Whataburger, Wichita Falls, TX Food: Fries are skinny and crispy, cooked to perfection. First time trying it and it was pretty good. There are those burger places where the burgers just lack any flavor but this definitely isn't one. I have to say, Lionel there made this a very pleasant experience despite the snow storm outside. All the team members were respectful but his humor and manners were just on a whole other level that makes you want to come back. Shame this particular location is far from us.

I’m from az we have a Whataburger there. But it did not hit like it hit in TEXAS. I was staying at the hotel across the street and need some food so I walked over. It was busy inside as well as the drive thru. I ordered my food and sat down to wait. Some how with it being crazy this employee knew it was my first time and wanted to make it memorable. Before I speak about him the entire staff was great. No one missed a beat and work together like well oiled machine. Now back to Author. Through all the organized chaos he made me fill like he was my personal waiter, while he was boxing cinnamon rolls and bagging fries. He definitely went above and beyond. Thank you Author you made my experience great. 👍🏾
LeMay helped us so much!! She was wonderful and works well with us and our mother who is deaf. The restaurant was very clean as well and the food was great. We asked for it to go and received each meal in its own bag. What wonderful service!! Thank you!
I haven't had Whataburger in over 10 years, yes I live in Texas because I didn't like it but yesterday I found myself extremely hungry and it was the only restaurant available so had no choice but to try and I was not disappointed,good job Whataburger.

My family and I stopped through here after about eight hours of driving. The staff was super friendly and quick and was joking around with us as we we placed our orders. I believe the on-shift manager’s name was Chris, and it was obvious that the crew was having a good time tonight. Awesome stuff after a long day of travel!

This is better than most other locations, but the drive-through took forever because a new staff member was being trained. I sat in line for 45 minutes. I'm sure this is not typical for this location. The food was great and it was nice and hot.
During lunch on a Saturday, it was busy and the staff seemed to be handling everything with good efficiency and gave great customer service to everyone that was there at the time. The food was fresh and made to order, I threw in a couple of twists on the multiple orders and they handled them perfectly. The on duty manager was friendly and helpful. I've heard less than stellar reviews about the night shift but this is a review of the day shift weekends.
We passed up the free breakfast at the hotel and were really pleased with our decision. These Whataburger employees were very accommodating and friendly. The food was even better than my Whataburger at home in San Antonio.
Came to Whataburger 1st time while on vacation from out of state, where we don't have this business. Michelle and Vanessa made our visit remarkable, fresh French fries and onion rings. Burgers and chicken sandwiches were hot as well. The sweet tea was excellent! Love their fries as well, great flavor. Staff welcomed us with a smile on their faces. Checked on us while eating. Inside was clean and well kept. Such a huge menu, so many options! If I lived here, my weight would definitely increase 🤣🤣. If we're ever back in Wichita Falls, we'll be back! Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience!
Great stuff in that I customized for my diet and did no bun. Generally a little messy and hard to eat vs wrapping it in a lettuce wrap but great food

Comedy experience from start to finish. Cashier’s humor made our dinner much more enjoyable. Despite them running out of napkins and ice. They were able to make do and customers were still happy. Burgers and fries was delicious and the service was delightful. A definite recommend and return.
This Whataburger has the absolute best customer service. We pulled in with a group of 31. Right before we arrived was a softball team and right after us was another large group. We were in and out of there in an hour...including potty time! Food was hot and the team working were happy the whole time!! Thank you for making it such a pleasant experience.
I thought I got short changed on a large shake but they explained it and were right, I got what I paid for. The place in austin I am used to going to just gives large shakes in large drink cups.
We were in a rush to get to our destination and stopped by this Whataburger location for a quick bite for the kids. Despite the busy dining area, drive-thru, and kitchen, Jimmy took our order with ease. He was kind and courteous not only to us but also to his coworkers. I was so impressed with his service that I felt compelled to write this review. Other Whataburger locations across the state could certainly take a page from this one’s book!
After a 14-hour drive from Arizona stopped here to eat, it's 11: 37pm and I was greeted and helped by Ty. She was amazing. She went above and beyond. I honestly was shocked and that's why I had to do this review immediately. I really wish a lot of establishments had someone like her. I pray that the company recognizes her in some way shape or form because yall have a gem.
This is hands down the best Whataburger I’ve ever eaten. Everyone was so pleasantly helpful. Food was off the charts
10/10 they were busy but we still got our food quick and hot. It was delicious and the staff was really friendly, and I even got a compliment from the nice lady at the register. Fantastic food and service. Great stop on our road trip.
Great staff. Nice and friendly. Got my order with no problems and cooked just as I would if I was at a 5 🌟 restaurant. Great place for on the go or dining in. Bathrooms were clean tables were clean as well as floors. Very happy every time I go. Try today if haven't before. Open 24 hours a day. If unsure of what to order during breakfast hours I recommend the breakfast burger combo. ☺️
Words cannot express how grateful we are to this manager on duty and the staff. We showed up with 13 teenage boys and 5 adults. We had an order ahead order and she worked so hard to make sure it was all sorted and we got what we needed. She was so kind, so calm, and so helpful - all with the most packed restaurant I’ve seen in a while. This lady was a true all star. Thanks!!
The crew here is very professional with good manners. It’s handicap accessible. Very clean. Max needs a raise she went out of her way to make sure that my family and I were comfortable and everyone else in the restaurant was well takin care of she was very hospitable caring more than about her job. Great Whataburger to go to food was awesome!!!

