First time here. We went for the 4 course Valentine's Day meal. Great food and great presentation. Decent drink menu and the normal menu looks great, too! We'll be back.
We've been a couple times now and love the atmosphere and food. Have not been disappointed with any of the apps, entrées, drinks or dessert selections we've had. Staff are friendly.
What a great experience from the moment we walked in. Carly, our server was only on her 3rd shift, but she still knew a lot about the menu, and what she didn't know, she went and found out. Todd the manager was super helpful in selecting a wine, and the meals were great. The cherry on the top though, was when they brought out a complimentary dessert for our son celebrating his 360th month - this was because we had just had the conversation about how old a baby needs to be before we stop referring to their age in months! What a nice touch!
This was my second visit to Vora, and everything was so amazing! I ordered the Scallops and they were really the best I've ever had! Our server was amazing and so much fun! For dessert... I had the smores martini, not only was it beautiful, it was also delicious!
Great menu! Setting is nice too and the drink menu is filled with fancy beverages.
This was an unexpected gem sitting in a beautiful area of Wichita. Oh man, that is absolutely the best fried calamari I have ever had perfect breading, no tough parts, great flavor, and a parmesean bowl to boot. Wait staff was phenomenal and super responsive. The rest of the food had exceptional flavor that left everyone satisfied. This is the perfect place for a date night, birthday, or business lunch.
This was our first time there. Went for our anniversary. Our server, Michael, was the best. Thank you! The food was amazing! I ordered the Culiflower steak with a side of the Saffron Risotto, DELISH! We will definitely be back.
Tracy was my server and she was great . Very knowledgeable with the wine selection which is definitely good to know she helped me out with an appetizer and some main dishes she's been there for a couple years so she knows what she's talking about and it was awesome the atmosphere was great the ambiance was great the only thing was they wouldn't let me take any pictures of the kitchen which I don't understand why from the dining area not from the kitchen... Every place I've been in has let me take pictures.. but I will say that the chef said he would invite me back at a time when he felt comfortable for me to take pictures cuz I know they were extremely swamped that night so I do appreciate that gesture thank you to the head CHEF... Definitely five ⭐
We had brunch this morning here. It was great! Friendly service, good cappuccino and lots of booths for more intimate conversations. We had the pancakes and the salmon Benedict. Both were good size portions with great flavors. I recommend this place if you want more of an experience for brunch versus just eating eggs and bacon at a diner.
We had a great time at Vora. Our server, Hannah was awesome! She did a great job of taking care of us on a very busy Friday night. We couldn’t make a reservation, but the staff did a great job communicating, and getting us a table in a matter of minutes. Vora had a great atmosphere with modern background music which wasn’t too loud. We started off with some cocktails and a calamari dish that was made to perfection. The salmon and the steak were both tasted phenomenal. The steak especially was cooked just like how I requested it, juicy and tender. This was our first time dining here, and we will be back in summer for that outside dining experience!
We rented out their private room for our wedding dinner and had the most amazing experience. From the coordinating leading up to, to the food & service it was perfect. They let us pick table clothe colors, set up the room exactly as requested, let us bring our cake in the day before, and even made us a customized menu with a specialty drink of our choice. It’s always been a fav restaurant for date night but they really impressed us with such a large group (60 people)! The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for our wedding night. Classy, elegant, & fun! (Ps. The lasagna is AMAZING and my favorite dish)
What a wonderful place. We had a small hiccup when our food was served. It was handled by our waitress and management before I had a chance to bring it up. Management was very attentive and more than made up for the error. The food was amazing, and the service was great. I loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
We love Vora! Our favorite is the beef stroganoff! Excellent food and service!
Wow amazing fresh food!! Way to start of the meal with calamari and it was amazing! The pesto complemented the calamari perfectly. I also ordered the burrata and it was so yummy too!! For my entree I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. On the menu it said that the entree came with 3 meatballs my entree dame with 5 meatballs!! Portions are very big which is great for sharing!!
The food here is amazing! Can't wait to go back and try some more off the menu. Plenty to choose from too. The flavor from each item was spot on. Worth the price. They even gave us a free dessert and 2 shots for our anniversary.
