Shout-out to Jaquelyn! Very kind and helpful!
Food was good. Fish was a little old, but still good. Service was amazing and quick. The restaurant was nice and clean, as well as the restrooms. Appreciate coming to a place like this. Thank you!
What a well run establishment. Great service. Polite employees. Darn good chicken!
Great food as always. Good mix of tenders, but some small. Biscuits were overcooked and dry, but still tasted good.
Pretty good for a fast food restaurant. Haley was our Host and she did a spectacular job. Very good communication skills and great customer service. Our order was taken easily and she was very familiar with the menu and options. Customer service was great Speed of service was great Food quality was good Food temp was good Cleanliness was good
My wife and I visit this location regularly . Above a month ago we were in and during our visit I lost a 3200.00 dollar diamond ring. I called today on the outside chance that I had lost it there. Rachel told me that she had had my ring in her desk for the last month ( I had looked everywhere I could think of). I was so relieved to find it!!’ Great food and honest people. Thanks for allowing us to be your customers
Went through the drive through and their customer service was great! Friendly and quick! Food is always great too!
The workers at the Ridgemont location are always genuinely happy to serve. Food is top notch and orders are correct every time!
Was in just after their lunch rush and was presented our food very quickly after we ordered. The young lady behind the counter was extremely pleasant as was the manager that checked on us as we ate. The food was good. Biskits are among my favorites. Fries are as well. The chicken is always spot on a tender and when you add that spice packet, it kills twice! Overall, this location is always worth it when I am in the area.
Jackie , Vett , the cook and expeditor all did a wonderful job. Everything was smooth and delicious. They were happy to serve customers. Keep all these individuals. Pay them what they are worth. Great workers are hard to find.
Great drive thru service. Food was hot and very flavorful. I get their chicken livers. It's the only place I will get them. They cook them to order, so they are always fresh and hot. The unsweetened tea is the best 👌 👍 😍
Very efficient and timely. They always correct if there is an error. Very polite always with a smile.
Ok, so I go here to get chickrn tenders family packs and their chicken is really great. The people are much nocer and care about you as a customer. Not like some of golden competition. They aleaus put a smile on my face and gove cash back if you pay cash
The entire staff was so friendly. Food was fresh and brought to our table with the best hospitality.
I had placed a specially cooked order and the team was happy to accommodate my very special request. The cook did an amazing job preparing the food and the manager ensured the order was cooked correctly. The lady at the register was super sweet and greeted me immediately. Great job! Great service and great teamwork . I’ll definitely return!
Cleanest place throughout the entire customer area, food great, staff super friendly, catfish off the chart delicious... definitely going back. Called to tell them... fabulous experience... reasonable prices...(only wish for seniors paper plates)...& ❤️Ed the editable ice...🏆🏆🏆
I went through the drive-thru yesterday to get my kids some food. There was a sign saying the headsets were broken so I expected to be in the line for a while. To my delight a woman named Yvette was walking back and forth to get everyone's orders. Her, along with the rest of the staff, had the drive-thru cleared out in less than 10 minutes. Yvette was fast, efficient, and had the best personality. Y'all truly have a gem working there.
Good place to get chicken...but suprisingly, one of the best places around Abilene to get fried fish. The only problem ive ever experienced here is they bottle up gallons of tea and put it in their cooler. Almost every time we have night tea by the gallon, they take it from the cooler and it almost always has soured. Their sweet tea is hard to beat, but have them make you a fresh gallon each time.
The fish was whole filets, which was surprising for fast food. The seasoned fries were quite tasty. The workers were very nice.
Food was good surprised me lol I passed this place so many times and just randomly decided to try it out. Staff was patient, food was tasty I liked that the fried chicken wasn't salty unlike you know where lol. What stood out to me was the taste of the chicken and they have a really good cream corn. Deff give them a try.
Clean, clean, clean. We came at lunch time, they were on point. That line was moving along, at a fast and steady clip. We had our order, by the time we paid, at 12:20pm. The food was good, and well seasoned, Hubby had a 2 peice plate, I had the tenders. My husband loves their iced tea, unsweetened. We will be back.
They have really good crisp and juicy chicken. Their fried okra is typically good as well. I had their fried pickles on this trip and they were equally as good as any other side they have. The service here was consistently quick but not the friendliest.