The new Pico de Gallo burger is a must try, it is delicious (if you like spice). We live in Oklahoma and come down every July and we always stop at Whataburger in Wichita Falls,Texas!!! They are simply the best!!!
Went on a short road trip and saw whataburger getting on the interstate to head home, never had it before so I stopped to give it a try. I ended up getting a whataburger and fries. Everything was fresh and made just how I ordered it but the burger was not good to me. Fries where great and why I gave it 4 stars even though I didn’t like it was because it was fresh and made fast and correct but the customer service was great! The lady at the window and taking orders was in such a great mood and happy. It was great to have a smiling friendly person working. It was refreshing!
The place was dirty. Sticky floor, dirty tables, and flies everywhere... slow service. Saw someone counting cash by the back fryer where food is being prepared. There's at least 7 people in the back, and I got my order AFTER the person that came in after me.

Was coming back from Amarillo, stopped at the Whataburger in Wichita Falls. Bought 2 # 7s, ordered with cheese. Ordered 2 apple pies, never got the cheese and only received 1 apple pie. When I went into the store, the kids said they put cheese on the hamburgers and 2 pies in the bag and refused to give me cheese or another pie.
Forget it ! By the time I was able to finish ordering, my Son Called & stated, he had already eaten @ Whataburger & just as I was going to finalize the order, they deleted it, no patience @ all. That’s why I stated “Forget it” I know he could have eaten another one with no problem. I like them quite a bit myself. Go Stros !!!
This location seems very small and cramped. The floor was very slick and greasy. We weren't offered any ketchup or sauce. The country music was very loud. Bathroom is pretty large but only for 1 person and had no changing table. I changed my toddler's diaper in the back of our car. Also seems like the bathroom is shared with employees . Wouldn't recommend bringing a group here. Staff seemed somewhat friendly. Not much parking. We parked at a hotel and walked.
We ran in to use the restroom and grab a bite to go from this location. Nothing spectacular in either direction. There were two homeless, one sitting at the front of the location and the other walking around in the parking lot. The one walking around asked for a dip, which I didn't have for him but then he walked away. Food was as always at whataburger.
Spent over 100$ didn’t get no ketchup even tho we asked. The dude answering the phone has a people problem
They tried.... Order-taker couldn't seem to hear half of what we said, though we spoke loudly and clearly. Out of our 7 meals, 3 were fixed incorrectly (hamburgers)...1 order of fries was old, cold, and awful. Ketchup packets were covered in ketchup on the outside and for 7 meals we were only given 5 packets, which because they were so nasty we didn't even want to use. At the window we were given 4 drinks, then asked if they were missing any...um...yes, 3 more, which after we told then what they were, they mixed up sizing on two. Need some attention to detail and retraining on getting it right, all aspects, the first time.
I wasn't particularly impressed with this Whataburger location. By all means it was in a handy spot with plenty of parking, but the lobby is closed at night... so walking through the drive through, the sensors won't pick you up, so you have to walk around to the window. I assume that Wichita Falls is a bit of an area that people lock things up, because the crew member inside had to unlock the sliding window to tell me the lobby was closed... he did finally take my order after I pretended to hang on to my steering wheel and honk. The food... well, it was ok... i know it's not Houston or Dallas, so it was just ok. If i park around there again, yeah, I'll probably go back, and maybe next time I'll bring a horn. Go try it out, see what you think!
Unfortunately this is prime example of the death of quality and service in America. Corporate offices don't care. They are just cutting cost, cutting the workforce and buying the cheapest food they can while living on the legacy of their grandfather's quality and service. Good luck. Late night stop here passing through Texas. For starters, the drive-through was probably 6 to 8 cars deep. Inside, there were about 6 people just waiting as they had ordered. We ordered, and our food took just over 30 minutes. You could tell people were agitated. The food wasn't bad, the atmosphere was a little chaotic, and there was tension in the air. It was not the greatest experience. It was Sunday night around 10:30 pm, so maybe that played a part in it all. Maybe it will be a better experience for you.
