Our family of 6 had the privilege of dining at Miguel’s after a long day of traveling. What an incredible experience we had. Our server Alex is an outstanding server. Very knowledgeable and patient as we’ve never dined here before. We had ample amount of questions and he explained and catered to our requests. The staff was very friendly and the assistant making tortillas showed our teenagers how they’re made. Our meals were nothing like we’ve ever had before and as we travel, this place is top of the chart for unique and delcious flavor of the meals we ordered. Thank you and we will most certainly be returning when we travel through.
Matthew D was the best waiter I've had since I moved to Abilene. Savannah was cool too.
Anissa was awesome. She was attentive and adjusted the lights for us upon request. She made sure we felt like we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. It’s hard to find great service.. however ask for Anissa and she will deliver!!! 10/10!!!
The food was good and so was the service. I had combination fajitas of chicken and beef with an added 4 shrimp. The shrimp are $1 ea. But shrimp fajitas are awesome! The restaurant was not crowded at 1pm on a Tuesday. Based on this single experience alone, I would recommend the restaurant and go back.
Awesome patio that welcomed dogs. Great food too!
I really enjoyed the cheese rellenos! The steamed veggies had the perfect crunch. The grilled fish tacos were good, too my husband said. And there were 8 small sopapillas on the dessert order, nicely done and served with a little cup of honey. Delicious!
We had a great small gathering to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the McMurry men's national championship track team and their induction into the universities hall of honor. The private room we had was great. Drinks and appetizers were enjoyed by all. Many of the guests were from out of town and had good things to say about the restaurant. Thanks for capping off a wonderful day of celebration and reminiscing.
I have been here twice now with my husband and we absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and the service is always awesome. I can’t remember our first waitresses name but she was so nice and explained everything to us and gave us great recommendations and this last time X was our waitress and she was so sweet and a great waitress. We will definitely be back soon.
Jay was an awesome waiter and extremely attentive and courteous. Excellent service 11/10
5 Stars – Eric Made the Day! From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we knew we were in for a great meal—but what we didn’t expect was how much better our experience would be, thanks to our server, Eric. Eric was an absolute standout. He was warm, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he does—which made all the difference. He managed to strike that perfect balance of being professional and personable, and by the end of the evening, we were all saying, “Can we request Eric next time?” The food was fantastic, but Eric’s service elevated the entire experience. If you're dining here, do yourself a favor and ask for him by name. He’s a gem.
Cold beer, great guac, and an excellent waiter…what more could anyone want? Eric was super friendly, and fun!! He brought everything quickly, and didn’t mind that we weren’t going to order a meal! I just popped in for a snack, and their queso Blanco and guacamole topped with black lava salt, really hit the spot. Their beer was ice cold and perfect! I didn’t order it this time, but you should really try their brisket taquitos or their BBQ chicken mexican pizza. SOOOOO good.
Serving sizes were relatively small for how much you’re paying. Regardless, Ben was fantastic. Very attentive and kind!
The food was great. Both of my grandsons, loved the chips and salsa. Went with my family and we really had a great time . The food was out quickly and the server was great. Hope to go back when we visit Texas again.
Our server was so sweet, I wish I had remembered her name. Very helpful when we told her it was our first time there. The chip and salsa were amazing. I got a house frozen margarita, delicious and strong!! The food was great.
We come to Miguel’s every Saturday night, sit in the same section, with the best waiter in town, Andrew! The food is awesome! Andrew is the best!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miguel’s Tex-Mex, and I must say, the experience was excellent. The food was delicious, but what truly made the experience stand out was the excellent service. Our waitress, Jess V was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. She was attentive without being overbearing and offered helpful recommendations when we were deciding what to order. A huge thank you to her for making the evening so memorable. Highly recommend Miguel’s, and definitely ask for Jess V. if you're looking for the best service in town!
