All of their noodles are handmade every day... and that alone is worth the experience! Service is fast & friendly... the Ramen is SUPER yummy & starts at $12.95 for a BIG bowl. Highly recommend!
This is a really nice place, staff was friendly and informative. The menu is small but they do have very delicious dishes. We try the beef spicy noodles bowl that had just perfect amount of spicy, we got the chow Mein combo that came with beef, shrimp and chicken, it was awesome very flavourful. I definitely will come back.
I know it don't mean much but I'm from New York City and this is by far one of the top of the list of Sushi joints I've ever had. Their appetizers are phenomenal, and sushi is extremely fresh. Aside from that, I've only tried their wanton soup and general tso chicken, and it was all unbelievably fresh. Love it. This is my go-to spot
The soup dumplings are so ridiculous. Very, very good! Wow. They only come with pork and the broth is so tasty. I had no idea what to expect and I’m now obsessed. I want to eat here again tomorrow! We also had the spicy cucumber salad which we loved. So flavorful. Fantastic customer service, too. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.
I have been wanting to go here since I first saw the sign and today I did for the first. It was well worth the wait and will be going back often. I have been looking for a noodle bar since I moved to Abilene. There was a little wait to get in but it was well worth it. Brought my mom and we shared order of pork pot stickers and a crunchy roll. Both were amazing. Mom got the roasted noodle soup with shrimp and I got the chow main with shrimp. Amazing. Can't wait to go again, it's our new favorite place.
The Fun Noodle bar is great. It is small inside and the tables are fairly close. This isn't a place I would go for private conversations. But the atmosphere is fun and modern with an Asian flare, of course. The staff are all very friendly and good servers. To my knowledge, they make everything fresh there. So, your meals will come to your table and they're prepared and not all together. The food is awesome!! I have had three different sushi rolls, tried 6 different meals, and tried 5 different appetizers. Every I have had has been fantastic!
Absolutely delicious!! This is one of our new favorite places. We've had the Shrimp Fried Rice, Steamed Pork Dumplings, Roasted Noodle Soup with Shrimp, the Fire Volcano Roll, the Fantastic Roll, Pan Fried Sliced Noodle, and the Chow Mein... and everything is AMAZING! If you like your soup a little spicy, they will add roasted red pepper oil upon request for no extra charge. Very authentic and affordable.
Took my mom here to eat today and we both LOVED it. My mom won't stop talking about how juicy and flavorful her potstickers were, and my shumai was the same! The service was also very, very good and the interior is gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back here!
Best noodles in town also I love the spicy wontons & pork soup dumplings to go with my spicy beef noodles 🍜 😋
100% awesome food. The food is nice and hot when it comes out and taste great. You can also see them cooking and making noodles while you wait too. Honestly this is 1 of my favorite spots here because the food reminds of me when my parents and I were stationed over in Japan for 3.5 years. So I always like to go where when possible.
I'm from the east coast where asain cuisine is in abundance. I have a lot of experience with this style of food, and I have to say...this place is some of the best asain food I have ever had. Definitely in first place anywhere I've eaten in west Texas. Highly recommend!!!
It was delicious! My husband and I went for a dinner date. We got an appetizer, 2 basic sushi rolls, and 2 noodle soups, and a side of rice for our daughter for $50, so very reasonably priced. The noodles truly taste different. You can tell they are fresh. In addition, our daughter was enthralled by watching the men in the kitchen preparing fresh noodles and spinning the dough, which you can watch through a glass window. The service was genuine, and we were waited on promptly. I would definitely recommend this as a date night or just for a casual meal.
The food is amazing, and our waitress was very nice.
10/10 amazing attentive service. Food came out quickly. All food was incredible!!
The service was amazing! The waitresses were very sweet, they checked on us frequently, asked us if we were doing well, and were polite when my friend & I were burning our tongues (we got too excited and ate the dumplings seconds after she brought them to us XD). The food tasted heavenly, they were quick with service, and the atmosphere was calm yet exciting. The menu was easy to read as well. We adored our time there, and we have intentions to return the next time we’re visiting. @:)
I'd rate 10 stars if I could! Service was quick and very polite and courteous. Food was delicious and very well priced! Great variety! Yum!
The place is cozy, clean, and has fun art work on the walls. Staff moves quickly and is very friendly. I've never had to wait long for takeout and the food of course is delicious.
Food was amazing! My family and I had the soup dumplings and three sushi rolls, and mochi ice cream for desert. We all loved it. Service was great, the atmosphere was fun and interesting. Would highly recommend!