It was really packed in the Whataburger we went on the Frontage road. I had been looking forward to going to Whataburger since we do not have one in Florida anymore.i was a little disappointed though as the burger I had was pretty soaked with grease. My parents had problems with their order of 1 plain double meat Justaburger. Both my parents cannot eat onions and dad cannot eat all the veggies that come on a burger. Needless to say both burgers came out wrong. The employee who brought the meal said he would get it corrected and back out to them. 20 minutes padded and I went to the counter. The boy I had talked with said they had a problem in the back as they have away their hamburgers. So, they had to fire the hamburger. Oh, the 1st round gave us 3 burgers to take home. The 2nd round wasn't too much better as they brought the entire order again (which was wrong again). It gave us 5 extra burgers and 2 extra fries. It was kindof crazy with the problems.
I should've known when my bag was handed to me greasy. Burger was cold fries looked like they were there since yesterday and cold the bacon was one strip cut in half.I was very disappointed
The food at this location was pretty much what I would expect from a Whataburger but the service was sub par, my Jr. Burger came out after 20mins of waiting and watching other people in line behind me get their whole meals. After asking where my food was, I was given a terrible answer of "well some orders get taken out" and after another 10 mins finally got my food
Like most fast food places in this town, the food was neither fast nor was it hot. I sat in the pickup spot for 45 minutes after checking in on the app. Called in and spoke to the manager, and according to her she was the only one doing anything inside the restaurant. I filled out a complaint with the receipt from my visit. We will see if things get corrected. This visit was unacceptable and the owner needs to fix the issues in their restaurants...
Seriously, understaffed, in the morning, we ordered curbside, and they let our food sit on the counter and get cold because the girl was taking other orders instead of bringing things out curbside, very disappointing, nobody likes cold fries

Their parking is limited. We walked up to the entrance, which had vomit on the ground. That isn't sanitary at all, but we stayed because we'd been traveling, and we were starving. The atmosphere was chaotic and gave me anxiety. The men's restroom was locked, according to the man who came out of the women's restroom. The women's restroom was dirty. The employees looked visibly stressed. Our food took a very long time. As they set our food down, in walks, a lady with a little dog that had a "support animal" vest from Amazon. We ate in a rush because we were so ready to get out of there. The food was decent surprisingly, although our appetite was minimal at that point.
Waited 45 mins for our food. Watched 2 different families get refunds for waiting so long. Shift lead was too busy flirting with customers to ensure food came out quickly. After issuing said refunds he went outside to cool off instead of focusing on remaining customers
Needs serious work when it comes to management. Manager had an extremely careless attitude. Was standing around chatting with his employees on break rather than doing his job during a rush. We waited ~25 minutes for our food, and after questioning why it was taking so long, he immediately jumped to “Well I’ll just give you a refund”, rather than giving us an answer. Only positive thing I have to say is the girl that took our initial order was very kind and pleasant to interact with.
We were passing through Wichita Falls and decided to stop at this location. I ordered 2 kids meal without salt on the fries but wanted cheese on my burger. Tell me why it looked like my burger was just thrown together and on top of that it had shredded cheese sprinkled on it instead of a cheese slice. Plus our burgers were cold. Our fries had salt on it and were cold. I want my money back. I live too far for this. Won't be back!
Dont listen and overcharge for whats not ordered
I waited 30 minutes for 1 meal. I was then offered an apple pie for my wait. The workers lacked responsibility and professionalism in there jobs. They were cursing at each other and showing that they don’t appreciate their job. The workers are irresponsible
We placed an order for two honey butter chicken biscuits at 7:01 and didn’t receive them until 7:25. The chicken tenders didn’t even go into the fryer until after 7:20. They kept saying they were understaffed, but there were at least four people in the kitchen and the restaurant was not crowded.
Took 15mins with 2 cars in front of me at the drive through. Everything was cold as a stone.