This fast food restaurant has cleaned up its self since I was in last which was about 4 yrs ago. They always have good food and the sweet tea is great. Give it a try if you like fried chicken or fish.
Had to wait 20 minutes for chicken breasts, but chicken was good. Okra wasn't really hot. Fortunately, I checked boxes because one box did not have what was ordered.
I just give 4 out of 5 because on my experienced over by the Catclaw when sometimes during lunch break we go there, employees needs more presentative look especially their clothes, it should be neat looking not untidy. They’re serving food they should be neat.
Food was tough, warm not hot. Tea was 👍
Chicken tenders and sides were good as always. We go hear or golden chick. This time was because the golden chick on buffalo gap road was out of tons of stuff.
The cheese sticks were very hard by the time they got home but otherwise the food was good. The service was great because it was hot and ready when we arrived to pick it up.
Food could be cooked longer, it wasn't crispy just light flaky. Id give the chicken 5/10, mac and cheese 6/10, corn poppers 7/10, biscuit 7/10, rolls 6/10. the daily deal was at the drive through window, not even on the sign.
Food always good employees always friendly. Only problem today was owner Kevin was walking around in kitchen handling food with no mask. If employees and customers must wear mask thinking ower would too
How do you wait 10 to 12 minutes for your food like normal with gizzards but not get your whole order and it’s simple gizzards and fries butt I guess the 30 I got is supposed to accommodate like dangggggg every time I get gizzards I don’t get my fry’s crazyyyyy.
Chicken didn't have much if any flavor, but the fries were good. Service was really good overall. More expensive than I remember, but that can be said about everything. Didn't feel the value was there though.
I have eaten at many chicken Express's all over Texas any enjoy their fried chicken, but this one here is not right, I will not return, only recieved 8 French fries, food was dry on both orders which was given to us to go when we were eating in. Would have talked to someone there but didn't think it would do any good after the way they reacted after not getting the order right, sad place with sad people. So use to having great food at chicken express.
Today, my husband ordered regular chicken tenders having to repeat himself several times. He's a professor ands speaks clearly. He got home only to find we got spicy. We don't tolerate some spices and could've been a huge problem. Mom had to cut her breading off. Usually, we never know if our biscuits won't turn out to be rolls. It's sad we can't get reliable orders. Its always hit and miss. The food isn't bad and it's a nice Sunday noon treat, except when it's not.
I pulled into the drive thru at 9:05 PM on a Wednesday night. There were no other cars in line and none in the parking lot. Aware they close at 10:00 PM, I fully expected my order would take a bit as most chicken establishments switch to "cook to order" in their last open hours. What I did not expected was the exasperated sigh from the drive thru employee when I placed my chicken order. I maintained a jovial demeanor regardless and continued with my two sides, choice of bread (love the rolls), but then when asked if there was anything else - it happened again. I ordered 3 fried cherry pies (amazing!) and commented, 'ya know, since we are cook to order anyway.' The sigh that came through the speaker was deafening and outright rude. The employee then said, in a rather perturbed voice, 'I guess I'll have your total at the window.' Which she did, eventually when she came to collect my money. Never once smiled, thanked me for coming or showed anything towards me one would call warm the entire time I was on property. This being a full 45 minutes before close, with no other guests whatsoever. Now I understand, they're probably cleaning and hoping to go home a little earlier because they happen to be slow tonight. That does not make any difference in how you treat a customer at your establishment. This entire review has been typed as I still wait for my order to finish being cooked. My apologies to the employees of Chicken E, I won't disturb you again.
I wish I could post a photo, but it isn’t giving me the option. I have been to this location on and off over the last 2 years and in the past year, it seems to have slowly gotten worse. Every time I have come here, something just doesn’t taste like all the other locational. The last time I came, they had a weird breading on the fried pickles, instead of the battered outside. When asked about it, I was told that the staff member had no idea if it has changed and that they just take it from a frozen bag and pour it into the fryer. They said they were told to order that kind. I stopped getting their fried pickles. Today I got the #1 with mashed potatoes and 6 rolls, along with my oldest son’s choice of a meal. The chicken was a little on the slimy side. Some people prefer the outside not crispy at all. So not a huge deal. It still tasted great. The mashed potatoes were runny. The rolls were COVERED and soaked in whatever grease they use. This is unfortunately the worst Chicken Express location I’ve ever been to. I’m a huge fan, but I will not be coming back to this location again. There is always something wrong. They seriously need someone else to do those rolls. Put grease on them before cooking and no more. 🤢🤮 I would love to see things get a little more consistent (in the right direction) for this location.
