This place has THE most flavorful dishes. Spicy, non spicy, soups, veggies, all full of flavor. Service is fast, friendly, helpful, and non judgemental to those of us who can't seem to figure out how to use chopsticks. 😊 It can get a bit loud if you come during busy time so I've learned to come after the rush crowd.
Had the pleasure of enjoying the hospitality during a fun event. The food is amazing! Every dish we got to enjoy was authentic, flavorful and well prepared. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service is above and beyond. Highly recommend!
Solid dishes and spices. I appreciate that this place is not fully americanized like many other chinese restaurants here. Dan Dan Noodle had good flavor. Chilli fish was tender. Prices are fair
So freaking good! Came here for a work appreciation thing. Man, I felt appreciated. Food is amazing, service is top notch, going with a group (large or small) to this place is a great way to connect over a memorable meal
First time ordering catering from Sichuan Folk and we absolutely love the food! The manager has good recommendations and this whole experience was smooth. Everyone enjoyed the lunch!
Their cumin lamb is my go to, and it’s the best I’ve had. Absolutely delicious. The only down side is the very high prices.
Great place with delicious food! Garlic shrimp and pork w mushrooms were outstanding! Loud atmosphere but fun and friendly service.
This place delivered. I tried new dishes and loved the tofu, eggplant dish, and fried chicken. We had a large party and sat at one of the big tables where they were able to bring out different dishes and we could pass around. A great place to bring a large party!
It was such a fun experience sharing the food around the table. The food was amazing and they were able to work around my gluten allergy. I had chicken and broccoli with a side of sticky rice and it was very tasty for this celiac. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This place serves some of the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had in the DFW area. Over several visits, I’ve tried the marriage beef, tea-smoked duck, “ants on the tree,”and xiaolongbao. Each dish was full of flavor. The marriage beef was tender, spicy, and well-seasoned. The tea-smoked duck had a deep, smoky flavor without being too salty. “Ants on the tree” was a great comfort dish, but the glass noodles were a bit too watery for my taste. But overall definitely worth a visit!
Went for Christmas lunch with my family and it was amazing. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered many dishes family style but some of my favorites were the mapo tofu, the chicken lo mein, the snow pea leaves, the green beans, eggplant, and the soup dumplings. My family also mentioned they enjoyed the baked fish and the shrimp and egg dish which I did not try. The eggplant dish is incredible - spicy fried eggplant that melts into your mouth. The only thing I did not appreciate was the loud ordering notifications in the background. I will still be coming back, in person and for takeout.
New favorite authentic Chinese restaurant for our family! We ordered Spicy Wontons, Soup Dumpling and Fried rice - loved them all! The soup dumplings had a perfect casing, inside the meat was so juicy and so well marinated! It was so addictive! Hands down one of the best soup dumplings that we have had in Dallas thus far! The spicy wantons came with a super SPICY and umami oil - it had loads of chilly, garlic, and green onions - loved the heat in this cold rainy weather! The wanton casings were perfect and the meat was so juicy! The chicken fried rice was so comforting it had the perfect umami flavor! They put so much chicken and just the right amount of veges in it, loved it!
Found My New Favorite Sichuan Spot! Just had my first visit to Sichuan Folk and I'm already hooked! I was craving fish but didn't want the usual deep-fried stuff. Ordering over the phone was a bit confusing, so I just drove down to order takeout in person. Got the Sliced Fish Fillet with Diced Chili Pepper, Basil Fish Fillet, and Beef Fried Rice. The fried rice and basil fish were perfection! The other fish dish was way too spicy for me, but that's totally on me and my heat tolerance—not the restaurant's fault. The portions are super generous too, which is always a plus. Overall, this place is a winner. Already planning my next visit!
Love this restaurant and it's interior. Looks so spacious though tables are closer. Food was delicious. I am a vegetarian and had lots of options to choose from. Husband loved his chicken main course. Staff is very welcoming. Definitely will go again.
Went to Sichuan Folk in Plano for dinner and tried the chili chicken and the spicy fish soup. Both dishes were excellent, full of flavor. The setup is unique because you place your order online while dining in, which makes the process quick and easy. The restaurant also has a private room available, which is great for small gatherings or special occasions. Overall, a solid spot for authentic and delicious Sichuan food.
Our first time here and we will be back! The spicy wonton appetizer was absolutely wonderful. A pile of 10 steamed wontons on top of a bed of delicious chili oil. We ordered from the American Chinese cuisine menu section , selecting Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef was tender and flavorful with the onions cooked tender. The orange chicken hit just the right balance of being both crispy and saucy with a sauce that wasn't too sweet. Our food came out quickly, staff were welcoming and kept the water glasses filled, and the place was bright and clean. Can't wait to explore more of their menu!
If you are looking for a great place for Szechuan cuisine-this is the place. You are able to order the spice to your preference. The portions are huge and good price. The food is very tasty and numbing spicy! You can bring your own alcoholic beverage. We come here whenever I’m in town.
Overall great experience, the food was excellent and everything was to par. In my opinion, the service is definitely more modern when it comes to ordering, as it is done online, so bring your phone if you need to order on the menu. In terms of seating, we did sit at a Lifetime round table, so there definitely can be room for improvement in the environment. In regards to the service, they were decent on the time from when we ordered to when the food came out.
We went for Christmas dinner. Great choice. We ordered some traditional dishes, happy marriage beef and chicken that were delicious, as well as American dishes orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken that were good. The bok choy and green beans amazing. Fried rice good. Although the place was bursting at the seams due to holiday we were attended as expected and staff was friendly and helpful. Ordering on the application was easy and we enjoyed it. Definitely going back.
Have been here twice in just a few days, and have tried a number of dishes. Liked all of them. The twice cooked pork is a standout, delicious!! The soup dumplings are also great. The ordering is done on a web browser - anyone at the table can add dishes to the order, but it works best if you make sure everyone is done adding, and then one person submits the order. Steamed rice needs to be ordered if you want it, it doesn't come automatically with a dish. Food comes out very quickly! Waters refills came often. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!
Very solid place. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing overall, but there are great dishes that are must (for me). Note: I’ve been here ONCE (and comparing it to Hunan Bistro in Plano). A) The snow peas, you always get that. B) bitter melon? It’s pretty solid here but it’s bitter so for westerners, be careful. C) noodle (lo mein) — 4.5 star D) Fish filet piece - 4 star. Very good fresh fish but crumbly and the pickled (olive) is a little weird for me. E) 3 piece cold dish - not my style so 4 star. Good enough pig ear, cucumber, and beef. So it’s a 4 star for me. I’ve had better but would need to come again and try several other dishes
It was non rush hour in the weekend and the service was very good. The food had the right texture and a nice heat and numbness for the house specialities. The texture of the green beans were very good. My only call out was that all the dishes were saltier than I would’ve expected and something we Weill request to adjust next time. Overall, it was a good experience. Prices aren’t band, just bear in mind that most dishes are family style and the portions are enough to share. Like a veggie dish, rice and a house speciality dish is good for 2.5 people.
We have to order by scanning a QR code at our table. After the order is placed, the host will double check our order. There was no clear indication if the order came with rice, so we ordered two bowls of rice and ended up with a large container of rice. Having to pay for rice was always a deterrent for me. The food was good though. I just prefer ordering with paper menu and talking to someone. We did see some people bring drinks, so it looks like it is byob.
