We celebrated a birthdays here today and everything was perfect. Huge thanks to the chef and the owner, Danielle — the food was absolutely delicious. Real Italian flavors, fresh, rich, and made with love. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a special day. We truly enjoyed every moment and every bite. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.
The service here is beyond amazing! The chef came out and checked in on how we were enjoying the food, the waiter came out and checked in on us individually and as a collective group, the attention to everything was so sweet! The restaurant itself is very clean and spacious and had good lighting! The food is DELICIOUS! So yummy!! I got the gnocchi with cheese and you can tell they use quality ingredients and everything tastes beyond amazing, I can't recommend this place enough!! My friend got a side of risotto and it was so creamy and soft and overall 10/10!!
Absolutely outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner made us feel genuinely cared for. The food was simply incredible — fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and beautifully presented. We tried several dishes and every single one was delicious, especially the handmade lobster bisque soup and the tiramisu, which was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. You can really taste the passion and craftsmanship in every bite. Portions were generous, prices were fair for the quality, and service was attentive without being intrusive. This is easily one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to, and I can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for real Italian cuisine and a memorable dining experience! 🇮🇹🍝
I want to say a huge thank you to Chef/Owner Danny for the amazing food! Everything was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to take photos of all the dishes, but we enjoyed caprese salad, fish with vegetables, pasta, baked oysters, and dessert. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and hospitality!
We had an amazing experience at Cibo Cucina Italiana. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. The chef absolutely nailed it with the Cibo Rigatoni, it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the tiramisu was hands down one of the best I’ve had. Everything felt thoughtful, fresh, and done with care. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and will be recommending to others.
A true gem! We went last Saturday and enjoyed every moment—from the service to the food. Our waiter, an older gentleman, took the time to explain the menu and was attentive and prompt with every request. Every single bite was a delight. The food presentation was beautiful, but the flavors were truly the star of the night. Everyone at the table loved their meal, and that says a lot because we aren’t usually big Italian food eaters. That said, Cibo has officially earned a permanent spot in our dining rotation. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and despite how much we ate, we didn’t feel weighed down afterward. Exceptional food and a wonderful experience overall.
The head chef/owner, who if I remember correctly was Danny Barbos, came to our table after we sat down and introduced himself to us. After speaking with him and watching him work, you could tell this man truly cares about his work and just loves it. He seemed to have a passion like no other. I hesitate in saying that this is the best Italian food I've had for the sole reason of being that this may just may be some of the best food I have had in general. Honestly just marvelous, everything from the bruschetta to the lobster ravioli was just fantastic. The atmosphere could cater anything from a date night to a business banquet. The servers are quick to respond to inquiry but are in no rush to get you out of the door. I truly look forward to my next visit and would recommend this establishment to everyone. Edit - In addition, our waiter walked us out and I told him to "please give our thanks to the chef, the food was amazing" and as we are walking out we could genuinely see our waiter went to the chef/owner and passed along message. I feel that speaks volumes and wanted to share that as well.
The owner/chef greeted us and let us pick our seats. The server was super sweet too. This was the best pasta I’ve ever had. I got the seafood linguine but substituted the noodles for their gluten free penne (penne only gf option at the time) which didn’t disappoint! The chef/ owner was super awesome for making our daughter a custom pizza for her she loved it! The pizza and the pasta were delicious! Thank you. We will definitely be back from the Arlington Texas area.
This place is great for food. I highly recommend the octopus - it’s really delicious. All the other dishes were also good, based on my friends’ feedback. Also our waiter was very polite and courteous. The service was a bit slow: we waited about half an hour (or longer) for our food. One negative was that we ordered several different dishes and received everything except one item (for group of 8), but it looks like we ended up paying for it anyway. Another downside was an unpleasant smell inside (probably from the kitchen). Overall, though, I can definitely recommend this place if you want good Italian-style food - the taste is excellent!
I brought my mom here for her birthday on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was slow so it gave us a chance to really look at the beautiful atmosphere they've created here! The owner/chef, Donny, greeted us at our table and made sure to make us feel welcome. He even gave my mom a complimentary slice of cake for her birthday with her name on the plate which was very sweet. The food came out lightning fast and was very good! Overall this place was wonderful!
We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We started with the charcuterie board, which was a great selection of meats and cheeses. The cheese bread was delicious, and the spaghetti was cooked to perfection. We also tried the spaghetti with Bolognese, which was a hearty and flavorful dish. The house salad was fresh and crisp, and the salmon was cooked to our liking. One of the standout dishes of the meal was the soup. It was a unique twist on a classic minestrone soup, with a chicken broth and a variety of vegetables. It was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made sure that we had everything we needed. They were also knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to recommend dishes that we might not have otherwise tried. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic and delicious dining experience. The food is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. We will definitely be back in the future.
Absolutely the best date night environment hands down. Excellent service, food is delicious because the owner is a true Italian. Has sea bass with risotto. WOW !!!! From the distributor for you, French second language thank you so much. Paglia de fieno paired with cantini Federicoane and tomaresca Chardonnay. Finished With a slice of tiramisu and lemon cake paired with with glass of Lemoncello . Highly recommend for your corporate events, date night, family, lunch, or dinner, Friends brunch !!! Truly a place that encompasses everything that we purchased the tickets for that you are For by the elegance , delicious food, Very affordable. Enjoy !