It was the only restaurant near our traveling route that allows dogs, they have a patio and let you walk in with your dog. The decorations were great. They have 2 fountains that kept our children entertained and throwing coins in eschange of wishes. The food was great! Loved it 😊
Freshest, tastiest food I have ever had. I love everything on the menu so it is hard to say which is my favorite. The great thing is there is so much to choose from so if you aren't in the mood for Mex Tex, you can have shrimp or salmon. Did I mention the sweet potato pie??? Delicious! Wonderful atmosphere and we have a different experience every time we go. The outdoors is very nice to dine but hard to choose from the indoor patio bar.
Now this is a place anyone can't stand behind and say, "That's a damn good table fixin' ratthar!" Their table salsa is different and good. The queso is delishioso! I had the Birria Taco's with the corn relish and avacado slices with black salt sprinkled on top. That was really good. The margarita was smashing and Jay the bartender\waitperson was awesome as well. Great place. I will be going back.
We made our first trip to Miguel's on Tuesday and were very impressed! The food was wonderful! We had the the guacamole for an appetizer, followed by shrimp fajitas for me and brisket nachos for my girlfriend, all of which was wonderful. Our server, Chase, was excellent as well. Thanks for a great dinner!
From Arizona, Great service to start with, all the food was fantastic and had a great flavor. The salsas were great. Even had the spicy was perfect and fresh. The queso was also very tasty. The margaritas were also very good. Great Mexican looking atmosphere. Had a great experience. The price was not bad at all, my wife and I picked up the tab for four people. If you haven't tried this place your missing out on some great food.
The building and decor was pleasing to the eye. Then the smells of all the food hit me when I walked in the door which excited my taste buds. A very friendly waitress answered hi by questions and walked us through the menu. Our selections met our expectations. Yummy! My enchiladas were delicious. The Mexican fried rice was nicely done. Hubby devoured his and we shared a hot brownie with be a little ice cream.
Great service, food, and atmosphere. Not the typical Tex-Mex. The portions are big, but the prices are reasonable. Addendum: We celebrated my mother's 90th last night. There were 15 of us. Steven, our waiter, was so efficient while also serving 3 other large parties. Thank you for your great service, food, and many servers to assist. 💜💜💜
So delicious I stopped here twice in 3 days. The atmosphere is very groovy, quite like a nightclub in the bar/lounge, and yet very relaxing as well. Highly recommend their Navajo (puffy) tacos. Not only are they delicious, crunchy, and filling, but they are also celiac friendly. The margarita is on point, more fresh and enjoyable than many premade counterparts. 10 outta 10, do recommend.
The atmosphere was great the second we walked in. Friendly staff and quick service. The margaritas were delicious, the salsa was great, the food was really good too. I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the area. The food portions aren’t massive, so you don’t leave feeling stuffed which I can appreciate.
Service was friendly and fast. We enjoyed everything we ordered. El Miguel was delicious...two brisket tacos with a cheese enchilada, beans and rice. Husband had Camarones Brochette (shrimp and jalapeno wrapped with bacon), papas fritas con queso, and beans. Kids had chicken tenders with fries, cheese quesadilla with beans. The queso (white cheese) was just right. Guacamole didn't taste freshly homemade but it was still good. The rice was not good, it had a weird spice, and the refried beans were "meh" but everything else was pretty good!
The best Tex-Mex dining spot for Abilene I've found so far. A well designed and friendly atmosphere. Gives one a feeling of being at a Fiesta! The customer service was top notch!!! We started with a sampler. Every appetizer on it was a flavor adventure. I cannot explain how good the jalapeño bacon corn bites were. Omg! I got the unos plate. It was out of this world good. I wanted the chubby chimi, but I wanted a plate with selection. The atmosphere is a 10! All in all a wonderful experience! Can't wait to go back!
Ryan’s the best. First time serving us and by far will request him every time we go back. Kind, funny and ontop of our order. Was so kid friendly also!!! He deserves good things !!!
