Fat Rosie's Taco & Tequila Bar - Oak Brook

Went here for dinner on a Sunday night and was able to get seated right away. The restaurant was crowded though. Ordered the chicken burrito and Rosie’s mule. Everything by was delicious.

The food at Fat Rosie's is on point and delicious. The customer service was excellent, top tier and I'll definitely be back. They have picture service where they come to the tables and take pictures which I love.

From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and lively décor set the tone for a fun and memorable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic taste, and the margaritas were spot-on! What truly made our visit special was our server, Cesar. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was attentive without being intrusive, offered great menu recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome. His friendly personality and professionalism turned a great meal into an exceptional one. Fat Rosie’s is now one of my top go-to spots, and I’ll definitely be coming back especially if I can sit in Cesar’s section again!

Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar is an absolute blast! The atmosphere is lively and colorful, making it a fun place to hang out with friends. Their tacos are packed with flavor, and the portions are generous. The tequila selection is impressive, and their margaritas are some of the best I’ve had. The staff is friendly and keeps the energy upbeat. Definitely a go-to spot for great food and drinks!

Went for dinner. Our server, Victor, was GREAT! Very friendly. The food was fantastic. Had the Posole and the Mar y Tierra ( Surf and Turf) for 2. SO GOOD! Mango margaritas! Tres Leches cake is excellent! Some of the best I've had! Chips and salsa were great! The atmosphere is awesome!

This was my friend's & my first time coming into a Fat Rosie's. Food & drinks were fantastic, but my favorite part of the experience was definitely our server Cesar. He was friendly, attentive & through in his recommendations & explanations of all the specials. Would give him 6 stars if I could. We capped off the night with a flight of tequila shots & will definitely be coming back!

Went for a birthday party. Everybody there was having a birthday party! Very nice place. Good people good service decent food.

I was looking for a place and heard i should try this one out, but I had no clue they just opened there! I believe Victor was out waiter. The food is delish. Gluten-free is only marked for desserts, but if you talk to them, they will help you order what you want. We had the queso dip, shrimp fajitas, and steak fajitas.... so good!!! The salsa is amazing. I was hoping to find jars to buy and take home honestly. And the drinks..... wow!!! Highly recommend, and we'll be back!

Great new restaurant. Stopped here today for after work celebration. I did not get the waiters name but he was great. Everything was great from drinks(frozen mango margaritas)appetizers(guacamole #1l and entrée(carne asata/steak dinner tacos). Definitely will be visiting again.

I loveddddddd it.... We randomly Googled restaurants in Oakbrook that was open late & found you guys.... It was a great experience, the food was good & perfectly seasoned.... The customer service was top notch, I loved wearing the sombreros.... Hoping to return soon

Celebrated an anniversary here and the service and food was superb! We have been to both the Schaumburg & Frankfort locations and this was by far our favorite experience! The atmosphere was so bright, fun, and welcoming. The most impressive observation was seeing how engaged and helpful the manager, Dimitri, was with the staff and customers. He came to our table and cleared plates and happily got us some extra sauce for our order of quesabirria. When we thought he forgot the sauce, he explained they were actually making a fresh batch and wanted to give it us warm ! He was extremely personable & made our anniversary day a special one. I definitely recommend the food (fresh) the service (kind), and the overall experience is well worth the price point ! You won’t be disappointed. Shout out to Dimitri & his staff! You guys deserve all the praise !

Family get together over this weekend and what a great place to do it at. Our server was funny, and polite which made the table laugh even more. The food was perfect, not one complaint from anyone. Highly recommend this location

We had an excellent dining experience at Fat Rosies, and Jesus, our server, made it even more enjoyable. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out perfectly prepared. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. First time coming to Fat Rosie’s and it was a solid experience overall. The food was good and came out pretty quick, and the place had a chill, welcoming vibe. Our server Diego was great — really friendly, checked in on us without overdoing it, and made sure everything was good the whole time. You can tell he actually cares about his job.

Fat Rosie’s is a wonderful restaurant! We especially liked Jesus, our waiter. He was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and so personable. I look forward to coming again and enjoying another wonderful evening here. As for the food, it is plentiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mexican food, having a good time with friends and family and great service.

This restaurant is killer. The house salsa was so good I ate a stupid amount of chips. The tacos were great. The margarita was incredible, the vibe was awesome. I can't wait to go back. Immediate family favorite. THE ONLY NEGATIVE... the dining room music was painfully loud. Like turn it down by half and only then would it be comfortable.

Caesar was our server and he was great! The salsa is homemade and excellent. We had the chicken tamales, fajitas, cochinita. All were excellent. We also got the queso which was perfect. The margaritas were very good. Mango and also blueberry/basil.

Jesus was an amazing server at Fat Rosie’s—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our experience even better. He checked in at all the right times, had great energy, and made us feel very well taken care of. Outstanding service from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

What a great time ! The service was excellent and Ari was great! She was quick, and checked in often to see if we needed anything. We rented the patio room out for a birthday party! The space had a well stocked bar and excellent service!!

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was delicious and came out fresh and hot, but what really stood out was our waitress Yasmine. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Her great service made the meal even better. We’ll definitely be back!

I came to Fat Rosie’s for the first time. Wonderful food, great drinks and the BEST party was my waitress Doris. She suggested drinks, talkative and came to the table often to offer and suggest more drinks. Love her smile. Next time ask for Doris!