Vora is a nice sit down place in the college hill area. Indoor and outdoor seating. College hill is a fun area of Wichita to spend an evening. People come to Vora dressed up a little more than an average date night. Very modern European feel inside. We called ahead to make a reservation. Didn’t have to wait long and we went at 7:30 on a Saturday night. The staff was very attentive to us. The waitress checked on us all the time, which I surely appreciate. She recommended wines that were popular and also her personal favorites (we asked). The burrata appetizer comes with bread and along with salami, it does have cheese and a really good pesto that I enjoyed. They do bring you bread to enjoy while you wait. Calamari was cooked great and tasted really good. My entree was lasagna and I was impressed with it. Came out nice and hot and tasted very fresh as promised. There is also a bar you can sit at and enjoy a meal if you don’t want a table. Lights are a little dim and the mood is nice for a romantic night out. A lot of birthdays were celebrated. Just let them know and they’ll bring out a firework candle with vanilla ice cream. Very nice touch to celebrate a birthday by the restaurant. Overall I’d definitely take or recommend someone to go eat there if they are visiting Wichita.
This is a great place to go for brunch with your friends or significant other. Perfect for an easy going weekend morning. They accept reservations through open table (which I used) so we had no problem getting in on a Sunday morning. Vora offers a mix of items on their menu featuring menu items you can order from their dinner menu, as well as, items exclusively part of their brunch menu. My friends and I enjoyed the Gnocchi Fritti to start. It came out warm and had the most delicious and creamy mushroom pesto sauce paired with it. (My friend kept the remaining sauce to top of his country potatoes. 10/10 recommend). We each ordered something different: The Works, The Frittata and the Stuffed French Toast. While we didn’t partake in any of their cocktails, I was quick to note that they offer mimosas by the glass or by the carafe - with each carafe just an additional $5! I’ll be back to try their cocktails and dinner menu soon.
Celebrated my special birthday at Vora. This was my and my family's 1st time having dinner at Vora, and the service, food, ambience exceeded my/our expectations! Thanks for the fun and yummy birthday surprise at the end of my meal! Very enjoyable!!
Great service by Alexis, very attentive and knowledgeable. I give 4-Stars to the food because I had the camalari and it is nothing to brag about, it’s cut too thick and it was missing salt, not a deal breaker but it can be better. I also tried the Filet (pictured) the sauce was very good the filet I did order medium well but it was well done (not a deal breaker), mashed potatoes needs improvement, it tastes like the ones you get in a box and then they poured pepper into it to hide the flavor. Had a great experience overall, and Alexis made me feel welcome at this restaurant. Will probably come back to taste the burger that looks promising.
After a couple of visits, I really do love coming here for dinner. The food is awesome and the service is even better. My wife loves the bread and oil. I always forgot to grab pictures of the food , but every plate looks just as good as it tastes. I want to try the brunch one of these days.
I really like it here, the food is delicious
Let me say that this is the BEST chicken & waffles I have ever had and that means a lot. I have had chicken & waffles from just about every "brunch" place in and around Kansas and none of them have the crispy, spicy, and sweet taste that these tenders have with that amazing pepper syrup sauce. Another thing that makes food taste even better is when you get great service. That is something that Vora does not lack. Both the greeter and the waitress were really nice and I appreciate a place that allows us to choose where we sit even if we only have two people. I would definitely recommend coming here and I will absolutely come back!
From the drinks to the calamari appetizer, and the amazing entrees, Vora knocked it out of the park. If you order a pasta, I suggest you add salmon. It has a wonderful smokey flavor to it. One of the best things I've ever tasted.
My friends and I were really impressed with the food and cocktails. We tried the salmon tortellini, French dip soup, filet, and we were celebrating my birthday so they brought out the big sparkling candle in ice cream for us. Most the times when I order steak it ends up being a little lack luster. This filet was literally amazing. Perfectly crisp outside but still medium rare inside and the red wine butter and Demi glaze complimented it so well! Service was fine. Waited on our first drinks for 10 minutes but they were fairly busy at 7:30 when we arrived so no big deal. The server seemed less than enthusiastic about taking care of us but still did a good job. I’ll definitely be returning.
