Cotton patch recently added a bacon wrapped filet to their menu for $16.95. We've had it several times and couldn't be happier with the the meal. Its been cooked to our request each time. Baked potatoes are also better than "real" steakhouses. If you really want a bargain go on a Tuesday when 2 steaks are only $22.00!!!!! I hope they keep this on the menu

Awesome comfort food and friendly staff. I had the Brisket Queso and the Chicken Fried Steak. The Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce that comes with the queso is sweet, but pairs well with the spicy queso flavor. The Chicken Fried Steak was almost the size as the plate and was tender with good flavor.

Somehow our order with doordash and the store was cancelled but, the store made sure we had our order. The manager, Tracey was so super sweet, she made sure to personally delivered our order to us. This meant a whole lot to us, because I just had surgery and she didn't even know that she did it because it was the right thing to do. You just don't find that type of service anymore and it is nice to see someone provide that. The food was perfect! We will be back!

My husband and I just got home from eating at Cotton Patch Cafe in Abilene- We started w the chicken fried bacon- unreal- ridiculously delicious- my husband had the most tender chicken fried steak I have ever seen w delicious mashed potatoes and well seasoned black-eye peas. He ordered a side salad that was much larger than expected. I ordered chicken and dumplings that taste better than my own, but what surprised us was the funnel cake fries, it was one of my sides, but became our dessert, I never could eat my other side and hardly any of the dumplings after eating their fresh rolls, so needless to say we brought food home. Our serves was a very pleasant young lady that is good at her job and evidently enjoyed it- Hats off to Cotton Patch Cafe!

We went on Veteran’s Day 2022 and it was extremely busy. The staff was working their tails off, doing any excellent job of seating and serving the customers quickly and efficiently. Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. The table they set up to honor our veterans was beautiful and a very considerate and respectful gesture.

At the Davis Blvd. location in NRH. Stephanie has turned this place around. I was about to never go back again, even though I love the food, but, dang, too many mishaps. (I always do to-go orders,) and they were consistently wrong and missing things. Not now! She has made everything WAY better. Plus, she is the kindest, genuine, caring, authentic person. Thank you.

Great appetizers of fried green tomatoes and fried pickles made a wonderful start. The tomatoes are battered just right and accompanied with a delicious and slightly spiced avocado ranch dip. The pickles are very good with a side of ranch dressing. Then followed by a CFS (Chicken Fried Steak) with gravey, garlic mashed potatoes and sweet corn on one plate. The second plate had 2 large fried catfish filets and fried shrimp. The CFS is always large and delicious and the hint of garlic in the mashed potatoes separate them from all others with flavor to love. The catfish and shrimp are well seasoned and perfectly fried. Their sweet tea is one of the best around as I usually am disappointed in the lack of sweetness or the overpowering taste of an artificial sweetener but not here. The simple fact is their sweet tea is great. As for service, ask for Melanie to be your server. While I am confident that all of them are good, she was bright and welcome addition to our meal who was very attentive and courteous. Overall a wonderful evening meal in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

We used to go to Cotton Patch quite a bit, About 3-4 years ago it went downhill Quick, I ordered meatloaf and it was just enough to feed a bird maybe 3 little bites, then a week later my wife’s serving was barely enough for a child…. So we quit going then this past Sunday we thought let’s try it again and wife and I ordered the Turkey dinner and everything was sooo good, The new management definitely improved from 3-4 years ago and we will be back ….Keep the good work up !

Chicken fried chicken with the jalapeño gravy, skillet cornbread, mashed potatoes with gravy, Mac and cheese. Some of the better southern cooking I’ve had from a restaurant. Everything was delicious.

First things first, waiter Mike needs a raise! Amazing service from him, on top of everything, extremely nice, very positive attitude. I don't think I saw him stop moving! Walked in to a completely packed restaurant, running like a well oiled machine. We sat waiting behind 5 or 6 families and were seated within 20 minutes or less. Very quick for a Sunday lunch rush. We ordered the Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt and the Blackened Tilapia. Both were at our table before we even finished the first basket of rolls. Which is saying something because I was inhaling them like it was the last thing I would eat. The Blackened Tilapia tasted wonderful, excellent seasoning, flakey, and just the right amount of fish taste. The Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. The spread they put on it with the buttery Texas Toast made for an incredible combination of flavor. Last thing I would like to say is there is a review of 2 stars on here that had my laughing to hard. They said they picked their food up, put it in the fridge, waited a day, and then ate it. Said they were upset because it wasn't fresh! 🤣 Of course it wasn't! You waited a day to eat it! 🤣🤣 Anyway, definitely stop by here if you're looking for a pleasent meal!

