I have not been to this restaurant in years. I decided to try it tonight for my birthday. They did not disappoint. The food, large portions, service, atmosphere were excellent. I will definitely be back.

We celebrated my Dads birthday here last evening and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was attentive, kind & patient. All staff were very friendly. The food was amazing! We tried chicken parm and tortellini Alfredo with broccoli. I absolutely loved the tortellini- you can tell it was homemade- delicious. They bring out fresh garlic bread and we loved the salad for the table topped with a variety of great ingredients. Thank you, we will be back!

We booked our reservation online, which makes it quicker to get in and get seated. I was very impressed with the family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone was so nice. The food is 10 out of 10. The bread was fresh, and the salad was fresh. The food was delicious. I can't wait to go back

Food was excellent!! Got together with a group of friends. Sadly we haven’t been to Ferraris in a few years and we have been missing out!! Waiter Nathan was incredible! So patient as we kept talking and took a bit to order. Food was hot and ready quickly. Get the homemade pasta every time! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Old School Italian food just the way it should be. Nathan was absolutely excellent. Food was terrific and large portions allowed a lot to take home. This place is a true gem. Nothing fancy. Just great food, service, and a fun atmosphere. Loved it. Will return again and again.

One of the last old-style, family Italian restaurants that used to be ubiquitous around Schenectady. The decor and atmosphere are so different that the corporate chain places. Food was excellent, the servers helpful, and portions enough to take some home.

Quality family Italian spot. The seafood lasagna special was incredible. The veal Francaise is done better than anywhere I've ever had. It's perfectly crispy and buttery. The creme puff dessert is incredible. The homemade chips are so good it's something you'd never expect. I haven't tried enough of the menu because I've always liked what I got. It's what restaurants strive for. Phenomenal

We’ve been going to Ferrari’s for over 9 years. Always impressed with the food, especially the chicken Antonio, calamari and delectable cream puffs. We went on Christmas Eve and the place was packed. I was so impressed at the service and only a few staff running these operations with a smile no matter what( a little chaos at our table with young ones, dropped forks, napkins, a spill) family friendly environment and Ellen has been our server year after year. Only improvement is I would love to see the pasta Fagiole offered in a cup size.

Excellent food. Is way better than places like Olive garden or cheesecake factory? Bathroom is super clean. Healing negative thing is a harsh smell of cats in the whole place. That still did not stop us from enjoying wonderful food.

Had a very nice Italian dinner for Christmas Eve excellent food and atmosphere staff was awesome and yes I had left overs

An absolute staple of Italian food for Schenectady. This time I got take out for 11 people. They have a crazy good deal where if you order 5 or more meals it’s $10 a person before tax and tip. The chicken parm traveled great and there was more pasta and salad than we could all eat. Cannot speak highly enough about Ferrari’s

J
Joe Pompei

In my rush to give five stars I left out some important details. The entire family makes you feel like you're coming back to your family home for a beautiful meal. You feel as if you haven't left, whether it's two days or two years. Anthony remembers. RIP Joseph Anthony Pompei - Ferrari's is his favorite restaurant of all time.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night with another couple for restaurant week. A wonderful experience. We are eating leftovers tonight and still have tomorrow’s lunch! We were made very welcome. The entire waitstaff as well as the very pleasant main waitress were friendly warm and upbeat! We will definitely be coming back!

J

My bf took me here for the first time this past Valentine's and it was wonderful. Many servers aren't too nice when you eat out on holidays, but right from walking in the door until we walked out, we felt very welcomed. Food was amazing, our server was wonderful & I now understand why it's so busy all the time. Everything from the decor/atmosphere to the food & the service was wonderful & welcoming, comforting & kind. Can't WAIT to go back!

This is a well-established family run business that managed, so far, to make it through the craziness of 2020. We decided to try out a different Italian restaurant in Schenectady instead of one we frequent quite often. This was fabulous. The 4 of us had delicious home cooked meals, a limited wine selection, specials were offered, friendly waitstaff and no rush on getting us in and out. We had a very nice leisurely dinner for my birthday celebration. To top it all off, the restaurant treated me to a duo sliced cake selection of carrot and chocolate. Yummy! We will definitely be back at a later date to try other items on the menu.

