear why most of the food on the menu is served "wet" style drenched in sauce. It's a poor attempt to cover sub par food. I wouldn't dare try the salsa. It looks like it's been sitting there in the bar all day, in the dirty tubs with nothing keeping it food safe. Maybe if the building at least had air conditioning I would feel a little safer trying the salsa. From the looks of it I didn't miss out on much. Disappointing at best. My group and I actually felt sad after eating here.

Got a burrito, wasn't great. The cheese inside wasn't melted and even if it was the overall taste wasn't good. Also, I ate there in April but the charge didn't show up on my statement until September. Not sure if that's shady or not, but was reminded of the sup-par food while calling my bank to make sure I didn't get ripped off. There's so many other legit places, I'd pass on this one.

There are some places that are a staple in a community, places that serve their customers with pride for decades and deliver a quality experience that lasts - bringing you back not only for the food but the nostalgia and comfort the restaurant brings to you. Oftentimes these gems struggle to maintain a customer base despite their quality when neighborhoods change, prices go up, and inevitably that old sense of community is pushed out and forcibly replaced by something hostile to the things that made the neighborhood great in the first places. This is NOT one of those places. This restaurant is a sub par. This restaurant doesn’t deserve to stand against the tide of change, it deserves to be washed away and forgotten. I’ve gone here a half dozen times this year, and the service each time was cold and made me uncomfortable. Despite this, I wanted to support a business that has survived through many changes and closures and see if it was worth keeping around and spending my money at. I’ve learned the hard way that it isn’t. At first I thought the staff was just plain racist - and I’m not discounting that possibility, but it seems lots of people have also experienced the cold, disinterested, and unwelcoming service that me and my family had the misfortune of experiencing. The guy working the register just has no passion for what is supposed to be a family business he should take pride in trying to keep open and didn’t offer me an ounce of courteous treatment in my many stops. Him and this business don’t deserve your money. The food itself is mediocre to bad, and at a pricepoint that you can find in much nicer establishments all over the area with far friendlier staff and far tastier meals. The last time I ate here, it left my stomach feeling as let down as my spirit for having gone here - by that I mean it literally made me sick. Thinking of the many restaurants on Lincoln that deserved to stay open but closed in the past 20 odd years, I can’t feel anything but contempt for this place and look forward to the inevitable day it goes out of business. On that day, I’ll say good riddance.

literally terrible. the guy who took my order was rude. I order a burrito and a tamale. burrito w cheese and a plain chicken tamale and when it came out the tamale was covered in mole which i’d don’t order nor does it say that it’s served like that on the menu and when I said that to the guy at the counter he got mad at me and said “ do you want your money back?” and before I could say anything he storms away and gets me a new tamale that wasn’t covered in mole but still tasted gross.

Ordered an asada burrito and it's all beans and two pieces of meat. For that price I felt ripped off. Won't come back

Diseased place and had the worst ceviche in the world. It was disgusting and I didn’t want to get sick so I took it back and nothing in the menu was good it was horrible. My shrimp wasn’t deveined. I used to go to this place all the time a few years ago and the food was pretty good. I ordered now some tacos and they were so bad, the 3 meats that I tried tasted the same and for some reason they were all so spicy and gave everything the same flavor. When I sat down to eat I realized fox news is on and I had to listen to Marco Rubio talk about how bombing Venezuela is actually good and how now we have to worry about communists invading our country. Listen, I don't care what your politics are if I'm just eating at your restaurant but if you're forcing me to listen to that while I eat mediocre food, it's gonna be a one star experience.

I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs. I got them to go so I left when I was handed the order. When I got to my destination, 3 blocks away, I opened the plate and there were no eggs. I returned and I asked the reason for the eggs being left out. They lied and told me that the eggs were scrambled in with the tortilla pieces. They were not. I kept asking where the eggs where and they finally asked me for the plate and added them. I am not blaming the person taking g the order. I am blaming the cook. The food was bland with very little flavor . If you go there please make sure you get what you ordered.

So I use to love coming here but I stopped for a while because they always forgot to give me something I wouldn’t go back I would be to embarrassed. My brother wanted burrito and I missed going there I decided to go two weeks go on a Sunday morning got my food came home they gave my brother a pork burrito so I had to drive back annoyed but I was very polite to the cashier. He messed up the order and tried to blame the cook and the cook was straight forward and said it was the cashier hey had the paper in hand . I gave them back there burrito and they gave me a new one the one I wanted . So I decided to wait a week and come back this Sunday the same cashier in my mind it can happen a again I won’t lie I didn’t give a tip this time because I was so dissatisfied with what happened two weeks ago . Order menudo 2 burritos got home my burrito was wrong it was a carnitas I was going to eat it but I’m not much of a fan of carnitas but now it’s the principal of the matter. I got there I said this to him I walked in and said to the cashier hey this happend two times I gave you the burrito back last time this time I’m not It’s very inconvenience, and I want to eat with my family. The cook came different guy really really polite and said no keep that one and I said thank you and he made me a new one and I had to get the Condiments for the mundo since he didn’t put not one thing in there like lemon cilantro or onion thank God my hubby called me while I was driving over there remind you this is a to go order . It real left a nasty taste in my mouth. Man I won’t be going on Sunday if it’s the guy again I don’t know if he mess up just to do it because it’s not the cooks sad part he repeats the order back so how hard is it …. FYI I worked in the restaurant industry not hard it was right in front of him .ill take a time out … fyi I didn’t eat my food
