Yum! Ordered delivery, no complaints. The pork fresh rolls were surprisingly fantastic, tasted ice tea, and the vegan pho was perfect. Kudos for nailing the eggplant! The vegan broth was very satisfying, not thin or boring. I feel better after eating! Generous portions for the soup as well.
Delicious food, great portion sizes, reasonable prices. I loved the spring rolls with peanut sauce and beef rice noodle pho. My husband got beef with vegetables over rice. He was also very happy with his meal. We would definitely eat here again. Service was very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant is cozy with cute decor. My only criticism is that there was a lot of hand soap from the dispenser on the floor which made the bathroom very slippery. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they were responsive. The music was also a little bit too loud, plus it is a relatively small space, but I still had a pleasant experience.
I came up from LA to eat here with a friend, it was a rainy day and I had not had some Bay Area pho in years. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food with huge portions and incredible flavors, this is the spot! I came here craving a good bowl of pho, and they absolutely delivered. The broth was rich and fragrant, packed with depth that you can only get from hours of simmering. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the portion was massive--definitely come hungry! But the real star? The roasted duck. Perfectly crispy skin, juicy and tender meat, and packed with flavor. It was easily some of the best I've had. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. If you love authentic Vietnamese food and want to leave stuffed and happy, this place is a must-visit! Make sure you pay for parking at the meter if you park in back! It's close enough to LAX to uber to if you have a long layover.
Awesome food and chef and owner is great. My daughter has Celiacs disease and makes sure to help us navigate what is safe on the menu. Such an awesome place and food is incredible
Amazing! I went here on a double date and everyone was so satisfied with everything. We split the duck skin skewers, sticky fried chicken. And chicken salad, oxtail pho, garlic noodles with duck, and bun Bo hue. The sticky fried chicken sauce was amazing and the fried chicken and duck skins was so crispy. The 100 hour bone broth for the soups was so rich and complex! We will definitely come back!
There is more than meets the eye to Pho De Nguyen l… Food is extremely delicious 😋 & authentic… Totally reminds me of my home cooks meals from my childhood. Please they also have Bon Mi sandwiches, which is not listed on their menu… I really wish those sandwiches 🥪 are listed on their, for I really would order them… I’m Vietnamese & extremely picky with my food 🍲… This restaurant is my 2nd favorite, knocking BayHill Vietnamese Bistro to 3rd. But Got Pho is still my #1…
What can say, this place is a one of a kind. Definitely try the Pho (with 100 hr broth) , and the duck garlic noodle, and chicken wings - you will not be disappointed! And for those who are fried skin lovers, they have FRIED. DUCK. SKIN. SKEWERS. I ate here before a road trip and I stuffed myself so much I almost food coma'd before we even left the parking lot! A must try for Vietnamese food in the area~
I was visiting from NYC and the pho was sooo good I’m still thinking about it! The noodles and broth flavor was 10/10. the waitress recommended my bf got some chef special that’s not on the menu and he really enjoyed it! The service was great. The place is clean and food came out fast! Great place to go for authentic viet food!!
THE BEST PHO IN THE BAY! 100 HR Bone Broth. So F'n Yum. Everything is Tasty: The Duck, The Wings, the Garlic Noodles! My Fav Fav is the Bun Bo Hue! If you like spicy savory soup this is the Go to! Phoung, the owner is a great dude. Please support small Business and keep the American Dream Alive!
Probably one of the best Vietnamese spots in the Bay! The pho is authentic with great flavor! Also vermicelli dish was the best! Grilled tender pork, shrimp and egg rolls! This little hidden gem is in San Bruno and own by a young couple who work hard at their craft and it shows!!! Follow them in IG for specials like lobster and streak! @phoDeNguyen 5 stars! Totally recommended
Been a long time customer. This place is amazing. Always fresh ingredients. Delicious broth. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. Friendly staff. Nice area with plenty of parking .
We enjoyed our meals at Pho de Nguyen. We had the bone marrow and shrimp rolls as appetizers. The bun bo hue and beef garlic noodles were OK. It lacked any garlic taste but rather it was kind of sweet. I'll skip that next time. They have a QR code ordering system which is confusing. Service was excellent.
This appetizer platter was incredible! It is perfectly balanced from light, sweet and nutty options like the spring rolls to heavy, savory bites like the honey garlic wings and egg rolls. The duck skin skewers were so crispy paired well with the drizzle of sauce on top! Service was fine, it just took a while to get their attention when we needed something. The dining area has plenty of light and space to accommodate large parties if needed.