I spent the weekend in Abilene and was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. I came across this great little café. The food was amazing! The staff was wonderful. I had the sweetest waitress. Everything was so good, I went back the next day so I could take my son to eat here before we headed home . He loved it as well. The rolls are some of the best we've ever had. I had just finished working a long day and just wanted to get a meal and return to a hotel room. I placed this order online from the parking lot then walked in to wait. I expected to wait 20 minutes which was fine because I love fresh hot food. I was greeted immediately upon entering and my food order was checked on. After a few minutes, I was informed of a shift change and also the person now responsible for my order. Waited a few more minutes and my order was packed and ready to go... all in about 12 minutes. Better time than expected. I got to my hotel and the food was still hot and all was packed perfectly and delicious. I'll be visiting again soon for both the friendly service and food.

It was my wife's birthday celebration and she decided to go to Cotton Patch. Last time we had dinner at Cotton was when we had family visiting from Colorado. It's the place we go to when we want to have good food and a good time. This last time the food was great, but the service was even better. Our server, Tamia, was on top of things all night long. She was helpful, courteous, patient and quick. Even my credit card company checked with me if I had correctly tipped her 40% of the bill. I did. She deserved it. We'll continue to celebrate our special evenings at Cotton Patch Cafe.

Fish was good, flakey, fall apart. Batter could be a little more seasoned. Fries were delicious! Okra tasted overcooked, but was decent overall Not a bad place for some comfort food.

Although admittedly I was a little hesitant to go here, it was actually pretty tasty! Food was good and so was the service, although the manager there is less than friendly as she was quite rude to a friend of mine who ate with me. Aside from that? The food was just fine!

This location in Abilene is a shining star among other Cotton Patch restaurants I have been to. I have always received great service and food here. I used to come here quite often when their prices were more reasonable. Unfortunately, their drastic rate hikes in the last year have priced them out of my range for normal eating. I don't know why they think they can tack on $2 to the menu prices in a town like Abilene that has stagnate wages for 20 years. I will still come here on special occasions though.

It is always a pleasure to pick up my online orders quickly. I don't like to wait when I make an on-site order. The wait seems such a long time. Maybe you could offer a complimentary drink while your customers wait, like they do at Spring Creek BBQ.

Sometimes we go there for my birthday. First time I tried the Egg Burger on 2015, loved it. The coming years everyone always orders Burgers everywhere we went, so the next time I came, decided on a different dish, Grilled Cajun Duo with 4 shrimps and a baked potato. Did not regret it, and that's what I order to this day.

The peach cobbler sweet tea was excellent. Service was phenomenal. Of note, all of the main dining area fans were turned off due to one customer requesting the fan above them to be turned off. Also, an exceedingly obnoxious, ear piercing ringing/beeping was heard from the kitchen for a mojority of our stay.

Christopher/Crispy is by far the best server I have had in a very long time. Food was amazing; as usual. Only observation would be: it was very humid and warm in the restaurant.

The cornbread appetizer is pretty good, the brisket queso is a joke so dont get it. I really like the meatloaf, and the casseroles, the chicken fried steak was tough and not tender at all and the Mac n cheese was okay. Their sweet tea is solid. The service was solid as well. Our waitress was friendly and on top of things, the manager of that place needs to do a deep clean on that whole place though for sure. Their pricing is really fair though so thats a plus! Overall I give this place a 7.1/10

We've been here a few times and everytime we are disappointed. The food is bland and cold, everytime (we usually get delivery when we go here). I can get over the temperature, but the quality and taste is not worth the price, not to mention there was a piece of glass/ceramic in the broccoli casserole last night, I'm very lucky it didn't crack my tooth or cut me, I ignored it and just skipped that side, just to be almost equallly disguised by the rest of the meal. I don’t know how this place is jumping, we eat at cheddars every Sunday after church and we decided to try here today, I got steak fingers that were overcooked, the grease had been old that they were fried in, but the tea was good, the waitress was good, but she couldn’t get the bill figured out Splitting between three people; $25 for one person to eat a meal is meh, I could’ve eaten at cheddars twice and got a lot better tasting food and they know how to split the bill easily. I don’t mind paying for good food, but this was not worth $25.