My mom and I stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. Our server, Yaya, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the restaurant and surrounding area. I tried their new birria tacos. They were so delicious and comes with consume, beans and rice. I highly recommend this dish, it is a little different than taco truck style, be ready to pick them up and get a little messy. My mother got the beef taco and cheese enchilada plate with beans and rice, and enjoyed it as well. This was the biggest crispy taco I've ever seen. The atmosphere was very authentic, fun, and enjoyable. They have indoor table or booth and outdoor patio seating. Handicap accessible entrance seating and very clean accessible bathrooms. There is more than ample seating and I can't imagine there would be much of a wait time for a table, but I went for lunch and was sat immediately and served chips, queso, and some of the best salsa. I will recommend this place to everyone and I will be back.
The food is very much “Tex-mex” however customer service was 10/10 Brendia was amazing and very attentive to us! She made great recommendations to us! We are here on a small trip and she was amazing! We had a small issue but the shift manager I believe was quick to fix the issue and make it right! If we’re ever back here we will visit Miguel’s again… because their customer service was immaculate!
Miguel’s never disappoints! The food was spot-on, and LeAnn gave us five-star service with a smile. Great atmosphere, great people and great meal.
Wow!! I am so happy to share this incredible experience. First so much praise is needed for our amazing server, Yasmin and the manager (I wish I got their name). To start, we were traveling with 2 large dogs and the restaurant was kind enough to let us sit outside even though we were the only table outside. After all, it is winter in Texas at night, even if it’s 70 degrees outside. For other dog owners, there is a gate to the outside dining that makes it very easy to bring the pups directly to the table from your car instead of through the indoor dining area. Our server, Yasmin immediately came to take our drinks order and we ordered appetizers. Everything was ready pretty fast and Yasmin even came to check on us before the appetizers were ready. We ordered the guacamole, queso, and then brisket tips and combo enchiladas for our meals. Again the food was served in a very timely manner and Yasmin checked on us many times. I was prepared to kind of be forgotten about being a lone table outside and quite a bit area from the rest of her tables but Yasmin truly went above and beyond. She is one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. The food is incredible and I cannot recommend it enough. Yasmin and the kitchen staff were super accommodating with our weird requests and unique changes to the menu items. The restaurant environment was clean and really nice and fun to be in. Yasmin had a very positive attitude the entire night and she made Miguel’s a go to spot for us and we can’t wait to return. We did get a chance to talk to the manager about how amazing the service was and they were incredibly kind to bring a brisket treat out for each of our dogs. Again, I really cannot recommend this place enough. If you are a local or just passing through Miguel’s should be on your destination list.
Amazing house margarita on the rocks - they use tequila-infused orange peel! Spinach, mushroom and avocado enchiladas w/ tomatillo sauce were out of this world. And the brisket taco was darn tasty too. Nice cheesy quesadillas. Service was super friendly and attentive. Nicely decorated place with a cool outdoor area. Will be back!
This was my first time at Miguel's. I had the chicken fried relleno with chicken. Omg, it was soooo good! The batter was like chicken fry! Crispy and delicious. Service was quick and the server was friendly. If you are in Abilene give it a try.
Absolutely love Miguel's! We went last night. We ordered the chicken enchiladas with cream sauce. For my sides I like sliced avocados with black salt sprinkled on them There chips are thin and crispy but strong enough to scoop up the Blanco cheese sauce! Our waitress was great! Tea glass always refilled!
I’ve been coming to Miguel’s Restaurant for quite some time now, and every visit with Kaci as our server is truly exceptional. Her customer service skills are top-tier and absolutely deserve to be recognized and rewarded. Kaci is warm, attentive, and consistently goes above and beyond to make each dining experience memorable. She not only provides excellent service but also creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel valued as a guest. She remembers returning customers, checks in at the perfect times, and balances professionalism with genuine friendliness—something that’s rare to find. Because of Kaci, our meals at Miguel’s are always enjoyable, and we always look forward to coming back. She is a true asset to the restaurant, and her dedication to great customer service should not go unnoticed. Highly recommend asking for Kaci—you’ll be taken care of from start to finish!