Yesterday was our first time in here and we were not disappointed. The food was so delicious and the staff were great. We had the pork potstickers and sesame chicken. It was fresh, hot, and had a great flavor. Will definitely be going back.
The food was great, the service was fast, and I fully enjoyed my time here. Will definitely be coming back whenever I can - thank you everyone!
Wow! This place is sooo good! Spicy edamame was amazing! Spicy beef noodles was perfect! Staff was very friendly, I love their vibe! It’s been like 8 years since I’ve been in Abilene, there wasn’t really any good Asian food in this town at that time. I’m a Americano Filipino, I need rice in my life and noodles 🍜 just got out of the gym and was craving some spicy broth on this gloomy Sunday evening, this hit the spot! Back in 2019, I used to go to this place in Albuquerque, New Mexico called Fun Noodles, it was one of the best noodle bars I’ve been too! They make their noodles from scratch! I’m thinking this might be the same owner. Either way, I’m a fan! I’ll be back here on a regular to try everything on the menu 😂
First time at this restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! Chicken fried rice***Chicken Pot Stickers and Deep fried Green Beans….. We’ve found our new go to!
As a Chinese who have a Chinese prickly taste on food this food is amazing is the best tasting Chinese food in town not the “American Chinese food” people get is actually quite amazing in this town actually didn’t expect that at all and the owner is very nice very friendly talkative guy so I think if you want find good Chinese food you won’t disappointed to find good quality fresh tasty food here !!
The food both tasted mainly amazing and looked appetizing. Me and my family enjoyed it; we all left full and satisfied. A few of the dishes were so-so, but most of them were great. Fun Noodle Bar has many flavorful foods and the staff treated me well. Was overall a great experience, and I plan on going there again sometime.
Hand pulled noodles with delicious ramen! Highly recommend the black garlic tonkonsu ramen but the other dishes look appetizing as well!
Moved to Abilene and was looking for authentic Asian noodles not Chinese noodles and this place mostly delivers. I’ve eaten here a few times with various dishes and have mostly been impressed. Service can be a little better. The atmosphere is also fine. Not bad, not bad prices and one of the only few places serving not as Americanized Asian dishes. Give it a try!
Where do I even start. I love East Asian and I can say now, I absolutely love Sup Noodle Bar. The flavors are on par with what to expect out of a pork tonkotsu Ramen. Coupled with the soup dumpling you get a balance of favors packing umami, sweat, sour, and salty (not over salty). I over eat at Ramen places, 1 noodle order should be enough. I went over board and ordered double. I’m coming back, regular noodle, double soup dumpling.
I highly recommend this restaurant! I believe that the staff, food and restaurant in general are all above par. I know I like to eat but this place makes me feel like enjoying as much as I can and I certainly do!! Above average in every area, I would recommend that you try this place out and see for your self how great it it. The street pancakes were one of my instant favorites, the potstickers fantastic, the spider roll and crab rangoons so delicious, and I just can't name everything so GO and find out! The food is really amazing, the people that work there are equally amazing. Great food, great people. I think that every time I go, I enjoy it more and the people will make you feel like you are so very, very welc9ome. Love the lighting - makes you want to buy that huge fixture lol! Open layout and great lighting, no hiding here, the chefs behind the glass wall are always busy but fun to watch when you go by.
Wow what a great place. 1st The staff is great. My glass was never empty. 2nd The food is great, the menu has items you can't get anywhere in Abilene. 3rd Everything tasted great, hot and flavorful. 4th This place is a must try for great food and exalent atmosphere! Everyone needs to come and try and see what your favorite dish is!!
This was our second trip back and everything was just as amazing as the first trip. This is definitely a gourmet noodle bar. So if you're looking for some amazing dishes then this is your spot. Perfect size inside to be considered cozy and the atmosphere is great and uplifting. You might think at first that it's a little pricey but, once you taste it you'll understand. After all it is gourmet food and very fulfilling portions as well. Guarantee you will leave full and smiling!!...
Sup Noodle Bar is hands down one of my favorite spots. The people are really nice, the service is excellent, and the food is always great. The Pad Thai is the best in town, no question about it. You can tell they care about quality and customer experience. Highly recommend!
I arrived the first time and had the Beef Noodle Soup which is my favorite dish enjoyed via many restaurants of the same cuisine. This soup is by far the best I've had! Keeping in mind I'm previously a full-time traveler. Many restaurants visited. If you're considering then stop, get up and go there. Now. Go! Why are you still reading this? Go...
