If there was a Wichita style of fast Mexican food, this would be it. To succeed for 45 years here you have to make tasty food and it has to be a great value. I've been eating here occasionally all my life and I have never been disappointed. This is fast food Mexican done Wichita style!

I been eating this fast food place for over 25 years and must say that I won't go to another fast food mexican restaurant. Taco shop, taco bell and taco Tico do NOT have the fan base like this store in my opinion 🙃. Be ready to wait in line on Tuesday's or any other day during lunch or dinner rush but their food always pleases. If your a west sider then you definitely know what I'm talking about, if your not then the drive is worth it!

I love Taco Pronto!! Many good items on the menu and they always get my order right at the drive through. There is sometimes a wait, but for good reason. I love the tacos and Sancho. Hubby loves the combo burrito, and the kids love the taco burger!!

I went through the drive through, which had a LONG LINE OF CARS!!! I have always heard the food was great, and I was pleasantly surprised how fast the line moved. The girl at the window was extremely pleasant. My husband and I enjoyed out lunch. I will certainly return!

I've been going here my whole life, and it's by far the best place in Wichita to get a taco, smothered burrito, friend ice cream, or whatever it is your heart desires! If you're not from Wichita, please check out this family owned business! Typically, the line is pretty long, but it's definitely worth the wait! We don't have very many family businesses that's actually delicious, so please help keep this place going for many more years to come!

It's the only Taco Pronto left in Wichita and I hope it stays open forever. Money Saver Combo is the best, everytime. It's great fast food, my favorite quick taco in town. They also have delicious, tiny, crushed ice.

They are always friendly and the food is always good. I just wish that I lived closer. It is more of a Mexican fast food place, not a Restraunt. They have a long history in Wichita.

I want to start off saying this is one of my favorit places to eat in Wichita when it comes to fast food. When I want a beef and cheese burrito I will drive across town for it. And I love the mild sauce. Been going for almost 37 years. I wish there was one on the east side.

Best Tex-mex in Wichita! This isn't the place you go for "authentic" mexican, but sometimes you just need a crunchy taco. Fresh ingredients, clean, and competently staffed. This is one of my favorite spots. Sanchos, burritos, taco salads and more. I recommend the carnitas sancho.

Alot like taco shop, some things were better though. The tostado and enchiladas were very good. Even though they were busy they were very fast and friendly!

This place always takes great care of my family. They have great prices, good food, and very accommodating staff members. We love coming here and love seeing some of the good deals they have; such as their taco Tuesday deals. Their food is always fresh and has great flavor. Everything about this place is great! Always busy on a Tuesday but they still take the time to get your order right. The owner believes in making it right the first time even if it takes a little longer. This is the only one around sadly our old favorite other location was knocked down to make more room for parking spots in a shopping center. Taco Tuesday good food great price and kind people.

Awesome place, very friendly staff! Their hot sauce is not your normal packet paste, it is made fresh and BURNS. The heat goes away pretty quickly though. I asked for their hottest one and was thoroughly pleased. They also have a table with a built in old-school arcade game system, unique and cool as well!

Great quality local Tex-Mex fast food! Definitely love their taco salads! Update 3-3-2024: They've added online ordering via their website! I sure this helps with reducing drive through backup during really busy hours. Thank you, Taco Pronto for this awesome convenience!

Love their tacos! The best hot sauce. Add some jalapenos! Also, their Coke with ice is so delicious. I like it better than Sonic ice. Great taco deals on Tuesday! The best tacos are on Thursday! Don't forget the Fried Ice Cream!

That best in Wichita. Tried it for the first time after driving by for years. Everything was so good but the thing that sets them apart is the ground beef and the pork. Family owned and local. This is our go to place.

This is a fast food place. I am not a fast food kinda girl. But they have really good fried flour tacos and their taco pizza is fire. So if you got to do fast food Mexican food it's your place.

Great food, served fast, and at a good price. The only odd thing I don't care for is they don't have an ice dispenser at the fountain drink station - you have to ask for ice. I'm a big fan of their little taco pizzas with the olives on them. The flour shell tacos are fantastic too!

I never eat at Taco Pronto, but i was looking for something different the other day. What a pleasant surprise. I took my daughters there and they loved it and enjoyed the video games too. Add this one into your rotation for sure!

Tasty food, quick, cheap, and friendly. Good prices for good food! I fed my whole family of 6 for less than $48! And that's including 2 bottomless pit teenage boys. We also got a treat of fried ice cream, and it was very good! Oh, and their ice is the BEST ice! You know, the crushed ice that's soft like snow. The ice alone is worth the whole visit!

