Hadn't eaten there before. Great food, great service, loved the fries! Looking forward to trying other things on my next visit
Food was really good. Service was great. Hot Pastrami sandwich and fries, yum. Mushroom burger YUM. First visit and definitely not our last visit. Dodgers are winning. 😀
OMG!!! Absolutely AMAZING!! My waitress informed me they smoke everything there so that "sold" me right out of the gate...I got the BBQ Chicken Breast Sandwich - no BBQ Sauce 😁 and French Fries....the sandwich was absolutely delicious!!! So delicious, l ordered another to-go!! The fries were crunchy...how'd they master that??? Oh!! They were so good...and they came to me, sizzling hot!! 🔥temperature-wise...yes, l burned my tongue see 😝....they spiced them perfectly too...just delicious!! For my 2nd sandwich, l got a salad....l loved the service, everyone was super friendly as if l'd been there before and it was my 1st time there. Definitely going back!!
Food is good and they have a decent beer/drink list. Best part is the speed of service. I have 2 young kids so being able to get in and out quickly before we have a meltdown makes this the go to spot for eating out.
Not only is this one of my favorite places for lunch it is many locals favorite place for lunch. The food's very good is priced fairly the servers are always good the portions are almost too large. If you happen to like a sports bar this is the best one you'll find in this town
Great sports bar. Updated and clean
It's a sports bar. No no, it's THE sports bar in Simi. We come here to watch baseball and even during the height of early football madness, they still put the dodgers on somewhere. Thanks guys. Also, bartender staff is unmatched and super friendly with quick service.
A walk from the Marriott I went with local friend everything was A+. my only request is add a Pilsner and some Bourbon
Great atmosphere and food! Got the Philly Cheese Steak today and was DELICIOUS! The service was fantastic as well. I'm not a big sports fan, but this place is AMAZING for sports. I counted 26 TVS placed well throughout the place and apparently they serve breakfast on Sunday for football. Yum!
This is a great sports bar. The food is fresh and great, burgers, chili, salads, and dogs. Their wings are awesome. They have breaded wings and smoked wings. The Pretzels are soft and fresh. Holly is a great bartender and so is George during weekdays. Owners John and Randy are great as well. Even the "reugulars" are very welcoming. They have probably close to 20 big tv's with all the games showing. Good beers and a full bar. Prices are reasonable.
Great food, and the magician that is there is fun to watch and adds to the experience. Family friendly, great staff. Edit for 2022 We want for an early dinner. Brought the dog and the owner even came out to say hello and try to meet her which was really nice! The food was excellent as always, and the dog loved the hot dog!
Great place to come to eat and feel welcome. We brought in 30 adults and 10 kids from our baseball team and they were able to sit us quickly. We also were greeted quick and served efficiently enough to keep the boys from being restless. They also have a few arcade games that the kids loved. Sports on many televisions and cold 🍺's. What's not to like.
Staff is still always nice and my food is never wrong. I will always go here for good food and great service. Even on a busy day, the food came fast and right. Despite appearing short staffed for the day.
Probably eaten here a dozen times. The portions are big so don't go here if you're on a diet. The service has always been very good and the servers pay very close attention. In talking to several of my friends it appears to be on their favorite list also. There aren't too many places in simi that can make you a deli style turkey sandwich, this place can.
It's a sports bar and grill. Their meals are substantial in size and the few times I have been there the meals were great. The prices are reasonable too. I'll be back regularly, oh the service was great too.
Happened on this spot by chance and what a find! All of the staff are great! The waitresses consistently checked on me, the bartender makes a mean whiskey sour and the food was great! Several tv screens in every direction so its easy to watch any number of sports...have came back at least 2x a week since!
This is me and my husbands favorite place. It is advertised as a sports bar, but is always pretty calm and relaxed. The food is incredible, everything is a hit. We bring our friends here to try the food whenever we get the chance.
This is truly a great place to hang out and watch a game. The food quality is high above an average sports bar. Happy Hour (4-7 pm) prices are very good. We're vegetarian and didn't have any terrible finding suitable options. We ordered chips and salsa, pretzel bites with dipping cheese, a Texas burger with a veggie patty with crispy onions, chipotle mayo and fries, and a kids cheese quesadilla for my 6-year-old. I ordered an 805 26 oz draft and my wife got a light draft beer. Everything was delicious! The burger, bun and toppings were excellent! The tortilla chips were thick and very crispy and the salsa had a smoky flavor with great heat. The fries were delicious, too. I guarantee you will not be disappointed after visiting The Dugout.