Ordered a 25 tender piece family meal with two sides and received a 4oz cup of gravy. Not to mention had to pull back around cause they forgot to put my fried pickles in the bag. I will be going back but let's do better on the gravy
Food was good, services was so so. The drive through spewker box was broke but they still Kade it was and was quick about it. I dislike that when you order tenders you have to pay for the dipping sauce.
Why do yall charge a fee using a debit card ??Companies are not supposed to charge you a fee for using a debit card in Texas. Texas law specifically prohibits merchants from imposing a surcharge on a buyer who uses a debit card, or any similar card-based payment method, instead of cash or another option. State Law: Texas statutes, specifically Business & Commerce Code Chapter 604A, prohibit surcharges on debit card purchases. Card Network Rules: Major card networks like Visa and Mastercard also have policies that forbid surcharges on debit card payments. What to do if you are charged: If a business charges you a fee for using a debit card, it is illegal. You can report the practice or simply refuse to pay the extra fee.
I went through the drive thru. The food was lukewarm. The eating utensil was left out. I have had issues with food being left out so I check my order before I drive away. Today I was doing that and a woman asked me to move up. I will not be going to this place anymore.
Had a great visit to Chicken Express today! Everything was fresh and delicious — the corn nuggets were hot and crispy, the chicken strips were cooked perfectly, and the rolls were soft and fresh, just the way they should be. It really made the whole meal awesome. The young lady at the drive-through window was super friendly and did a great job, making the experience even better. Also, I have to mention the lemonade — it was absolutely top-tier, easily some of the best I’ve had. Overall, everything from the food to the service was spot-on. Definitely a great stop if you’re craving fresh, tasty food and great customer service!
Picked up a family meal that contained 3 sides. Got home with 2 of the sides and half of the amount of rolls we were originally to receive. Called the store back and told the manager about the situation, manager simply said you gonna come back for it? No apology for the inconvenience or anything. Pretty poor customer service considering the inside is completely shut down due to covid 19. So why is there an issue when you are dealing with 1 customer at a time? Come on now.
Don’t go when they’re about to close. You’ll wait 30+ minutes for a small simple order, that comes out so so wrong. 3 smashed/flattened rolls in one box, honestly was the only highlight and made us laugh. I guess they were ready to shut it down. They put like 10+ tenders in one, and 5 in the other. It smelled like straight mold AND chemical cleaner. Usually they do alright but tonight we got a hot steamin mold stankin dinner with smashed rolls.
Food was cold, some of the chicken was unseasoned while some were seasoned properly. Rolls were cold with a pound of faux butter on them that made them kind of greasy and gross. Just not a good experience here.
This place never gets the order right. You order a 4 piece, you might get 3. You order a biscuit, they give you a roll. They do not care in the slightest if the order is right. I would not recommend this place if you're not willing to walk in after the fact and demand they give you the correct order.
I love the food but the guy working the counter sucked. I was there at 6:24. The drive thru was kinda busy so i thought id go in for my food since there was only 2 small families eating inside. I ordered 4 express tenders. There was nothing express about them after waiting 15 minutes i finally walked up and caught a cook walking by and said i think ive been forgotten about. He looked at my receipt and quickly filled my order and apologized for the wait.
two stars is generous only because I have been to this location many times and I know in the past that I have gotten good customer service. But the girl that was in the Drive-Thru today was awfully rude. And I did not appreciate the way that I was spoken to. I lived in Abilene for almost eight years. I now live in Colorado Springs and we always make it a point to come to Chicken Express to get fried pickles and corn nuggets because they do not have Chicken Express in Colorado. They were out of fried pickles but when I tried to order them the girl in the Drive-Thru said "we don't have fried pickles." They are still listed on the menu. So I was a little confused. then she yelled back into the speaker that they do have them but they're out. When I ordered something else instead, she was very terse and rude and told me my total at did not say thank you or anyting. when we got to the window she said my total again and then shut the window as soon as I handed her my card. Just all-around rude and unprofessional and did not apologize for any inconvenience.
