Salt and pepper boneless chicken wings Fried shishito peppers Both were excellent
Monkey King At The Brewery is Monkey King's second location. They have a range of Asian fusion cuisine: wings (bone-in or boneless), fries, fried rice, etc. My wife and I really enjoy their wings, garlic noodles, Crab Fried Rice, and fries. You can add on a side to the wings (e.g. fried egg, Chinese sausage, fries or tots) with an extra cost but it's a good portion. With the Brewery next door, if you order at Monkey King they'll give you a number and bring your order to you, so you can have good beer and good food. Their dessert is good too, churros and ice cream or s'mores fries (yes, I said s'mores fries, fries with cocoa powder and marshmallows, the ultimate salty sweet). We really enjoy Monkey King.
This is a go-to every time we're in the Bay Area. They have consistently good food, and their wings are some of the best I've tried! They are right next door to a brewery and you can just take your food over and get a great beer with your wings. Don't miss out!
Love The monkey King in Alameda. That is definitely the spot where me and my son went to go and eat there. I ordered the fries and the dry fried ribs. And the lumpiaslumpias and the garlic noodles. So delicious and yummy.
Wings were great, wife loved the garlic noodles and the jambalaya rice. Music was a touch too loud, but that could just me being old. Staff was very nice and food was brought out very fast and very hot!! Will go again
Great experience went out the other day right before they closed and still let us sit in great customer service from Cesar he was helpful and knew a lot about the menu he should be the manager soon
Great food and cool people that works at this location
Amazing food, superb customer service, the place is kept clean. I absolutely love their boneless lemon pepper wings! And their garlic noodles are really good also
I absolutely love their garlic noodles! While its definitely heavy with the butter, its comforting, flavorful and delicious. Love the texture of the noodles and how its packed with tons of garlic. I enjoy the salt and pepper wings and the jambalaya fried rice. The crab fries are so delicious and have a nice hint of spice. I've been coming here for years and having their food always leaves me in a happy and satisfied mood.
Ok I'm so glad I was given the chance to rate this establishment because someone gave then an incorrect rating. So let's get a few things straightened out. The Monkey club they rated was the wrong establishment. The person rated the brewery not the restaurant. There's two locations folks but one owner. Now the food location is further up the block on the same block! The restaurant owner is so cool we can watch football while eating, dance and bust a move if your favorite song comes on while eating! But the food portions are amazing! Because one plate can feed 2 to 3 people! Yes sir Yes ma'am! The only thing I don't like is you have to walk up and order your food and then go sit down and wait for it. Now if you forgot what your guess wanted then you either have to call him or her or yell across the restaurant and who does that ??? The drinks are on hit and you must go after 5pm for that great vibe the restaurant offers. Great for large birthday gatherings or watching a game and listening to great R&B selections! As for the food everything is great but my favorite is the crab fried rice and honey walnut prawns but don't sleep on those freakin "dried fried ribs"! Suky suky now!
It's a restaurant that offers a variety of flavors, but the quality and taste never change. I love it because it's very clean, and the service is very quick. The staff is always very friendly. It's worth checking out and trying the food.
My family and I had lunch there; it had a great atmosphere, and the food was delicious.
Some of the best chicken wings in the world to me with a nice surrounding environment. I don't think you'll be disappointed
This place is sooooooo GOOD 🤣 we drove from vallejo 3 nights in a row just for some lemon pepper wings!! The place is nice to dine in as well. Good size eating area. Their lemon pepper wings are Phenomenal .... Big Back Tingz! 😆 Never a disappointment! 💯💪🏽
Had to get my salt & pepper wing fix, and whew — they were fire! Hot, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely hit the spot.
Love my monkey King it's been about 2 and a half years since I've bn here and my gawd it's stio da ultimate best!!!! Thank yuh Monkey King! Hold nd cherish many memories frm here nd 500 stars for dat!!Yeeeee
Nice place to get a quick bite. It’s not a full service restaurant like the Monkey King down the street. This one primarily focuses on quick bites to share. Nevertheless, the Asian fusion food they serve is still very good. One unique aspect of this location is that it’s right next to Alameda Island Brewery. You are able to bring their beer into Monkey King and vice versa with their food.
I love this place! Cool happy hour / after work spot . With great selection of beer from the brewery and food from monkey king . The only thing is that there is sugar in everything 😩 the garlic noodles from the other location are much better but this is pretty good too.
Monkey King is an all time favorite for me and my family. The prices match the atmosphere, vibe, taste, and overall experience. This place is fantastic.
Got take out. The food is amazing. Jambalaya Fried Rice is amazing. The Spicy Crab Fries is really good too. Must try if you're in the area. You can also get ice cream for dessert in the same location.
Found this place after going to the brewery next door. We didn't know you can bring your beer here from next door and order food here!!! We walked and saw they have food and ice cream!!! It smelled delicious when we walked in. There were so many good options on the menu it was hard to decide what we really wanted. We ended up ordering the salt & pepper wings with garlic noodles, lemon pepper wings, spicy garlic crab fries, hot cheetos elote and salt & pepper mozzarella sticks. We didn't know each item came with fries, so we ended up with a lot of fries. The wings were flavorful, you can really taste the salt, pepper and lemon in each bite. The crab fries could've used more crab. The salt pepper mozzarella sticks were ok, don't think i'd order that again. The hot cheetos elote was delicious. The hot cheetos gave it that spice and crunch to it. We also ended up getting ice cream. They have a good variety. I got the mocha crunch ice cream. It was creamy and had the right amount chocolate in it with coffee. I will definitely go back to this place to try out the other items on the menu!

