The lobster noodle is good. The lobster is fresh and tasty. Just $19.95, very good price. We can go again to try more food.
Fung Wong Restaurant made Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (佛跳牆) for our family, a special and famous Chinese dish. It was super delicious, and the service was the best!
Talk about nothing fancy but the food is oh-so-good! Fung Wong SF is that kind of restaurant. Decent looking place but the flavors really deliver! As per ushe I got me my fave sweet & sour pork. I guess that’s my gauge if the Chinese restaurant is good and it is! It’s airy/crunchy and flavorful. Huge portions too! Just don’t ask for a spoon (I’m Filipino so I use spoon) because they will give u a Giant Spoon! 😋🥄😂 Side note: Very affordable too!
Very tasty food! Amazing eggplant. Fast service. The atmosphere reminded me of Hailar and Qiqihar, Harbin 1992. picks up only a symbolic Chinese figurine and music that sounded everywhere that year. I recommend.
Pretty authentic Chinese cuisine, would visit next time if I’m nearby Noriega st in SF. Parking hard though
Came here for breakfast with my family. They have 4 different sets and we all chose something different. Even among the sets there are other dishes you can choose. The porridge with liver I got was such a big portion and can be shared between 2-3 people. It also came with noodles which is crazy. So much carb haha There was a set that my mom chose which was French toast and a fried pork chop. Another set we got was what my cousin chose, it came with toast, fries, sausage and eggs. All is under $14!! Highly recommend! Overall Rating: 10/10
First time coming here was on a Saturday. If you know big city life restaurants, retailers, grocery stores are full on weekends. There was no such luck as getting a table as you walk in because this place was packed. So bad they asked a single person eating to move to a two seat table so our party of three could use the larger table. Food took a while but that was to be expected. They had many wait people but just could not keep up with all the patrons constantly coming in and taking care of their tables. The food we ordered came out fairly quickly after we place our order Food was good, not oily and plentiful. So, why not come back for breakfast on Monday. They have specials for $9.99 if you can get your order in before 11 AM. I had the Satay Beef Noodle soup with hot milk tea special and we also got the steamed beef noodle. Obviously shorter wait times on a weekday. Now all I have to do is try their dinner menu some day.
Had a great experience here. The honey walnut shrimp was very good. We all got the hong milk tea bears and it was really cute 🥰 and yummy. We ordered the shrimp rolls that were tasty and the beef and onion dish. The roasted pork was very good too.
Lovely neighborhood cha chaan teng IMO. I’m a big fan of their bbq pork purple rice cheong fun and yuenyeung.