The food was very delicious fresh and filled with flavor. I really like that you can choose your meat for each ramen. I opted for the beef and it was truly awesome nice servings of meat, mixed with some hand pulled noodles, welll worth it. We also tried the beef roll, which was really great too, if you like scallion pancakes, just picture the pancake a little thinner and wrapped around tender slices of beef.
Love love the wonton soup, ive tried everybodys wonton soup in the entire abilene. This is the best in town and nobody else have that broth so clean tasting, perfect when recovering from a cold or flu or for any day. . Everything is delicious, almost tried everything from the menu and all is very good.
We had avoided this place for a few years for a variety of reasons, but today we stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of items on the menu, the clean, pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, very short wait for our food, which was really good! We had the pad thai, spring rolls and General Tso's. We will definitely be coming back and trying other things. I wish I'd taken a pivoting of the spring rolls. So nicely presented.
This is our second time to try the food here and we absolutely love it. The service is amazing, super friendly and professional. You just can’t go wrong with noodles and soups and sushi. Plus, the little drinks are really, really good with all the different flavors like strawberry watermelon.. ext.. clean place with great atmosphere. we live about 45 minutes away and look forward to coming here when we are in town. Thank you so much for all the great service and wonderful food.. 👍
The food here is amazing! My partner got the takoyaki and it was nice and hot with big pieces of octopus! The ramen has hand made noodles which you can see the chefs in the back. The broth is so thick and flavorful! My partner had the black garlic and I had the original tonkatsu and I can say you can’t go wrong with either! 10/10
Incredible! We stopped here for lunch on our short road trip, and we absolutely loved it! We shared the spicy wontons, lobster sushi roll, and chansu hell ramen. The flavors were delicious, the service was impeccable, and the anime-inspired decor was lovely. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Abilene!
Went to lunch with family. The atmosphere is 5 star as well as the food. Between 3 of us we had dumplings, sushi, ramen and a beef wrap. ( don’t remember what it was called). Everything was excellent. The food is very Asian (not the American Asian food most places serve). You can watch pulled noodles being made that will be serve is your meals. Staff is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is spotless. We are Definitely coming back.
After eating in Japan for the last couple years this place reminds me of that trip, the atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable and the service is there and ready to work, but most importantly the food was outstanding while the menu only had few options for Ramen.
Really good food. Left the tails on the shrimp in soup and had to dig out. Still good. Recommended they remove and they said it's only the tail.
Fresh, tasty, and light food. We arrived before the dinner rush, which benefited our experience. It is a loud resturant: voices and music mixed with a constantly-ringing telephone (for pick-up orders) makes you not want to linger long. Other than that, friendly staff and delicious food. We will be back to try other menu items.
Very good food! Served promptly and piping hot and delicious with lots of choices on the menu. Ill definitely be back and I'll tell my friends how good it is!
These were the best Crab Ragoons that I have had, I think ever! Fresh and crispy outside and the perfect creamy filling. I forgot to take the picture once I started eating lol. I also had the Ramen Bowl with chicken, and that was very good. The noodles were a little thick for Ramen but nonetheless, they were still good and paired well all the fresh veggies and the broth. Next time, I will tell them to make it spicy to add a little more flavor to the broth. I would recommend this spot 😊
I had a great experience at The Fun Noodle Bar! I placed a mobile order for the chicken and shrimp fried rice along with the house egg rolls, and everything was ready hot and fresh within 10 to 15 minutes. The fried rice was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of tender chicken and juicy shrimp. The egg rolls were crispy, delicious, and made a great appetizer. The whole process was quick and convenient, and the food definitely didn’t disappoint. I’ll be ordering again soon!
Decent Chinese take out food, we just got the classic teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, tofu etc. recommend, especially if you order their normal menu (looks good from other reviews) was open on Christmas Eve so many thanks for saving our holiday cooking. They also open late so is a good option if you need food after hours.
Good experience overall. Fried rice was bland, definitely could've been more tasty. Orange chicken was good. Fried green beans were great with the ranch! My daughter liked her ramen miso soup for the most part. Crab rangoons were delicious! Spicy wonton and soup dumplings were a noooo for us!
I love their atmosphere, staff is friendly, place looks lovely. But, at times the broth is just warm, not hot, noodles can be a little doughy/sticky. The takoyaki every time I have gone has been almost liquid/severely under cooked in the middle and it's bummed me out. I love what they are doing, but I do feel like there could be improvements.