Love the crab fried rice with pork chops and fries. It was off the chain. Lol 🤣 food service and atmosphere is a great energy vibe In here.
Food was bomb of course ( crab fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and broccoli). This time we grabbed ice-cream and it was delicious! Scoops were nice and healthy...lol, didn't feel like we paid an arm and a leg for ice-cream which is typical these days! Now, I have a new spot for strawberry cheesecake ice-cream and real cookies and cream....Yummy!
Came at the recommendation of a former Bay Area resident. Do not regret!!! Food was hot and fresh. Watermelon lemonade was delicious. I had the gender two’s wings and garlic noodles.

Tonight it was no one in there and I called for pickup which the rep said it will be done in 15 minutes. I got there and paidy order was still not ready. 15 mins go by, I'm like wheres my order so I go back up to the counter to check and it was actually ready but just sitting there smh. They didnt let me know anything, just sat it on the counter. I was gonna buy something else but I changed my mind, took my order and walked out. The only thing that saved them was my food was still good and my chicken was not soggy yet. The flavors is of course there, I got This and That wings/Garlic Noodles. Itll run you about $14 bucks, good deal for the portion size.
This is our go to wing spot in Alameda. We enjoy the stringbean tofu, garlic noodles, lemon pepper wings, among other tasty bits. We will continue to drive from the City for the excellent variety of tasty treats. Sadly, seems like complacency has set in. In the dining area has stock, industrial garbage cans and soiled rags visible.
This place is right next door to the brewery. They make good finger food. Did not try the dishes. I only hit it with 4 instead of 5 because the waiter did not seem like he really wanted to be there. Also I did not eat at the establishment, I eat between the brewery and food place. Should you go? Absolutely!!! Maybe you will have a 5 instead of a 4!

Great wings that will satisfy anyone's cravings. Wings are fried perfectly and are coated with just the right amount of sauce/seasoning. Flavors are bold and delicious. They also can walk your order next door to Alameda Brewing and what's a better combo than beers and wings?
Monkey King at the Brewery is a great spot for tasty food and generous portions at a very reasonable price. I had the garlic noodles, and they were flavorful and satisfying. I also tried the lumpia, which were extremely delicious and perfectly crisp. The portions are big enough to share, but you’ll probably want to keep it all for yourself. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