We have been here a number of times now. The food has always been pretty good aside from not being as hot as I prefer in some cases. The staff has always been courteous, and the lobby is kept clean. Prices are fair. We normally get whatever the special is that day, especially tacos, sanchos, and taco salad days.

I've been going to Taco Pronto since way back when it was Taco Pete. The food is always fresh and hot and great size portions. My only concern is the last few times I've gone thru the drive thru they have forgot one of the items I order. I should check it I know but never before just recently has this been an issue. Happened again tonight. Got all the way home just to discover they forgot our tostado. That's all my daughter wanted was this and now I've got to find something to make her. She's not happy and it's annoying because we paid for this. Actually the last 3 items forgotten were tostados. Other than that my family loves Taco Pronto

Was in the mood for fast Mexican food and my wife and I decided to give this place a try. We were both very happy with what we had. My smothered burrito was very good and good sized in comparison to other fast food places. The fried flour tacos were also very good. Food was not thrown together and well prepared. This place is definitely a step above the other fast food chains and not any more expensive. Looking forward to returning.

Quick serve Mexican at its finest. This establishment has a very long history with a loyal following. You can’t go wrong with a bean and cheese burrito, crunchy tacos and a taco burger. I always try to stop in while I’m on the west side.

There is no comparable family-owned establishment that surpasses Pronto. There is no other place that compares to the undeniable explosion of flavor. Don't hesitate to try those side rice and beans. If you do, you may miss your chance at that time.

Taco Pronto has been my favorite fast food taco since 2003!! I still miss the location on Central. Hard corn taco with medium sauce and a combo burrito with medium sauce can't be beat!!

I am a 30+ years customer of this small business. Last week, I complained the temperatures of the taco meat were uncharacteristicly too cool during my last 5 visits. The owner immediately said he'd fix this and HE DID!! I returned today for a very late lunch. The taco meat was hot and my meal was delicious! THE OWNER LISTENED! Thank you! Coming from Florida, we don’t really have many options except just Taco Bell really. I’ve been trying all the other taco places like taco shop, taco Tico, etc., but this place was one that I had not tried yet. Needless to say I’ll be coming back more often to this particular taco place. Food was really good, affordable and tasted very well. Service was excellent.

Everything has been consistent, except for the soda quality. For the price you guys really need to make sure the carbonation to syrup ratio is correct. More often than not the drinks taste too syrupy. Other than that please keep loading the tacos fully

A newly found gem for my family. We were passing through town and looked for a good taco place that was priced well. We stopped here and were very impressed! The prices are great. The food isn't too greasy like many fast food joints. They have a great variety of food, the place was clean, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and there is very adequate parking. As always the food was fresh,hot and tasted great. The products actually have an appropriate amount of meat,, unlike chain restaurants that might put a couple teaspoons in the product and full or with veges. Of fast food burritos its one of the best you can get. Sometimes their food is super greasy. One time they forgot to add any spice to the meat. I noticed the blond haired boy at the counter looked at us to see our reaction. Other than that though. The taste is fantastic. They have shaved ice for the ice in your soda. The establishment is usually fairly clean for a fast food restaurant. There better than most Mcdonalds about getting your food right. Every once in a while they get it wrong but their pretty expedient about handling the issue. I would recommend it to any of my friends whom love a mom and pop shop that serves delicious but often greasy burritos. :)

Love this local Mexican fast food shop. Nice owners and crew. Only reason for not 5 stars is the food is SLIGHTLY inconsistent. Nothing to stop from going, but just a little more lettuce sometimes, rice is sometimes "more soupy" than others, but always plenty of meat and cheese, my favorites. And a good value to boot.

For several years now since closing the location at Central and ridge You can bank on a long line. Whether you use the drive-thru or you go in to order there will always be a wait. Food is always delicious however I've noticed in the drive through often mistakes are made salsa has been left out of orders on several occasions.

One of those places when you get back to Wichita is a must stop in and enjoy. Have gotten to share with now my grandchildren. I first enjoyed their menu when they were across the street from where there are today on Central. That has been a while back. They are still my favorite for tacos

More of a homemade taste than anything compared to locals taco shop on taco tico. It was real meat and you could tell. Pretty good. Fresh veggies. The ladies working the central location were rude over the phone so I went to 21st. The staff there were nice. Food is affordable.

Been here a few times taco bell use to be a go to place. Pronto is SO MUCH BETTER for the $. Got our order of 4-9 in taco deluxes and it was only 4 small tacos. Here's the point called and talked to Rocky he gave me a choice to go in or put my name in book we will see how things go at a later date butttt. He was so cool and understanding compared to most people who DONT CARE ANYMORE. MY order was WRONG but I'm DEFINITELY going back. Thanks Rocky for CARING.