We used the drive thru at the location near Target here in Abilene and ordered fish. The girl at the window was Not wearing a mask or gloves. Given the current virus threat she should have been wearing both! She was also not as polite as we normally are treated at this location. The fish also had to much salt but was tolerable.
This was the worsed fish that I have eaten at Chicken Express. It was bland no seasoning and hard. The only thing good was the rolls. It was too much ice in the soda. I ask for 2 pieces of fish they charged me for 3 and I ask for 2 rolls gave me one. I will not be going there anymore. Where I moved from Chicken Express was always on point.
Food is what you would expect for fast food chicken. However be prepared to wait almost as long as you would for Popeyes. A #2 chicken tender meal took over 30 minutes in the drive thru to get. 7 of that was waiting at the window without even being greeted or acknowledged. Also be prepared to pay more if you pay with card. I paid over a $1 extra on a $14 meal.
Thursday night, it was dinner time around 6 PM. Extremely busy. Which I did not mind waiting at all. Took about 10 minutes before we were able to place our order. Ordered a combo number four, chicken, and a combo number five, Gizzards. Set at the window in my car for another 15 to 20 minutes waiting for our order to be ready, I’m guessing the gizzards were taking a while. I’m not sure what the issue was, but I did observe a crew working hard to get peoples food ready especially the guy at the drive-through window. I don’t remember his name, but he was doing an awesome job eating peoples food out the drive-through window. So to the management. You have a great crew. Now, when I got home is a different story. I had ordered barbecue sauce to go with my gizzard meal. But no barbecue sauce. There was gravy with my gizzards, but the gravy was consistency of water, not really gravy and it had a funny granular taste to it like it wasn’t probably mixed and Over salted So the service was five star. But the food was not.
Ordered online through Doordash. When I received the food there were missing items and the food was ice cold. Doordashers can't check the food because they seal the bag so missing items is on them. The Dasher came straight to my house so ice cold food is also on them. They were very hateful and dismissive about their mistakes. DIDN'T APOLOGIZE! When I go to the drivethru they are always hateful. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! The north 10th express is great though. Guess I'll be driving the extra mile for the decent Express. Will never get my food here again.
My children and I were just served raw chicken at this location, when I pointed it out to the manager, she proceeded to try to charge me for the sides, and was very rude and unprofessional. This is so unacceptable, it’s very dangerous to serve RAW CHICKEN!
This location earlier today served me cold tenders and soggy fried pickles. I'm not the type of person to complain but this is the very first time I have ever experienced anything bad from here. I've always been a fan of Chicken E and today I was so disappointed. I will continue to be a good customer but I will be avoiding this location at all costs.
Lady in the drive thru that’s working right now need a better attitude . She tall with glasses . Rude af and gave me cold tenders and I asked for gizzards. Lady that was fixing my food and gave me the right order was nice . I’m visiting and won’t stop again . Bushes next time .
Dec 17, we visited your Turner Plaza location. We simply ordere UNSWEET tea, were in drive through for approximately 15 minutes. When we got to the window she tried to give us food. We told her it was wrong and she looked at us like we were crazy, then brings SWEET tea to the window. FINALLY, we get a simple glass tea. I called to speak with manager, Jose and now understand the whole problem!!! He never offered an apology nor asked any questions until I asked for your name. Seriously need a training on customer service. I managed a retail store and fried folks for treating my customers with customers with complete utter disrespect!!
Writing this in the drive thru as I’ve been sitting here for 20 minutes while the employees sit on the food counter and jack around. Thank you for putting your dirty chemical bucket right next to the food I’m about to consume and sitting on the prep table. Much appreciated.
So I bought my first 2 gallons of Chicken Express's sweet tea, $3.49 a gallon, yesterday at 7:02 pm. I told my fiancé that the tea tasted weird and so we went to finish the first gallon. Come to find out, there was fried chicken at the bottom of the gallon. We had to take our food handlers certificate to work at a grocery/convenient store, so we know a little bit about this. If I am not mistaken, that IS cross contamination. I am not pleased and if I am going to pay more for a gallon of tea, then a gallon of gas, I would rather it NOT have fried chicken in it. Today, I opened the 2nd gallon, poured it in a glass with ice and the tea was foamy. My fiancé got home from work and I told him to smell the tea I had just opened and it was sour smelling. I am so displeased and disappointed.