This is one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots for a fun night out! The happy hour is fantastic, with great drink specials and some of the best margaritas in town — perfectly balanced and super refreshing. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great place to meet friends or unwind after a long day. The food always comes out fresh, full of flavor, and exactly what you want when you’re craving classic Tex-Mex. Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff really makes you feel taken care of. Definitely a go-to place whenever I’m in the mood for good vibes, good food, and amazing margaritas.
Interesting place. The restaurant was really nice. It was clean, loved the decorations, and the staff were all kind. The red and green salsas were so delicious! They had a sour cream type sauce that was a new experience. I liked it a lot! It was about 50/50 who did and didn’t at our table. The queso was ok. Not what I was expecting but it was tasty. The puffy tacos and taquitos were different. They were most soft and not the crunchy we were anticipating. Other than that our waiter was awesome! I can’t remember his name but he was great.
I love Miguel's atmosphere. It has beautiful Mexican decor. The waitstaff were great. We had a large group and they handled it wonderfully. My food had a sour taste and they replaced it quickly. Their drinks were great and after the first round, came pretty quickly. Our visit was a small wedding reception of about 22 adults plus kids and their accommodations were fantastic. On the way in, I noticed some small intimate booths with beautiful hanging lamps that were dimmer than the rest of the restaurant and I think it would be a romantic spot for date night!
Kora our server made the entire experience worthwhile. She was busy but always had her eyes and attentions on us. The atmosphere was great and o liked the decor. The red and green salsas were great and personally loved sour cream sauce. We enjoyed our food and will be going back.
We stopped in at Miguel’s and were lucky enough to have LeAnn as our server. The brisket tips were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding! LeAnn took exceptional care of us…attentive, friendly, and perfectly balanced. Everything about our visit was top-notch!
Go see Rayn at Miguel's he is fantastic! The wait staff is friendly and the food wonderful.

The bacon wrapped shrimp is amazing! Highly recommend! This was my first time to eat here, and we sat in the bar. no wait! It was quiet so we could talk easily and enjoy the time together.

This is a "decent" tex-mex restaurant. However, their frozen margaritas are a miss for me. Too tart with too much, not so smooth tequ-ill-ya! 🤣🤢 The food has some nice flavors and I enjoyed the various tortilla textures in the sampler appetizer. Try their vede salsa, it has a nice bright flavor with a small kick and most don't know they have it. 😎😉 The restaurant layout feels a bit dark and shrouded, and the bar doesn't feel service-to-customer friendly. Sorry everyone, I'm kinda newb with remembering to take a pic of my main meal. I'll get better! 😁
My own filoid and experience was exemplary, and the problems my party encountered were quickly addressed by our waitress Savannah, who was simply AMAZING.
Overall this was a good experience. A group of 5 of us went and we collectively agreed it was okay, not great. The food was very confusing. It had hints and flavors of Asian cuisine. The rice tasted of soy sauce as if it was Asian style fried rice. The flautas also had egg roll wrapping instead of tortillas. It was a very confusing experience as far as the food went. The restaurant itself and the decor was very nice and the patio looked cool. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive to us. I would say Abilene has far better Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food but overall it was a good time.
Celebrating my Son’s birthday and this is one of his favorite places to eat. Food was great! Love the corn tomatillo. Enchiladas and refried beans were spot on. I was told this was the best place for margaritas. My Son got the spicy pineapple. I took a sip that was really good too hot for me but good. I got a strawberry margarita and was not impressed. My daughter-in-law got the agave and she said her margarita did not taste good either. a friend of the family got the prickly pear And that was awesome! Definitely will drink that next time. We were in the fiesta room. There were three or four birthdays, and everybody got involved with the clapping and singing for each table. It was a lot of fun. The staff was wonderful very helpful. Food was brought out quickly. all in all a great time. I only got one photo. sorry! I got side-tracked. Update… one of my neighbors and I came for lunch today and we got the enchilada plate with beans and I got the sweet corn tomatillo delicious she got enchiladas and rice and then we shared a dessert Mexican fried bread pudding . it was covered with a big ball of vanilla ice cream & covered in caramel syrup. oh my gosh, it was delicious. Some people had another table wanted to know if we would share. 😂 We couldn’t finish it between the two of us.

