Opinions de Kopiku Alameda
I’ve been to this shop so many times at 6:30AM, and even when it’s dark out and so early, they are perfectly kind and courteous. The service here is top-notch! And my favorite Kopi Klepon drink remains high quality at every visit! This place deserves 5 stars and the recognition it gets :)
Cozy and delicious coffee, reasonably priced and very friendly staff. I enjoyed avocado coffee and sagoo cookies, along with the songs/playlists too. Very cute spot around/close by marina district. Parking may be challenging as the main street is busy, but easy to find parking few blocks away. Highly recommended
Ginny and Rosa provided high quality service, keeping it easy-going while remaining professional. We didn’t know what pandan milk was, and were offered a free small shot to try. The drinks were beautifully presented and tasty. The music was relaxing We were even given a free sample of typical instant indonesian noodles, and explained how to prepare them! Undoubtfully, we are coming back whenever in SF! Thank you so much Rosa and Ginny 😄
We stumbled across this place and it is an absolute gem. I ordered the avocado toast with an extra egg and I can’t stop thinking about it 🤤 it comes with “seaweed sprinkles”. We also enjoyed our pour overs and Americanos. The owner Amanda was so incredibly nice and told us all about Indonesian coffee, brewing processes, etc. The atmosphere is clean, intimate, modern and well designed. We look forward to visiting again when we are in SF!
The best coffee shop in San Fransisco, I really loved the Iced Coffee Gula Aren. The taste was similar with kopi gula aren in Indonesia. There were also nastar and lemper, Indonesian authentic dishes. The cashier and barista were friendly and nice. The service was fast. Moreover, the coffee shop was clean and beautifully decorated. Would love to come here again if i visit SF.
Cute coffee shop serving carefully crafted Indonesian coffee/tea drinks. I had the pandan latte and loved the taste, how it wasn’t too sweet and that they had lactose free milk. I also really appreciated the server’s very thoughtful recommendations. The pineapple tarts were also very good, crumbled very nicely! I can’t wait to come back and try the other drinks and food!
It’s such a nice little coffee shop in the heart of SF that selling a variety of Indonesian coffee and cakes. I found this coffee shop by accident when I traveled to SF. The service was so good. The coffee and cakes were so delicious. It’s definitely my favourite coffee shop in SF and I will be back again!
Stopped by this cozy Indonesian coffee shop and had a great time. The vibe is super chill — warm, welcoming, and a perfect spot to hang out. We ordered the Kopi Mocha, Arem, and Butterfly Pea Latte. The Kopi Mocha was definitely on the sweeter side, but still had a solid coffee flavor underneath. The Arem was a great little snack — soft, a bit chewy, and packed with traditional flavor. The Butterfly Pea Latte looked amazing (that blue color is wild) and tasted light and refreshing, not too sweet. The staff were super friendly, the other customers were cool, and the whole place just had a really good energy. Would definitely recommend — 5/5.
Kopiku is my new favorite hidden gem, a place to bring people when you say that you “know a spot”. This is THE spot. They have some indoor seating but it gets pretty busy in the mornings. Before even talking about the delicious drinks, I want to mention the staff. They are very friendly and helpful, and get to know you. The owner is so kind and knows everyone, making it feel like a personal experience. My friend goes weekly, and he is very close with her. He even read our palms and gave us advice. It makes the experience of going to a coffee shop more personal. Now, onto the delicious drinks and food. They’re pretty fast at making drinks, and their pandan drinks are delicious. I got an iced matcha pandan and it was the perfect levels of sweetness. I have never seen these unique flavor combos, so I would love to come back and try more! They’re delicious and well crafted! The kaya toast is also delicious, quite buttery and coconutty. Everything is made with skill and love! Overall, I cannot give enough praises to Kopiku. I will definitely come and I will be bringing my friend here as well!
The drinks are very interesting. The place is cozy and warm. The owner is always there, and he’s really nice, the staff are too. I would totally recommend it if you wanna try the Pandan beverages, which was my first time doing and I was amazed. There was a line when I got there, but it goes pretty fast. It’s a small Indonesian business and I thought it was cool. Would definitely go back to have a drink and a chat with the owner too!