The food was delicious and the girl that took our order was friendly but the gentleman that was calling out the numbers was rude and was arguing with my brother in law about calling our number but none of us at our table heard our number called and someone else took our order and ate some it and brought it up and the guy took the taco off of the other tray and put it on our tray and made two more tacos. The eating area was extremely cold, not a fan of eating my meal with cold air blowing on me

Ordered a taco salad to go, the one three days ago was delicious, the one tonight, no tomatoes they were out and my whole salad was cold. We Live 5 minutes away so it didn't take long to get home. Will definitely go back but hope next time

You know what? That food was actually delicious. It actually tasted like if Mexican food was fast food. Not that its real Mexican food but that if Mexican food were fast food this is the place youd go. The Taco Burgers are nowhere near as good as its competitors but the rest of the food is delicious. Their nachos were amazing. They even had a cheaper meal option that will actually fill you up. I for sure plan to come back and if I lived near one id become a regular. The service was fine. We went during a lull around 3 on Super Bowl Sunday and had some very strange vibes since we were 7 hours into a 10 hour road trip and hadn't eaten since breakfast. Plus they were closing in an hour for the Super Bowl. Yet the service was fine. Not amazing or anything just normal. I think she realized I was new even though my mom had been there before. Then she started helping more and making things clearer for us. Still I would recommend.

Called in to place an order for pick up that was asking for extras (unavailable on online orders) on items. Gentlemen who answered the phone asked me to hold, but didnt place me on hold, made numerous snide remarks about how they offered online ordering, and called me an idiot... I am sure he had no idea the line was live and I could hear everything he was saying, but...I hung up the phone and we havent ordered from them in 6 months.(usually a two to three time a month customer who tipped at 80% of order total for the employees) Ordered on line tonight and found they now offer delivery. Food was good. Would love to be able to add or subtract items (extra this, no that). They do it in the drive thru, but in my experience they charge for it but dont actually give it to you. I do appreciate the delivery service and have missed our "go to" mexican craving restaurant.

After driving past this restaurant many many times, usually seeing lots of people there, we decided to give it a try. It was a delicious discovery! My pulled pork, soft tacos and smothered beef burrito were delicious. You order at the counter, menu items are a la carte, self serve refillable drinks, very fast service. If you like tacos, or burritos, you have to try this restaurant. Portions are generous, price is reasonable, food is great.

Locally owned. Fair prices. Fast service. Better than competing fast food taco joints. Cheap unhealthy fast food though. They're really cheap on the ice. They prefill your cup with ice and you have to wait in line for a refill. They use the environmentally harmful Styrofoam cups instead of paper.

The service was fast, no problems there, and the lady was nice at the window. There's a similar type Taco experience right down the street that is much better if we're talking about food that compares. There wasn't hardly anything on the tacos I got,and the shells were barely cooked. You know how they are hard and chewy, not crunchy when they're not cooked, they were like that. I've actually never been here before, just stopped for the convenience of it. I'm one of those guys who would rather go somewhere I know I'm going to love if I'm going to spend my hard earned money, I apologize to anyone this offends, but this isn't one of those places.

Me and my brother used to ride our bikes to the original location back in the 80's. Whenever I'm visiting Wichita, I ALWAYS make a trip to get some. It's STILL delicious!

Average tacos and drive thru was decently fast.

Last night we had dinner here around 6, asked to have our enchiladas reheated. No big deal. The dark haired girl in sweat pants was very rude, she reheated our food but acted like it was an issue. Hope to have better experience in the future.

Decided to give this place a try after driving by it so times. Honestly it was just ok nothing really stood out. The taco meat was very salty and the nachos had more chips than toppings and hardly any cheese. I will say though that they do pack the burritos and tacos with a bunch of filling. Service was not that friendly no one smiled or greeted us. They seemed more annoyed that we were even there.

Food is fine. Service is poor. More than once recently they don't fill orders correctly...missing items of course!...never extra items. Lol! Today I called about a missing Sancho.They apologized & said next time they would give it to me....I've already paid for it!!! So I didnt get to eat my dinner...I guess its no big deal to them. It wasn't as if they were busy...in fact I was the only car in the drive thru. Their desire to do the bare minimum for their mistake & customers inconvenience is unbelievable especially since they advertise as a family run business who cares. Just go to Taco Shop.

My family has been eating here several times a month for almost ten years. Awesome fast Mexican food. However, I am disappointed that not only do none of the staff wear masks, but more recently, the owner seemed irritated that I was wearing one.

I've eaten there twice in the last month. Never again. Both times I was charged for food I never got. The ground beef was greasy; my taco dripped grease. Grease dripped on my Dad's shirt- staining it. The cheese in my enchilada wasn't melted. Charge for cups of water too.