A spacious, clean Chinese restaurant, authentic mainland Chinese food. fast, friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. If you want to enjoy Chinese food. come here. You will not be disappointed.
I went to San Francisco to visit my uncle. He recommends Fung Wong Chinese Restaurant, which is not far from his home in the Sunset District. We were fortunate to have a table as soon as we entered the restaurant. They have fast service and a speedy kitchen. All our dishes are delivered to our table within ten minutes of ordering. Most of the items are yummy. Only the golden eggs in fried rice with XO sauce need to be a little saltier. The rest of our foods are from average to good. I'm sure I will come back soon to try more dishes on their menu soon.
A pretty solid Chinese restaurant in the area! They have a lot of specials including a $20 lobster meal that can easily feed 4! The rice rolls are also very good too and decently priced around $6 each! They also have Hong Kong style Milt tea with a nice little bear ice cube on it, although I heard they charge $0.50 if you order a takeout cup on it? Other than that, this restaurant mainly serves great dishes like beef and broccoli and Honey will not shrimp that you usually would share with the table, there's even baked options such as spaghetti and rice as well, and french fries and hamburgers that are American inspired! The waiter staff were really nice and It was easy to order and make recommendations. They also have a cash discount if you choose to pay it that way. Otherwise they would have a normal fee if you pay with a card and they do not accept discover or American Express...
Decent place for lunch special. I used to frequent this place when it was the old ABC so this was my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised by the offerings. There is a time for breakfast and lunch items as well as family style dinner plates. We ordered the special teddy bear milk tea and the little bear was adorably melting in my beverage until it was just a head above water! 😜 The steamed rice noodle with pork was yummy and fresh. Will definitely go back to try the other versions they offer. The rice plates were ok. One was pork and tofu which consisted of the roast pork and soft tofu squares in lots of gravy. For the 2 item plate we tried their chicken and roast pork. The chicken was much better than I anticipated. I wish the chicken was meatier. Overall I think it’s a decent place for lunch. Some might find the wait staff to be gruff but I thought they were fine and no nonsense. This place can get pretty crowded so if it is, be patient!
Food is alright - standard Chinese family restaurant food. I like the red bean dessert. Service is pretty good on Tues but the restaurant was half empty. Staff was really aware and asked if we needed to change plates frequently.
Nice restaurant to get rice rolls. This restaurant is famous for that. You can also get bbq items and also hongkong style dishes. It is crowded during brunch and lunchtime. To find parking sometimes could be a challenge. The food is yummy, and the service is pretty quick. Pricewise, it is reasonable. They regularly have special price gor lobster dishes. Cash or credit card. It is cheaper to pay with cash. The bill will show how much cash or credit card is.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: A standard fare Chinese restaurant. The extended review... Food: 3/5 - Went family style on this meal and got some typical pork and veggie dishes. We also had some dishes that may not be ordered so often like steamed egg and salted fish pork. All tasted pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3/5 - A typical chinese restaurant vibe.
Fung Wong is a solid spot if you’re looking for big portions at a very reasonable price, but don’t expect Hong Kong-style Cantonese food. The flavors and execution felt more Toisan-style. I tried the Hainanese chicken rice, which came with a generous serving of garlic rice that was a bit different from what I’m used to. The chicken portion was large, but it was quite bony, and the broccoli on the side was just plain boiled. My wife ordered the shrimp with scrambled egg rice, but it came out more like egg drop soup poured over rice—definitely not the style you’d find in Hong Kong, but still kind of comforting in its own way. My mother-in-law had the wonton soup. The bowl was huge, and while the noodles weren’t especially fresh, the wontons were decent, and she seemed happy with it. We also shared a side of cheong fun (rice noodle rolls), which turned out to be the highlight. For seven bucks, it was a great deal and tasted pretty good. Overall, Fung Wong is fine for a casual meal if you want to fill up without spending much, but it won’t wow you if you’re after authentic HK-style dishes.
On the first visit, considering it's a Chinese/Hong Kong-style restaurant, the taste, portion size, and prices are all satisfactory. Among them, the salt and pepper pork chop stand out, while the Hainanese chicken rice and bitter melon spare rib rice are just average.

Chinese BBQ is good especially the roast duck. The rice roll both regular and purple rice version is only okay as the rice skin is too thick. Also ordered the pork liver congee; it’s better than average as the pork liver is good but the pieces were thin and small probably more for rice roll than in a congee.

I think this is the most expensive and disappointing order that I've ever made for Chinese takeout. The pork chops were ALL fat. $19.99 worth of fat and bone. Not only it was there so much oil on MSG in the pea sprouts, but the wontons for my wonton soup were not even wrapped in thin wonton wrap, but a deep fried thick dough. I did appreciate their service, as the restaurant staff was very kind and helpful as well as packing the food well. My total was $68 for food that I had to throw out. As with most places, I will have to visit again and eat in so that I can give a fair review, as perhaps I should’ve ordered more traditional dishes, which were not available when I ordered on DoorDash.
My family of three went out to eat, and the total bill was nearly $73. I gave them a $100 bill, and they should have given me $27 in change, but they only gave me $13 back. When I asked why, they said they had included the tip in the bill, but they hadn't asked for my consent beforehand. I insisted that they give me the correct change, and after a while, they finally did, saying they had made a mistake. People should be careful when paying bills because they might get scammed.
I would give this place 0 zero stars if I could. The four of us had lobster lo mein, curry bew stew, yin yang fried rice, and 4 breakfast specials: 2 with noodle soup, and 2 with jook and chow mein. Everything was bad and the lobster lo mein was the worst I've ever had. The seating was also uncomfortable. The breakfast combo was supposed to come with jook and chow mein, but we ordered 2 of them and the chow mein still didn't come after half an hour. Then the waiter rudely tried to argue that we wouldn't get the noodles because they had run out of them and refused to make more. Then he blamed me for not getting there early enough. If he had told me, I wouldn't have even ordered them. Isn't it illegal to only give me half and charge me for the full order? Horrible service, I would recommend going to any location of Cheung Hing instead for this type of food. I usually post photos to share what the food looks like, but I was so upset I forgot to take any.
