Excellent food and great service! I had the Thundercat chicken sandwich and it was sooooo good!! The fries were fried to perfection and the food comes in a neat box, super easy for transport! I'm looking forward to going back! Oh yeah! The prices are fantastic too!

I stopped in today to try the food and I was impressed! I ended up getting todays chicken special which was a cajun chicken philly w/ side of fries. The sandwich was tasty and the crinkle cut fries were seasoned and perfectly fried. Very reasonably priced, quick service, and friendly staff...I will be going back!

Stopped in for lunch and grabbed a buffalo chicken sandwich - it was excellent. The fries were seasoned well and the homemade cuse sauce is awesome for dipping.

Got the early bird special (egg bacon cheese bagel that comes with coffee and a hash brown) with extra hash browns. I went with my boyfriend and it was for a late breakfast so we wanted to share the bagel. The person at the register was so friendly and even offered to split the coffee into two cups. I said it’s ok that we’ll just share the cup but I loved the extra nice gesture. The egg is fluffy and thick, bacon is crispy and the bagel was nicely toasted. Definitely better than the hipster bagel place across the street. The hash brown is so crispy and hands down best hash brown I’ve ever had. Although I did a take out, the inside was clean and it’s a cute little place. Definitely will become my go to breakfast joint. Highly recommend!!

Just dropped into the cafe as we are from Texas, we didn’t know one thing about it. Had 4 tables inside with about 4 barstool, couple of tables outside. Cute little place. We could see why the tables aren’t needed as there are tons of working people who come in for carry outs. Now to the food…OMG!!!! The best of any I have ever eaten! We shared a burger and wished we had ordered more but was way enough for us. It came with h the best pretzels ever!!!! The owner was so polite and talked with his customers. It was just fantastic!!! I would recommend this time and time again!! Thank you thank you!!!

I was very impressed by Across the Hall Cafe. It's a no nonsense, old fashioned diner with a great breakfast and friendly service. It doesn't pretend to be a fancy place. It's perfect for those of us who want a simple straight forward breakfast.

Across The Hall Cafe has the best cheeseburgers. The portion size is huge and the bun in very tasty. The condiment set up is pretty impressive too; mustard and ketchup in packets and there are plenty of napkins. The staff is very friendly and you can watch Fox News while you dine in or wait for take out. I look forward to trying their other menu items. Have ordered lunch for takeout twice so far via their website and it's been a great experience so far. The online menu allows you to customize ingredients (e.g. no mayo) and food is ready on-time as promised. Sandwiches have been fresh, hot, tasty and filling. Prices are reasonable and for just a buck extra, it's a pretty decent helping of lightly-seasoned, crinkle-cut fries. If you're picking up takeout, remember to help yourself to utensils, ketchup and/or mustard packets from the to-go table; they don't automatically include them. (I applaud this effort to reduce waste and keep costs down; not everyone wants those extras.)

Downtown is back open! And there’s no better example of this than the recent opening of this exclusively family run diner. Based in the former Miss Syracuse Diner building, this team completely gutted and renovated the interior. Daily specials and all of the diner classics are available. I’m happy to have a new neighborhood diner to go to.

Had a great meal here. Have seen it many times going to Wolfs and decided to finally give it a try! Food came out quick and the guy working the front was super friendly!

An absolute five-star breakfast experience! Excellent, attentive, and friendly service that went above and beyond, making sure we were satisfied with every bit. Incredible food!! It's rare for me to finish an entire breakfast, as I'm not usually very hungry in the AM, but I ate every single bite! We did have to wait a little bit, but every item was made it order so it was absolutely worth the wait, and the attention to detail was noticed. The BLTE is amazing, and their tater tots are delicious, very salty and crispy. Other members of my party has the Broadway Breakfast Wrap and the Maple breakfast sandwich; both were thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere is very cool, a quaint place with a lot of charm. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Wow! Fabulous first time at this diner. Unassuming building with a no frills vibe is hiding the most delicious food and amazing service, which combined to make this morning's breakfast a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We got the Malone toast( 10 out of 10!) and the churro beignets which my daughter is still raving about 12 hours later. Can't express how friendly and accommodating the 2 men were who were working- spectacular service.

Something unassuming is nice. But letting the food be good, too, made it an awesome choice for our breakfast.

We were looking for a breakfast place in Syracuse, thankfully the other place’s recommended to us were booked way out so we came here, what you feel may be lacking in aesthetics this place more than makes up for with their food!!!! They cooked us up an order of churro beignets with caramel sauce, best thing I've eaten in a while!

Upon leaving class today I was greeted to a box of biscoff beignets. These were without a doubt the beignets ive ever had, and I grew up in the south. They were just perfect, not too sweet but still a delicious desert. A perfect mouthfeel. I cannot personally speak for the inside of the restaurant but to quote my mother who had been inside "it was great and the owner was super nice too, very cool guy" which dear reader you have my Local Guide guarantee that she is a trustworthy source.

What a wonderful hidden gem of a café. I stopped into town for a doctor’s appointment and came across this spot on Google, and I’m so glad I did. The service was quick, the ingredients were fresh and high quality, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our food came out promptly and tasted fantastic. The dessert selection was excellent, and we were even treated to a complimentary strawberry cheesecake, which was such a thoughtful touch. A truly great experience from start to finish—10/10.

Had an early bird special, which was about 7 dollars for a big breakfast sandwich, a hot coffee, and a hash brown. I got the sandwich with ham, and then I also ate the hash brown on the sandwich, which may explain why it was quite salty. But overall hard to complain for the value. Coffee is standard diner coffee, can be had black or otherwise. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes if you're going before work, too. I will come back!

Had a great burger from this place. Wife had a decent salad. We shared a good, sugary chocolate chip cookie. Only drawback: Stay away from their fries. Seemed to be just frozen fries with some salt and pepper thrown on them. No ketchup packets provided with the takeout; might be because of the shortage, though? Anyway, the main stuff on their menu is good and we'll be back.

Hashbrown patty was WAYYYY overcooked. Scrambled eggs were good, bagel had overdone spots on it. I was only one in the place and had to ask for more coffee when someone came out to clean table. Looks like a to go place with paper plates and plastic ware.

Three of us came at noon on a Monday. The first impression was very good as they were nice and the restaurant was cute. It was very busy since it was Eclipse Day and there were maybe 3-4 other parties that were also ordering food to go in a full restaurant. We waited more than 45 minutes for 2/3 burgers (which came out at different times) and then after more time waiting, they finally came out and told us they did not have enough burger for the last meal we ordered. I do not know why it took them THAT long to tell us. At this point, we had been the only ones left waiting for a while as they already served everyone who had ordered to-go after us way before us. They offered to refund us for the meal they ran out of but we decided to get something else they still had. They did not offer to refund us after that. It took another 25 minutes for the last meal to come out after that. We watched as people who had just come into the cafe ordered and then got their food before us. I have no idea what happened in the back but it was incredibly frustrating to see that we were the last ones to be served or considered. We tried to be understanding because we know it was Eclipse Day and busy but by the end, the cafe was empty and others were still being served before us. It really felt like some sort of discrimination at that point (we are Asian and were visiting one of our friends who just moved here) which was a shame it came to that. They came out with the food and said they were very sorry but that’s it. They still did not offer anything when we were obviously quite upset after waiting over an hour and ten minutes for our food while everyone else was being served over us. Some of the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure to experience which is such a shame because they were so nice at first. The food was mid and I barely wanted to eat it after. I really regret leaving a tip and we will be telling everyone not to visit this business.
