My sister was looking for black owned restaurant on Juneteenth and found here. She said the service was good , it was a little bit of wait but understandable since a holiday and they were busy. The food was still hot after about a 20min drive and it was great. I had the smothered pork chop over potatoes and my one side was macaroni and cheese for $15 and let me tell you full of flavor and I have left overs off of one piece of meat and I usually finish one from anywhere else. Great food and will be returning, and the kool-aid was so good reminded me of my great aunts who is gone.

Soulful Street Bites is phenomenal, I'm not sure I could even get it enough stars or words to explain how good it is. I ordered to-go and was greeted as soon as I came in, the taller gentleman who took my order was extremely friendly and professional. I got the small brisket Mac, banana pudding, okra, and peach cobbler. I didn't even have to wait more than 5 minutes and everything was ready and extremely fresh. Took about 10 minutes to get home and everything was still hot, I tried the okra first; crispy, seasoned, fresh - then the brisket Mac, I can't speak highly of this enough the container is about a size you would expect and it was literally half brisket half Mac, there is no skimping out here they are FEEDING you, it was a 11/10. The desserts; banana pudding is full of homemade pudding, banana and cookie -tasted rich, buttery, not too sweet and just exactly perfect. The cobbler is served warm and has large, juicy, fresh peaches and a great amount of crust. Worth any drive, worth waiting in line for and I can't wait to go back and try the oxtails.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant on January 27, 2025 (First time) and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food on the visit and to receive extra items to sample. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the friendly service, and the care taken to cook/prepare their food separately, allowing us to enjoy a variety of meats and vegetables without compromise. (We do not eat seafood or pork) We've also ordered takeout on January 30, 2025 and every meal has been delicious. One day, we’ll definitely dine in. Thanks for the great experience! Had a truly delicious and authentic meal here today! Everything tasted the way that it was SUPPOSED to taste! Every side was made perfectly. The catfish was very fresh and flavored precisely! I had the Friday special and ordered 5 sides, which were too many but ALL of them were great. The greens, broccoli rice, yams, cabbage & mac. I'll definitely be coming back, and very soon! This mights become a weekly stop that I make!

staff were nice just a bit cramped as far as seating love the atomosphere food was good but some things ie could not be served or smothered pork chops because the gravy wasn't ready.

This atmosphere is very soulful, love that and what they’re trying to do. The chicken wings were good but the red beans and rice had little flavor and very soupy, half of it was just plain rice.

Saw this restaurant on social media and it did not disappoint! My catfish was fried to perfection, the macaroni and cheese was creamy and cheesy, and the cabbage was full of flavor. The portions size were more than I could ask for, so I had my leftovers for lunch the next day and they were still good! I ordered a drink as well and let's just say after my food and a portion of my drink, sleep was calling my name.

We’ve tried the Irving new location. I had the Just the Catfish appetizer and it was really good and a huge portion too it’s like a whole meal. However my friends had the ribs and they founded it too salty and tough too. The mac and cheese brisket, the brisket was good but the mac and cheese were just ok. Peach cobbler wasn’t it too.

It’s a cute little southern place. We got there at 2:13pm they opened at 2pm on Sunday it was a line. I just knew the food was going to be good from line. It was a 30-35 min wait to finally get in. I ordered the chicken wing dinner macaroni and greens. My daughter catfish bites and chicken tetrazzini my son wing dinner macaroni 2 koolaids and two banana pudding’s $91.04 yes I left a 8.96 tip. I always support black recycle ♻️ the black dollar. The wings was on steroids didn’t eat my daughter fish was bomb seasoned and fresh. The chicken tetrazzini flavorful and macaroni you can see the black pepper. I’m sorry sugar in greens is not it save that sugar for koolaid… PLEASE modify your greens before coming to Frisco 😳🤦🏾‍♀️. Good greens don’t need sugar just smoke meat little garlic powder, onions and seasoning. Please stop giving your customers foil 🤔

It was ok… Nothing to write home about. The wings were good. The rib tips were a little hard. You can tell with the sides they had been microwaved. The greens and the cabbage lost their crunch. The baked beans was the star of the show.

