Amazing amazing customer service and amazing food. They opened late for us even much much past there closing time because we all were so hungry and were having a great time and they didn't want to disturb us. I highly recommend this place. Friendliest customer service and very very reasonably priced. We were a large group and we ordered Veg Masala Pizza, Veg Pizza, Veg Biryani and Non Veg Pizza. Everyone had a great time.

a hidden gem in the city, especially if you’re looking for gluten free pizza! my girlfriend has a gluten allergy, so she’s come to love this place. their indian pizzas use an atta flour which is non-wheat based and gluten free & she’s had no problems with it. we’ve even shared the pizzas with friends who are surprised it’s gf. we have ordered the deluxe, multiple vegetarian combos, and their plain cheese is delicious. as for me, i’m quite happy with their prices across the menu.

Always delicious and a surprise dine-in experience open until 11 pm! All these years I only got the pizza delivered, I was definitely missing out on the delicious entrees and table service.

I love places with personality and character. Family owned and operated is what I prefer to support. I love the Indian food my kid loves the pizza. It's perfect for both of us.

Their Indian vegetarian pizza makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The curry and traditional pizza flavor is perfectly balanced to make a great unique meal. It is best hot but still holds it own when warmed up after being in the fridge a few days.

No frills, great food, affordable prices, nice people. They've been around for a long time & never disappoint. Rarely crowded so it's a good place for larger groups where you don't need to wait to be seated.

It’s solid Indian fare. The vegetarian Indian pizza I had was pretty tasty too. Garlic Naan, chicken tikka masala, and saffron rice. Good portion sizes for the price. Painless and efficient order and pickup process. The naan could’ve been more garlicy, but that’s just personal preference.

This place is amazing! customer service is great! The food was hot and fresh and delicious! We ordered a small pizza , naan bread , and garlic cheese bread loaf. all of it was so good! we will definitely come back here!!

Mmmm mmmm good! The saffron rice is a must have staple. I wouldn't recommend a burger from here but, I mean, this isn't a burger joint. If you go here, get what they are best at. Chicken tiki masala is delicious and chicken korma is my absolute favorite with any of their naan bread. Oh, and the samosas with the plum sauce are heaven in your mouth. Their pizza is different but in a very good way.

This is the best Indian food in SF and I’ve eaten at a lot of places. The family is very nice that owns and runs the place. The Rikki Marsala pizza is great! Also the vegetarian tiki Marsala sauce is so good and the garlic naan. They deliver for orders 25 and up. Oh and there veggie pakora and samosas are good too

This is arguably the best Indian food I have eaten in San Francisco. Family run. Give them a chance, they will not disappoint. I will say this to the head chef, stop making pizza and cook the flavorful dishes that your country is known for. It's a bit silly to go Indian restaurant and see Italian food. There is an old saying, if you try to please everyone you end up pleasing no one.

I've been eating here since I moved to the sunset over four years ago. The food is always consistent the service is always top notch.i cannot attest to the atmosphere for dinner inside as I've not yet dined here it's always been delivered. I believe it to be family owned and I am always greeted with a smile from one of them. I looked at a review talking about the atmosphere here and having a kid serve them. I myself wouldn't care if I was served food at a restaurant by child family member at least they would be authentic and of Indian descent and as we all know a lot of people quit jobs like this to receive free money off our government. Great spot, great food, try it because they try their best🙏

I have been going here every Sunday since I moved here a few months back, and this was the first Indian restaurant I had tried. The person that works there is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gives me many of options when I want to try something new. I enjoy eating their Chicken Tikka Massla Pizza; it's really wonderful. Despite being empty the place is peaceful and pleasant, and the jazz music in the background is pleasant. If you're new to the city or want to taste Indian food, I highly recommend this eatery!