1/2 price martinis on Thursday!! I love the lasagna…they have so many great options to try!!
This restaurant is lovely. Went in with high expectations because the Wine Dive is a favorite. It did not disappoint. The escargot was served traditionally in the shell and was perfectly seasoned. The french onion soup was very good. The surprise was there were seasoned croutons used instead of bread giving it an interesting extra flavor. The veal was very tender and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables and the sauce was just a little spicy. The crispy half duck was cooked to perfection and was a very large portion served with mashed potatoes, green beans almandine. They served a fresh bread with crushed red pepper and spices in olive oil. This was refreshing and a change of pace as the bread was unique and most restaurants are serving olive oil and balsamic. We saved room for dessert and the 4 chocolate cake with chocolate ganache was to die for. This was s great meal, our waitress Kendra was a delight knowing just when to be there and kept the timing just right. This is a definite go to
I had an incredible dining experience at Vora European Restaurant in Wichita. From start to finish everything was flawless. The food was outstanding, beautifully plated, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with real care and skill. Every dish was memorable and full of flavor. The wine selection was just as impressive. Our server helped us choose the perfect pairing and it elevated the entire meal. Smooth, rich, and exactly what we were looking for. The service from Miles M was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and had perfect timing throughout the night. He offered excellent recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and genuinely made the evening feel special. If you want an unforgettable dining experience in Wichita, Vora is the place. Amazing food, great wine, and service that truly stands out. Be sure to ask for Miles M.
Date night with my beautiful bride, and Vora absolutely delivered! ✨ The bistro steak was cooked to perfection, amazing flavor and seasoning, and my wife loved the special, the Alaskan cod. Huge shout-out to our waitress, Celeste, she was wonderful!
The atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing. It was a fantastic experience that my wife and I enjoyed. All of the food was delicious. The only complaint is that the price is a little bit higher than expected. Overall though, no egregious complains.
We’ve been to Vora a few times over the last few years and have had wonderful experiences each time. From being greeted to being thanked on the way out, everything in between is exemplary. We appreciate the ever evolving menu the most!
I just love coming here with my daughters. Great drinks, great service, great atmosphere. Steak, now I did have an issue with it not being cooked correctly and not being seasoned. We're still coming back. They also forgot to bring my daughter's day dessert.
Im not usually into restaurants that I dont understand the menu being a average guy from small town kansas but the waitress really helped me and my significant other figure out what we wanted and was such a pleasant experience for her birthday overall. thanks Vora!
We have been to Vora multiple times and each time is always a pleasure. My husband has severe food allergies and this is one of the few places in which we can eat. Our plates are always empty. The staff is friendly & attentive. Totally recommend.
I went a couple weekends ago with some friends and everything was amazing. Service was spot on, food was delicious. I had the salmon …best salmon I have ever had. We did have a little bit of a wait with our reservation, but I understand that you can’t always predict how long people are going to stay!
I went solo and appreciated how peaceful the spot was. Aside from some chatter, it’s a very calm setting. The food was pretty good. My drink was a bit too strong - which I’m sure probably isn’t a problem depending on personal preference. I would go back just so I can try the soup next time. My waiter was very attentive as well - which you usually don’t get much when you’re by yourself. So I appreciated that.
I had the artichoke which was great. I'd choose a different pasta or another dish next time. The button pasta lacked seasoning. There wasn't much pancetta so every bite I got was savored because it was the only salt I got out of the dish. Service was great at the bar. I'd come back if in the area again.
Got seated right away since it was early dinner/late lunch. It is a busy place so reservation will help decrease the wait time. I cannot remember our waiter name but she was helpful for a big group. You can tell they care about their food presentation and the chef does amazing job. Food is delicious. If you are ordering the duck, be aware it is a very small portion for the price. It is a pricey restaurant and small portion so be ready. Good food though. The mock-tail drinks are good too. Bathroom is clean. Will definitely come back for happy hours to check it out.
