Abe's Pizza

Huge slices. I thought that I would never eat VEGETARIAN PIZZA, But I had a slice there I went back on the next day and had another one. You cannot park anywhere near this location, but I live just 3 blocks away. It takes about 10 minutes to get your order because there are usually others ahead of you and the slices are reheated. This place 100% foot traffic.

This was the first time trying Abe's Pizza. My husband and I have walked by so many times and the pizza always smelled so good. We got a meat pizza and garlic bread sticks. They both tasted very good. I think we found our new pizza place.

Continuing Blondie's tradition for great quick slices. You can never go wrong with a slice of cheese, pepperoni, or veggie. They also have other wonderful choices. The original blondies in SF was located near the Cable Car stop, this location is around the corner on market side of the street. Don't sleep on one of the city's best traditions.

I came in one day when it was quite rainy. I ordered a large pizza and the manager offered me a slice of pepperoni to enjoy while I waited. In addition to the warm service, the pizza is lovely with a crust that’s crisp yet fluffy.

I bet this place is on a tourist map somewhere for one of the places you have to visit in the city. You got to love counter pizza places. In, out, grease! It's not the best pizza ever but it's good enough for someone who is visiting and wants to literally taste San Francisco. Yeah, it gets busy but worth the wait.

Was looking for a place to grab some pizza. They offer pizza by the slice or ordering whole pizzas. The sauce has a good flavor and pairs well with the crust. Staff was very friendly. Stop in and try a slice.

Good pizza.. Nothing is too overpowering, flavor wise. The pizza is balanced and good. I will go again.

I stopped by for a quick lunch. The guy heated my pizza up to perfection. I definitely will come back in the near future. It's located close to my job. Make sure to bring your card because they don't except cash.

February 2022: New location in the Westfield mall. I had a slice of the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and it was pretty good. This isn't your thin crust style pizza. It's old school thicker crust with good amount of cheese and pepperoni! Overall, enjoyed my pizza and would come back again. Thank you for the delicious pizza.

February 2022: New location in the Westfield mall. I had a slice of the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and it was pretty good. This isn't your thin crust style pizza. Blondie's is a quick pick up and on the go type of eatery. Food is generally reliable and you'll always know what type of pizza to expect and you're gonna get. The price point for a slice of pizza in Union Sq can't be beat.

Love this place for the most part. They don’t use pork so that’s cool and the staff is really nice. The pizza is really good when you get it hot and fresh out the oven. I’ve made the mistake of buying a slice that’s been sitting and they reheated it in the oven and that’s not that good to ME. A reheated pizza is just not the lick and going forward I will ask for fresh slices only especially when you are paying almost 10 bux a slice. This place has LOTS of toppings to choose from so yes check them out.

I had a Hawaiian pizza to go. Market Street is a bit gritty around there. The neighborhood is repressed a bit by straitened economic times. Businesses are having a hard time making a go of it. However, the pizza here was excellent. It's like finding a real seashell intact when the beach cleaners take them away lest children hurt themselves on partial shards. Good options here. As much support as possible as can be given should be given to decent people trying to make a living. No one is made of money, but a leg up with a good review I offer. Hope it's a shot in the arm.

Food was delicious I got the bbq chicken pizza. I believe a canned sodas a 1 when you buy a slice. Well I asked for a soda after I paid for my slice and was charged 2.20. Kinda felt ripped off for that part but other than that I would go back to try their array of special pizzas. Fun variety and quality fresh tasting ingredients.

Good option on a budget. This area of San Fran is pricey and also can be very cookie cutter. If you are looking for something that is more authentic and you are on a budget this is your place. The pizza a good and is a fair price. Order at the counter and take it to go to enjoy elsewhere or go downstairs and sit down in there very spacious dinning area. Have been back here several times.

So Happy my son and I stopped here for lunch!! 2 slices of pizza for $12 something.. the slices were big and they added this Yummy garlic butter to the crust, the service was quick, I asked if they could cut the cheese pizza in half for my son and they actually remembered (ha ha most pizza places we have been to forget..but Not here!!) The pizza was cooked all the way!! No uncooked middle of the slice, and the taste was great! Will definitely be coming back here again!!! And super friendly! Cannot forget that part!! Edit March 14th,2025 - 1 slice of pizza for my son and I to split was $8 something.. has definitely gone up- but what hasn’t. Still yummy pizza!! When we went they had cheese, pepperoni and 'vegetarian' pizza to choose from. They were delicious and very tasty, and the crust was also top notch. The pizzas are not cheap but at the same time it's on a busy street and prices are similar on the places around. They have some stools if you want to eat there. Also, regardless of your choice (eating there or for take out), they charge you an extra $0'50 for the pizza box.

In the tenderloin but on market so it felt safe. Ordered a slice of pizza and soda. Was very good, I'd definately recommend it and have been back a few times since. Big slices of pizza, fresh, good atmosphere (very much a NY pizzeria vibe).

I felt the Pizza lacked flavor. Customer service could also be improve. I had a bit of walk to do back to my apartment and was chided for asking for a plastic bag to protect my pizza box from the elements.

Pretty good, nice big slice, but then I politely asked if they'd plug in my phone (with my charger) and they refused.

If you’re there to get just on small pizza or a slice it is super quick to get, but if you order a giant pizza the waiting time is so long. I had to wait over 35 min for a normal cheese pizza, which is in my opinion a bit long. But in the end the pizza tasted good.

If you want decent, cheap pizza, go here. It's about $2 per slice. The pizza is a little too thick for my taste. However, it's a quick and easy place to grab a bite and go. There is an entire floor downstairs to sit too. Be forewarned, the place can be filled with transients and surly characters.

Pizza is pretty good here. Definitely a nice spot if you just want to get pizza and go. You can stay and chill upstairs while you stand and eat pizza, but you can also go to the lower level where they have a seating area. Quick, greasy, nice: all at a fair price.

Pretty good overall. I enjoyed my pizza and the price was good. When my order was ready, they just handed it to the people closest and they tried to send it back as the wrong order. Was awkward to explain to the woman she had my pizza and it was correct. A numbering or name system would solve this.

Pizza was edible, but nothing special. One guy working the oven, so you had to order on an iPad.

I ordered a Hawaiian and a pepperoni. The guy grabbed a cheese pizza and slapped a bunch of ham and pineapple on it. The pepperoni was way too greasy. I don't think many of the featured photos are representative of the actual quality. The only positive was the portion sizes for $8 a slice. Also, two homeless people wandered in while I was there for 15 min. One with a bloody nose and the other begging all the customers for food.

It's cheap eats. The pizza has great curb appeal but is incredibly greasy. The crust is bready and they brush it liberally with garlic butter. I know SF isn't NYC, so keep in mind that while it may look like a New York slice and costs almost twice as much as one, it certainly doesn't taste anything like a New York slice.

Kind of like if an independent pizza place aspired to the quality of Dominoes and fell short. Pizza made without a love of pizza. Bready crust, low quality cheese. This is pizza you eat because it’s cheap and not because you appreciate good pizza.

Customer service here sucked and the counters were either too low with too high of a stool or high counter with too low of a stool. Best part about the pizza was the garlic buttered crust. Easily one of the worst slices I've had in San Francisco just not good. The only thing could have made it worse would have been if I got food poisoning, which I didn't think. Goodness

Pretty good pizza but beware they will try to short you your change. Pizza came up to $16.27. Gave them a $20 and they only gave me .73 cents back. Told them I want the rest of my money back and he said I gave him $17 instead of $20. Shady place. But I did get my money back….