Now, it was a Wednesday evening of some distinction, not by weather nor society, but by the simple fact that I found myself—post-yoga, soul cleansed and stomach empty—ambling toward the end of Judah Street, where the mighty ocean hums lullabies to weary cityfolk. I was hunting supper. Not a banquet, mind you, but something honest, warm, and preferably involving potatoes. The city had gone quiet, the stars blinked over the Sunset, and there—like a lighthouse to the hungry—I spotted Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, its modest sign glowing like the answer to a question I didn’t know I’d asked. They had a table out front. Just one. It sat lonely and noble, like a sheriff on night patrol. I claimed it. I ordered as follows: — Two samosas, firm and golden, filled with mashed potato and what I suspect was the exact pea from Eden. — A Flying Horse Royal Lager, tall and cold, and brewed with the kind of discipline I wish more men possessed. — And the crowning glory: a Vegetarian Masala Pizza. A creation I could only describe as what would happen if Naples and New Delhi had a love child and raised it in the California sun. The pizza was not spicy—not fiery, not arrogant—but gentle and fragrant, a kind of masala lullaby. The crust was proper, not a chewy affair, and the toppings fresh as if they’d been plucked from a garden behind the kitchen. For those who desire more heat (and I do), they’ll kindly provide a tray of extra spices with the gravity of a spice bazaar in miniature. Service? Friendly and sincere. None of your slick nonsense. Just warm folks who care if you’re fed. And here’s the part most don’t mention: they’re open late. That’s a kindness rare in these parts. If your yoga ends after nine, or you’ve just stared at the sea wondering where your life went sideways, they’ll still serve you—with a smile, a samosa, and a seat beneath the stars. For couples: maybe grab takeout and charm each other over Netflix. But if you’re solo—an adventurer, a wanderer, or a humble storyteller—this little table by the wall is perfect. The kind of table where stories begin and indigestion never follows. Highly recommended. And that’s no small praise from a man who’s dined with generals, fools, and the occasional ghost.

Wow! Can't believe how good this was! They not only make good Indian food and good pizza, but have an Indian food pizza that was absolutely amazing! Owners were friendly and service was incredibly fast. We liked it so much, we had to stop by the next day and order another pizza before heading back to Sacramento. Go here, you will not be disappointed!

Golden Gate Indian Cuisine and Pizza has been my rock for the last 5 years. I swear their food has cured hangovers, the flu, heartache, and bad days. I have only ordered take out, but feel very welcomed by the owners and staff every time I pick up. So much so, that my fiancé and I are catering our welcome event through them. Here’s our go-to order: 1. Veggie Pakora 2.Bindi Masala (my personal favorite) 3. Lamb Biryani (Fiancé’s favorite) 4. Vegetarian Tiki Masala 5. Naan/ Garlic Naan/ Onion Kulcha.

so I am not really into Indian food but my wife was like you should try this spot and OH MY GOD. I really enjoyed eating at this Indian restaurant. The place felt cozy and the staff were kind and helpful. Everything we ordered came out hot and full of flavor. My favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the vegetable biryani. The chicken was tender with a creamy sauce, and the biryani had the right mix of spices. The cheese naan was soft and cheesy, and it went great with the curries. We also tried the pakoras as an appetizer, which were crunchy and tasty. For dessert, the mango lassi was soooo refreshing. the food was delicious, the service was fast, and I’d recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys Indian food or wants to try it for the first time like me.

My friends and I visited this place after a day of walking around the city. One of my friends had rave reviews for it. So, we had to visit it. I am a sucker for Indian pizza. It is really hard to get wrong, and in is, in my opinion, the best Indian fusion food out there. Golden Gate did not disappoint. The restaurant is pretty dark, with minimal lighting and no windows in the dining area. The ovens, just like in many pizzerias are open and easy to see. We had some fun watching our pizzas being made. The food was delicious. Of course it's e healthy and isn't really "authentic" in any way, but who cares? If you like Indian food and pizza, eat here!

This place is so unassuming from the outside, but their menu has so many different choices and they are all delicious. Only place I've seen that has Indian food, pizza, burgers... and they were all good. If you get curry and want rice with it you gotta order it separate though, just fyi.

On a freezing cold day, we had the choice of standing in line outside of Outerlands for a good 40 minutes in the hope of a table or ducking inside this hole-in-the-wall for hot food and tea. The food turned out to be tasty and spiced just about right, if medium-hot is your speed. And $11 for an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet it's a fair deal. The decor won't win awards, and we could have done without the TV playing Nickelodeon, but if you're looking for value, like the spice and hate to wait, this is a good spot.