Ticket Dr-T#3242. Order gizzards and gravy.Drove up to window and young man gave me wrong drink.when I got order, the fries were cold and the gizzards soaked in grease. I pulled up in parking lot and the gravy was nothing but hot milk..I called them on the phone and the young man brought me imme diately some real gravy. I think the milk gravy was on purpose..Date 3/30/2021 at 9:00.
I expect my food ter side. The sides were the onlyo be hot when I order it but that wasn't the case here. My wife and I ordered the chicken 🐔 tenders combo and the chicken 🐔 was cold on both of our orders. I ordered Jalepeno poppers as my side and my wife had the corn 🌽 Nuggets The sides were the only part of our orders that was hot. Both my bisquit and my wife's roll were cold.
Awful just awful. The guy talking orders behind the counter handling money also turns right around and starts handing food without washing his hands. Then walks over by the drive through window area and blows his nose and then right back to handling the pies. Then they will only give me four small packages of honey for three orders. She said that was all she was aloud to give me. Will never go back. Sitting at the new one in Midland right now and look the honey packets are beside the drink station in the dining room.
Window cashier sounded extremely annoyed about having to do his job. Chicken was cooked too long and overly chewy. Then I got home only to have half of my order. Will not be going back to the location.
Took over 30 minutes to bring out 3 plates even though we were the only ones in there. Chicken was nasty. Orders were all wrong. But worst of all found a hair in the chicken. Worst service i have ever had here. Never coming back again
My husband and daughter went in to eat and ordered and 16 piece to go . Waited 35 min and daughter realized she wanted 16 piece tenders and they were very rude and wouldn't accommodate her request. Won't be back here again.
Horrible! They always forget part of your order, mashed potatoes are usually runny, gravy is usually runny. The tea is nasty! Absolutely stay away from this place.
Got Food Poisoning My friend and I ate here on Saturday and got the number 1 chicken dinner. We both are experiencing diarrhea and vomiting after eating there. Also, the food did not taste that good either.
Usually have no issues. Today I ordered two, three piece fried meals (our usual order). Arrived at home to find two, two piece meals. Considering the drive, it's not worth the price in fuel to return, but this shouldn't happen. The store was not busy at the time (approximately 4 pm). Everyone check your order! I was complacent since I had no issues in the past.
I have never been so disappointed with the customer service at this establishment. I went Through drive-through window, placed a simple order of the #1 four piece tender, fries and large Sweet tea. I added an additional side of fried pickles with jalapeño ranch. I arrived back to work to find that my additional side was incorrect. No problem I’m right down the street. Go back through drive to express that the wrong side had been placed in my order. The lady whom had placed my order was rude and unapologetic. I didn’t mind having to go back, like I mentioned before, literally right down the road. She then had the audacity to tell me that I ordered some type of nuggets that I had no clue about. I’ve worked in the food industry before and her behavior was completely uncalled for. I understand you just got done with lunch rush, but word to the wise. Slow down, listen a little better and remember your in the industry of service. Smile next time, it’s ok to make mistakes. After this experience Chicken express is off my places to go. And to the person whom handed me the correct side rolling your eyes with the stare down the same goes to you as well. Customer service, courtesy, and politeness is needed desperately, and lacking in this location. Change grease out as well food wasn’t up to par.
No one in Texas puts corn in their hush puppies if you want corn poppers, then you order corn poppers if you want hush puppies you order hush puppies when I got there they were rude, obstinate and unhelpful. I almost left, but I went ahead and made the fish was good the rest of it sucked.
We ordered the 30 piece tender meal and was only given 20 tenders. Did not realize it until we got home and started making plates. Called and was told we had to bring all the food back to the store. Be cautious if making big orders! And make shure you get what you paid for before you leave if you decide to eat here as for me I’ll never go here to eat again!
