Don’t sleep on Yonkers Café! Yonkers Café in San Francisco is an absolute gem, and I can’t believe it isn’t more well-known. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly toasted bagels, fresh ingredients, and flavors that hit all the right notes—it’s everything you could want in a breakfast sandwich. Tucked away in the Sunset, this spot feels like a local secret. The vibe is unpretentious, and the staff is warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you’re a breakfast lover, it’s well worth the trip. Do yourself a favor—head out to the Sunset and treat yourself to a breakfast bagel at Yonkers Café. You won’t regret it!

Yonkers has been our go to for sandwiches for many years. I was very excited to see today that they started making Acai Bowls too now. The bowls had the most delicious Acai and a perfect combo of granola, fresh fruit and honey. It’s our new favorite spot for Acai bowls in the Sunset! My hubby got a breakfast sandwich with a hash brown and my mom got a salad. You can tell they take great pride in their food. We also tried the Salted Caramel & Nutella lattes, both were delicious. If you go on the weekend, I always tell friends to call your order in ahead of time because they do get busy.

has a huge selection of options, great sandwiches, acai bowls, dubai chocolate, bagels. you have a lot of options when you go to yonkers for both food and drink!!! my personal recommendations are the beast mode sandwich and the warm vanilla milk 5/5 food, the seating i would give 3/5, it is usually cramped and kind of dirty but the food more than makes up for this

A solid neighborhood sandwich spot that now has a lot of hype there due to them selling dubai chocolate strawberries. I tried the dubai strawberries, They're pretty good. I just wouldn't buy it again for twenty bucks. But the sandwiches are solid. I usually get the jerk chicken sandwich or the beast mode sandwich. They don't really toast them that much, So if you want it extra toasty, you have to ask. But about thirteen to fourteen bucks for a sandwich is a pretty good deal for lunch.

Got a jerk chicken sandwich - it was delicious! Really good. Was humbled by hearing that they feed a homeless woman, every day... I offered to pay for today, but they said no.

LOVE this place!! Discovered it July 2025 looking for a place that served Acai and we all (4 of us) ordered sandwiches too. THE BEST !!! We ate ours overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Waiting for the fog to clear so we could get the perfect picture! So unforgettable !!! the sandwiches!!! we vowed to come back every time we come through the Bay Area and we just did again today. And it did not disappoint. This time we also got the strawberry Dubai chocolate cups. AMAZING!! Coming back tomorrow!!

I only make my 30 minute drive out here for their Dubai cups. Other than that I have no reason to be in this neighborhood that far from my residence. So that already should let you know their Dubai cups are THAT good. Parking is mild to hard space is small so definitely just grab your food and go. There is minimal seating spaces outside and inside.

Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Cup Review: I grew up in the Outer Sunset around the corner from Yonkers Café. Imagine my surprise when I found out it’s now the home of a viral strawberry Dubai chocolate cup. 🍓🍫 I checked it out with the in-laws and we agreed: 🍓pricey at $18 but enough to feed four 🍫 delicious if you have a sweet tooth 🍓 strawberries were huge and hard to manage but balanced out the heaviness of the chocolate 🍫 needs more pistachio creme I asked one of the owners how many they make in a day. He gave me a wide-eyed stare and couldn’t tell me. The line never died down, but they were a cup-making machine. I’m glad they’re doing well, and we enjoyed the cup. Check it out if you’re ever in the deep Sunset.

Nice workers, customer service, and good food. Was crazy busy when Dubai strawberries first came out, but they are delicious and also generous with amount. I got a pic of the Dubai strawberries and Dubai strawberry açaí bowl. Come visit! 🙌🏻

I had to try the Dubai strawberries!! They were amazing!! The strawberries were plump and the chocolate wasn’t sickeningly sweet. I came in twice, once ordering online and once ordering in person. You definitely get more if you order in person vs online bc they put the lid on. When you order in person, you get almost double. Pictured is what you get online and I didn’t get a pic of in person. Either way great value and tasty!

Dubai chocolate strawberries with the acai bowl is literally to die for it's so good and even with the cold the chocolate stays incredibly soft and creamy! A must-try! The matcha with strawberry could be better if they added real/more fruit. Small place though pretty busy so not much room to enjoy the items, more of a take-out place.

I loved it, even though there is no place to sit and I basically just ate it curbside. For the price I think it has great value. I would love to come back again (and again).

All the coffee is pour over, so good! And the breakfast sammies are delicious. Also usually very quick. Great place, support small businesses!

Sandwich was good and tasty, quite a large portion. Took a bit longer than I expected coming in after lunch on a weekday because there were 3-4 other sandwiches in front of mine but this definitely shows their attention to detail in making each sandwich.

Solid sandwich. Ready with recommendations and they have locally roasted coffee. The star of the show is the sandwiches though. I ended up with the Yonkers special on Dutch crunch. I usually don't get Dutch crunch, but he said it's great on it. And he was right! It comes with pastrami and avocado. This was pretty great, refreshing, not super bogged down after it, no super intense garlic sauce making everything reek (heh, you already know who). Toasted and not over done. The edges seem burnt in my picture but it was fine. Bread still a little soft crispy outside and edges.