Great food. Classic old school Italian restaurant. The bread was delicious. The house Italian dressing on the salad was wonderful. I had the chicken francese and if you like garlic, it was loaded with pieces of finely chopped garlic. Such a treat.

The best Italian food I have ever had. A family run restaurant since 1912. The portions were huge, incredibly fresh and just a perfect evening with my girl! The wait staff was very attentive but not so much it felt like they were bothering us. The perfect amount of attention!

Outstanding in every way!!!!! The food was amazing and the presentation was spot on. The service was spot on with an amazing wait staff. Glass was always full and the staff was very attentive. The atmosphere was so intimate and it just gives you the feel of being somewhere other than where it is. Really enjoyed everything about the place. This is for sure my Italian go to spot.

Great Place to bring your family or a nice Date night Resturant. Delicious AUTHENTIC Italian food. Everything was cooked to order with fresh ingredients. I order the Veal Parmigarno and the Veal Parmigarno topped with eggplant. It was absolutely delicious the Veal was cooked perfectly and the sauce was the best I've ever had. For the appetizer we had Roasted Peppers and Provolone cheese. Both paired together with a glass a red wine was perfect. The ambiance of the restaurant made me feel warm as if I were at mothers home. But the front of the Resturant seemed like we walked in to scene from goodfellas lol. Overall great experience and a must go in the capital region.

4 of us attended on a Wednesday night during restaurant week. They were busy but seemed to be keeping everyone happy. They brought out homemade bread and a family style anti pasta-like salad. That was so good and appreciated. My son had the restaurant week special, which included a deep fried rice ball with a meatball in the middle. Served with a red sauce, it was tasty. Entrees were all good. Great service. They brought out desserts at the end and sang happy birthday to my son. Just a nice dinner in a very well established Italian family restaurant.

We don't want to tell too many people about this place so we always have room when we go, but it's difficult to put in words the ALL around greatness of this place. Great dining, atmosphere, service, food is authentic and DELICIOUS, and... the BEST coffee in the upstate, who would have thought ! Parking is a little confusing, but plenty of spaces to accommodate many people.

This restaurant is authentic. Come immediately. Enjoy the vintage Italian atmosphere. Embrace the loyal staff. Savor the abundance of wholesome, hearty, and beautiful Italian American dishes. Celebrate Little Anthony and his passion for carrying on the tradition of food and family. All I can say - if you do not like it here - then honestly, you don't like yourself. We cannot save you if that is the case. Cheers to Ferrari's and everything you bring to this world!

We aren't from the area so we looked on google. Let me tell you, the food was delicious hot and fresh and the service was great! They are like a well oiled machine. The bread was awesome too! We came home with a enough leftovers for a whole meal.

Delicious Italian food that is well prepared and presented. The service is incredibly efficient and the food was out super fast. Both meals were delicious. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi with linguine. We thought it would be the shrimp and sauce over the linguine but the linguine was separate with a red sauce on it. She asked for plain linguine and they brought her plain spaghetti. We ordered a canoli for dessert but the filling was a cherry cream. It was good but not what we expected. So I guess it pays to ask questions. The manicotti and meatballs were excellent.

I live near Pittsburgh, but grew up in Schenectady. While visiting, about a week ago, my relatives who are still living in and around Schenectady met for a large family dinner at Ferrari's. We were a group of 18. The service was great, and the food was also very good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for really good authentic Italian cuisine.

Italian home fries are out of this world. I am SO picky with chicken as quality seems to be lacking at no fault of restaurants - usually just supply issue but I’ve NEVER had a bad experience with any dish at Ferraris 🙌🏼 It’s a toss up between the chicken parm vs garlic chicken for me. Both so good. And the staff is always a family vibe, they’re all amazing!