The restaurant was elegant, beautiful lighting, nice roomy booths for a quiet dinner. The staff was friendly and efficient. I will be going back to enjoy happy hour on the patio! Best calamari in town, hands down. We had the smoked salmon tortellini and prime rib. The salmons smoky flavor was definitely the strongest taste of the dish, I won't order that again, however, I'm happy to try other menu items. I gave it 4 stars, just because the main course was not our favorite. But, the over all experience was excellent.
This was my 2d stop after getting my hair done. Elegant, well decorated restaurant with a variety of menu offerings. The food was so good I came back 2 days later for their happy hour between 3p - 6p. The Rockefeller oysters, mussels and frites, I enjoyed the most. Their Parisian chicken was good, the affogato for dessert was delectable. Service was hit and miss. The waitress was friendly, but the lady that brought the dessert and the guy that brought my wine was snobby. No greeting and they just looked mad. Disappointing. If you want great service, sit at the bar.
Service was awesome. Came in to celebrate our 12 year anniversary and decided to go somewhere we haven't been. We ordered an array of entrees and we all tried each others dishes. Food was overall good but hands down service is what made Vora a great place to go.
Went here for my oldest daughter's birthday. The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. She had very good suggestions as well. Thank you for a great dining experience. First time there, I'll be back.
This was actually a little challenging too late because I wanted to go with three stars but that is low to me. It was a special treat for my daughter's birthday and we had a good time. Honestly, nothing was amazing and for price, I may have had higher expectations. There are several inconsistencies. From what I understood it was more of an upper class restaurant but it seemed similar to many others or nothing stood out anyway. It was very crowded, very crowded. He had a hard time walking to get to your seat or to the restroom, and pulling out your chair. They do have an interesting selection of food and since I came a little late, Unfortunately did not hear the special which is what I would have got. They do have a risotto, goat cheese croquettes, duck, different chicken entrees and seasoned to have the larger variety of seafood. I wanted to try the duck but is a very small portion. I'm very picky so I did have a little bit of a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to eat and drink actually. There were 3 different types of steaks that I was not familiar with nor were there any ribeyes lol. There was a 10 oz hanger steak with cognac sauce, 6 oz choice beef tenderloin with garlic herb butter, add a 12 oz prime strip with calabrian chili butter. I do believe one of them is a less expensive cut of steak but butchers keep them for themselves because of the quality and possibly tenderness. I believe that is the prime strip and is what I got. Although I was able to modify my order, instead of the calabrian sauce, I got the garlic butter which is how they cooked the other steak. I wanted the garlic butter but I Believe the marbling and the quality of steak of steak that I got would be more to my liking. In my opinion, it does not compare to a good ribeye. Nothing was unedible unless you weren't sure what it was and did not like it which in my case was the large goat cheese croquettes, I believe. I wasn't sure what it was but I was hoping it was mashed potatoes in it lol! The grilled asparagus and broccolini was pretty good eat much broccoli. Same goes for whatever they call the bread and the oil that you dip it in as a starter that they provide. I don't eat much oils or dips like that, nor bread but it was very good. Although, the way the bread was cooked was inconsistent throughout. Either way I was surprisingly impressed that I tried it and really liked it! They ended up having to bring a little more out! They had an interesting selection of cocktails that I was unsure of also in addition to the simple syrup or flavoring added to the daiquiris for example. Uncertain if they have different flavors to choose from. I do not drink very often either. Although my daughter suggested and ordered me a drink called Sapphire nights Since she knew it was sweet. It was also pretty. It did not seem to have much liquid in it because of the large ice cube in it. But that large ice cube I believe was purple and it was delicious! I had to figure out how to break and bite into it! It is a butterfly pea flower tea ice cube. So I really enjoyed it! My other daughter tried it and decided to get one. It did not taste the same at all. Although, I got to drink that one too even though it was not near as good as my first one. Several other members in our party experience the same thing with different Martinis including the espresso martini and s'mores Martini. I personally feel like these specialty drinks should be consistent and made correctly no matter who makes them. I could understand if different cooks or cooking the same order and it comes out a little different but the drinks were unfortunate. Although you can be sure I would order another sapphire nights! Everything was just very costly. On that note also, my steak was a little undercooked but it was okay. On a good note, they brought my daughter out and birthday dessert and sparkling candle which is pretty neat in addition to a shot for everyone at the table! I'm not sure if those were provided or paid for by a member in the party. Needless to say, I was really enjoying myself
