Honestly my boyfriend and I order this like every weekend, there’s so much flavor in everything even if it’s just a plain quesadilla de asado. Tastes fresh and authentic. Best hangover cure 😆 but honestly I’ll always order gordillas at least once a week. No doubt.

It's kindof pricey compared to the many Mexican grocery stores/Taco stands I've been too. But they clearly put alot of care into preparing their meats and there's many options to choose from; got to say I'm a big fan of the 'Asado Rojo' so far. Price wise i feel like this place atleast feels much more authentic than the places with similar pricing I've been to; for whatever my opinion is worth.

Thrive thru, can't speak to service inside but the ability to just thrive thru and get tacos, burritos, and gorditas that normally are only available at your grandma's house is amazing. Everything is delicious and true to the seasoning and spices of Mexico. This isn't your typical chipotle American fast food joint, this is legit family from the rancho flavor (meaning it's very spicy). Yes portions are tiny and prices are high, but the quality is excellent. Remember you get what you pay for, cough up the cash and enjoy.

Had their Menudo today its was really good flavorful and made with Love. Portion size was good for buying a large bowl. Been thru here many of times and never disappoints. This place has the potential of that neighborhood Hole in the Wall place. Will recommend this place for a flavorful well proportioned bowl of Menudo with a homemade tortillas that are included. The Family Pack of Gordillas for $32ish with 10 assorted Gordillas and a rice and beans is a fantastic deal! Love this place. Get a delicious assortment of the different fillings. Some of our favorites are the poblano and cheese, the egg and cactus and the mushroom. Really good rice and beans too! And their green sauce is so good. Edit: June 2024 and still one of our favorite family deals!!

Fresh authentic and tasty food. Chips and fresh salsa bar and free drink refills for dine in. The tortillas are made fresh. I've been coming back as much as I can. Love this place. Friendly staff as well. Only slight issue is the drive-thru speaker is hard for them to hear you clearly. Besides that, no complaints.

I’ve been here a few times now, and the food and service is always great. The prices are naturally a bit high but with how good the food is, it’s worth it. The workers are always nice and prepare the food quickly. I never have to wait long. My favorite part is how many different food and drink items they have on the menu!

We ordered the Burrito and Gordita combo plates. note the burritos are 'north' style, so they are longer and very thin. the default was just with meat or filling and this was very good. we got asada (v. good), Mushroom (amazing), shredded beef (stewy and savory!), and chorizo and potato. amazing beans. the aqua fresca lemonade was so good their salsa is very hot so be prepared. it was so good I went back for a quesadilla with potatowith red sauce. the heat on this was so good but a lot of food. be careful on spice here! was a bit to order but totally worth it. very good hope to come back for the Gordita special of 10!

Wow! The quesadillas didn't come with a warning that were huge! I bought a little of everything and I wasn't disappointed. Great service, the salsa selection is fantastic! Chips not so good though.

Very good place for Gorditas. The only downside sometimes is that it takes around 15 min for the food to come out. The flavor is good and the salsas are very tasty as well. Food is priced fairly as well.

I've enjoyed all the food here and the café de olla is delicious! The service itself through the drive through has been hit or miss. They are often times not very accommodating which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 but the food itself is really good!

Surprisingly the food was very good. Not canned beans! Rice was good and salsas were tasty. They sell combos with drinks. Ladies working are super nice. They do need more help though... they could have easily used another 2 employees to keep things running smoothly. I had the gorditas combo. Steak and Picadillo.

I have driven past this place that is on Lake Street in Addison many times and finally went in. This place has a lot to offer, and they sure know how to cook! The food was delicious, the place was clean and the service was very friendly! Not many places make the quesadillas the way I like them, a little crispy. But these guys almost made them as good as I make them and that's saying a lot! Worth a try! They're kind of across the street from the golf dome.

I got the gordi meal that was 2 gorditas with rice and beans and I picked a frijoles/bean one and rajas, papas, and queso/peppers, potatoes and cheese one and got them topped with cilantro and onion I really liked them both. Everything was flavorful. The rice and beans were delicious, which I use a lot of times to see if a Mexican restaurant is good or not. The salsas had a good spice to them too. I definitely want to try some more of the many options they have for the gorditas. Pricing was reasonable, I felt like the portions were good. I ordered online and picked up and my food was ready fast. I will say the parking lot does have a lot of potholes

It was good. I ordered gorditas potatoe and cheese. They are small small, in my opinion. Check the picture. The outer edge was a little hard. Taste really good made up for size. Beans needed salt a get it some people don't like salty but fyi ask for salt if you like. Friendly, fast, overall very good

Stopped by since I was in the area and the place is easy to see and they have plenty of parking. Once inside at the time I visited there was not a lot of people so it was quick to get my order in. The restaurant overall was clean and plenty of seating available. As for the food, it was good and fast to get. For the service it was ok from the lady at the register, the lady behind the kitchen was actually nice, she brought the food out and was kind enough to let me know what salsa was good for my food. That's why the four stars. There is complimentary chips and salsa in front and all you can drink option as well.