Commonly regarded as the best Chocolate in the world... which explains the rich, creamy and chocolatey, yet not too sweet profile. It's a bit on the pricey side at slightly over $20 after tax, but well worth it. I wouldn't finish it myself, you are most definitely asking for an immense Blood Sugar spike. It's large enough to finish half in one sitting and enjoy the other half later. Packed with Strawberries, Kunafa and a good amount of melted Chocolate. Don't get it to go, you'll feel short changed. Order it to enjoy on the spot and then ask for a lid. The presentation is even better as well. If this had more of a Pistacho taste it would be a full 5 ***** for me! ORIGINAL REVIEW: (2016 visit) Yonkers is a fantastic little local neighborhood Deli/Cafe. Every time I am on this side of town I will make it a point to stop by. The sandwiches here were amazing! I think I got to try the a good portion of the menu. The Yonkers Special, Firehouse, Golden Gate and the Salsa lito Turkey and Bacon. I can honestly say all of them were amazing! The Dutch Crunch here is just to die for! Forget all those mainstream sandwich chains...Yonkers has Dutch Crunch down! The owner is nice guy, friendly and passionate about creating these delicious awesome sandwiches! Yonkers also carries cookies and other desserts by Berkich Baking from Richmond...across the bay. Yonkers also doubles as a neighborhood Wine bar! They even have a small selection of beers on tap! Big Fan!

We came here for the great reviews but were disappointed that a lot of the kataifi was burned. It kind of ruined the experience for us.

Came here for the viral Dubai chocolate cup for $18. It was good but not worth it . It’s basically Nutella strawberries and Pistachio Kataifi in a cup. Probably wouldn’t order this again. However, my friend told me she likes the sandwiches here. She says it one of her favorite spots.

My first time experience was ok. I ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberry 🍓 cup, I was not impressed at all it was something that could be way better. Mines did not look like what they advertised and the strawberries were not that good either. If you're going to charge $18 for some chocolate, strawberries and pistachios then it all should be the best ingredients like organic strawberries, good quality local chocolate and the best pistachios in the world 🌎 I don't know I'm very picky and I'm a hard critic. I'm a home cook and I hook my family up! I also ordered their breakfast sandwiches. Those were good 👍 I customized my breakfast sandwiches and it did not disappoint. Would I go back NO because it's far from where I live and there are better places closer. I just like to try everything and make a review so you don't have too. I might seem so mean for my opinions and comments but these are just my views, points and observations of my experiences. Try it for yourself and see if it's worth it for you!

Everything I’ve ever ordered here is great but the lady at the front is very rude. She is willing to accommodate but it does not come off that way. This isn’t the first time I feel as though she was rude. If you want good sandwiches but don’t wanna feel welcomed this is the place. Maybe do DoorDash lol

Line was out the door. We came for the dubai chocolate strawberries. I really wanted to love this but couldn't. The kunafa or crispy part was burnt and you could taste it and it didn't taste good. It was so burnt it was literally black. I don't blame them, they were probably rushing since the wait was almost a hour. It need more pistachio butter/cream as well. Not worth 15$. The place smelled really good from the sandwiches tho. I feel like they should only make a certain amount of cups because they just couldn't keep up with the demand. I feel like they prioritized quantity or quality

So, this place makes great sandwiches and that Dubai chocolate strawberry cup that went viral? Also amazing. However, their newfound popularity is their downfall in this review. It took about 2 hours to get 3 sandwiches and a Dubai cup the last time I ordered online. To be fair, the estimated wait time was an hour before I could pick up (60-70 minutes). But when I showed up a little over an hour after I ordered, they strung me along for at least 45 minutes, saying "we will start making it now." Or, "you're next." I could clearly see they were of course taking the many walk in customers that were arriving after I asked about my order the first time. Needless to say I am unwilling to give so much time for a preorder pickup in the future. Be forewarned. Go in person to order and be prepared to wait at least a half hour most days. If you go early when they open, you'll probably get your food in a decent timeframe. Do not order online, they simply do not have the staff or facilities large enough to handle the volume of orders they are now receiving. They could open a second location with the massive amount of business they are getting these days.

The Dubai chocolate covered strawberries are pricey - $18 for one cup. They were really good though so we’re conflicted. The one thing is that the cafe was quite dirty and messy. There was chocolate all over the floor. You have to squeeze your way past boxes and trash on the floor to get to the bathroom that had dirty toilet paper, flies, no paper towels and soap bags that you had to dispense yourself. The wait was 30 minutes for one cup of strawberries. They were really busy though, so maybe they didn’t have time to clean as they were working.

Dubai cups have like 5 strawberries in it , just swimming in chocolate 18$ for that??

Service was quick, Nutella latte is subtle and delicious. However I ordered the Y.O. special. Clearly states that it's a bagel, cream cheese, tomato, and bacon. Bacon has burnt ends and it didn't come on a bagel, came on an English muffin. That's like getting a qusadilla and instead of a tortilla they gave it to you on white bread. Disappointment is staggering.

I ordered for pickup, on Halloween, through doordash and my order was accepted. Once I got to the store there was a “closed early for Halloween sorry” sign. They took my money and I never received my order, I guess they like scamming.

When we arrived we noticed that everything was dirty, the place was a mess no food safety , no labels , no proper sanitizing everything in this place was wrong you could seriously get sick if you’re not taking the precautions of a clean space. I don’t recommend coming here had to get a full refund -0 /10