First time at this specific location, I've been to the original location numerous times but for this specific location the food wasn't as good as it is at the OG spot. The salt and pepper fries were sweet and not salty like I would have thought due to the name being salt and pepper fries. I instantly knew it was accent but just a bit too much of it as I had drank more than a couple cups of water while eating the fries and wings. I also had the garlic noodles but to me the garlic wasn't as present as with the original location. I really wanted to give a good review of this location but maybe I ordered the wrong items? The staff were friendly and the food came out relatively fast considering how it seemed pretty busy for a Sunday but perhaps I'll have to come back to try some of the other items. I'm not knocking Monkey King at all, just this visit had me confused with how the menu items could be different from the original location when they are the second location just with a brewery attached to the adjacent side. Don't let my review discourage you from visiting this location though, it might've just been busy and it could have just been a honest mistake. If you haven't been to this location and have been to the original spot don't hesitate to try this one out if you enjoy a slightly larger location with the attachment of a brewery next door. I'll have to come back here and try it out another time because they do have good food!
I ordered food to go. My food was fresh and hot,but very salty. After many years my food has never been salty. Other than that. Customer service was great. And their food is usually delicious.
Loaded tots were soggy with dried sausage drenched in a salty sauce. Lumpia was very tasty but over-fried. My friends loved their food, so maybe I caught them on a bad day. The staff was friendly and my friends were the best part of the meal.
Boneless chicken (Cajun) was rock hard and lacked flavour. Cajun boodles is just a typo for noodles. They're decent, but greasy in a bad way. Atmosphere in the dog-friendly garden patio is awesome.
No greeting, party of 6. QR code is the only way to order from the table. Food orders incorrect, and medium temp, but the kids enjoyed the food
Overall, 3 out of 5. It does have a nice vice, we went and had about a 30-40min wait for two. they were really busy but the staff were able to keep up. I must say for my first experience here, the garlic noodles had waaay too much butter and we left the plate pretty full. The honey walnut shrimp sauce was thick like mayonnaise, sadly to say and it just wasn't edible. The spicy wings and rice, without ginger, was the best. The Ninja turtle drink was awesome, not watered down very well made. The bathrooms need a real makeover. As much volume as they receive, you would think it wouldn't look like a gas station bathroom, needs to be cleaned and little lighting. It's an okay spot, but they do need to upgrade. Overall, it was okay, maybe some nights are better than others but definitely try it out first.
First time here went about 1pm, no line just a few customers seated. Got shrimp fried rice & lumpia to go & scoop vanilla bean gelato. Rice was ok, could hardly see egg & green onion but lots of rice. Lumpiadoesn't have a lot of filling inside & gelato was just ok.. Friendly staff & not a long wait. Not sure if I'll return

Food is hella good. Cajun noodles and jambalaya rice. Straight fire... but the lady tacking the order very rude, and nasty to alot of customers.. need to get rid of her... beside that just take the food, to the brewery..
I’m honestly really disappointed with my experience. There was some kind of glitch in their system that charged my card, and I still haven’t gotten my money back. I tried explaining it, but I just kept getting the runaround instead of a real solution. The company itself seems great, but the employee I dealt with was not helpful at all and didn’t seem to care about fixing the issue. Also, when I ordered ice cream, there was this weird chewy stuff when i ate the ice cream and i didnt ask for it that did not look right. It completely ruined it for me. I wouldn’t recommend this location until they fix their system and improve their service.

Had garlic wings and garlic noodles, not impressed. Wings hardly had any flavor were very greasy. Noodles bland. Won’t go again.

I ordered my food two hours prior to my arrival and my order was not ready. The food was horrible tasting.
okay first couple of times very good. I'm over it. Nasty Salty greasy chicken. Stir fried Rice hard and dried out. I had to wipe off, squeeze chicken. Service is off and on HORRIBLE. I suggest bring your own food if hanging out at Alameda brewery, or have it delivered. NASTY AND NOT WORTH CHARGE!!
My chicken wings still had pink on the inside and it wasn’t just one it was at least two got so disgusted I stop eating it completely used to be my favorite stop but now the food is rushed and lacking flavor and time it takes to be cooked

I’ve been coming to this location for years and the food quality has failed drastically. I got the crab fried rice and there was more egg and onion then crab I remember eating the crab fried rice and getting small bits Hard shell inside the rice also so they’re being stingy with the crab an the garlic noodles weren’t as creamy and garlic as before. Very dissatisfied