Stopped at 4 o’clock Saturday November 30 for restroom and food. Bathroom was a scene of water and toilet paper on the woman bathroom floor . There was no toilet paper to use. Went to counter waited for someone to wait on me while talking going on among staff. One woman worker was leaving getting her food and making a lot of talk among others while patrons were waiting. Then I learned the malt machine wasn’t working so I left without either bathroom or food.
Looking at the ticket and my watch and it took 16 minutes to get one large order of fries. Not that busy at 10:30 on a Saturday
Edit: 6/29/2025 One year later and this location has gotten even worse. They lost our entire order. The "ticket fell off" so they just let us sit there, waiting. Absolutely garbage restaurant and the staff just didn't care. DO NOT STOP HERE!! Only gave us half of our order in the drive-thru, restrooms were also dirtier than acceptable for a public bathroom and were out of paper towels.
Ordered online, went through the drive thru to pick up my order. At the speaker I gave them my name, they told me to pull up. When I got to the window after waiting for about 10 minutes in line they informed me they lost my order. They treated me horrible as if it was my fault. The manager kaleb winter forced me to get out of the line and wait in the parking lot for my order after I refused. He then threatened to call the police on me just because i didn’t want to pull up and wait. This has happened to many times while using the online app. So I was just tired of making it easy for them when they could care less about the customer!! Will never go back to central fwy whataburger!! Horrible customer service.
If I could give it a zero star review I would. I waited over 30 minutes in the drive though line. Employees were not very friendly and didn't seem to care about the poor service they provided.
I was hear for 35 minutes before I got my order and then when I got it I ordered a breakfast platter and I couldn't tell what it was when I got home ...look at my picture i have brown stuff on it ...I don't know what's on it....is it Grease, leftover pieces from food that was cooked before... the grill was not clean I don't know but they were short-handed and the food sucked save me money.... I was not impressed this is one of my worst reviews I have ever put up...
Went in the drive thru last Saturday morning and we had a small order, 3 taquitos and 1 small coffee and med coffee. We waited for a long time...but that is kinda expected from Whataburger..but when we got there we both got small coffees and told they ran out if med cups. I brushed it off even though we was still charged for the med. Got to work and pull out the creamer for my coffee and there was yellow liquid on all of them. I open my burrito to find a hair... But the worst thing was when i call the store and asked for a manager... The employee was told by the manager (Vicki) to take a message!! Will never going back.. Especially with that i dont care attitude.. No telli g what the kitchen looks like
I ordered ahead just to show up and have to come in to get it because the order was over 10 min late and the ENTIRE curbside section was blocked by some genius who parked a horse trailer in front of the building . Currently sitting inside almost 30 min after the order was supposed to be out .
Ate inside. Our friend got his food and as the employee walked away he tried to ask for ketchup and was rudely told he'd be back. Then the guy never came back. We waited 30 minutes for our food. We sat and watched people who come in after us and order 3 meals and still got their food first. All we ordered was two number 14's!! Slow, pitiful service. A disgrace to the whataburger name.
Not a 9 ft clearance for the drive through. There was a branch hanging down low that was high enough for lower vehicle la to clear but not Vo y sprinter van so my roof got scratched up
Nobody should have to wait 45+ minutes in a fast food drive through, it’s ridiculous this has happened more than once here. I watched two employees walk out to another employee who was sitting in their car and take a hit off his joint. One was still wearing his gloves and I doubt he changed them when he got back inside.