Have been here 3 times.. The first time was a sunday around 4pm service and food was good so we decided to try them again, unfortunately the lady on a wednesday morning wasn't too excited to be at work and was rude that being said our food was not very good and they no longer offer free refills.

The breakfast burritos are good and reasonably priced. There are no free refills which doesn't help, but overall good experience.

It's like a Mexican version of the popeyes next door with a lot more spice than flavor. It is like a taco bell bought out an authentic Mexican restaurant and started looking at where to cut corners. With that said the food is okay and drinks are really good. Menu seems expansive but really, it's not. Mexican restaurants generally have a lot more of a selection. Barbacoa gorditas were great. Menudo was good though (weekends only).

Food is hot but the asada seems to need flavor. They’re food is good but the servings are super small for the price. Gordita’s are super thin looks must have no more than 3 oz in each. I mean even the nopales was paper thin hardly any filling. Seems to get thinner the longer this pandemic goes.

Burrito nothing special. It was good but not like I want go back to that place and have it again. I also felt it was pricey for the size. Very nice looking interior though.... I still feel the best burritos /Mexican food in Addison has el burrito real on the same Plaza as Caputo's. I'm pretty sure I will not go back to Gordillas

It was a decent spot to go try...we were visiting family and decided to try out some authentic Mexican spots in the area and this one was flashy enough to catch my wife's attention...that beign said the interior was clean and well kept...staff were friendly and they looked busy busy so I order the Gorditas plate and so did my wife...kids got meals of their own which were the Quesadilla kids meal. We picked a table and waited for our food to be brought to us since we decided to dine in. As soon as we sat down my wife complained about the cold metal furniture...mind you it was for Christmas and it was dam cold outside...so the place is built with big windows all around and obviously insulation from the outside elements such as cold is not great. Now it makes sense why there was no one else inside the dinning area. FOOD: Kids got their plates before we did and they didn't like the way the made their quesadillas they were greasy and the food was lukewarm. Portions were measured with a cup I'm guessing. My plate and the wife's were identical as far as portions and the girditas looked like they came out of a factory line...exactly the same and my beans and rice portions identical to the kids portions so I felt like I was back in school having my food portioned out to the exact measurement. QUALITY: Again it felt like it came out of a line instead of hand made type of quality. So not the best I've had. PRICE: For the price we could of gotten more and warmer food at Popeyes which is next door to this joint. Again it was really cold that evening and the entire dining room surrounded by glass windows from the floor to the ceiling didn't help. Final thoughts...not going back. Give it a try sure but for me it won't be my first choice.

Food is good. There are a couple of things that make this a 3 star place for me. I have been to another of their other locations where you can get some refills on drinks and you can choose your own salsas and toppings, not here, the latter I could see because of Covid, no drink refills seems just petty. They also charge you extra for using a credit card which I think is insane to do so on this day and age.

The indoor air is still contaminated with Gain scent beads (an employee here uses Gain scent beads, and has been for quite some time continuously, for more than a year) making it extremely painful/itchy for the nerves of sensitive customers to be inside of this restaurant. They seem to have fixed the old food problem. Food does not seem old anymore, but the taste is not consistent. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's mid. Sometimes too salty, other times not as salty. They need to keep extremely consistent. I did not smell the overpowering floor cleaners this time. If you make everything super new and keep it succulent and savory * ALL THE TIME AND EVERY TIME*, you could get a lot more customers into your doors. This is my best advice to your future success 🙌, Keep serving inconsistent tasting food, and the business will not grow

My favorite Meal

Location matters!! I gave this brand of restaurant another try after being disappointed in a different location also because thats what my mom wanted for lunch. This location is pretty pretty good. The taste and freshness was there. Those gorditas were made with love. Just know the the portions are small almost definitely need 3 or more to feel satisfied but then you find yourself paying for more.. il definitely come back to this location for lunch and while eating might as well think about dinner.

Pretty sure that everyone that works here isnt able to take an order correctly, more so the younger people. They skimp pretty bad too. Bring back Wendy’s and get rid of this place!!!