The two of us stopped in for brunch on Sunday. There was no wait at 11 am. The atmosphere was nice with a median noise level. The kitchen isn't open to view but you can hear the activity from the dining room which I find oddly comforting. Our server Megan was pleasent, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We enjoyed her smile and infectious enthusiasm. I had the Vora omelet which came out with a side of quartered potatoes O'brien. The potatoes were prepared perfectly, crunchy out and firm but soft in. My omelet was delicious with earthy flavors, creamy smooth mozerella and a satisfying crunchy kale. My wife had the brunch burger. She said the burger was well prepared and had a good variety of flavors but she thought the jalapeno jam was a bit overly sweet. She stated the fries were the star of her plate adding that the aoli was wonderful. I had coffee with my meal and I was surprised at the smooth flavor with no need for cream or sugar. Overall we had an enjoyable experience and will definitely return.
Three Runners, Zero Clean Plates, and One Deep Regret Fresh off our weekly river run—sweaty and high on endorphins—we wanted brunch that felt like a reward. The kind of food that makes you close your eyes and softly moan while chewing. Normally, we’d head to The Belmont, where we devour our plates with the enthusiasm of chocolate Labradors and occasionally discuss whether licking them in public is technically rude. But no. We strayed. There’s a friend—a devoted dad with a permanent brunch invite—who’s never needed fancy restaurants because he insists he can recreate any dish he likes in his own kitchen. He calls places like Vora “hoity toity,” not because he doesn’t know better, but because he’d rather have a good burger than a plate that looks like a chemistry experiment. Loved by everyone, tolerated by necessity, his invite is irrevocable. That’s his go-to term for anywhere with cloth napkins and entrées spelled in French. And while I genuinely believe he has the palate for upscale dining, he never really gives his tongue the chance. Still, we took it as a challenge. Seduced by the siren song of novelty and the restaurant’s sterile elegance—part luxury spa, part airport lounge, all echo—we sat outside on the patio, where at least the sun had some warmth… unlike the food, the room, or the mood. We didn’t order mimosas. Not because we’re boring, but because we were brave. We wanted to taste the food unfiltered, unblended, un-orange-juiced. Water only. Clarity. Which, in hindsight, was our first mistake. The food arrived, plated like it was headed to a magazine shoot instead of our mouths. It was all very... composed. Like a salad trying to win a Grammy. Eggs arrived wearing cherry tomatoes like a bad hat, and everything was sprinkled with the confidence of someone who just discovered flaky salt and thinks it solves everything. But here’s the thing: you can dress an egg in heirloom tomatoes, hollandaise sauce, and emotional backstory—but it’s still just an egg. And if that egg is overcooked and underseasoned? You’ve basically got lipstick on a pig, and not even a fun pig. A disappointing, flavorless pig. All three of us left our food unfinished, which is a statistical anomaly. At Belmont, the plates get licked. At Vora, they got left behind like a Tinder date who wouldn’t stop talking about their kombucha journey. Would I return? Only if someone else is paying. And ordering for me. And I’m slightly tipsy. Actually, fully drunk. We’ll be back at Belmont next Saturday, licking plates and memories, because some traumas are worth forgetting—and others are worth avoiding altogether.
This was our first visit. My daughter chose this restaurant for her birthday and the food was wonderful. The only issue I had was with the “cake cutting” fee. I called the restaurant prior to our reservation and spoke to Alicia I believe, asking if it was okay to bring our own cake in with us. She said it was and told us it was $2 a person for the “cake cutting” fee. Which was completely fine. Michael our server asked if we wanted the cake on a platter and we did. He brought it out with a special lit candle, put the cake on the table and walked away. He did not ask if we needed plates or silverware nor did we see him for awhile after that. We made due with what was left on the table. When he finally came to check on us again we asked for our checks as we were ready to leave. We were all charged $4 for the “cakeage fee” (stated on the receipt). If this fee went up, please let your employees know so they are providing the correct information.