Anyone that raves about this ramen from this establishment is from Abilene, Texas and likely hasn’t been anywhere else in their life. There is better ramen out there and my experience has been in the northeast with the exception of a few small nameless spots with great ramen in Texas which are far and few. The other soups and stir fries here are top of the line. But I recommend not letting this be your first time trying restaurant style ramen, which in this case is one note and bland. Soup dumplings are a sloppy mess, also.
I wanted to love this place so badly. And I did. Until I got food poisoning 😭 The building is newly renovated. Super nice inside. Staff was great and food came out fast and hot. But unfortunately, I will not be back. It wasn't worth getting sick.
Fun Noodle is fine. We spent $98 for four people. We order sushi, rice, and noodles. The noodles are not traditional; instead, they are more like spaghetti (thick and a little overcooked). I was not impressed, but for the sake of trying new places, it is okay. The employees are very attentive and friendly. I will return to this place to try something different; I give the benefit of the doubt this time.
Attended on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. From the start, the service left much to be desired with multiple waiters coming up to us and all appearing to be rushing us. We ordered wontons for appetizer, the San Angelo sushi roll, orange chicken and white rice. The food was mediocre and each plate seemed to have something off in regards to taste. The restaurant gets points for the nice interior and you also receive your food quiet fast. Overall, this is a fast way place to grab a bite and please a craving but the food will not blow you away. For a better experience and delicious Asian food I recommend Masa Sushi in Abilene.
Food was pretty good but service was trash and servers were super rude. She would walk away as we were talking to her and had no sense of respect
Ordered doordash and new to the area - I got the combo chow mein. It was not very good and there was almost no meat at all. Like 3 shrimp a couple of mini pieces of chicken and one thin slice of beef. For $17 that is wild to me. I didn’t eat it. Spicy cucumbers aren’t spicy and too sweet. The potstickers were yummy though. The ramen was alright but the beef in it didn’t look great. Probably won’t be eating here again.
Overpriced for the portions. Ordered two sushi rolls a wonton soup and seaseme chicken. Cost me $80. The rice was good and the sushi taste decent but u would be better off getting sushi from H-E-B.
Bad service even though there was no one here. Bathrooms were also very gross. Stuff all over the toilet seat. Food was okay, not much flavor. Definitely not coming back.
I had a Uber eats order and I needed a straw and everybody had an attitude asking me why ! Mind you I had just bought food from them … no the Uber eats order didn’t need a straw but I did … NASTY ATTITUDE AND RACISM BEING PORTRAYED! WILL NOT BE BACK !
Called in and ordered food. They messed it up. fine, we all make mistakes. I was very polite and just asked if they could re-make it and I would bring them the messed up order back. As I had someone pick it up. They refused to re-make the messed up food and wanted to charge me for another portion. Its noodles and bottom barrel meat. Its probably 2.00 landed cost for them that they charge 10-15.00 for not like this was a $100 steak I was asking them to remake. Sad, I'll microwave some ramen before I ever go back.
I ordered an online through Doordash pick-up, when arrived to pick up and staffs said someone already pick it up for delivery. I asked them to re.make the food or refund and they refused to resolved neither way. They supposed to check order on phone with customers for pick up or delivery drivers to make sure it's the right one, but i guess not. I ended u going home with no food. I called Doordash afterward and they refund my money. Definitely not recommended this place!
The foods there are just amazing! I’m sure that you will return for second time. The place is pretty clean and comfortable! But! There is a waitress, the younger one.Im sorry but she can’t do her job well. She’s being so mean to guests. I’m never coming back again!
Fun noodle bar on southwest drive used to be an amazing place to eat. Y9u could watch them through the window make your noodles from scratch but now no longer do that. the quality of the food now is trash. I can say with 90% confidence they use freeze ramen kits for the fact our noodles were cold and mushed together
I been going here a while and always get the same dish. It was decent food but this time it was disgusting. It tasted like they cooked it right after they cleaned the wok it has a metal taste to it and I cannot eat it. I called and spoke with Antonia “ which may not be her real name I don’t know but she said she couldn’t do anything about the bad food no refund or remake. She basically didn’t care if the customer has bad food or not as long as they get paid. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!
It was really really bad. We both got the miso ramen, I got pork and my husband got beef and chicken. There was no flavor at all. The noodles were mushy. It literally tasted like they were cooked in water with no added seasonings or broth. The service was not great. No hello when we walked in, didn’t see our server most of the time. It was weirdly quiet and awkward inside with only one other table in the restaurant. My 6 year old son got miso ramen with just noodles and even he said they had no flavor. We took them home and tried to add more flavor ourselves and it didn’t fix the horrendous noodle situation. Won’t be returning. There’s also no kids menu.