This is an awesome spot in the outer sunset to grab a wide variety of food. Their menu spans from American and Italian to authentic Indian cuisine. They're all equally delicious and i highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a pizza, a burger, or some legit curry

Decent Indian lunch thali special (in lieu of a buffet). Chicken tikka and chana chickpea curry combo comes with rice and house-baked naan. Thankfully, well-spiced (without the salt overload) leaving a satisfying linger minus the food coma. A serious hole-in-the-wall, a true Punjabi dhaba.

I was out at Ocean Beach at sunset, starving afterwards and looking for a place open late before my long 1 hour journey on the bus back to my lodging. Found this place open late and have been wanting to try an Indian-style pizza, so I had to! Of course, I can never resist mango lassi or pakora - both were fantastic (along with their sauces). The Tikka Masala pizza was good for sure, but I'll admit I was expecting a bit more of typical tikka masala sauce as the base. It was more or less lots of veggies/herbs and tandoori chicken. They were SUPER friendly as well, no complaints!

As we entered the restaurant, there were no guests. We still chose it for dinner. The restaurant is family run. The food was delicious, we had the Chicken Makhanwala (butter chicken) and garlic Naan bread. Be careful, the rice is not included, you have to order it separately for 4$. They gave us free tap water. The service could be better, the young lady only came to take the orders and serve the food. We got free wifi. The price is a little high for the amount you get but I would still recommend going there!

We enjoyed the veg masala pizza! I would say it was slightly pricy for what we were looking for since their Indian-fusion pizzas were the only thing one couldn’t order by the slice. All together tasty, but ultimately there are other options in the city.

Located in outer sunset, Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza offers an extensive menu from Indian to pastas and pizzas. I remember trying them couple of years ago when I first visited SF. Back then I tried their samosas, curries and kabab. They were pretty good. I believe they are still good. This time I tried their hot spicy chicken pizza and samosa. While samosa did taste hood, pizza was very unappetizing. On top of that it was burnt. The cheese wasn’t of the best quality and it was nowhere near spicy. For a small pizza and over twenty dollars, I would skip it. The chicken was overly colored, could be the same chicken they use for Tandooris. I would still try their Indian dishes though.

The place is locked away from crowd and crowded street, the interiors look okay. Food is good just about okayish. However the tables are cleaned and maintained. It kinda stinks of the left over food. Service is okay. The kids managing mess up the bills. If you don’t check the amount bill you might end up paying for others meal

The pizza wasn't bad (not much flavor, but the crust was nice), but I got a distinctly unfriendly vibe--aside from the young lady up front, everyone else was unfriendly. I snapped a receipt for expenses, and heard a man muttering about it... don't order here unless you're getting it to go. Why be in the business of selling food if you're acting like you don't want to sell any? Weird, man.

Z
Zackery Hastings

the food here is mediocre, but it’s close to home and it satisfies my Indian food craving. customer service is bad. i ordered a pizza over the phone and i went to pick up 20 minutes later. i’m sitting for about 5 minutes and the chef starts making a pizza. i ask if it is my pizza and she says “yes he forgot, and smiles.” just be honest, and i wouldn’t be so upset.

J

Pizza is mediocre much like all most mainstream american style pizza shops in the area. Indian food is decent but very overpriced. The gulab jamun was simply awful- greasy beyond comprehension, nasty taste.

M

The pizza was undercooked and doughy. I got the tandoori chicken pizza. It tasted ok, but mainly just of onion. Might be good if it was a little spicy and wasnt so soft.

I’ve enjoyed Indian cuisine all over San Francisco, but unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had. The dal makhani was unusually sour and totally lacked flavor, and the saag aloo was aggressively spiced with too much cardamom and tasted old—there was one lone potato in the entire dish. It felt like I got the bottom-of-the-barrel leftovers from March. To be fair, my partner liked his Chicken Biryani, and salad. I just had bad luck with what I ordered. Still, it’s hard to overlook how uneven the experience was. Service was almost comically bad—we were the only ones there on a windy Tuesday night, but it still took about 20 minutes just to get water. No one ever checked in to see how our food was, and we had to ask for the bill three times before someone brought it over. I rarely write negative reviews, but I left feeling both disappointed and ill. I hope this place can turn things around, because right now it feels like their hearts just aren't in it.