I got door dash and while I called to make sure the bag would be safety sealed it was not And on top of that, this is what the food looks like.

We ordered the Holiday Ultimate Feast for Christmas. We picked up the food the afternoon of the 22 and refrigerated it almost immediately. We ate the food the 23. The food was not fresh. We ate it, but had to throw it out in two days, because it was going "bad". I was very disappointed. I wanted left overs. We order from this CP at least 5 times a month. We are very good customers, but this time, CP dropped the ball. The turkey especially was "twangy" even on the first day we ate it. Please understand that in Rockwall I drove past Cracker Barrel and Le Madelaine to get to Cotton Patch to pick up my food. In the past, I have utilized both for my holiday meals with excellent results. Because CP has been such a great source of quality meals this past year, I was pleased to trust you with my holiday. I am sorely disappointed.

We ordered the meal for 6 for Thanksgiving and were extremely disappointed. There definitely was not enough food for 6 people. We received 5 small containers of food that would amount to about 2 1/2 level tablespoons of each side and 2 toddler amount pieces of turkey each. Definitely not worth the $120 we paid for it. The mac n cheese container was smashed as well so cheese was all over the bottom of the containers too. Ugh. We got more food on the plate when we ate the turkey and dressing meal at Cotton Patch the day before we ordered the Thanksgiving meal. Extremely disappointed and the manager was rude as well.

Horrible customer service. Do not order online. Half of our order was missing and the employees were unwilling to to offer any solutions. Paying full price and only receiving half of the order isn'…

Food was crap, 8 orders and how does no one like anything they got. Got a burger to be on the safe side…. The patty was disgusting. Server was alright, but overall this is the 3rd time in a row that it’s been disappointing so we won’t be going back.

Rude staff. Ordered meat loaf, no longer includes tomato gravy. Offered ketchup instead and told that is the gravy. The sides were OK, but 1 meat loaf looked like it was scraped off the floor and even less than small, the other fair. Big disappointment, won't be ordering from them again. They have steadily gone down hill over the years. Other locations may be better.

Cotton Patch should be a safe go to for "home cooked" like food. right? Instead what I got was fried fish on steroids minus the fish. The poor waitress was agast when I showed her the amount of breading thar was on the meager amount of fish I picked out. These pictures show only the breading after I picked out the fish. It wasn't even good breading. I still feel like gagging. At least my salad and broccoli were good. The waitress was excellent. Abilene Texas, Clack location.

My husband his coworker and boss ate there 2 day ago and now all of them have food poisoning. Cook the food thoroughly and make sure it’s up to temp. I don’t think the health inspector would like a call about food poisoning from three people. I wouldn’t recommend until the cooks know how to make proper food that doesn’t make people sick.

Well having to come back to update my experience, we’ve previously visited and had AMAZING experiences, we tonight were let down by every thing at tonight’s visit, we arrived about 8pm, they don’t close until 9:30, we ordered fried green tomato’s, my husband ordered a bbq potato, and I ordered fish, as well as wanting bread pudding. The server comes back after about 10-15 mins to let me know they don’t have the tomato’s their kitchen threw them away, cool disappointed but not mad, I then ordered fried mushrooms, and asked about bread pudding, and was told “I can bring you the ingredients to make it”, ha funny, but unimpressed, the server doesn’t return for a while longer and a manager walks up to let us know, that they don’t have the potato for my husbands meal, we’ve already been here about 35 minutes at this point, I said we will just eat somewhere else, it was ridiculous, just after that, I won’t even be returning, we just had an amazing experience this week, to be completely let down by the staff today. So sad. Management needs to really up their game.

We didn’t dine in so I’m unable to grade the atmosphere. Don’t order meatloaf or green beans. I had to throw the “so-called” meat loaf and green beans away. The meatloaf was the most horrible thing that I have ever tasted. The green beans were so big that they were shelling size. If pepper is a problem for you, they put black pepper in everything. I don’t believe that everything that they serve is truly made from scratch. If so, they need better recipes.