Exceptional experience during our Christmas Eve dinner on December 24, 2025. The meal exemplified traditional Italian cuisine at its finest, featuring authentic dishes prepared with care and presented in generous portions, perfectly suited to the festive occasion. What truly distinguished the evening was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine affection, including heartfelt hugs, and made to feel entirely at home. The atmosphere fostered a sense of belonging, as if dining among close relatives rather than in a restaurant. Ferrari's has long been a cherished institution, and this visit reinforced its reputation for outstanding service and welcoming environment. It is regrettable that anyone might pass without having the opportunity to enjoy a meal here among such dedicated and gracious individuals. If you have the opportunity do take it and appreciate this gem! Cheers!

I try to come a few times out of the year for special occasions. The food is 10 out of 10. The Customer Service is amazing. The atmosphere itself just gives off cool vibes. If this is your first time going, please order the chicken francese you will not regret it. The prices are very fair and the drinks are very good.

The food was amazing and the service was even better. This is a gem of a place serving traditional Italian- it won’t disappoint. The server was the best we’ve had in recent memory and, he created an experience that I won’t forget. From his family history to history of the town to recommendations of where to go next, this was an experience that stands above the rest. The veal was excellent and my personal favorite, lasagna, was homemade and came highly recommended. It’s been around 50 years for a reason. Go check it out.

It’s been many years since our last meal at Ferrari’s. Somethings remain the same; on street parking is hit or miss – this time the parking deity shined upon us with a spot near their front door – with the one person entrance step into their small yet comfortable bar. The bar is the dining room entrance. Ferrari’s dining room was nicely updated and well lighted. All their tables filled quickly. Our ample broccoli rabe appetizer had the perfect balance of olive oil and garlic that was cooked to tender perfection. A bottle of il Principe Nebbiolo was the ideal wine for our entire meal. It was smooth and flavorful, quite frankly it slid down way too fast. A sizable eggplant parmigiano, with an equally huge spaghetti side, was tender, flavorful and perfectly breaded and prepared. My linguini with clam sauce took a while to decipher on their menu. The preferred white clam sauce was one of several offered. When presented it was spot on. A mound of al dente, linguini with tender, sliced garlic and a dozen clams in their shells. The clams were sumptuous, quickly shelled and mixed into the linguini. A tartufo, presented with a sizable soup spoon, was cracked and enjoyed by all. Our leftovers, substantial, were enjoyed the next few nights. It was comforting to know that Ferrari’s maintained its high standards and service.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Ferrari's Ristorante Our visit to Ferrari's Ristorante in Schenectady was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host and promptly shown to a cozy table. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server took the time to let us peruse the menu without any rush and helped make our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. For appetizers, we started with the Fried Calamari, which was paired perfectly with an authentic marinara sauce. We also tried the Shrimp Vesuvio, and it was absolutely phenomenal—bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. For our entrées, my wife and I both chose the Chicken Melenzano, a delightful dish combining chicken parmigiana, eggplant, and a rich red sauce. Adding homemade fettuccine with even more of their incredible red sauce elevated the meal to the next level. The entrées also came with a crisp, fresh salad topped with an authentic Italian dressing that tied it all together. A bottle of Tuscan wine rounded out the meal beautifully, pairing perfectly with the red sauce, chicken, and eggplant. Dessert was another highlight of the evening. We ordered the Tiramisu, my wife's favorite, and it was hands down the best we've ever had. The recipe was incredibly authentic, and Ferrari's attention to detail truly shone through. While chatting with some friendly locals, we were enthusiastically told to return and try the cream puffs, which we can't wait to do on our next visit! Overall, this dining experience exceeded every expectation we had. From the warm service to the outstanding food, Ferrari's Ristorante is a gem worth the drive—even though we live an hour away. We’ll absolutely be returning for another memorable meal! P.S. Don't forget to try an true Italian Coffee on your next visit!