We went there to celebrate a buddy's birthday party none of us had been there before I will say we had a party of 14 so the service was not the best but the food came out quick and was delicious , full of flavor and not extremely expensive so for that I recommend the spot sometimes you cant have everything 😂
Went there for my birthday and the atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. Our server gave us a very nice and elegant experience by providing detailed highlights of the Chefs work and background as well as helpful information about the menu & particular dishes. Me & my man enjoyed it, we will definitely be making this our spot as I am a huge fan of italian food. The manager was a good vibe as well, I have already recommended so many people to come and experience the dining. I didn’t take a picture of my meal but I took a picture of the salad and it was 10/10 very balanced. If you’re reading this, just goooo and see for yourself!
This restaurant is difficult to spot in a strip center off of Preston Road. We found the restaurant via the #PlanoFoodies program. The restaurant was clean, modern, and open-concept. We went on a Sunday night near closing, so not many customers. I noticed they advertise live entertainment on some nights! We were glad to see a server we had met at a previous restaurant. Giovani is a hoot! We ordered pretty typical dishes. They tasted good but nothing "special". I wish my rigatoni dish had more protein. It was nice to see a lot of cheese on my husband's dish - so many restaurants skimp on the cheese. Their plates/dishware are beautiful! We would welcome stopping in again when in the area!
Wife found this new gem in North Plano. We have been waiting for a good Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. We found it! The restaurant has been open about a month they said. The place is in a shopping strip on Preston and 121 by Pei Wei. The place is charming and nicely decorated. Our server, Nick, was very attentive and helpful when asking about dish suggestions. Truthfully I didn’t have big expectations going in. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. We started with the Italian salad and calamari. The Italian salad was large enough to share for three of us and really good. Presentation was nice as well. The calamari was lightly breaded and plentiful. Our main dishes were all so good. My daughter ordered the Chef’s Pasta, wife the Cibo (pronounced Chi-Bo) Rigatoni, and I ordered the Seafood Spaghetti. All three dishes were cooked perfectly al dente like we like. The sauces were all fabulous as well. My daughter and my dishes were asked to kick it up spicy. It wasn’t as spicy as we would have liked, but overall still fantastic. The portions are very large as well. Literally we asked to pack all three dishes up after eating 1/3 each. Leftovers, love it! We were in a rush so we ordered dessert to go. Got the vanilla bean cheesecake and tiramisu. Tiramisu was my favorite. Overall, we are excited this place is close to the house and the quality and service was so good. If you are looking for a really good small Italian restaurant in the Plano/Frisco area, heck in North Dallas, come give this place a try. Ask for Nick. You won’t be disappointed.
Went there for lamb chop but was told it's not available. Ordered these three dishes instead: Grilled Octopus – Tasty. Shrimp Scampi – My first time having shrimp scampi served with fried shrimp and it's under average Grilled Pork Chop – Rubbery, a total miss. Best part of the meal was Fred’s excellent service. Otherwise, quite underwhelming.
Based on the other reviews, I had high hopes for this place going in. When I visited on Wednesday evening, the place was completely empty aside. They don't seem to be getting much business. The service was average, with nothing bad or good to note. The place was clean and well kept so nothing to say there. Food was not my favorite, however. The lobster ravioli was good but very salty, which made my seafood pasta taste bland. Both dishes could have used a little more protein, too. The portion size is ok for the price but it's not exactly good value, especially considering the food was not something to write home about. Regardless, I probably won't visit nor would I recommend this place.
We came here for Valentine’s Day with a reservation and had an extremely disappointing experience. No waiter came to greet us, offer water, or even acknowledge our table for the first hour. We only received service after another customer went up to the bartender to ask for help — I then had to do the same just to get water. He took our order, and we waited another hour and a half for our food. The entire restaurant felt disorganized. Waiters were walking around but seemed to be ignoring customers. I asked for napkins twice and a blonde waitress completely ignored me. Several tables around us were also waiting for menus and water, and some customers ended up leaving. The food finally arrived cold and tasted very underwhelming. It was shocking to see such poor service at a place with good reviews. This experience completely ruined our Valentine’s Day. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others.
definitely a disappointment! We spent more than 60 minutes waiting for the food, 2 waiters and when we asked for attention the lady made a bad face and spoke badly to us! They brought us half the food and no napkins! definitely a disappointment, I don't understand how it has a good review Cold and poorly delivered food!
I really like this restaurant, the food is great, and the new chef is very nice and welcoming . However, today I was not happy at all with the behavior of the waiter. His attitude was very bad. My son, my husband, and I asked to sit at a specific table because my child likes it and we always sit there, but he refused and told us that the table is for five people, in a very rude way. I did not like his behavior at all, He did not suggest another place for us to sit, nor did he apologize or explain politely that it was not possible. Honestly, this made me feel uncomfortable. If he does not like Arab customers, then it would be better not to include halal food on your menu. Be better next time!!!!
