I loved every minute of being at taboo! The music was great, very loud- so if you’re not into a true day club type atmosphere, it may be a little bit too much for you. I really felt like I was eating phenomenal Michelin five star food at a club on the beach. 10/10 recommend for a really luxe, upscale experience.

We booked daybeds at Taboo for a bachelorette party and everything was perfect. The service was amazing (thank you Bruno, Paulina and Bernie!). Food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was on point. Absolutely worth every penny!

No place I would rather be in the world. Best beach club for sure, coming from someone who travelled the world in a search for the top beach clubs. No place like this one, no atmosphere like this one, premium experience and the overall impression is 20/10. Festive and party oriented, here you live the moment. The show and the effort they put in the entertainment is outstanding, someone who created this place really wanted it to be top and to be standing out. The food - the steak that comes with certificate, delicious sushi or cocktails that are to die for (not the taste only, but the consistency the looks and a real pulp) or shisha that is finally worth it, to the service that comes fast and puts the effort, I am speechless. I suggest booking cabanas as they are comfortable enough and close both to the beach and the pool area, also massage is right next to you If you feel like it, on the spot. Unvelieveable. When the day ends moving to the restaurant area is highly recommended. Wow wow wow

One of my most favorite places on earth. Taboo is a unique eating experience due to its location on the beach and it’s lively atmosphere. Me and my party of five reserve the table by the pool and enjoy great food great music, great service and great patronage. we were pleasantly welcomed when we arrive and brought to our table. We were immediately greeted by our server who would be working and handling us for the rest of the afternoon. The only thing that I could say bad about this place, is that the party had to end. I will definitely be back here and I advise everyone who visits Tulum to have the taboo experience. No other than you can compare in I guarantee you will not be dissatisfied.

We got here before the dinnertime rush so was able to get in without a reservation but I highly recommend making one. It was a nice birthday evening. It got super busy so there was a lot of waiting and sitting around. Staff was very pleasant. The portions are huge. Apps and salads can be reasonably split between 2-3ppl.

I come from a mass tourism destination in Europe, so I am well aware that scams exist, but this was on a completely different level. Once we heard that the beach table costs €100 per person, we chose the regular tables instead because we were not going to stay long anyway. We ended up paying €80 for one cheesecake, one tarama, and two non-alcoholic cocktails (180 ml each). However we were prepared for high prices since we had already seen the menu. But on top of that, there was an additional charge of 10, which cannot be justified as a coperto, as there were no tablecloths, and a normal coperto in Italy is around €4. The tip was not included. We tipped extra. Coffee was unavailable, we were told they were waiting for a delivery. When picking up our car, we were informed of an absurd €10 parking fee, even though we were customers of the venue. This was never mentioned in advance. For comparison, free street parking is available about 300 meters away. Guests are required to register with their name and nationality in order to use the venue, without any explanation of why this data is collected or how it is processed. I have traveled extensively and have been to Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Cuba, yet I have never experienced such a bold and aggressive scam anywhere else. The only positive aspects were the service and the fact that the food we had was actually good. As long as people are willing to pay for this kind of treatment, the practice will continue

visited taboo beach club twice. The admission is $100 for a day bed and it goes toward food and drinks. Beautiful beach. The food options were slim and the food was just ok. Drinks were pretty good. They had very nice entertainment including the saxophonist.

Went on a Sunday. Not a whole lot of vibes, or people in fact - it was pretty quiet which was disappointing given the price was the same as Saturday. Staff were very attentive, music was ok. Maybe Saturdays are better? You tell me :)

Bad Experience... The service staff was very nice unfortunately the food expediting was terrible. Party of 15 for birthday and the birthday entree which was only pasta was served 18 minutes after the table was served. Then another pasta dish was served 7 minutes after that... For someone having the birthday this sucked. The food quality is okay but not spectacular for the area... BEWARE OF THE WATER COST WHICH IS NOT DISCLOSED...small water evian water $7.78 each and they never asked if we wanted water or it has a cost. The soda cans are $5.27 each, cheaper than water. What did make sense is that the place was not busy only four tables when we arrived. Maybe this was a bad night... Let me or anyone that our party would never return... Our table was charged $217 in water.... But they did attempt to make things over with one free shot for everyone and comped the birthday boy meal, which he didn't eat.

I wish I could recommend this place—but alas, I’d choose an all-inclusive before coming back to Taboo. The food prices were fine, but the payment setup was… not. It’s $2,500 MXN to enter, with half counting as a cover charge (a steep ~$67 USD) and the other half credited toward food and drink. There were eight of us, and the staff encouraged us to “pool” our money for “faster service”—which I suspect was more about getting us to overspend than streamlining anything. Spoiler: we got hit with a huge bill at the end. Service was decent, but I imagine it would’ve been a lot more attentive had we ordered bottles. The receipt was another adventure—impossible to decipher as only the menu items were named, but the "shots and bonuses" were coded for the bar to understand, not the customer. The atmosphere itself was lovely (see photo attached), but it was hard to enjoy when I was offered marijuana, cocaine, bracelets, and clothing on the beach more often than I was offered food or drinks. Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend Taboo Tulum unless your goal is to drop bands on bottle service and bask in attention from very attractive staff (which they will charge you for) lol. That said, our server Mario was an absolute gem—kind, attentive, and clearly just doing his job within the rules of his employer. Mario, if you’re reading this… get out while you can. You deserve better.