Vacationing in Schenectady, NY and chose to go to Ferrari’s Italian Ristorante after reading the reviews. Made a reservation to make it convenient for us. Street parking only, we walked in and you enter into the bar area. Hostess table at entrance to dining area. Nice gentlemen took us to our table in the main dining room, table clothes and napkins, I appreciate that. Very nice young woman approached us and took our beverage order and brought us a basket of bread and butter. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer and it was brought to us with marinara sauce, the portion was very generous and it was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious with the dipping sauce, yum! Our salads came next , the Italian dressing was very tasty and the lettuce and veggies were chilled and fresh. Our dinners arrived in a timely fashion piping hot from the kitchen. I ordered Chicken Franchise, again, a generous portion of chicken cooked perfectly tender with a lemon butter sauce and a side of spaghetti with a very tasty tomato sauce, it was a delicious dinner. Husband ordered Veal Melanzano, Parmesan style with eggplant and mozzarella cheese and sauce, it was a huge portion plus the spaghetti, hub loved it!! Our waitress took great care of us, she boxed our leftovers for us in microwaveable containers, plus the leftover bread and butter. They have a large dessert selection but we were too stuffed. Prices were very reasonable considering what they gave you. Old fashioned Italian restaurant in an old neighborhood, very well maintained, we truly enjoyed our dining experience, come give Ferrari’s a try, highly recommend!! Debbie, Mich

My Mom, who is visiting from TN, and I went for an early dinner. We ordered a cold antipasti to split and it was yummy! I ordered the Chicken Marsala with linguine. Flavor was spot on but the Marsala sauce had a strange color and I think the mushrooms were from a can. Again, the flavor was very good and the chicken fell apart. The red sauce was good gravy. My Mom ordered the Shrimp Scampi over linguine. She said it was delicious!! We ordered a take out Veal Parmigiana for BF with a side of capellini. BF said the red sauce was delicious tonight. Bread basket was addictive and service was great!! The place was packed by the time we left. We didn’t have dessert. We left with enough leftovers for several meals. Great time with my Mom!

I had these on different days because my niece loves coming here and we try different dishes. As you can see from the pictures, they have really large servings, enough for two to three people in one order! Prices are reasonable and the service is great. I recommend everyone to try their chicken or veal parm

Wonderful staff very friendly. Good foud with generous portions. Best salad ever. Table seating felt a bit crowded and more so when restaurant got busy. But it is an authentic older restaurant staffed by pleasant people who know how to feed people right.

A week go I joined a friend for lunch at Ferrari's we ordered Chicken parm dinner and ordered and open-faced chicken parm for lunch, not sure what has happened because when we got the chicken parm it was so flattened the chicken that is was almost as thin as a piece of paper and very tough It was not enjoyable. 3 weeks previous we were in, order the same meal and it was out of this world and the chicken was nice and plump and juicy not sure what happened to this meal a week ago. But it was lunch and And I did not want to Make a fuss I will stop in again and reorder to see if it's any different.

Take a decent appetite with you to Ferrari's, because you're going to receive a lot of food. It's an old, established restaurant in an old neighborhood with on-street parking. The lack of fancy decor should not deter you from going, because you will have a delicious Italian meal at reasonable prices! I got the in-house made manicotti and my husband had the braciole. Both dinners came with a side salad and basket of bread. Dinner for 2 (with one glass of Chianti) was less than $50. Schenectady is known for it's red sauce restaurants. Ferrari's sauce does what a sauce should do, it complements the dish, it doesn't overpower it with either too much sweetness or acidity.

M
Martin Dybas

Popular place but bad can always happen. Table for 8, took 70 minutes for food and still came out piecemeal. Chicken parm was very tough. Will still go again as it's good more than it isn't. Had to go to bar for drinks as server was too busy as well.

Been here many times in the past ten years. The salad that comes out with the bread is one of the best I've ever had. A nice mix of lettuce, tomatoes, onion, etc. but they add roasted red peppers, little chucks of provolone and pieces of celery that really make this a stand out salad. The bread basket includes the standard Italian bread ( though never warmed) and another bread with olive oil and seasoning to it. Both are great. I usually get the veal parm and it is good but I've also tried the ravioli and the stuffed shells which are also very good. The linguine with their house red sauce is really good as well. A solid local Italian place good for lunch and/or dinner. Give them a try and see what you think.