We visited here while traveling thru and it was good. I think that the service was OK, the thing that could be improved on was then checking up on us. We didn't get some of our order and it took a long time to find someone who could help. Cute dining area.
It’s a really nice place inside, however there’s a really stale smell inside similar to a dive bar. The food was decent but we thought it was greasy all around. I will say, there’s lots of potentially here!
Locals recommended this place and it was okay. The service was amazing but the food was very bland and had no flavor at all. I had the chicken enchiladas dinner with rice and beans. The queso dip and chips was the best part of the meal and the only thing that had flavor. I wanted to love this spot because the restaurant is very nice, clean, and everyone was so friendly, but the food fell short.
Small food portions on some dishes. It took 15 minutes to get my overpriced Mojito! I made the mistake of assuming it would be made correctly because this was a Mexican restaurant... I drank it all hoping to finally taste the alcohol lol.. I never did and the taste was blan to say the least. I don't understand why the server who takes the order isn't the one who brings it out or present when its delivered? The server was pleasant and the person who brought the order was also nice. I don't understand the limited days and hours for the outside patio use, especially when the inside is dark, sometimes daylight is nice. I had a avocado shrimp salad. I couldn't believe shrimp were not whole!?! They had been sliced in half to appear to be more than they were. Very cheap move, overpriced for meal. My daughter greatly enjoyed her meal though and that made me happy. Dessert was the best part of my meal 😋
You have to take the Mex out of the name. I am not sure why they print the pepper by the name and call it spicy. NO SPICE AT ALL!! Food was good, but it's not Mexican food. The bacon wrap shrimp was burnt to a crisp. And i believe the beans were straight from a can. Wife did like the pineapple margarita.
Stopped into Miguel's Mexican restaurant today. Pretty packed but still had plenty of seating. Good was very flavorful and plentiful. Service was good but our waitress had too many tables to cover. So we didn't get ample attention. I ordered a Pina colada which was really tasty! Ordered another and it never came. When I asked the waitress if she forgot about my drink she said she checked and the bartenders hadn't made it yet. Waited, she passed by again.. And again.. And again.... then towards the end of the meal she said she couldn't bring my drink because the bartenders were making it. Still don't understand why!?! But I was already leaving. I asked for our ticket and headed out. Overall I would say this visit was probably about a ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Still mad about my Pina colada! 😠 #foodielife #abilenetx #pinacolada
I’ve always loved this restaurant and make a habit to visit each time I’m in town. This round; extremely disappointed. Ordered queso (small) and nachos. By small; I did not think they would bring single serve for 6.95. Nachos were slim on chicken; which you pay extra for. Service was attentive and decor always makes me happy. Some things shouldn’t change.
Our waitress was super attentive and overall fantastic. Now to the food. Chips, salsa, queso, guacamole and pork rinds were fantastic! Unfortunately, that did not transfer to the main course. I ordered shrimp brochette with street corn and steamed veggies. The waitress told me it came with 8 shrimp but only came with 6. That's ok because it tasted like it was fried in old grease or dirty mop water. I've been in the streets on Mexico many many times and I have never had it served iced cold but that's how they do it here. That should told to guests beforehand. The steamed vegetables were good.
I stopped by this Mexican restaurant the other day for a quick bite. The atmosphere was fine—nothing too special, but not bad either. I decided to try the jalapeño poppers and the quesadillas. The jalapeño poppers were actually really delicious—crispy on the outside with a nice cheesy kick inside. They definitely stood out as the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the quesadillas were just okay. They weren’t terrible, but they didn’t have much flavor and the cheese felt a bit bland. Service was decent, and prices were fair. Overall, not a bad place, but nothing that left a lasting impression. Might come back if I’m in the area again, mostly for those poppers.