It amazes me how a place can have already made chicken ready to go, and yet will take over 20 minutes on your order. Beyond that, it is disgusting how I see their cooks constantly bare handing food as they drop it into the fryer. It's like they don't know what gloves are or anything! It is just absolutely horrendous the standards that they set with customer service and with just a handling of food and I honestly recommend people to avoid this place unless you want to get sick
Came in at 9pm, yes I know that they close at 10 but I figured since it was still an hour away that it would be fine. Boy was I wrong. The guy taking our order was very rude, and gave me a horrible look when I said it was for here instead of to go. Too bad there’s not an option to give one star. We ended up taking our food to go because we felt so uncomfortable.
Our order was short Gravy, the mashed potatoes tasted old, the chicken was extra dry. Last time we'll go to this location. Last time I bought was at the location on Northeast 10th and everything was good. Is it the same owner? Need to tighten up your quality control. A wasted 28 dollars. Never sgsin
Got a fish dinner that was cold and old. Paid for my fish and got a gizzards meal everything was cold and to be told 10 minutes later that there were no gizzards had to pick something else. They forgot half are order. And the little girl working there was sitting on the table where they put the food together very bad restaurant. And bad food. I will be calling the manager and corporate if I have to. Not acceptable at all.
Terrible food, no dark meat ready, 15 minute wait. Lost my order from the drive thru order speaker to window. Chicken dinner 2 piece tasted burnt. Cold potatoes, inconvenienced the worker when I had to ask for a bag, so could carry a drink, box of chicken, napkins and fork. Will not ever revisit.
My husband and I went to this establishment for dinner to go. I am not one to ever complain especially like this. But it was 5:29 pm on a Tuesday. The manager taking the order over the speaker was talking very fast we could barely understand her I felt like I was taking up her time as we had to repeat ourselves and she just got louder and faster. There was a different lady at the register she was professional and courteous. Once we got home my husband began to get the food out he commented that the chicken was over cooked and hard, part of my order was missing, it appeared that the mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken had been sitting out for quiet awhile. Out of the whole meal not one part of any of it seemed fresh and at 5:30 pm you would think some or most would have been just made. I called and made a complaint since we were unable to really eat any of it. A young lady that answered the phone claimed to be one of the managers, she was also the same one that spoke very fast and loud. I explained what happened, she offered for us to come at that time to get the okra she left out. I told her the meal was older and we weren’t happy with the meal itself. She said she would replace the meal this one time since I waited an hour to call in. I’m not sure that I will return unless an adult is in charge and the food is back to where it used to be. So disappointed in this chicken express as they have always been really good and professional.
Placed an order online and was supposed to be ready at 7:05 pm. I arrived at 7:05 and had two other people in line already. The customers that ordered at the register got their food within 10-15 minutes. I sat there until 7:40 pm before I got mine. They said they were giving me some free biscuits for the wait….I could have made biscuits in that amount of time. What really pisses me off is that I gave them a 20% tip online. Glad I did go in so that I could actually see how dirty the whole place was.My family and I will never spend another dime at this store!
Went to this chain today because I went to the one off of Judge Ely and I got an extra side and the tenders were so big I ate on the order for 2 plus days. I use the chili-fa-le sauce you buy at the grocery store as I do that because I use the gravy up too fast. Because it was so good there and felt I got my monies worth I went to this one today. The tenders were so small….and not cooked right really because the crunch should be so good on the outside. I will never go to any one again. I wish I would have just waited and ate when I got home versus this crap. Chicken Express is not suppose to be a drive thru you can’t rely on. Now it is for me.
They really dropped the ball this time. It sucks because when their food is fresh and prepared properly it's so good. However, this store is ALWAYS a hit and miss. We paid nearly$50 for a family meal and didn't get what we paid for including missing items. So disappointing! Chicken Express you've got to do better. Ugh.....
Never give a complete order. Don't use Uber here they don't send it complete then don't bother with you if you call to complain. I waited 2 hours for a 2 chicken tender meals and received one. That was our dinner for tonight. Manager just said I can get a refund through Uber or she'd write down a credit neither solved my problem.
We ordered a delivery, and there were multiple things that were terrible with this order. First thing: the chicken was extremely salty; I typically don't complain about this, however the chicken strips were so salty they were inedible. The rolls were extremely hard, like they were either over cooked or left out for a long period of time. They also didn't add any of the serendipity sauce that we ordered with it. The order, for the price of the meal? Absolutely disgusting. Don't recommend. Never had such terrible food quality from Chicken Express. THEY ALSO tried to blame the delivery on our poor food quality. I’m sorry but our deliverer isn’t dipping our chicken strips in salt and over cooking our rolls and stealing our sauce.
