I grew up in New England, but traveled to a lot of the country and next to Philadelphia this place has some of the best cheesesteaks I've had! And Steve, it is called the cheesesteak shop personally as someone with a bit of commonsense I would be led to believe that they sell cheese steaks and probably nothing else... get over yourself

Really delicious cheese steaks. They dont skimp on ingredients, the rolls are overflowing with meat, cheese, onions, and peppers. Their steak fries are good too.

Moved to the Bay Area and ate the King Philly here for the first time in January 2011. I’ve never stray since then, I bring my family and friends here from as far away as Arkansas and they enjoy it as well this place is awesome!!!!!!

I love the cheese steak shop because they make you feel like I'm at home they're not rude they remember my order so I don't have to tell them all over again and they always let you know about upcoming deals I got

If you are looking for a greasy calorie bomb, this is the place for you. The food is great and the staff is friendly. Can be pretty slow for a sandwich shop, though.

One of my absolute favorites!!! Great friendly and nice staff who make yummy cheesesteaks with the quickness. The sweet peppers are always nice and juicy and the cheese is ooey gooey good! If you have never been to one you are missing out for sure!

I just want to give a big shoutout to the gentleman who answered the phone and took our order—he was absolutely wonderful! He made sure to take our order carefully, repeated everything back to confirm, and was kind and professional throughout. That level of care and service truly stood out. We even made sure to tip him because he deserved it. I really wish I had caught his name because he deserves his flowers 💐 for going above and beyond. This is exactly how customer service should be, and to top it off, the food was delicious! I truly hope he moves up in the company—he has what it takes to go far.

Satisfies my craving for foods I have no Business eating! 😊 I, personally, always have a pleasant experience there, delicious grub and love that they will go the extra mile to make it just the way you want it.... Not from the east coast so I really couldn't tell you what a "authentic" cheesesteak should taste like. All I know is that this is a damn good sandwich

Good Bay Area small chain, tasty rendition of cheese steak style sandwiches. TastyKakes usually available for those wanting that particular East Coast based treat. Service times variable, but usually not really long. Just wish that the closest one was open later.

Decent steak sandwich. Not a true Philly cheesesteak, but at least they know not to put mayonnaise on it. Good mix of hot and sweet grilled peppers.

Since they have changed the management I have not called in and been met with the busy tone. This place is now a 4 out of 5 stars.

Good sandwich all around, king of philly is my choice, but lately I've noticed that the steak isn't all that fresh, it's been hard and crumbly. I'll try them again , but if they dont tighten up I'm going someplace else.

Not hygienic. Poor quality food. Poor service. Poor customer communication.

Stopped serving fish and chips and chicken meals a long time ago but still have it on the menu. They only had 3 main dishes and the stopped serving 2, not everyone is a fan of cheese steak, no alternatives for other party members. I can't stand apathetic owners that just don't care about their customers.

Staff very rude and disrespectful Ive been going to the restaurant for over 10 years making the same order the young white lady that wouldn't give me her name told me i could not make a order that ive been making again for over 10 years She was rude and disrespectful I really don't wontta think it was because I was black but the same thing happened before with this young white dude That can not either take the order or make the order They should stop hiring people That's not professional and she was the manager i will not spend any of my money in this business and i suggest you do the same

Not sure what happened today, I normally eat here and the food is delicious however, today my sandwich had hard pieces of meat, the onions still had the peal on it and the peppers had hard stems on them horrible just horrible!

I was threatened by one of your staff memebers over a refund because the hoagy made was to salty. My order was completely incorrect. I called over the phone and she said that I was to loud and proceeded to talk over me. I then told her i wanted a refund and when I got there she laugh as though it was funny to see a customer upset. I told her she was rude and she proceed to threaten me. To have these type of people working for you should be an embarrassment. I will be filing a report. She also call me fat and threatened to hurt me outside the job. I hope you do the right thing and remove this person your establishment. I was told i was talking to the manager and the other person who threatened me seemed new because she could hardly work the register.

They can't seem to be able to read very well, I make specific instructions on my order,and they do the opposite. No American cheese,means No American cheese! Especially since I paid extra for Provolone! And they forgot a sandwich all together! Ridiculous!

Walked in a few weeks ago and the workers were counting all the money from the register. After they were done, they started making sandwiches WITHOUT washing their hands or wearing gloves. Disgusting and unsanitary. I will never eat here again.

I ordered the Hoagie and added red and green peppers. The sandwich had 1 tomato and a few strands of lettuce. Disappointing. The cook got it all wrong. Green and red peppers was the bulk of my sandwich.

I ordered extra sweet peppers on my cheesesteak. I got a cheesesteak with no sweet peppers. Looking at other reviews, it appears my order is not the only one that they got incorrect. Update - Tried the place again. My sons and I ordered three sandwiches. They got one of the three correct. My sandwich was also dry and tasteless. I used to like this place, but it is definitely on a downward spiral. I have lowered my review from 2 stars to one. I will not return!

Must be pretty good! Wrong, so wrong. The menu is laid out in a confusing way, we weren't sure before or after ordering whether there was actually cheese on the sandwich. We asked for sweet peppers and got spicy ones, could barely find the grilled onions, and the mushrooms they used were white button rather than brown button - personal preference maybe but I've never had one with white mushrooms. Overall we left disappointed with an $18 dollar meal... the cafe at work charges 3.90 each for better beef, better cheese, and better onions. As my wife put it "even including fast food, that was honestly the worst meal we've had since we moved here".