Great Pandan coffee in San Francisco 🍃 It's green, flavorful and very different than any other coffee you've had. This coffee shop also serves some other coffees although this is their best seller. They also have some delicious (indo) bites and I loved everything about the place 🫶🏻 Save this for your next trip to Lombard st :)
amazing coffee and customer service in the coziest, aesthetic shop I've never tried pandan in drinks before so I got the pandan kopi (iced) and it was absolutely delicious. the staff are the best part of the experience, you get greeted w a smile as soon as you walk in and they're ready to answer any questions you might have. another customer forgot to specify that she wanted her coffee hot and the barista remade it at no charge even though the iced version was already made which I found super sweet.
Awesome new coffee shop in town, and lucky for me it’s right next to my shuttle stop. Very modern, clean atmosphere with knowledge and friendly staff. It seems to be family owned and operated. You can tell they’re really passionate about coffee and quality here. In addition to my iced oat milk latte (delicious and I love that they didn’t stir it up!), I also had the pineapple tarts. The owner mentioned the tarts take 3 days to make since the pineapple jam is made fresh - wow. The prices are a liiiittle high, but it makes sense given the location, coffee bean quality, and non-dairy milks which are much more expensive. Kopiku Coffee is definitely going to become a part of my new weekday routine.
They are using a single-origin artisan coffee beans from Indonesia, so I'd recommend coffee lovers to try it without too much additional stuff. But nevertheless, my non-coffee drinking wife tried the pandan matcha latte and was so impressed with the rich pandan aroma. We really enjoyed their "Lemper" too, its Indonesian rice-ball with chicken meat covered in banana leaf. The sagoo-cookie is also good companion for a strong coffee, I'd recommend it to go with their espresso.
From the moment I arrived, I felt as if I were transported to Indonesia. I was greeted warmly by the 2 friendly staff members who directed my attention to the decorative menu on the left wall. Of course, I had to try the kopi pandan, and it was ready within minutes. I ordered it with 1 shot of espresso, oat milk, and less ice, and it was super creamy but not too sweet. I thought it was well-balanced, but I would consider getting the full 2 shots of espresso next time for a more robust coffee flavour. The barista was so sweet and asked me if I spell my name with a C or K. I could tell that they really cared about each customer's experience. I decided to drink my coffee at the shop and ended up meeting the guy who roasts the coffee beans. I inquired about coming early on a weekend to watch them roast coffee beans, which I found out about on Instagram before my visit. The coffee roaster gave me their contact information and invited me back to roast some coffee beans myself. I am so happy to have found this newly opened gem in SF, and I cannot wait to return for more coffee and maybe even roast some beans!
Great coffee drinks. Love the pandan cakes. Service was excellent. The shop size is a bit tight. I would happily drink/eat here again.
TLDR: 4.5 stars, friendly service and good drinks but some issues with layout and lighting The drinks were great and not too sweet, the servers and boss are super friendly. My small feedback is about the plates and the lighting. The plates are huge compared to the cake and it takes up the whole table space almost to the point where the cups don’t fit. Also the lights are pointed directly at the seats, which makes the light blinding.
This spot holds a special place in my heart 💛 My family is in the Indonesian coffee business, so when I discovered this café, run by an Indonesian owner serving beans from different regions of Indonesia, I knew it would become my go-to. I come here all the time. the coffee is absolutely delicious. I usually get the tubruk, a traditional, strong Indonesian brew ☕️, which I love. The owner, Adi, and I have become friends over time, and we always have great chats. They also host fun events, like Indonesian Independence Day celebrations 🇮🇩 and show up at the SF Coffee Festival, so follow their social media to keep up with the latest happenings. The interior is adorable, full of Indonesian elements, bamboo, and art 🎨. They work with social groups back in Indonesia, and part of their profits supports initiatives there. This is truly a must-visit in San Francisco. You won’t be disappointed! 🌟
Kopiku is such a gem if you’re craving real Indonesian coffee flavors! The drinks are bold and rich, whether you go for a classic Pandan Latte. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for hanging out or catching up with friends. I also love that they use authentic beans and sweeteners, so you really feel transported back to Indonesia. Pairing the coffee with their light snacks makes the experience even better. A must-visit spot if you want something different from the usual coffee shop routine!
