Opinions de DamnFine Pizza Alameda
Absolutely lived up to the hype! Damnfine had been on my go-to list for a long time, and I’m so glad we finally made it. We loved everything we ordered. We started with the wood-fired carrots—perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and topped with an amazing dressing. The radicchio + citrus salad was fresh and well-balanced. Then came the star of the show—the pizzas. We got the classic Margherita and the Mushroom Dream, and both were incredible. The dough was flavorful, light, and had just the right chew. Thin crust, but sturdy—doesn’t droop when you hold it. One of the best pizzas I’ve had. We ended with the almond cake, and it was the perfect sweet finish—rich, nutty, and super satisfying. We left with big smiles and already can’t wait to go back :)
Came here with the boys on a week night with reservation-no wait. We were seated in the back patio. Waiter was attentive, pizza was great. I really liked the mushroom dream, but bros liked dad’s joke more. The four of us coulda ordered another item, but didn’t. We’ll take the dad jokes’ but not the dad bods’.
Great pizza! Some of the best I’ve ever had in the city is here. This is a must try if you are in the area. The fried chicken is also good. Reservation is recommended as it gets busy here
Awesome experience all around! Reservations for 15, came early, and they were nice enough to seat us earlier than expected. Great host and hostess! Our server Ashley was awesome! Funny, knowledgeable, energetic, and gave a surprise birthday cake for our celebrant! The pizzas were all tasty! Pepperoni, clam, pancetta, Margherita. The hot honey is a must to put on the pizza 🍕 😋 We sat outside on an overcast night, but still had a great experience. Definitely recommend this place when in the Sunset. Ty
Easily one of the better pizza joints in SF ~ $28.51 for the pepperoni alone, they include at least a 5% employee healthcare tax. Quality pizza, very well done
Excellent and fun cocktails! The pizza was pricey — these are “fancy SF dine-in prices” — but the Acapulco pizza was the right amount of heat that you taste spice as well as all the other delicious ingredients. The crust isn’t my favorite — it needed more salt, but tasted fine and had perfect texture. The Ocean’s Eleven tasted slightly muted — it definitely needed more brightness. The Ralph Macchio was reminiscent of key lime pie! Bruce the bartender was just attentive enough — I dined solo at the bar, and he checked in and made pleasant conversation without being too much.
The pizza really is damn fine. Staff are really nice, they made us a custom cocktail!
Very good overall, like not the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life but very good and great service. The vegetarian options are great too, several courses are vegan possible
Great vibes and great pizza! One of the best thin crust pizzas I’ve had in the city, tucked away in a quiet area. We got the Acapulco and the Pig in the Woods to share. My fiancé preferred the former while I preferred the latter, but both were great. The chewiness of the dough is just amazing! And the flavours were very fun. They also let you alter the sauce of the pizza to your liking, say if you didn’t want white sauce and preferred a specific type of red sauce. And overall price was very reasonable for an SF dinner. Service was friendly, though slightly slow but understandable due to how full the restaurant was. Would definitely come back! Edit: I came back a few days later to try the Alotta Burrata and the Sausage and Sage, which are now my respective top 1 and 2 pizzas here!
Exceptional pizza! Took my family here and it was seriously some of the best pizza I have ever had. The sour dough crust is fermented for two days before baking and it is super tasty.
So, this place was a yelp find after we went to the Legion of Honor to see the Tudors Exhibit. 1st, don't be in a hurry here, they do take a little time to serve and attend you. What is awesome is the food!!! The carry dip they served with the Zucchini is beyond belief!!! My salad was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the pizza. My 1 annoyance is that I can't have sugar in my coffee and they had no alternative sweetners. I like Splenda, they didn't have that or any form of artificial sweetner.
All dishes and drinks we tried were outstanding. We especially liked the squash donuts as a starter and the Alotta Burrata pizza. Also they had some great Halloween cocktails so check that out if they still have it. The seating is actually more abundant than meets the eye, with a cute rear seating area that is semi-outdoor but with heaters. Very comfortable!
Super fast service despite being very busy! Their pizzas are the best known to mankind (seriously the best pizza place I know). Drinks were original and tasty. We often order takeout from there and are never let down!

DAMNFiNE pizza does have a wait so I would recommend reservations for big groups. We wait for approximately 15 mins before being seated as we walk in. The cocktails here were appetizing and refreshing!! I have an Ocean Beach Margarita and it's just delicious and has no taste of strong alcohol which is my preference. The zucchini blends well with sesame seeds and spices were incredible savors!! The mushroom Dream Pizza is a must-try and delicious for mushroom lovers. We also ordered a chopped salad not as flavorful. All the food and drinks came out extremely fast so we have a cool-down pizza. I would go back to try more of their flavorful pizza.