We were there this evening for dinner, tasting some dishes because we were interested in having an event there. We will have a lot of vegetarians at this event, so I ordered they Cauliflower Steak. The “steak” was not a steak at all. It was a completely bland head of boiled cauliflower. Not one bit of seasoning on it. Literally a boiled head. When we lifted it, there was barely a difference in color-not a good sear with char as you would expect on a cauliflower steak. The pesto was plopped on top with some jarred and bland sun dried tomatoes. The fingerling potatoes has zero seasoning. Again, zero flavor. Not a pinch of salt. The red pepper coulis was bland and cold. Not sure if that was on purpose but it was not good. The entire dish was the most flavorless thing I have had in a long time. $17?? We returned that dish. My daughter had the chicken ratatouille. The plating looked sort of promising…but the theme of no flavor was continued. Not one bit of salt or seasoning on the veggies. The chicken was dry and over cooked enough that the blob of pesto on it didn’t even help. The whipped potatoes were good in texture but the flavor was odd. But hey at least it had a bit of flavor. We had them box that up in the hopes that someone at home would eat it for leftovers. Our server was very nice. The atmosphere was loud, definitely not a place to go if you want to have a quiet dinner. It’s rather open so you hear everyone’s conversations. They had a huge wine menu so maybe that is their thing? We don’t know. We just know that for an even where we will have a nice dinner for 55 people, it was NOT worth the price.
Went out for a birthday dinner on 2/13. Used the bathroom prior to the meal and saw kitchen staff not wash their hands. From what I heard in there they should have.. My wife got sick after, so I guess we should have walked. It stinks not being able to trust food at an otherwise nice place like this because of the quality of the kitchen staff. Our server Michael was great.
Large birthday party of 10, perhaps it was to many. Inconsistent would be the word I would use. Breadsticks brought out with dipping sauce. Some of the breadsticks were raw. Some of them were fairly crispy..3 plates of dipping sauce one was all olive oil. The one in the middle was so thick with spices you couldn’t handle it and the other one at the far end of the table was mostly oil too. One order of the prime rib on special was cooked just right. The next person ordered medium rare and it came out well done. Pork shank, my brother had was excellent, My French dip was god-awful. The meat was thin and so well done It was like jerky The cheese had been sitting in so long it was a lump. Grilled Broccolini had been steamed no char and undercooked. One risotto very good, One a very firm lump of undercooked rice.
I would like to start out by saying I wanted to leave 5 stars. Our food was absolutely wonderful, and the atmosphere was quite charming. We had the burrata appetizer, an espresso martini, the Garden Benedict, and the short rib hash. Our food was excellent, and they have perhaps the best martini I've ever had. The problem lay in our server, Miles M. We were greeted politely and seeted next to a couple of influencers. Our server introduced himself, and then was distracted and completely inattentive. He had made 3 visits to people sitting next to us before we even received our drink. 3 more visits later, and he finally asked if we were ready to order. He continued checking on them constantly during our meal, while we were left waiting. No two bite check. No "how is everything". Just staring at Instagram girls. When we finally got our check, he didn't even bother to give us a pen to sign it with. I would eat here again, but if he was assigned as my server, I would simply walk out, and choose another place to done. Overall, 3 out of 5.
The service was incredible. Our waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable and gave off a positive and polite vibe. But the food was not good and the drinks were not good. We were both very excited to come here, but it will be our last. My friend ordered the duck dish, and it was tough and lacked flavor. Our amazing waiter made it better by offering another dish and her second dish was okay. It didn’t taste good though. I had the chicken ratatouille and I honestly believe ratatouille is the most simple dish anyone can make but if you don’t flavor it right, it’s just roasted veggies. Chicken was also dry. Mashed potatoes had too much butter and the sauce was okay. Dessert was too rich but please do not take my word for it. I’m not a dessert person. Glad we got to try it.