My wife had an amazing meal here a couple of months ago and has been wanting to bring me since. Schenectady has no shortage of amazing Italian restaurants so the bar was set pretty high. The impression you get when you walk in is that not much has changed since the 1960s! The small bar is easily imagined with old friends and cigarette smoke after all hard days work. The restaurant is fairly small and it was crowded and somewhat noisy but that is certainly understandable on a Saturday night. We were seated in about 15 minutes having made a reservation. The service was great even though they were obviously overwhelmed. The menu was full of southern and Northern Italian dishes, including things like a red, roasted pepper and provolone appetizer. You don’t see that on many menus. We were probably presented with a basket of bread which tasted like it came from Perreca’s. There was butter and no dipping oil. There is a lovely cocktail selection each very unusual and two of us went for the.Revello, which is blood, orange gin, Cointreau, orange juice, and club soda. It was great, even though a bit strong for my taste. The salad was served family style, which was a lovely touch. Amazingly fresh with lettuce, tomato, celery, black olives, and small cubes of provolone. Served with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing wonderful. The first issue is that our entrées came out too soon. It’s an unusual complaint but when you are enjoying a salad like that and may want to have seconds out of the big bowl, it’s nice to have a little bit of time. That being said as busy as it was, I’m not sure they had the luxury of optimal timing. As for entrées, one of us had chicken francese, reported as being wonderful. The eggplant Parmesan, likewise, and it was lightly fried or sautéed, and did not have a breading on it. I should report that the portions are very large. I had the seafood platter, which is more like a.zuppa de pesce, which I had in red sauce, but you can have in white sauce as well, which contained a huge amount of clams shrimp calamari scallops. The shrimp were large 16/20 or possibly larger. The one food issue of the night is the haddock piccata. When my wife first ate here, she found this dish to be amazing and brought some home and I agreed. What made it amazing is it had a very light coating and was sautéed. The coding seemed like just egg and flour. The haddock piccata we had last night was deep fried with a thick breading. It totally took away from the dish, and the breading prevented the sauce from mixing with the fish. I’m not sure if it’s a difference between chefs, but if they read this, I hope they go back to the prior preparation. We did not try the homemade pasta, but it is available as an up charge. We left full and happy and will be back. We were in no shape for dessert although I’m sure it is amazing.

This is a nice, little restaurant very close to Proctor's. The food isn't the best Italian food I've ever eaten, but certainly nothing to complain about. We split a Chicken Parmigiana. The entree was good but I felt their sauce, while having a nice taste, was too thin. We also ordered a side of broccoli rabe. Similarly, nice taste but it was very tough. For dessert we had their lemon cake. It too was fine, but very sweet. Too sweet for my taste. On the plus side, their salad was one of the best I've had. Celery, carrots, tomatoes, bits of mozzarella, with a variety of greens in their homemade red wine vinegar dressing. Delicious. They also served some very nice pre-meal bread. The atmosphere was fine, but was plain and felt a little cramped. Service was good. All in all a good restaurant, but not a fantastic one.

Huge portions. But food was only ok. We ordered some specials. We'll go again and get the chicken parm and spaghetti they are famous for.

3.5 Stars. Ferrari's has decent, plentiful food. It is a holdover from a bygone era that still attracts people to the rapidly deteriorating neighborhood that surrounds it. The interior is classic Upstate NY Rustbelt Italian, and although the prices are a little on the high side, the somewhat bland fare is voluminous. One plate of their lasagna, manicotti, or veal marsala is really too much to eat for a single person, so go here on an empty stomach after you run your marathon. The staff at Ferrari's is courteous although the area is not so nice, so park as close to the entrance as possible and keep an eye out for trouble.

The house salad and calamari were really delicious. The veal Marsala was ok.

Average Italian food. Service was not great. Not a great neighborhood at night. Was seated right in the middle of the waiter station. Host seemed to forget about us when we got there.