Came through the drive thru at 8:05 pm 01/10/24 ordered a 20 piece tenders w biscuits, fries, okra, and corn nuggets with a gallon of sweet tea (6 items) only to get home to find I had everything but the chicken. I live 30 minutes outside of town! I called them and told them I didn’t have my chicken and they said I would have to come back or give my name and get it another day. I have to feed my kids so back to the store I go after telling them I live 30 minutes out of town and I am on my way. I arrive back at the store and ask for my 20 piece tenders, in which the male employee has no idea what I’m talking about. About this time the drive thru lady that didn’t give me all my food walks up and I tell her I’m here for my food … you didn’t give me the tenders. Instead of saying she apologized and instead of having my food ready and waiting on me she replies it’s my first day to which I replied can you count to 6!? (Pardon my frustration!! I apologize!) The manager was in the office never bothering to get up out of her chair and come address me professionally. Check the cameras for proof! Instead she spoke from the office with me having to poke my head around the corner to even hear everything she was saying. She told me I don’t need to be rude to the employees. That we are human and make mistakes, which is true. But I too am human and can be irritated about poor food service and lack of customer service as well. Your whole job is FAST FOOD S-E-R-V-I-C-E!! This store was not busy when I came through, either time, (check your register logs if you don’t believe me) so it’s not like they were so busy that it got mixed up. Not to mention this whole thing cost me 2 hours of my time driving back and forth plus the gas I had to waste because someone can’t make sure all the items are in the bag, especially the main part of the meal. Just to show up and have to further wait for my tenders while arguing with staff. Let me tell you what those hot tenders were so good with cold sides by the time I got home but yeah you’re right I’m the Karen huh? If you can’t count 6 items on a ticket and verify 5 boxes and 1 gallon of tea before you hand over the order something is really wrong. And if she’s in training it’s not her fault, it’s the managers bc she should make sure someone is checking on her until she gets it down to avoid frustration and bad customer experiences. And yeah I probably could’ve checked it myself before I got all the way home but you know what it’s your job, TO DO YOUR JOB! So maybe next time just say sorry for the inconvenience and have the customer not have to wait when they show up the second time bc you didn’t get it right the 1st time!!! Instead of what you did which was cause me a huge inconvenience without any accountability for my frustration. Instead treating and acting like I’m out of line. DO YOUR JOB right and who knows maybe one day you’ll get praise! I will be calling corporate because I feel management here needs replaced. This isn’t the 1st bad experience I’ve had at this particular location either so now I will never be back I’ll give my money to the other chicken places in town. I’ll be sure to point out to corporate all those 1 star reviews within the last six months … smh … obviously I was correct in saying poor management is 100% at fault!!
Took an hour to get a box of mixed spicy and regular tenders, by the time I got it the spicy tenders they where cold, counted small baby tenders(chicken nuggets) as one tender which it shouldn't be. The mashed potatoes were watery. We got a family okra they didn't even fill the box up. Horrible experience.
I went through the drive thru and they got my entire order incorrect! When I called to say I live 40 minutes from their facility they said unless I want to bring the food back I have to take what I got! They just lost my service and I love chicken express! I ordered a number one with corn nuggets and a number two with fries! Here is a picture that was taped to my box! I got my two sweet teas but not my order! Thanks for overcharging me too!
Asked for a #3 with mashed potatoes and sweet tea added a coleslaw and instead of ringing it up the cheaper way she rang it up so it cost almost $2 more. I asked why it was so expensive she explained then i asked for it to be rang up the other way. She did and i thought it was over with and there was no hostility at all. I got my food and went to leave only to open the box to me missing a whole chicken piece and my side of coleslaw. I went inside where i complained that my food was missing and the lady went to fix it and was greeted by what looked like a manager. The lady who took my order then in front of me began to talk bad about me and lied to her manager to seem like she was the victim in the situation. I politely corrected her to her and her manager got my food and left. My home is less than 5 miles away and i went to eat and the food isnt even hot. Its poor quality of food and service all the way around. If my employee talked about a customer like that they would have been written up and asked to leave but it seems like its acceptable behavior in this place. 0/5 STARS is not an option or it would have been a 0. Do not eat here!