Every time I've ordered from this restaurant, I get the wrong order, missing items, or in general have a terrible experience here. After having seizures, including one in the drive through, I got an order that was yet again incorrect. A plain cheeseburger. About the only thing I could eat. The order was REPEATED BACK TO CONFIRM ONLY MEAT AND CHEESE. I get the bag of good, and gleefully open my sandwich wrapper in anticipation of the first food I've been able to eat and am struck in the face by a piece of lettuce that looks like it made a point with a mustard bottle. $17 wasted. The rage I am experiencing is surmounted only by disappointment.
Very disappointed, horrible service. I ordered my food at 530 am didn't leave till 40 minutes later, and with an incomplete order. The wait was ridiculous and then I ordered a large ice coffee only to be told after I paid that they didn't have it but had hot coffee, so I said ok then ill take the large hot cofee, so he goes to the counter and helps the people at the counter and I wait another 5 minutes only for him to bring me a small and say we dont have no more coffee. I will not return to this location!!
Several times in a row I’ve been to this location and had to wait 10+ minutes for my food.. Along with waiting, I am almost always missing items.. This is ridiculous and I’ll just start going to a different location, this one is horribly ran.
Ordered breakfast for pickup at 7:15 AM at the Central E Fwy & Maurine St. (#435) Whataburger in Wichita Falls. The app gave an estimated pickup time of 7:28 AM. No one ever came out with my order. By 7:45 AM, I finally walked inside to check on it. There was no line, yet I stood at the counter while multiple employees looked directly at me and continued talking to each other, hugging, and checking their phones. I was completely ignored. After I finally spoke up and asked about my order, I was told it was ready. The food was already made and had been sitting there the entire time, yet no one bothered to bring it out or acknowledge me. To make matters worse, the order was incorrect. This wasn’t a staffing issue — it was a lack of basic customer service and management. When completed pickup orders sit unattended and customers are visibly ignored while employees socialize, that’s a leadership problem. This location is operating well below Whataburger standards, especially during weekday breakfast hours. I’m not looking for free food — I just expect reasonable pickup times, correct orders, and to be acknowledged when I walk into a restaurant. This location clearly needs manager or district-level attention.
I ordered through the window the person at the window asked me to drive around to the door in front of the restaurant. I did even though there was only one car behind me. He came out and took my food which he had given to the car behind me and tried to give it to me after it had been in a total strangers hands. I told him I would not accept food that had made the rounds he needed to start the order all over again. He then came out and asked me to park in the handicap parking to clear up the drive through. I did as requested and I went in and asked to speak to the manager. I asked if they take food back and she answered no. I explained the person at the window did. She gave me excuses about how he was new. But never offered anything even an 'I sorry'. Just an excuse to justify the bad service. I will not be going back to that Whatabuger.

This Whataburger is trash! From their customer service skills down to completing a clearly stated order. My mother in law and I went this morning to get some breakfast on the way back home from the airport and we were greeted with trashy attitude all around. The person at the drive thru had a very dry and crappy attitude and rushed us. He would not allow us to finish what we were saying without hearing “what else.” We CLEARLY said bacon they gave us sausage; I asked for a jalapeño cheddar biscuit, they gave me a regular biscuit. If they wouldn’t be so rushed and would listen, they would have satisfied customers.
This location needs to take a hard look at Management. Saturday 9pm. Waited 45 minutes for 3/5 of us to NOT get our food. 5 or 6 customers that ordered after us received their food no problem. We voiced our frustrations and told them how other people who ordered food 10-20 minutes after us were already eating. I guess we complained too much because she refunded us our money, slammed it on the table and told us to “Get out”. 8 employees behind the counter and “only 1 was cooking” according to an employee that was handing out orders. The burger I received was good. Not complaining about food quality. Simply poor management.
We’re traveling and wanted to get some whataburger as we were passing through. We did an online take out order. First we went in and used the bathrooms which were disgusting. Then we sat at a table to wait for our food and while waiting we watched a girl sneeze twice on the cup she then used to pour one of our drinks in. We just got up and left. Disappointing.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE. I've never been to a fast food restaurant before and been ignored for 40 whole minutes while having to wait for my singular cheeseburger meal. The staff was unhelpful and unprofessional. I will never be returning to this location, and quite frankly, I'll probably not be going to Whataburger in general. Staff were cussing and rolling their eyes. Loitering and chitchating while I stood a couple feet away the entire time.