Prepare yourself for a culinary journey gone horribly wrong. Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, claiming to offer a fusion of Indian flavors with the beloved pizza, falls victim to an abomination that should never have seen the light of day. Brace yourself for a taste experience that will leave your taste buds begging for mercy. As I took my first bite of the Indian Pizza at Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, I couldn't help but question the sanity of the person responsible for this monstrosity. Gordon Ramsay himself would be left speechless by the disastrous combination of Indian spices and pizza dough that resulted in a culinary catastrophe of epic proportions. Let's start with the crust. It was as appealing as a stale naan bread left out in the rain. Dry, flavorless, and lacking any semblance of the light and airy texture that defines a good pizza crust. It crumbled under the weight of the ill-conceived toppings, unable to provide a solid foundation for this culinary disaster. Now, onto the toppings. The mishmash of Indian spices and pizza ingredients created a cacophony of flavors that clashed with every bite. The chicken tikka masala topping was a sad excuse for what should have been a vibrant and aromatic curry. Instead, it tasted like leftover chicken drenched in a bland tomato sauce, desperately clinging to the hopes of salvaging some semblance of authenticity. As if that wasn't enough, the cheese on this atrocity was an absolute nightmare. It resembled a rubbery, tasteless slab that mocked the very essence of what cheese should be. It lacked the creaminess and melt-in-your-mouth goodness that one would expect from a pizza topping, leaving me questioning the integrity of their sourcing and storage practices. To add insult to injury, the overall presentation of the Indian Pizza was nothing short of hideous. The toppings were haphazardly thrown together, lacking any artistic finesse or attention to detail. It was a sad sight to behold, as if someone had given up halfway through the process, leaving behind a visual representation of their culinary incompetence. Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, it's time to face the truth. Your Indian Pizza is an embarrassment to both Indian cuisine and the sacred tradition of pizza-making. Gordon Ramsay himself would likely go into a fit of rage, unleashing a torrent of expletives to express his disbelief at such a culinary abomination. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this misguided attempt at fusion cuisine. Head to a reputable Indian restaurant for authentic flavors or a dedicated pizzeria for a true taste of Italy. Spare your taste buds the torture that awaits them at Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza. In culinary despair, Tiaga Nidhan

As soon as I ordered masala tea and paid for it, the lady behind the counter said to someone in the back 'pehle waali garam karke dedo' ie just reheat and give the earlier one (presumably from a previous order) it's like saying just reheat and give the last orders left over espresso. The tea looked almost anemic and didn't even have a bit of sweetness.. like come on, I'm not diabetic or did I order pheeki chai. Ambience is incredibly shady, Do not recommend.

The food was uncooked and the food color added to the biryani and the prawns and chicken was undercooked, pasta was raw. And beyond this, the lady employee was too rude. She does not know how to deal with customers and she shouted at us and says that they are in this field for 23 years but the fact is nobody cares about the number of years but what matters is the customer review. This is the worst restaurant with nasty food and weird customer service that I've experienced in the entire California.

Well there’s a lot I want to say and most is not good. I ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and garlic naan. I will start by saying I was excited cause the aroma in the restaurant was amazing however the food lacked the flavor I was smelling. The lamb was not tender at all as well as the flavor got left somewhere from the kitchen to the table. The naan wasn’t it at all either. I was expecting basmati rice but got regular rice instead which didn’t make the dish at all. My one last thing was the tap water I was served with something floating in it. I will not be returning.

I don't like to look for the bad in a meal. But here I am, struggling to find anything nice to say. My boyfriend got a hot spicy chicken pizza. Visually it's very appealing. Taste wise, I don't understand what they were going for. No salt, spice or flavor beyond mushy warm tomatoes. I got the vegetable Tikka masala. First off be warned you must order rice separately, or you get none. The Tikka masala sauce was way too oily. It ate almost like a tomato soup with with half oil instead of broth. None of the married warm spices and intense flavors you'd expect in a curry. My Naan was greasy and flat like a tortilla. Literally the most unsatisfying Indian food I've ever had!