Their food could be better based on the two items I ordered. The first letdown, was the burrito “estilo Druango” (Durango Style). The burrito was almost tasteless, and was covered with what I can only describe as: a Taco Bell chalupa flatbread, filled with cheap street taco beef, and an abundance of onions. The second item to disappoint me were the gorditas. Unsurprisingly, the carne asada meat inside the gorditas were dry and disappointing with flavor. The salsas included are also bland but added some semblance of taste to the food. Overall, I wouldn’t try food from here; it’s overpriced for the low level of quality you get.

I have gone here about 6 times and I usually have large to-go oders for my family, and each time the order was incorrect. For the amount of mistakes being made it's not worth it to get gorditas from here. There are other nearby restaurants with better gorditas and better service.

Not what I expected as far as good taste. Had better gorditas. Very little meat on my asada gorditas and a whole lot of beans. The salsa bar is awesome to be honest chips and salsa were more tastier.

As you drive in the parking lot, there are NUMEROUS pot holes and uneven concrete with various work trucks renting the lot. The drive thru speaker has not been working for over a year now so you have to order at the window which takes longer than usual. If you're going to order inside, the place is pretty clean, customer service can be better, a lot of stares by employees until someone takes your order. There used to be a salsa bar that you can get up and choose from with your chips, it was soo delicious before covid happened but after covid, they started charging for the salsas and I don't think they display it any longer. The food is alright. The chicharrón en salsa verde is pretty good.

Tried this place for the first time today. Not really impressed. I know meat prices have been going up but the meat portions on tacos you get here is just insane. I had to put on my glasses to see the meat. They charge $.50 for steak tacos which brings the price to over $3. For a neighborhood joint no taco should be more then $3: also cc charge? Really? If you want your costumers to pay your over head then you should not run a business at all...red hot salsa was good. Seasoning on Al pastor was good. Steak tacos shouldn’t be more then $2 nothing special....overall if you are hungry spend your money somewhere else...2 stars for salsa and fast service...3 empty stars for portions, prices, and cleanliness.

Gordillas o flaquillas? Good flavors overall However it was extremely disappointing to see the amount of toppings they put in the gorditas or anything else u get they were barely filled up to a 1/3 and im not exaggerating! Be prepared to pay extra on top of extra on top of extra no free water!! Extra for steak a .50 upcharge extra for cheese and 3.5% extra for credit card fee really? Come on why this place have the need to double dip over n over ? Sadly won't be coming back plenty of other spots that give u what u pay for closer home.

I went out to eat with my daughters and one of them ordered a burrito and a gordita and received something they didn't order and we told one of waiters nicely and someone came back in a rude way yelling at us that that was there order and wouldn't be changed very disappointed wont come back for sure.

Drive thru menu doesn't have updated pricing and was shocked at what the difference was when I got to the window. As a Mexican I can legitimately tell you the meat is mediocre and lacking so much flavor. I had the gorditas and they're very bland. Their carne asada is trash and has more fat portions on it than meat. Portions are ridiculously tiny and not worth the price. If you're looking for some good gorditas definitely head to el burrito next to caputos right across the street. Those gorditas at least have meat, beans and cheese and their meat is so delicious! If you want a better burrito go to el burrito tapatio right next to the chase across the street as well. So many better Mexican food options not too far away. Was very disappointed by this one!

This place is super unprofessional. There drive thru has pot holes, the prices on there menu are not accurate. The drive thru speaker does not work. They not only were rude at the window but charged us double. On top of that had to wait 20 min for 2 small burritos. Not coming back here.

I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Just had the worst experience at this place. We placed an order for pick up and part of my order was not what we wanted so I called and asked if they can correct my order. The lady had me bring the gorditas back and they corrected it with an attitude and she never corrected my burrito they messed up so we got stuck going somewhere else. Gave this place a try after one time had bought food and it was OK, but today went to order food in the drive thru and after I waited 25 minutes in my car to get my food, and nothing, I went inside to ask and the lady named Claudia starts to ask her cooks if my food was ready and they say "no I don't have any order for this number" so they have NOT even made my food after 25 minutes waiting in my car for lunch. Now I'm late for work and with no food and not even an apology. Worse service ever. Will not be going there again..

Spent 50 dollars on a steak burrito, 3 steak taco dinner, and 2 kids meals. food was absolute garbage. Asked for just steak beans and cheese for burrito came with about 10 percent steak 90 percent beans n cheese. Specifically said I want onions and cilantro on the tacos they came plain with just the steak which the meat was very bland. Worst Hispanic food I've ever tasted also the price is outrageous especially for the quality of food. Place was a huge let down I definitely would stay far away from this place dont waste your money!!