As a Pandan lover, this place is a must! The flavor, taste and smell were perfection with the coffee. Sponge cake was amazing. It looks okay but the texture was lighter than I thought. Moreover, It’s not too sweet. Perfect pairing! The store was tiny and a little crowded but the line flow fast.
I loved the seasonal ginger drink with corn milk and just one shot of espresso. They couldn’t do decaf espresso but The barista was super nice and suggested I do just one shot instead of two. Also, every time someone asked for oat milk she let them know that their regular milk was lactose free and they all wanted that instead! It seemed to be a favorite of locals including a fire fighting squad.
Stopped by Kopiku Coffee and tried the Kopi Mocha. It was really good and refreshing. Smooth flavor, not too sweet, and a perfect pick me up. Nice little spot to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Great small business operated by an Indonesian who has brought sustainable and fair trade practices into their operations. Great selection of Indonesian inspired drinks and snacks. Highly recommend if you're looking for a local business to support.
A quiet gem of a cafe offering unique drinks and tasty bites. I enjoyed the lemper (sticky rice with chicken filling) and a kopi pandan latte. Barista was thoughtful and checked in with me after I finished eating. Would love to come back for other items.
Wow! Stumbled onto this place while walking to the SF Coffee Festival what a hidden gem. Their Indonesian pourover was perfect - grind matched the process. Also tried their lemper. I admit that o was skeptical since they were premade. However, the taste and texture was wonderful for a quick morning bite.
Was staying at a hotel nearby and wanted some matcha, dropped by kopiku coffee. The staff was so helpful and friendly! The matcha was amazing and worth a try if you’re in the area!
Delicious, unique coffee menu and very friendly staff. I was helped immediately and my drink was made quickly. The owner should be proud of staff who were very polite and served me with a smile. The café is small, but clean and with small individual tables to work at. There were several people working on their laptops and a good vibe overall, with the staff friendlily chatting with a customer. There is also a restroom in the back. At first I thought the drinks seemed expensive, but I realized that they are priced reasonably for not only the high-quality ingredients and taste, but also the amount of drink you get. It actually took me a while to finish my iced kopi pandan, I don’t know how large it actually was, but I would estimate 16-18 oz? I feel like other cafés have charged me similar prices for 10-12 oz. FYI, you can also choose between single or double shot espresso when ordering, which is another plus for me. They also sell bagged coffee, blends with mostly acidic/fruity notes. Decently priced in the $20s range. I was impressed by their thoughtful selection of menu and I am pleased to see more Indonesian culture present in SF, these are unique items that I have not seen elsewhere before. This café is an excellent addition to the SF coffee culture and if they do not have multiple locations already, I hope that they can open more when the time is right for them.
Was visiting SF for the weekend and stay in the nearby hotel. got their pandan latte with coconut cream and palm sugar!! Delicious with nutty tones and aftertaste!!! Def visiting here again when im in the area 🫶🏽
After a local telling me that this is possibly the best coffee in town, I opted for a matcha but got my boyfriend the ‘Kopi Pandan’. I’m not a coffee drinker anymore but obviously had to taste it & I swear it was so good that I could be swayed to drink coffee again! Haven’t stopped thinking about it either but I’m not mad about it!!!
I understand the hype. Really delicious and unique flavor of coffee. The Pandan Bolu had a really lovely texture as well.