I’ve never had a good experience here. It’s always horrible customer service every time. I always forget how bad it is, and then end up going. I went through drive through this evening, and the chick was rude for no reason. She had a nasty attitude from the start. I waited 30 min in the drive through, to end up being treated that way. if you don’t like your job, then don’t work there.🙄
Went through drive thru tonight at about 9 and ordered a 7 tender dinner. I received a 3 tender dinner, which I didn’t notice until I got all the way home. I go back up there and go inside and I’m told to wait. While waiting I notice a Chipotle worker come in and how the GM came out from the back where she was dropping food very quickly to come place a trade order(Chicken express for chipotle). Mind you, I had been standing there with my messed up food box for like 15 minutes. She never once checked on me or asked if she could help me. I do want to thank the Ms.King, she was making orders for front and drive thru! She was the only positive thing here. Food and service has went downhill at this location.
My lady wanted chicken livers. We stood at the counter for nearly 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us. I stated loudly enough to be heard, "last chance or were leaving." Someone replied "Go ahead." Apparently, customers are not needed at this establishment. From the reviews of this store, it should not even be open. I will not be back!!!
We are visiting from Adam town in this chicken express. Who's right across the street from our hotel So we took a break from working ordered online and a picked it up. The worker at the window was very rude and hateful. Handed me my drinks dripping. They couldnt even wipe the drinks off . And I asked for more honey because only got 2 package of honey in. She basically just told me no and shut the window has customer service in this town Gone out the window will not be visiting this chicken express again.
I order drive through from this Chicken Express at least once or twice a month. It's a quick easy meal for our busy family. The last two times I have gotten family tenders meals. The mashed potatoes have been thinner than the gravy and this time the rolls were hard and stale tasting. I'm not impressed with the downward turn this restaurant has taken.
Pretty sad to even have to write this review. We live in Oklahoma... this is one of our absolute favorites whenever we come back to Abilene to visit family. Last night we purchased a large family meal for $47... 30 tenders meal with mashed potatoes, fries, fried okra and extra rolls. When we got to our family’s house we discovered that our fries were missing. We called back and they said ”we are so sorry, please stop by tomorrow and we will give you your fries.” So today we stopped by planning to get more chicken and our fries from the day before. They REFUSED to give us any fries and said there was no manager was available to talk to. Sadly this was a really big mistake. You have lost our business from this point forward due to your extremely poor customer service. Check your orders before you leave... otherwise you are screwed.
I visited this location after not dining here for several years and was very disappointed. Customer service was unprofessional from the start. I was interrupted mid-sentence and abruptly told they hadn’t had rolls for weeks like im psychic and should of known that. Multiple employees were gathered in the lobby watching the Super Bowl instead of assisting customers. Phones rang repeatedly and were ignored while staff openly argued about answering them and made dismissive comments about the caller within earshot of customers. The lobby was also out of tea, and staff stated they were not making more as they had “stopped making everything.” The food quality reflected the lack of care, my chicken tenders were lukewarm at best. Overall, this experience showed a lack of professionalism, organization, and customer focus. I would not recommend this location and will not be returning.
No glove policy is bs and I got told that we all breathe the same air and replied back with you're touching everything including dirty money that only God knows where it's been and she got upset and rude and started talking over me I'll never be going back
Highly disappointed. Went there at 9:10 and was told they stopped serving chicken livers. With 50 minutes left until closing??
Cashier to busy on her phone to greet anyone. 2 customers eating and we all had to listen to the cashiers loud conversation the entire time.
Host sharron is very rude and unattentive , they got my order wrong and when i brought it up to who i assume is the manager she wasnt helpful at all either...save yalls money and time go across town
Normally good but ai always go very early. Everything tasted old and was not even lukewarm 👎🏼👎🏼
Waited a while only to be given old chicken, cold fries, and why bother asking if we want biscuits or rolls if you're gonna give us whatever you have on hand. Imagine going into a place and getting paid to serve old, nasty food. That's what is happening here. So that's new and different. Hope that business model somehow works out for the franchise owner. Oh, paid almost $50 for a bunch of old chicken. So I guess it is working out lmao.. Thanks for potential food poisoning and maybe some cracked teeth judging by this chicken. Do not recommend unless you also like throwing away money.
