Food is delicious. But on a side note we paid $10.99 for poppers and the amount we were given was not worth the amount.

The barbecue , sauce was tremendously , spicy an good , the jalapeño corn bread was very tasty, I apologize for my fussing with my wife while at the drive threw window. The ribs , was tinder an very chewable. The potato salad, was OK. The pinto beans where off the hook . . . I demalished my plate. Tha ks for the food.

I had 3 meat combo (ribs, brisket, and jalapeño sausage). The rib was very good. I could taste the mesquite. The brisket had a great taste but just a little over done. The sausage was good. I had the cabbage chips and green beans. They both were on the cold side and not seasoned to my liking. I think they needed more seasoning. The banana pudding was very good. All in all, I like the bbq and would recommend people give them a try. I will buy here again.

I liked the brisket and sausage. The corn was pretty good too. The fries came out barely warm, but they were the kind that didn't NEED to be hot to be edible. The corn bread was a little dry, but I didn't add butter. Ask for the "hot" bbq sauce. It's better than the stuff on the table and not very hot.

We ordered 2 plates 3 meat plates. They were not good brisket cold and tough. They left out pickles, onions and cornbread. I called and had to go back to get missing items. It's very frustrating to get your order and it's missing food. We went to the one on Catclaw. Very disappointed and won't be back. I guess these days expecting hot, fresh food, and getting all your order is asking too much.

The food didn’t seem very fresh, lacked a bit of flavor, and the variety was limited. However, the atmosphere was peaceful and the service was good. Overall, it was a decent experience, though there’s definitely room for improvement in the food quality.

I just got my to go order for 2 wrong, I ordered loaded nachos and got fries instead, I asked how many pieces of bread comes with the plate and they told me 2 so I asked 1 more extra, we only got 1 instead of the 3, also no plastic utensils or napkins at all, I got over charged too, the ribs were kind of hard and brisket not that good.

Okay well let's just say the inside is really nice love the buckets for lights that's really nice. The smell when you go inside I so so good makes you hungry. The smells are 100% BBQ the waitress was really sweet and so attentive but we where the only ones there at that specific time. We had 2 (2 meat plates with 2 sides each) so we tried almost everything. Ribs ****(4) Chicken*****(5) Reg cornbread ****(4) Brisket **(2) was kinda hard and had no flavor Jalapeño Corn Bread *(1) no tast n hard Mac Pasta ***(3) didn't have flavor but wife liked it Beans ***(3) French fries ****(4) but it was a small tray Sausage ****(4) Jalapeño cream corn *(1) didn't taste the jalapeno

Ate here for the first time. Service was great. The food I think was not the best. Mac salad was dry. Cornbread was hard. No sweetness or flavor. Pulled pork was good. I feel for Texas bbq, this just wasn't the place. Service was fantastic and I loved the inside.

Visiting from out of town and wanted to try some TX BBQ. Most popular places aren’t open until Wednesdays so our choices were limited for Sunday night. I read reviews of this place and understood it wasn’t a 5 star joint but we thought we’d give it a try. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. I cook better bbq at home and I’m a weekend warrior. Brisket was stiff, dry, and tasted like unseasoned pot roast. Ribs were no different. Jalapeno sausage was great. They were out of most other menu items and couldn’t even deliver ranch to the table because we later found out they didn’t have that either. Then they forget to bring ketchup for someone’s chicken tenders which looked worse than frozen tenders from the grocer. Don’t spend your money here. The reviews don’t lie.

I was a part of a big part of about 12. Not much food was ordered yet it still took an hour and a half to get all the food. The food is decent, nothing too special as far as bbq goes. If you really like Texan barbecue or bar food I'm sure this place is good for you but overall my experience was good at best. 5/10. Prices are about average. No complaints really other than the super long wait and the quantity of food.

Two big gold stars for our server, she was awesome; I’m not really one to rate decor. The food: beside the cornbread, the sides are fantastic. I ordered the “brisket” since it’s in the name, so it had to be good right? WRONG, it was absolutely terrible, a huge waste of money and cow. It was like overcooked roast beef. This place should be called Betty Rose’s Little Roast Beef. The brisket is the worst thing on the menu, if it’s your first time here get the catfish or the ribs, they’re decent.

Just awful food and service. Won’t be back. Went through drive-thru. The employee frowned & looked at me crazy like I was strange because I was playing rap music and like he never seen richly melanated people before. The rap music was the clean version. It was old school 90s/2000s R&B/rap song, Mind blowin’ by the beautifully and talented old school female rapper, Smooth. The song has a really smooth groove to it, if you like good R&B/rap music. I respectfully turned the music down once I drove forward and I started ordering. He basically treated me like he didn’t care if I ever returned. No smile, greeting or anything customer friendly at all. Horrible/bad customer service. Just took my order and money. It was unsatisfactory/unacceptable! If you are a part of the military/veteran community, don’t go here. Stay away. The food didn’t taste good at all. It tasted like trash/garbage too. Wasn’t hot, fresh, and lacked flavor. It was straight up bland. It was just a waste of money and not good quality BBQ at all. Go to Jays BBQ where they will treat you like a customer regardless of who you are, and also give you a military discount. You don’t have to be a regular to get treated like customer. Get adjusted to diversity/variety in Abilene because you don’t seem to be accepting of what’s not the norm round these Abilene streets. PPL who look like me deserve to be treated with good quality customer service too. Maybe you want to keep the same customers coming to your business and certain ones away. My apologies for ever even patronizing and pulling up to your old school, outdated, unmodernized drive thru, Betty Rose. This is a true honest account of how I received your interaction with me. You didn’t thank me for coming, ask me to return or tell me to have a good day. But you damn sure took my money. I’m pretty sure this review doesn’t faze you. Whenever I happen to drive past your business, I never see anyone who even remotely looks like me sitting out in the front area. So it’s all good. Keep it that way if that best suits you. I’ll keep it moving forward to other places. Just wanted to shed some light on my real life experience with your drive through worker, who was an older male. I need not describe him any further because you already know who you got working the drive thru. He could even been the owner for all I know. But I digress. Hopefully, this honest review/feedback motivates you to be mindful of how you treat customers who are outside of your norm. I have absolutely no reason to give this place a second chance. I truly wish them well. I’m already convinced that they are unbothered by this review and it has no impact on their regular customer base. Probably don’t believe they did anything wrong. I’ve seen this place packed with lots of people eating out front on the patio. So obviously, some people are satisfied/content with the food and services received from this BBQ restaurant. The place smells great and has an awesome decor. Food is subpar, and it arrived cold, not even room temperature, just cold. Little to no flavor, cornbread was hard as a rock. Beans had a strange flavor, but serving food cold is not what I expected. Tea was good 👍