I’ve been to this restaurant three times. The first visit was great, with tasty food and a pleasant experience. However, the second and third visits were disappointing. The quality of the food declined, and on my third visit, the food even arrived cold. The waiters were consistently nice and attentive, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the host was always cold and off-putting, which affected the overall atmosphere. I hope they improve these issues because the potential is definitely there.
I love coming here when we drive through. The queso and drinks are always my favorite. However, this time around, the food was disappointing. We ordered a sampler and almost everything on it was sweet or drizzled with something sweet. Sweet thai chili drizzle on chicken flautas? Even the salsa and pickled jalapeños were sweet. It didnt make any sense for a tex mex joint. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning at all. Super bummed, but hopefully it was just a fluke. The service was great, as always. I just hope the food quality improves.
It’s such a lovely restaurant and the enchiladas and margarita were great in flavor. But I think they might be understaffed for a Saturday. The Ticket times are terrible. Mine was at least 18 minutes for basic enchiladas. The food runner brought it and it was just ugly. I think it sat a bit. My server was very busy in the bar and she was friendly, but she didn’t have enough time to make drinks and serve food. A more upscale Tex Mex should have prettier food. I took a few bites before I took the photo (like I said it tastes ok). The Salsa is very peppery, which I think might be a smart move because it sells queso blanco. But I don’t care for either. I might give them another try because it’s a lovely restaurant, despite the overpriced unphotogenic food.

Way over rated in my book. Food was bland, as for getting a drink from the bar was a long wait just for a beer.
Coming from Tucson I wasn’t expecting much with Tex-Mex… we sat ourselves because nobody was at the front to seat anyone. Jalapeño poppers and salsa were the only things we liked… husband had the trio enchiladas & I had the sampler appetizer. $20 for three tacos seems a bit outrageous.. we went at happy hour and ordered margs asked if the prickly pear was apart of it server assured it was… it was not. Drinks were good though, can’t complain there. Overall not a huge fan unfortunately.
It seemed to have been short staffed. The waitress was very courteous but it took too long to get drinks and the food was a little overcooked.
The interior decorator of the restaurant was awesome, great vibe. However, the salad was way over portioned and the ground beef was COLD, major disappointment; looked like a landslide and had soooo much shredded cheddar cheese, which is not a staple in Mexican cuisine. The salad did not include a side portion of your cream, either. As for the Tres Leches dessert, I was disappointed (again) to see that the strawberry placed on top of the dessert was a thawed out (frozen) strawberry and the pieces of pineapple around the cake piece were obviously canned. The cake itself was dry for this particular style of cake dessert. What could have passed as a mediocre tasting piece of Tres Leches was a sad ending to my meal. I beg the management to make a trip to Miami, Florida and try a real Cuban Tres Leches. As for my frozen Margarita...PLEASE rim the entire glass rather than just a small section, I ran out of salt less than halfway through my cocktail 🤦♀️. To end in a positive note, our waitress was very polite and attentive, and our appetizer of Question dip with chips were delicious. I wouldn't order a salad from here or dessert, but would definitely return to have another Margarita.
Not authentic anything. I ordered beef fajita nachos. They gave me an extra bag of nachos, for what? idk. The hot sauce was lacking as well as everything else that they threw on them nachos. Sub par. No chema cuh!
Food is over priced. Dinner for 2 drinks app and meal was 90 bucks. (Over 100 with tip) I don't mind paying for food when it's worth the price bit this is not. As you can see by the picture of my entree it was served cold. I got the queso fries on a whim expecting some cool kind cheese fries instead it was fries with a cold cup of queso. The steak was bland and the only flavor came from the bell peppers served with it. I really want to like this place but the price and doesn't equate to the quality of food. I'll go to Oscar's and get the same quality for half the price or go to Abuelo's for higher quality at the same price.