Jose was great and very friendly. Made sure we all had what we needed and was very quick. Food was very good. Came for a birthday and it’s definitely a great place to have it as the staff came with candles and sang. Would recommend

This restaurant is decorated fabulously, it’s very spacious with an outside deck, the bar is long with lots of seating! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is outstanding great recommendations. If you don’t know your way around the menu with the best suggestions that will leave you wanting more. This Oak Brook location was new to me, and I later found out it was new all together, plenty of parking with outside, eating in front, and in the back of the property where a gorgeous fountain is located. My server today was, Adrian! This young man was well-versed with the menu and could answer every question I had he had a great personality, I personally purchased every recommendation he made, needless to say I had a great now and later meal. The entire staff was wonderful, very friendly, and willing to help with whatever needed. I will surely return with my entire family, great family orientated restaurant you are going to love it! 🥰

My family and I had a great time. Our server, Diego, was very attentive and had a lot of really great recommendations. Our favorite was the Purple Basil! Highly recommend asking to sit in Diego’s section. Will be definitely coming back!

Her positive energy and genuine care really stood out — you can tell she loves what she does! The food and atmosphere were already fantastic, but Doris truly made the experience memorable. Delicious food! Great for a nice night out with your family or friends. Margaritas are pretty strong so proceed with caution. Service was quick, they always seem to be busy which is great but it can be a little overwhelming and hard to talk to and hear what your waiter/waitress is saying. Definitely worth trying out!

Cesar was our server and he couldn't have been better. He was attentive and went above and beyond for our party of 10 that was there celebrating my birthday. The food exceeded expectations! Can't wait to go back!

We had a really great celebration lunch. Elvis was a fabulous server and brought so much excitement and enthusiasm to everything. Some of the drinks were really small and pricy (👀 old fashioned) but everything was delicious! The guac, the salsa, the Pollo Chipotle, the tacos, were all on point. The quesabirilla tacos weren't the best I've had but they were good. Definitely coming back!

Doris was extremely helpful, and honestly the entire staff was amazing. We had a great time celebrating foxy birthday. Fat Rosie’s food is always on point—I've been here quite a few times and I really love how consistent everything is. That consistency keeps me coming back, and I’ll definitely be back again.

Krishna, best waitress! Really understand on our wants. Appreciate her service. The Rosie's on Naperville has more of a mexican atmosphere(culture). This location is a little more basic. Not bad but I was expecting a bit more from it.

Fat Rosie's has a fun, lively atmosphere and the decor is definitely eye-catching, with colorful murals and a generally energetic vibe. The service was decent, our server was friendly and attentive. The food was a bit hit-or-miss. I didn't try any drinks, but they have a whole tequila bar, so that could be fun if you're into that. Overall, it's a decent place for a casual night out with friends, but don't expect anything mind-blowing in terms of the food.

The chef loves dry food: dry tres leches cake, dry fajita, dry flautas, dry flour tortillas. It's a cool place, and frankly, we weren't expecting real Mexican food so far north and away from Texas, so I wasn't planning to rate this restaurant too harshly. But multiple dry items are not a matter of flavor, but chef's skills or better yet lack of skills. Apart from that, the ambience is quite cool, I can see how margaritas and chips/guacamole can be a nice way to spend an evening there. Service was quite good, thank you, Diego, for trying to make our experience better. However, we will not be back.

Great service and the atmosphere was nice. The food was extremely bland, except for the rice. Spent $31 on the steak and shrimp fajitas, and the quantity didn’t match the price. It was cooked well tho. Margaritas were good, but they were not strong.

I tried the chicken mole enchiladas for the first time and I think the sauce was too sweet for mole. Also, the chicken should be shredded and it should fill the tortillas. Not enough queso fresco, onions or sour cream. Mole should have a little kick and the sauce a little tangy. The rice and beans were okay. Overall lacked flavor. Nice touch though getting the fresh chips and salsa but again the salsa needed more of a kick and salt. I ordered from Uber eats so this is all I can rate.

The first time I came here I had a lg party and they sat us in the back area. Waiter was very attentive and checked on us frequently. Food was good. Not the best but not the worst. The 2nd time I went was on a random Wednesday night and the service was horrible. I had to ask 3 separate time for water. Even though every other table just got it. I had foil in my food, the mgr told me she'd take care of my meal and would also bring me another one. I thought it was odd when my enchiladas came back in a third of the amount of time the first batch came out and they were half the size?? No one at my table enjoyed the food. Very lukewarm and lacked flavor. Ordering a drink from the bar would take 20 to 25 min just to receive it. The waitress seemed to check on everyone else but our table? Not sure why you can spend time singing happy birthday to tables yet you can't check on another table if we need something? My clothes napkin had a giant stain on it and when I asked one of the young guys clearing tables he gave me a look like it was such an ordeal? Nothing is really worth coming here. Staff gets overwhelmed very easily when its not busy so not sure what happens when it does get busy?? Then after all the issues I was charged for the dish with foil in it?? And all they gave you at the end of the meal for all the waiting was a coupon for free queso ehen you buy a meal? Seriously?? You ignore customers and expect them to come back to that?? The price you pay for the food and the service isnt worth it and the size of the drinks are ridiculously small for the price.There are way better restaurants nearby that are more authentic and a better deal. Just go somewhere else.

The service and atmosphere was great. However, the food was unappetizing. The appetizer platter, chicken Tamal, and birria tacos were unflavored. The shrimp tacos were mediocre. The best thing place offered was their chips and salsa. Everybody who rated this place food over a 1 star must’ve had alcohol to drink with their food making it appear flavorful. The Fat Rosie’s in Frankfort tastes much better!