While in Ca. I visited the “Dugout” sports grill. A nice selection of beverages(beer, soda etc.). I had pretzel bites that were phenomenal as an appetizer followed by sliders that were very delicious. Don’t forget about the fresh side salad. Friendly staff. Clean environment. I recommend!
Great food...Great service... Lots of screens...Lots of sports... We had a fantastic time... We'll be back many more times ! 😎
What a great place to watch sports games and enjoy some delicious comforting food. We love their burgers and their bbq chicken salad. Excellent staff!
The Dugout was able to sit out huge hockey team. Party of 50. The servers were awesome. Very nice friendly and fast!! Very good food. I will always recommend and eat here
Went in to watch the women's NCAA final. They offered to put it on the TV closest to us. I'm a fan of anywhere that puts on women's sports for you.
I love the dug out! The staff are outstanding and the food and drinks are top notch! Best place I've been to in a long time!

Dugout Sports Bar is a fantastic spot! The food was delicious, especially the wings recommended by our amazing server Jane, and the drinks were top-notch with a great selection. The vibe was laid-back yet lively, and the service was friendly and attentive. Perfect for a casual hangout—I'll definitely be back!
There’s 400 reviews on this place and the vast majority are 4-5 stars. So I don’t need to go into great detail about this place as it’s been done previously. The food was great! Service was good! No excessive waiting for drinks or food. I will patron again next time we’re in Simi. If you go, which you should, make sure to get the pretzel bite appetizer with the cheese. *chefs kiss*
Wow this food was incredible !!! Also, service was amazing, Jessie was so on top of everything would recommended every good menu item. She made the experience of being new to the area perfect !!! We even watched the dodger game!
We've been eating at the Dugout since it was in Moorpark. The California burger is the best. I hate burgers, but love them here. I'm convinced they use a high quality provider. The fries have changed, but they're still good. Plenty of screens for the games you're watching, or for happily distracting yourself from family. Great hot dogs and sandwiches, too.
Good place to catch the game and get some brews & grub. The food is really good and plentiful. Specifically, their chili is absolutely amazing. Servers are nice and attentive. Looking forward to getting back there!

Friendly, good food, lots of TVs, decent beer selection. One of the few places to serve tater tots... And you can get them "loaded"! Highly recommend the chicken club... Whole chicken breast sliced thick.
Went there on a Sunday to watch some NFL games. We had the pretzel bites with queso blanco dip and mustard. They were salted just right and fluffy in texture when you bit into them. They surprisingly maintained their softness even when they cooled off. Most pretzels or bites hardened pretty quickly in my past experience. Dugout's pretzel bites honestly taste better than most sporting arenas' that sell them. We also had the chips and artichoke dip which was pretty good as well. For my own meal, I gave the Philly cheese steak with a side of garlic fries a try. The cheese steak was a good size sandwich. The tri tip had a nice smoked aroma and taste to it. It had the right amount of melted provolone and BBQ sauce in it, but I wish they had added a little more bell peppers and onions. The garlic fries were on point! I loved the amount of chopped garlic that covered the fries. Tasted awesome! Service was great! Our server Erica was great! She hustled to not only make sure we had what we needed but everyone else that she was attending to. From our observation, the servers working when we were there, did a fantastic job getting customers seated, taking their orders and getting drinks and food out in a timely manner. They were actually short staffed as we found out a little later, but they handled the rush in a professional manner. We enjoyed the atmosphere as the games were on. Not extremely noisy like other bar settings. Did notice that some of their dining furniture were a little worn out, especially individual chairs, but the booths were fine. The restroom floors could use an update, but at least it was clean inside. I would give them a 5, but since it was our first visit to their establishment and we haven't tried more food and drink items, I feel a score of 4 is fair to start off with.
Came to watch Monday nite football. Quieter crowd than regular sports bars which was nice. Lots of TVs to choose from. Server was very friendly and attentive. Booth seats are not the most comfortable. But overall, great experience 👍
We enjoy stopping off here after a Costco run. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good food. We like the happy hour prices and the kids menu has quite a variety on it. I was disappointed to find out the chicken tortilla soup is no longer being offered. Boohoo it was a favorite. If you tend to get cold bring a sweater the air conditioning is always cranked too high.