Went today for lunch and from the get go, the waitress who's section I was seated in was audibly complaining about being triple sat. Making comments with an annoyed attitude to the table in front of me like "I have to go get the chips for this other table" and a comment to another table about how they just triple sat her, giving the hostess the side eye when I was seated. I told her "if y'all don't want to serve me, I can go elsewhere" and she quickly contradicted her statements. I told her I understand being busy and I'm not in a hurry to which she begins to tell me about how she ordered her own food from the kitchen and now it's probably getting cold. I have never experienced this here. Also, my steak fajitas were cold as well as my rice and beans so I'm not sure if it sat up there ready or not since the waitress told me she had been in the back eating. Steak was overcooked and flat out gross to chew. I still tipped generously and will be back but I'll avoid a certain waitress.
Went to Miguel's this afternoon, party of 1. Was seated promptly and my server was quick to take my order. Asada with an enchilada. I asked for my steak to be blue rare and my enchilada to be the avocado mushroom. Took quite a while to get food, and when it arrived the steak was severely overcooked. Server brought the manager who offered a quick replacement. For sides I had the refried beans and tomatillo corn. The replacement steak came out quickly and was cooked much more to my liking although it was soaked in cooking oil - as seems to be their way. This is my third time trying Miguel's, and I do appreciate the manager trying to fix it - but it's just not for me. The first time, the service was atrocious. I don't recall the food because it was nothing like what we ordered. The second time, the service was much better - the food just seemed to be lacking. Everything overcooked (or left on hot plates in the warmer for far too long) and generally tasteless. Today - the very obvious mistakes. As well as the beans taste canned, the corn was dry (maybe it's supposed to be? First time ordering). Again, kudos to the manager for making an attempt Third time - will be the last
I was not happy with my experience. There was something floating in my water. Ordered chicken fajitas. Chicken was very dry. Beans came out cold, I told the food runner she ignored me at first. I handed them to her and she said, “ok” took them back and still brought back cold beans. Server never asked how food was. The portion of guacamole was only a quarter size. After paying $23 expected enough for at least 3 fajitas. I won’t be back.
Mediocre at best, ordered one of their house specials the bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimp was overdone and the bacon hard, only ate a couple as they really had no flavor. Our rice was also hard and either dried out or undercooked. Our server was polite but her helper had no idea where orders went and our food almost went to another table. Only positive is the outdoor seating was nice and the music not too loud. Overall we were disappointed.
I am a lover of Chile rellenos and I am usually satisfied with it when I order one...but Not this time. It was not does in egg...it was deep fried like a piece of chicken with a HARD crusty batter. It was the worst Chile relleno I've ever had. The tortillas were ok. The decor is beautiful!! We sat in a private area beautifully decorated. The food was ok. The sopapilla cheesecake was enjoyed by my whole family. They loved it.

We walked in at 9:30 on Saturday October 12, stood there for at least 4 minutes as various staff saw us. No one offered to seat us or even acknowledge we were there. No hostess visible. Finally as …
The service was awesome, but the food was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t even eat the food; the chicken enchilada tasted like the chicken had gone bad. The tacos and chimi were soggy and definitely not fresh.
Fajitas came out looking microwaved and cold, crunchy taco shells came out soggy and crushed. And worst of all, the flautas were covered in SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE. Our waiter was inattentive, we sat for 30 minutes with empty glasses. From the time our orders were taken to the end of our meal, we saw him hit every table but ours, multiple times, while he stopped by ours only to deliver the check. Don’t waste your money here.
Food is nasty. Ordered online for curbside called to tell them I was there no one came out so I went in, two employees in the takeout area and my food was just sitting there , it was cold and the flavor was nasty, the flautas are like egg rolls and not good. The beans taste like a grocery store can, the rice is from a box and the salsa is just all kind of weird flavors.
The jalapeño poppers were the only thing that we enjoyed. Matt, the server was very good. The food was bland and they call this place Mex-Tex! It’s for gringos only, (no disrespect) Just being honest! Taco Bell is better than this place. (go figure) Stay away from the Flautas and the Chubby brisket Chimi, very bland and not Authentic at all. They should be ashamed to call this place a Mex-Tex restaurant.