I have been wanting to eat here for over a year, someone made a video and it went viral on TikTok. Maybe my expectations were too high but it didn’t give what i expected or wanted it to give. I ordered chicken wings all flats half regular half lemon pepper extra crispy was my order. The wings were super fatty and extra greasy and if I could guess the grease was old. The greens were ok but it definitely needed more seasoning. The sweet potatoes were rubbery my guess is that they needed to cook longer and definitely could have used more sugar and butter. The broccoli and cheese rice was pretty good just lacking a little bit of seasoning. I also had the boudin egg rolls they were really good with the exception of the weird fat I’m not sure what that was. And the lemon pepper wings were definitely lemony lol. I wish I had a better review but I can’t lie. I would definitely give them another chance but for $70 plus dollars i really want to be able to enjoy it.

The worst thing ever happened! It seemed to be packed, so we waited outside in a line. No issue. Because of the decreasing line, some persons were permitted entry. We were the next to enter. We waited twenty more minutes. A worker promised to return to pick us up, but he never did. Five others simply entered and joined the queue while we were waiting outside. Me and the others simply chose to walk it (we assumed we would have to wait for the person to come collect us). (There are now five individuals in front of us in addition to the others that were inside.) I gave our orders to the young woman behind the counter. Instead, I suggested cabbage greens to her. when our dinner arrived. Cornbread and cabbage greens were absent. There was also no cornbread for my spouse. Each of the three persons I stopped to explain what was missing said, "Okay, they'll bring it out." (It was never released). There was no cabbage on my order, according to a young woman I spoke to at the pickup order station. So we simply walked out.Since we have to wait at the Addison location, the delay was not the problem. Never again (NO SERVER.. NO SERVICE)!

I came in to try the viral bowl I saw on TikTok and was genuinely excited for the experience. As a first-time customer, I wasn’t familiar with the exact name of the bowl and showed the employee the video for clarification. Unfortunately, my interaction with GEGE was disappointing. Instead of politely confirming the name, she responded with “soul food bowl” in a sarcastic tone and began laughing as if something amusing had been said. As a new customer simply asking for guidance, I did not feel welcomed or respected. Overall, the food itself was fine. However, my rating is based on the customer service experience. Professionalism and courtesy are just as important as the quality of the food, especially when interacting with first-time guests. I hope this feedback helps improve future customer interactions.

I am from out of town. I am in the area working and was given this place by a church member to eat at.. The service was awesome. They were nice. I have read the previous reviews maybe somebody talk to them because they was not rude as earlier comment stated they were FAST - I think because they said that they are moving you could not dine in Place nice, vibes nice, kool-aid is to die for, bathrooms clean… I ordered Smothered pork chops over rice & Black Eyed Peas. Black Eyed Peas is good rice good although there was more gravy than anything. When I looked at the menu, it says smothered pork chop”S” with a S so I’m thinking there’s two… NOT! that was one huge pork chop that had MORE FAT than any thing. It wasn’t really tender so I couldn’t cut it with my knife. I had to pick it up with my hand which I had gravy everywhere I went through 100 napkins because they had more gravy than they did rice or meat. Once you pick it up, you think wow they are really generous in their amount of food NOT AGAIN it was more gravy that anything - You had to dig in —-digging and digging to see that you MORE FAT THAN MEAT I ordered a piece of cake, white icing and believe it or not taste it better and is “more filling” than the pork chop. If I had not bought the cake, I would be looking for something to eat. it was simply too too much gravy and TOO TOOO MUCH FAT! I will try them again, but definitely get something different but definitely I won’t be ordering that again

These reviews gotta be fake. Because the catfish was mediocre. The yams had a weird taste. The greens were bland and needed to be cooked down more. And the Mac and cheese was a 1.5 out of 10. If you know anyone that can cook soul food this food will miss the mark. I spent $40!!!!!!! I feel ripped off and would NEVER return.

We use to love this place but recently it has gone down. We called to place a pick up order and the women on the phone immediately said “ go on the website and order”. When we got our order, it was poorly packaged and missing a side of Mac and cheese. This place has really good food but can’t say the same for the customer service. Thank you for your response, but I think you may have missed the point of my review. I clearly stated that my zero-star experience came from the poor packaging of the food, the missing item, and the rude customer service on the phone. Your reply confirmed exactly why I gave such a low rating—because instead of taking accountability, you shifted blame and dismissed my concerns. What does other customers not picking up their orders have to do with your staff being rude to me? That had nothing to do with my situation. As a paying customer, I should not have to excuse bad service or missing food because of what other people do. I truly did love your food, but customer service matters just as much. Until accountability is taken for both the service and packaging—not just a missing side—my review stands. Thank you for your edited updated response.