Service is great, very friendly staff, cocktails and beers on tap are good. Food can be hit and miss. Smoked chicken is really good in any dish, have gotten fries that were a mix of cooked perfectly and slightly raw.
Food came out hot, and my Buffalo burger was great. I really enjoyed the Buffalo sauce. The only drawback was that there wasn't enough on the burger. Great place, highly recommended.
It's a pretty good sports bar with good food. It won't knock your socks off but they have a lot of TVs for sports, and there's really no bad seat in the house. It's a good place to go with friends and have a couple beers. I'd recommend it and go there again.
Great sports bar with friendly staff. The service is really good and the food isn't bad at all. Prices are very reasonable and people often stop in for a drink due to the location. Overall great sports bar with lots of TV coverage and happy hour has a good vibe. I recommend this place if you're in the neighborhood or even if you are looking for a quick drink and a game to watch.
Very friendly locals to talk to, every time I visit. Another one of my Happy places. SKOAL! 🍻
I've been going here on and off since they opened. At first it seemed hit or miss, but in the past year or so, the food has really improved from "standard sports bar food" to my favorite versions of some items. They have amazing onion rings and potato skins. I usually get their grilled cheese (not as good as The Hat, but still) or their bleu cheese burger. That, paired with their reasonably priced variety of beers and friendly service, makes for a positive dining experience. It's worth noting that we've dined with groups of 8 and we were seated quickly and had no decrease in service or food quality. The Dugout has definitely become a staple in our rotation.

Had great food & drinks . Poor bartending was left behind as the other bartender sat with friends and only tended to them just watching her. But the bartender who actually worked was great
Food OK. Wife got Cobb salad and no cilantro as stated which she asked for extra. To much cheese and the onions were those French's onions which are almost phony and too salty. My brisket sandwich was descent. Not Wow. But good flavor. Fries are great and hot when we were served. Great beer choices. Great service. Would rate 3.5.
A sports bar. My burger was good but the tacos are white as hell. They don't take discover btw. It's what you expect.

The other reviews are probably written by friends and family. Here is the honest truth...... staff is welcoming, friendly, attentative, and professional. They are the ones that deserve the stars. Food......we waited 45 minutes to get one appetizer and a buger.....two items. I don't mind waiting for good food, but our appetizer was burnt.......why, was it under the heat lamp all that time? The place was not crowded and most of the customers were just drinking. Prices are too high for what they deliver. They do have plenty of TV's to watch sports which makes it a great place to enjoy a game and a drink......but don't bother with the food
staff was unfriendly and rude smelled like fish for some reason and the food was wet and greasy. my server was a girl named melanie
Service was good but food was rather bland and the environment is rather tense. Just go to cronies.
Horrible service; they sat us in the table with a crappy attitude for no reason. People that worked there kept looking at us nobody came to even say we will be right with you. 20 mins and nothing; it was not even busy. It was our first time going and we leave 20-30 percent in tip. First impressions are everything! We just walked out.
This place has got to be closing soon. We've going here for YEARS!!! Our last visit though, was the last. Our waitress' attitude was snotty with a side of fake sauce . It was 815 we were told the kitchen was closing soon. I couldn't get a ice tea but if the kitchen closing. We made it easy and ordered 2 simple things. Went to wash my hands and nearly passed out from holding my breath. Not sure when the bathroom was last cleaned.. couple months ago, Thats how bad the smell was. After about 5 min of eating. We were grossed out at the amount of nates flying around and it didn't taste good enough to eat either. We got our check, normally we tip very generously. Not this day. It was a pleasure but this place needs a make over and ALL new staff.
We got there about 8:45 and waited almost 5 minutes before we were acknowledged, from across the bar. About 4 men were sitting at the bar, the only other ones in the place. She yelled "We are closed! Last call was 10 minutes ago and the kitchen is closed!" I teased, "You are just teasing!" She walked towards us and said "We are closed! The doors are locked!" I told her they weren't, because we opened them to get in! Door said closing is 9pm. She was rude and dismissive. We won't be back.