We travel close to an hour to get there having said that. We made reservations and when we got there they did not have it. They couldn't accommodate us for an hour. They did not apologize, they just walked away. Totally unacceptable. There food 🥑 s good but there are other places within an hour travel with good food. Sorry not good business

This place has been a favorite of mine for years. Unfortunately things have changed. Veal parmesan isn't as good as it used to be. No longer thin and crispy and the veal wasn't good quality. Service was poor. Waitress didn't check on us at all and waited half hour to obtain the bill. Prices are high. Also sat us under the air conditioner and it was very cold

Excellent food, the shrimp cocktail and my pasta dish were both amazing. The calamari was also very good. The espresso martinis were excellent. However, my first espresso martini was practically thrown on the table, the waitress spilled half of it on the table cloth. I understand mistakes happen, so no big deal. But then when my second martini came, the waitress came from behind me and spilled it on my coat on the back of my chair. I did not realize this until I leaned back and my back was wet. Not impressed. I also did not realize that salads here are served family style. We had a group of 10 and there were only 2 salads served to our table. The plates to put the salad on were smaller than our appetizer plates. We all joked that we’d each get a “sample” of a salad.

eggplant Parm was mushy, not fried, unfortunately the worst I have ever had. homemade fettuccine with meatballs average. Sausage was delicious and so was the large portion of fried calamari. Kids fettuccine Alfredo was so so, way too much butter. Not the same Ferrari quality I used to love and enjoy.

I have never posted a review before . We love eating here for years. We reserved a table for 6 yesterday we were celebrating my uncles 75 birthday we were not aware it was restaurant week so this was a good surprise. We were sat promptly. All of the tables around us were being serviced . 25/30 mins later a waitress comes to the table and says has anyone come to the table yet . I say no . She immediately takes our order and says this is not my table so I am thankful she steps in . She takes the food order but never asked us if we want drinks . 10/15 mins later I flag her down and finally we order drinks . Our apps come out for 3- we are waiting on 2 more . The runner comes to the table with a hot antipasto and I tell them we did not order that . Then they come again with 2 apps that we didn’t order and I state again those are not ours . Still waiting for 10/15 mins I finally see a waitress and get her attention and I ask about the 2 apps. After a few more minutes I get my app and my mom waits another 5 mins. Finally our food comes and all were correct except for mine . I was so disappointed. The waitress could tell I was frustrated and asked and I didn’t want to make a scene in the restaurant. I told her the food was ok but shrugged my shoulders knowing she knew the service that we received was TERRIBLE. The check came and I thought based on all of this there would be some compensation BUT no . We still tipped 20% so our bill was around $300. Called it a loss and left. We love it here but again very disappointed

This one has me so overwhelmed I am not sure where to start! Show at Proctors and my old favorite under new ownership and a big disappointment last time. My daughters research and great reviews brought us to Ferrari’s. We called, explained we were seeing a show at Proctors Theater and asked what time the we should make reservations for to be out in time. We were told 6 would get us there in plenty of time. Arriving shortly after 6, we called and advised because of traffic. In hindsight not sure that mattered as numerous parties with 6 pm reservations were standing in the very crowded bar area. No hostess just upset customers. No comment from the two bartenders that were waiting on 8-10 seats at the bar. At 6:20, Aunt Maria appears and as several customers bombarded her with I have 6 pm reservations. She responded with “I am Aunt Maria, you can’t get mad at me”. She broke into song and then proceeded to tell one customer “relax, you are going to get fed”. I do appreciate because of the show we got taken in first. Now inside, she takes our party of 3 to a 6 top. Are you sure this is where you want us, there are only 3 of us. We were then told “no, you made a reservation for 5”. We countered with why would we do that when only 3 of us? Going back to her notes told us we were right. It is now 6:35 and we are finally seated. Dress warm with layers. It was freezing below vents and when kicked off became comfortable. Wait staff immediately served a bread basket with Villas and another delicious option, butter at the bottom. Requiring you to touch all of the other bread to get to it.... once you find it. Waitress quickly took our drink order and dinner order. We explained the show time was 8. She assured us no worries. Salads were brought out quickly. Dinner was served at 7:20. The restaurant seemed very loud but in part may have been the three children who were completely disrespecting nana and papa over dinner. Or the gentleman who continuously farted so loud and so long that we would turn in disbelief. I gave the credit card when the waitress served dinner to expedite process. Clearly no time for eating, coffee or thought of dessert as we needed to drive to theater, find parking and get to seats before 8. We inhaled dinner which was VeRY large servings but not everything I thought would be for the reviews I had read. Plate size piece of chicken, personally would have preferred more cheese less chicken. It was so thin not a lot of flavor in little chicken I ate. Sauce was delicious but sparse on my pasta. Ironically they offered more for the left overs when boxed up! My daughter enjoyed her Alfredo. Boxed up and running from the restaurant we raced to Proctors. We made it to our seats at 7:59. Not the relaxing evening out we had hoped. When I raised the question, would you want to try it again on the way home the radio silence spoke volumes.