I have been wanting to try this place since it first opened up in Addison. Was excited for it! But... first, their speaker at the drive-thru is busted and there is a poorly managed sign to explain that. Should not have to look around so much to see what's going on and how to even order. Next, the girl wasn't all that welcoming or friendly. Lastly, the food is, I am sorry, but it was BAD. The gorditas are small, I asked for gorditas of queso and asada and I got flavorless, dry asada, no cheese. The horchata lacks flavor. The rice was just okay. The beans are probably the best thing that came out of there. Overall, it was not good. Plus the maza of the gorditas tasted old. Just a terrible first time experience. Will not be going back. At least I tried it.

WORST TACOS EVER! Went to gorillas on Sunday before the bears game.I drive up to the Window to place my order i ask for 3 ground beef tacos. I wait almost 15 minutes in the drive threw even though the restaurant was empty. When I get home to eat i open the box there were my 3 tacos that were completely dry. There was no cheese,cilantro, tomatoes NOTHING just dry beef that was almost 9 dollars.

Good luck if you order through the drive thru! If you like waiting 30+ mins for your food than this place is for you! Drive-thru speaker doesn't work & they haven't updated their prices on the drive-thru menu either so you get charged differently at the window. The slowest drive-thru service EVER!

Food it's great.. today we bought the guiso plate 2 $13.49 each there was not enough tortillas so we asked an extra order. The waitress said it's was $1.50 for each additional tortilla..not on order..a single tortilla $1.50 and not even hand made...very expensive tortillas.

If I could give them zero stars I would everything was ok when I walked in the girl in the front took my order what they failed to say is that the wait was going to be an hour for food. I went and asked a few times how long it would be and she kept saying they were working on it! Not to mention 3 other families walked in maybe 30 min after us and they were served WAY BEFORE US! Finally my food comes out it’s ice cold . My husband has asked for cheese on two of his gorditas and it didn’t have it. After waiting over an hour we didn’t feel like waiting another 44 min for them to add cheese. I mentioned to the girl manager my frustration not an apology it even a I get it or I’m sorry . I could have taken the $50 I spent and given my business to anyone else . Oh did I forget the people in the drive thru were being prioritized before the people in the dining room. They acted like I ordered for 15 people it was literally my husband and I and our child 3 orders . NO REASON ANYONE SHOULD BE WAITING OVER AN HOUR! Never coming back ever again.. save your Pennie’s people go to gorditas don Angel in elgin better server , better quality and definitely no one our wait for like 5 items.

The food is good. But they charge you for steak. They don’t say they will charge you (.50)more, unless you’re looking at the register. One sign they were able to show me said there is a streak uncharge on the gorditas, but for (.25). I wouldn’t mind paying more if they were upfront about it, not to mention they have never charged me this in the past. I always pay with a card and showed them the amounts. The service has also gone down which is sad.

The most disgusting food I’ve ever tried. Took one bite and had to throw it out. Very poor taste you can tell they leave the ingredients sitting out all day. Overall a bad experience I do not recommend.

I believe the chorizo and eggs is supposed to have eggs. Try serving it hot as well. Absolutely horrible!

I ordered 2 burritos. One was ok, and the other one tasted terrible, almost like if it was sitting there for 2 days. The egg was so nasty, tasted, smelled, and looked like old food. I asked the lady if she could juat give me a diffrent one but I was denied a replacement. I regret adding my $5 tip when I first ordered my food. If they only they had made it right for me. Too bad they don't have any customer service skills. Half of my food was trashed.

Have ordered for a long time and spoke with man in regards to order and guy even repeated order and was correct but when I called back just to inform order was incorrect women answered put me in hold and hung up then when called back Alonso who stated was the manager said I was incorrect and that I was wrong but then hung up when I called back to corporate number from women who never gave her name said I was accountable and then was laughing when asked for corporate number and said she didn’t need to give it to me and that to just put a review because they didn’t care. I never put reviews like this but very unprofessional. Not asking for free nothing but just wanted my food correct and seems like this place don’t care anymore about anything but trying to get money that don’t even care about customer service.

Not worth it! Just went today, very disappointed. They do not label any of the food so I have to open each burrito to see whats what. Then 3.99 for a burrito thats all tortilla and hardly anything in the burrito. Better going to a different spot and get your money’s worth. Do not recommend save your money.