The people there were very sweet and the place is very cute with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was ok but they let you customise according to your taste.

Awesome cocktails. Great pizza. The drinks menu shifts as the season change which is a fun little wrinkle. I go here at least once a month. It does get a little busy/loud inside sometimes. If you want to go and have it be a bit calmer/quieter the front seating is a good option and back covered outdoor area is warm and really nice.
Our family LOVES Damn Fine! It is our go-to place to bring out of town guests or to eat at on a night where we want a high quality, but easy and well priced meal. Obvi the pizzas are divine, but I REALLY love the salads- always so creative and fresh. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic time at Damn Fine Pizza in SF! Right from the door Lauren brought such great energy, and our servers Ashley and Ray were friendly, fun, and on point. The panzanella salad with dill was a surprising standout — fresh and flavorful, with tomatoes that actually taste like real tomatoes (just like my grandma used to grow!). Cocktails were delicious, the pizzas lived up to the hype, and we ended the night with a rich chocolate cake baked by Ashley. Great vibes, amazing service, and killer food. We'll be back for sure!
Great pizza. Crust is soft but delicious. I’m not sure how they make that happen in a wood fired oven. Calamari was excellent as was the roast carrot appetizer. Wish they’d had the courtyard open for lunch today.
I've loved this spot since they opened, and am thrilled they deliver as well! I'd always rather be there in person, but their pizza carries well for delivery because the crust is chewy - it's not like a cracker when you rewarm it!

Came here because a friend recommended it and we loved it. The house-made pasta was amazing — we tried two and both were delicious with really unique textures. The flavor was tangy with a bit of spice, super appetizing. The pizza was right up my alley. Chewy crust, great flavor. The one our server recommended was also very good, but our favorite was definitely the mixed mushroom pizza — so good. The meatballs were solid and clearly made with quality ingredients. Highly recommend! We’ll be back for sure. Tip: come early or make a reservation if you don’t want to wait.
great place to get pizza and be near ocean beach! my 2 friends and i shared a pepperoni pizza with hot honey and it came out very nicely 😆 the crust is thin and soft, very pillowy and nice to chew on! the pizza itself is flavorful and the hot honey was a nice add-on. after taxs and tips, the pizza ended up being $6 per slice, which is not that bad and pretty standard. sadly, there are no decimal places on google reviews, but i would give this a 4.5/5. come try it out if you’re looking for a nice pizza place near the beach!
DamnGood cocktails and delicious pizzas. Been here twice now and can’t wait to visit again! First time was for dinner with friends. Second visit was with my kiddo and husband. It’s great to have these hidden gems in the outer Sunset. The space feels expansive with exposed beamed ceiling, big windows and a large communal dining table in the middle. The pizza oven anchors the space and then there’s a hallway that leads to a back patio area. Great art in the walls, everything ties together to make it feel hip but also warm and inviting. There’s a smallish bar with great light fixtures on the wall. The cocktail menu has great twists on classics like a coconut lime margarita (sublime!!) and old fashioned, and a coffee liqueur cocktail…the drinks are Damntasty! The zucchini with curry dipping sauce is a sleeper hit. SO GOOD. Tiny little zukes roasted with spices and paired with a tasty creamy curry dipping sauce that I used to dip my slices in. Pizzas are delicious-crust is chewy and crispy. Dad Jokes is fantastic with corn and tomatoes and the Acapulco is a spicy tangy salty dreamy. The classic pepperoni was divine and generously topped with little curled discs of meat. The Figgy Piggy is prosciutto and figs with arugula…fantastic We also tried the bucatini with meatballs and it was surprisingly delicious (sometimes places that focus on one thing like pizza can sometimes mess with other items, but this was not the case) This will be a regular spot for me and my family as well as for a causal night out with my pals. Make reservations because it can get busy! Outdoor seating is available as well. Servers were very nice but sometimes they seemed overwhelmed or like one person was super busy and others weren’t? It didn’t put a damper on the experience but it was noticed… there were times we waited a bit long for our drinks and food and check.. I added more pics! Since I wrote this review we ate here again in the back patio and it was lovely!! Tried different cocktails and our son had bucatini (we asked for less sauce and it was perfect). This time, the service was still a bit lagging Our server was hustling-and was attentive when she was present. I think the supporting crew has some opportunities to help out more (filling water, running plates, clearing plates etc.) things seemed uneven… Drinks still took a long time or come out..my hubby got his before I got mine and I waited. Parking is a hit or miss situation…you may find a spot a block or two away on busier days.