So what happened since the last time we were here a couple months ago? It's like two totally different dining experiences compared to our previous visit. This time- minimal service and interaction with our server. No return visit after the meal was delivered to inquire how it was going or if we needed anything. Everyone was rushed and seemed stressed - not a relaxing atmosphere. And the food- it was very bland. The sauce was so thin and watery that everytime I took a fork from the side dish for a taste it ran all over the place . the eggplant had minimal cheese on it and there was no sign of a batter fried eggplant layer(like the menu description) I literally took each layer apart to find only a thin slice of gray eggplant. Not even a remote taste of garlic, basil, oregano to be found anywhere... tasteless. How do you make Italian food, of all things - bland? New cook in the kitchen perhaps. ?? We were looking forward the great quality, mid week meal that brings us back here time and again. Sorry to say disappointly- it was nowhere to be found. Consistency is what brings us back to any restaurant. Miscues happen sometimes- I get it, but this was really a long fall from what we were used to here.

Lasagna was so so bad literally just cold layers of rubbery noodles with almost no filling, burnt cheese & a watery red sauce on top. Bread was cold & stale too? Genuinely confused as I’ve heard good things about this spot.

Food N/A couldn't be seated. No indication of seat yourself or wait. Multiple, I guess staff, kept walking by. If you're a regular maybe it's a different. But I did get to stand and listen and learn about all the ole timers who are sick or have died recently from the guy behind the bar. Seems like the answer is just to call and get take out, at least they could get food orders taken. Unbelievable.

No idea what happened to this place. The food was absolutely disgusting, the service was even worse. I had to flag my waitress down to take my order and get the check. They grabbed our drinks and never returned with them. When they brought our entrees out we had to tell them they never gave us our salads. The “haddock francese” was a cold rubbery piece of deepfriend skin that was soaked in oil. The pasta was also cold and chewy. No chance the meatball they gave me had any meat in it. The bus boy was very kind and had great customer service, outside of that this place has gone wayyyyy down hill.

Ferraris greatness is a thing of the past. Our last time in the restaurant to dine was nothing spectacular, my wife picked up take out tonight and it was horrible. I got a seafood and pasta dish. The clams were the smallest i’ve ever seen and so over cooked they were shriveled , the calamari had zero flavor with a the texture like rubber . The Scallops severely overcooked. The butter and garlic sauce , let’s be nice and say It could be duplicated in a microwave . Friends invited us to a birthday party there in two weeks. We called to decline , I refuse to spend money there going forward. We expressed to the party host they reconsider their decision to have a birthday party there. Like all the once great staples of Schenectady, this one is beginning the downward spiral to becoming extinct. The quality is gone. It’s your money, i’d suggest hit up your local grocery store grab a box of ziti a jar of ragu and some Frozen meatballs. You’ll be ahead of the game financially and still get that italian satisfaction.

Where do I start? Dinner took almost 3 hours. Two of those hours were spent waiting for our food. They sent the salad with the main meal. The food was grey, flavorless, and the consistency of wet toilet paper. Server was a clueless kid. The whole place smells like a dead fish. Dawn dish detergent instead of hand soap in the bathrooms. Avoid at all costs.
