Opinions de Win's Restaurant San Francisco
TLDR: quality items at reasonable prices, under new ownership We love their full soy sauce chicken, it is so moist and delicious. The red tofu with pork was also tasty with a nice gravy that goes well with white rice. The garlic pea sprouts had plenty of flavor and not too oily. I would highly recommend the chicken !!
Small restaurant located on Taravel outer sunset. It was my first time eating here and won't be my last! Service was great and friendly. We got a bunch of different dishes, my favorite is their soy sauce chicken. I loved the saltiness of it. They also have some already made Asian savory snacks to go and have duck/cha siu/chicken... My family didn't know they close at 6:30pm and we got there at 6pm. They were very friendly the whole time and we were the last table to leave. My family thought it was weird they were cleaning up and some workers were leaving, we didn't think it's because they actually closed. We thanked everyone at the end and the person chopping the meats at the front was so kind and actually thanked us for coming to support their business 🥺 it was such a cute and wholesome moment. Overall Rating: 10/10
Delicious everything! Got the Peking duck, bbq pork, salt and pepper prawns, chow fun, and much more. Kids were happy, grandma was happy! A low key, no frills place with great food. Our server was so kind and attentive as well. He boxed everything up for us. We will definitely return!
Win's has been around for a very long time with many owner and management changes throughout the decades. However, Win's as it stands today is excellent. Their bbq meat items are all very good and delicious without the long waits. Try their two bbq items over rice! Really simple but hits the spot all the time. They also have pretty good wonton noodle soup, and anything else you'd order at a Cantonese restaurant. Prices are fair even with inflation, and plenty of street parking around the area. They haven't done dine in for awhile even post pandemic, so expect to call in for take out. During business hours, you may walk in to order your bbq meat cuts. My go to is usually half a lb of bbq pork, half lb of roast pork and half a duck.
Pork belly clay pot with fermented vegetables was amazing. The glazed meat in the window looks delicious.
Great food we came here for New Year's Day and very friendly staff as always been here many times last 15-20 years

I’ve been looking for proper Peking duck in San Francisco for a long time, and Win’s Restaurant absolutely delivers. This place is legit. The duck is fantastic — expertly prepared, beautifully roasted, crisp skin, tender meat, and done the way it’s supposed to be. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just excellent execution. Exactly what I was hoping to find. Service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the experience. We also ordered the beef organ soup, which was outstanding — rich, comforting, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with care. Not something you see done well everywhere, and they nailed it. If you’re serious about Chinese cuisine and have been searching for a place that does things above board, this is it. Couldn’t recommend it more. I’ll absolutely be back.
This local wonton restaurant offers the best roasted duck bottom quarter and wonton soup (without noodles). Great service.
Every time I walk by, the meat being chopped in the window looks delicious!

I saw this place on DoorDash and decided to give it a try. They’re known for their Hong Kong style barbecue and I have to give it a shot. My delivery took a bit longer than expected, but that does not bother me since I’m a very patient person. On the other hand the food was okay and it definitely can be better. I rwpuld ecommend this place for anyone looking for a quick bite. Maybe I will be back to try out other items.
No frills San Francisco Sunset classic. Has been in the neighborhood for decades, my uncle would come here after middle school in the 70s and has gone ever since. Due to Covid, indoor seating is closed and everything is take out. My go to is the 2-3 item rice plate combo with roast pork (pork with the crispy skin), cha siu, and roast duck. comes with rice and some steam cabbage. Comes out to around $10-$15 depending how many items you want. The beach is a few blocks away so after you get your to go plate… walk over to the beach and eat. Nostalgic and delicious. There are many other spots in the sunset that have better cha siu though.

The fried rice (chicken) here is really good. They have wings which are pretty good too. Simple but still good. But don't like their noodle dishes. Service is ok, not too but on the wait time. Prices are ok. Hard to find parking sometimes.
Taste was REALLY good! If it was closer to my home, I would go there a few times a week! (So maybe that's a good thing, it's not so close). Not expensive but not cheap either. No long waiting times, friendly lady. For sure go there again! Little bit weird she had no chicken meals because she ran out of chicken (??). Very tasty BBQ pork and BBQ duck.
Good yummy Chinese BBQ, and roast duck, white cut chicken. Close to Ocean Beach and the Zoo.

your cha siu was really tough. No fat at all and was hard as bone. paid $47 for a box of siu yok, cha siu, and chicken. Siu yok was good though.
This was the skimpiest combination fried rice we have ever purchased. The rice barely had any pork or shrimp protein, with hardly any green onion as well. The flavor wss decent, but some of our rice felt undercooked and very firm. We ordered inside for takeout, and it was dead silent inside with a few other patrons. It also took 3 people to take our order, and at first they attempted to give us the someone else’s order. In the front, there is a chef who is handling and preparing food, but it did not seem to sanitary with them picking a pen, writing some notes, then touching food without washing their hands. Will not return.

The older server with bold head was the worst. Super tricky & greedy, I’ve ordered the whole chicken & roast pork belly around $50. He trying to charged me 20% tips on top for my take out order without telling me. When I found out & questioned him, He got really mad. That was ridiculous & Really Dishonesty. Horrible Experience! For foods: The roast pork belly skin was not crispy wasn’t that good at all, Chicken was mediocre just like any other regular soy sauce chicken. Nothing really impressive or special! Won’t be back. Not recommended.
It’s not a Win win situation and a loss if your not Asian walking into this establishment. Pro-Asian dive has plenty of good food like duck in their window. When you walk in, you will be ignored by staff and customers. Every Sign is written in Chinese, so you will not be able to order anything. I asked “how much for duck” and they said “no English”! It was an in-and-out for me. Will not try to order online delivery either.
I don't even have any words. I ordered on door dash and the food didn't arrive in 2 hours. Their message was that they were prioratizing other people who are there even though we order a while back. Everything was also expensive and overpriced.Horrible experience and I do not recommend coming here.
Don’t come here and spend your money elsewhere. I ordered a wonton noodle soup and it was a small tiny bowl, egg rolls and porridge. It ended up being expensive. What was worst was that she insisted that I tipped her business and lectured me about it. Tipping depends on their service but for her it was mandatory. I might had tipped that business more if she wasn’t so quick to ask for it. I was just trying to pay first, while waiting for my son to finish.
Beware the restaurant, very dishonest owner and cheated the customers. I ordered 1 whole roast duck ( chopped) and 2 lbs Roast Pork to go, Total of $70. When I get home opened the box. Half of the roast duck chest are missing. He replaced with extract duck neck underneath. He charged me 2 1/2 lbs for the roast pork. It is way less than 2 1/2 lbs. Very dishonest people.