My first time giving avocado + coffee a try, it did not disappoint. The pandan sponge was warm, sweet to taste, i wish i could have more of it 😛 The barista was so friendly, which felt nice :)
TLDR: as someone who’s not a big fan of flavored coffee at all, I was actually so blown away by their coffee drinks!!! I find flavored coffee drinks usually just taste like overly sweet coffee (more of a plain black drip kind of person), but my boyfriend wanted to check this place out. I was having trouble picking out a drink, it felt lame to come all the way to this coffee shop and get drip coffee… the guy at the front (I’m assuming the owner, who was very friendly) recommended a few drinks, and we choose the Kopi Pandan and Kopi Avocado (I was also veryyy skeptical about the Kopi avocado, was mentally preparing for it to be a dud). Additionally, we were recommended to get the Lemper and the indo ham & cheese pastry. Wowowow, everything was SO good!!! Im not a huge fan of ube flavored things, so I assumed I wouldn’t love the Kopi pandan, but I really loved how it tasted! The Kopi avocado was also delicious. Who knew avocado + coffee could taste so good. And the pastries were also SO delicious, our favorite was definitely the lemper. Will be coming back! :)

Coming here 2 days in a row for their Ice Kopi Gula Aren & Ice Kopi Pandan Latte. The taste of their coffee & snacks are the closest to my hometown, Medan, Indonesia🥹 Def one of my highlights in SF!
I stopped by Kopiku Coffee today and ordered an Americano—espresso with hot water—and it turned out to be the most delicious cup of coffee I’ve ever had. The beans were clearly high-quality and incredibly fresh, giving the drink a well-balanced, full-flavored profile that was mellow at the same time. Normally, I drink my coffee plain but end up adding a fair amount of cream to balance things out. Today, my barista Jenny added just a small dollop of milk, and it was exactly what the Americano needed—no more, no less. The shop itself is charming, with a unique look and layout that feels perfectly suited for a coffeehouse. It’s cozy yet lively, and judging by the crowd I often see on weekends, it’s clear they have a loyal following. After today’s experience, I completely understand why.
Something different in a world full of lavender and vanilla lattes. Very good variety, so this is a great spot for all kinds of coffee enjoyers. I personally enjoy my pandan kopi half sweet :)

new indonesian cafe serving unique espresso based drinks, most notably known for the pandan latte. interior was cute and all the employees were knowledgable and friendly. overall, wasn’t too impressed by the pandan latte but the kopi avocado was top tier. would come back to try other drinks! pandan latte: nice pandan flavor but wasn’t the biggest fan of the base latte. 3 stars kopi avocado: one of the best coffee based drinks i’ve had. an affogato with avocado base, top tier.
Cute shop that has a warm inviting ambiance! I ordered the kopi pandan drink which was so good. I loved the layers and the pandan flavor was aromatic/added that little extra something to the coffee. Unfortunately, my friend ordered an iced matcha and it was horribly under mixed with clumps of matcha powder throughout. The wait definitely varied by drink which is expected but felt pretty extreme with a friend’s drink taking probably almost 10 mins longer than mine. Not a big deal unless you’re in a rush and we weren’t but thought it’s worth mentioning.

I really liked the uniqueness and cozy vibe of this place. If you have a sweet tooth, you can probably find lots of interesting treats here. I’m not much of a sugar person and try to limit it, and I also don’t consume milk in any form because my body doesn’t tolerate it well (not related to lactose). It makes my stomach bloat and can cause minor rashes. Today I visited and ordered an oat milk latte and a ham and cheese croissant. I always pay attention to what’s rung up at the register (because sometimes when I say “oat,” people hear “whole”), and everything looked correct. I got my latte and croissant and immediately noticed the coffee tasted unusually smooth. I thought it might be the type of oat milk they used. But when I started eating the croissant, I realized it was a plain croissant. I didn’t want to bother the barista, not a very big deal, especially since I’d already eaten half. However, as I kept drinking, once the foam settled, I could clearly taste regular milk. I stopped right away and felt pretty upset. I didn’t say anything to the staff because I don’t like being the person who complains over small issues and demands their order to be remade, and I also work in food service, I just never want to make anyone feel bad for any kind of mistake. Eventually, when I left, my bloating started and didn’t feel good in general (but that was just the milk that I do not tolerate). I just wanted to share my experience so you’re aware.