They used to always be my go to fast food Mexican food. Everything changed, it used to be so good but then the meat started tasting different. Almost like it got greasier each time and different flavor. We have been going here for years so we kept giving it more chances then we really should have. Quality of the food dropped so bad. I decided it was the last time when I got drive thru and the bun of the taco burger was cold and hard with very little meat in it.

I always do the drive thru and ask for my sauce to be on the side in the bag. Literally 4 out of 5 visits, there is no sauce in the bag when I get home. Going to make the decision to not go back.

How on earth does this place have a rating above four stars!!!??? I wanted so bad to like this place because it’s close to my house and I just moved here. My thing is chicken tacos and this place has totally fake chicken that tastes like some sort of rubber. I couldn’t even make myself eat it. Money lost and I’ll never be back. Girl taking my order doesn’t know how to smile and it’s obvious that she hates her job.

Could not get my order right after multiple trips to the counter tryin to explain it. Food is bland. This is exactly what one would expect if a Karen claimed to make homemade Mexican food.

Very disappointed. We ordered corn shell beef tacos tonight and I can't believe how terrible they are. Very little meat or sauce. One of our tacos had ball of meat the size of a quarter and nothing but lettuce. The only taste is that of the corn shell. Couldn't even finish our first taco so we just threw them out and headed to taco tico. Tico is miles ahead and much more satisfying which is crazy because this kind of food is so basic. The taco pronto location at central and ridge was much better but has since closed. It's a shame. Hopefully they step up.

I went in and stood in front by the registers to give my order. No one came to take it. I got looked at twice by employees. No one came to take my order. Kid was standing messing with salsas in a tub stacking them pretty of what not. Looked at me twice and went back to playing with salsa. I call to complain and the “manager” so he said sounds about 16 and did nothing. Offered nothing to resolve the situation just awful. Never going again regardless of how much I love their food. Just horrible customer service.

Umm. First time here, so yeah dude's the chicken I think 🤔 is canned, The rice is mushy. I actually throw out $30 of food after taking one bite 🤣, that's wild. Has no flavor, no seasoning it's like they just tossed stuff in the tray and called it food.

Haven’t had much issues until recently, ordered 6 tacos; got home meat was (plain). Within 4-6hours woke up sick and vomiting. My food was ordered during rush hour between 545pm-630pm. When the manager is working everything the food is very good on days or evenings when he’s not the younger kids become careless.

This was the absolute worst food I have ever had. The rice was beyond mush with a layer of cheese on top inside of melted styrofoam container. The lid was also melted on my rice. The beef was so bland. My wife ordered a chicken Monterey combo and got a fried flour tortilla with refried beans maybe 3 pieces of chicken half a head of lettuce and cheese and literally 8 chips. Forgot all the sauces. No i didnt go talk to a manager because I was all the way home in Sedgwick by the time we realized this. Biggest waste of money. So disappointed. We had such high hopes. We threw out the food and had to go to McDonald's to eat "actual food."

Stop in to get Tacos for my Grankids . I purchased two party box ( 12 tacos in each box). They charged me 11.99 for the corn tacos and 31.08 for the flour (soft) tacos. I was very surprised that the charge for soft tacos was so high. I talked to the manager and he stated all they have is the 11.99 tacos for corn ones . They do not have a 11.99 price for the soft ones. They charge the each taco rate which is 2.59 each. I think this is a ripoff to the customer. So be aware of this when you go to Taco Pronto

It's like pulling teeth to get more than 2 sauces for 24 tacos. We asked for additional due to only getting 2 sauces for 24 tacos. They acted as if they were annoyed and handed us 1 more taco sauce. Is this not a taco/Mexican place? We told them we would even pay for more sauces if we needed to. It is just frustrating. I'm hoping that taco sauce isn't going to break the bank for them. Ordered rice, meat and cheese and they melted the Styrofoam and instead of making a new one they just added a cup underneath so the entire thing smelled and tasted like melted Styrofoam. The boy at the window was rude and rolled his eyes at absolutely every. thing. He filled our cherry limeade 3/4 full if not less and I asked for it to be full and he rolled his eyes and slammed the window. He handed us our bags and we asked If there were mild sauces in there and he said "yes" with an eye roll and we looked and there were not. So we said there weren't any in there and asked for 4 or 5 MILD sauces. He came back with 4 sauces, we get home to find out they are all marked HOT and are hot sauces. It's so annoying!

Service is excellent. But food OMG i wont feed it to my dog!!! Like seriously that was the most disgusting burrito i ever had. How is that suppose to be chicken, rice and cheese burrito. Are u guys seriously selling that Trash!