Arguably the best << Bun Bo Hue >> in the Bay Area. The depth of flavor (beef, lemongrass) comes through in the 100 hour bone broth, well-reflecting the Hue roots of the owner-chef family. The Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, crispy fried and perfectly fragrant of garlic, jalapeño. Bun, with chopped crispy spring rolls and choice of protein — shrimp and grilled pork glazed with caramel, full satisfaction. Open weekdays from 8am, a nice savory breakfast alternative to pancakes and donuts.
Excellent food. Portions were generous. Food has a lot flavors. We ordered Duck Garlic Noodle, Beef Pho with Oxtail, and Bun Bo Hue. IMHO, All were excellent. Appetizer..Deep fried Duck skin is amazing.
1st time here, atmosphere was nice, Vietnamese music playing in the background. I scanned the bar code and placed my order. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!!!! Yum yum!!! We found a favorite pho restaurant.
We were her visiting from So Cal and found this awesome place. They have parking in the back so don't go searching the street forever. The pho is made the right way; The bone broth is boiled for days and has really amazing flavors. The chicken wings were somehow juicy and crunchy and super flavorful. If you want real legitimate Vietnamese food you will find it here and the price is right considering the location, quality of ingredients and the amount of preparation that goes into Vietnamese food.
The food was amazing absolutely would recommend the sticky wings and garlic noodles. The Pho broth was the best i have ever had. The owner, Phong, was a really kind and overall good guy. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Came to give it a try, after hearing it on social media and recommended by a colleague. Very friendly and understanding staffs, plus legit Vietnamese dishes. And the broth for the pho was superb, you can really taste the authenticity. Definitely will be back!
Impressively good Bun Bo Hue and beef spring rolls. Entrees roughly $16 and apps roughly $10. Very nice setting and service, will be a new go to

Really delicious pho! Had the spicy beef and the combo. A lot of flavor in both. Also the fried duck skin was a special little side. Can't wait to stop again when next in the area. Photo is because we ate it all!
We had such an amazing experience at Pho de Nguyen! Super kid-friendly and family-friendly, with a cozy, homey atmosphere and amazing service. Cat was incredible, she explained how to order, gave perfect food recommendations, and even shared great tips on places to check out around San Francisco while we’re on vacation. The pho was phenomenal (rich, flavorful broth and huge portions), and we also loved the chicken wings, crab rangoon, and Thai iced tea. Huge shoutout to Linda, the cook and Kat’s mom- such a kind and wonderful person. She even made lemonade for our 8-year-old even though it wasn’t on the menu. He said, “She is so sweet. We have to come back because we love her.” We’re pho lovers and this place was absolutely perfect for us. Highly recommend. The next time we’re back in the San Francisco area, we will 100% be coming back to visit Cat and Linda!
Let me start by saying I absolutely love this place as well as the food. The flavors are always amazing and the broth is phenomenal. My only issue is with takeout orders. In my experience, the portion size varies quite dramatically. One order , you may get a full container, bursting with noodles and meat. The next, barely half way. I hope that they become more consistent, I hope to enjoy the food for years to come.
Came on weekdays. No wait. Parking: pay street parking or a few blocks walking distance free parking. Cleanness: Average +, the inside of restaurant, the dipping sauce small plate, chopsticks, sauce bottles look clean. Foods: 7/10 (I'm a picky person). use QR code to order or you can ask server to order. Ordered special pho noodles. This is my personal opinion, soup is a little above average in favor, meats are good not too hard. Noodle is little less than I expected, but should be good for most people. Veggie: noodle comes with on side, lime, bean sprouts, thai basil, and chilli. The basil is little out of shaped, old. But the basil is hard to keep fresh and green, so it depends on how picky you are. Others are all good. Price: $16 plus tax and tips. Maybe a little pricey but everything is going up nowadays.
The food was tested good. However the services is always keeping so busy for that Female Cantonese waitress! This is my second time coming and seeing that other two Vietnamese did nothing for the customer and let cantonese waitress did everything. They let her services the customer and cleaned table and chopsticks baskets. They were chatting, eating while seating and play the cellphone. When the customer picked up, they won’t do help. When she told them could you don’t be late next time. I couldn’t handle by myself alone. The Vietnamese girl even didn’t looked at her😆It is a good space to watch the toxic work environment drama👍👍👍
Rating is only for the taste of the food. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet for takeout. The broth for the Pho Dac Biet was really savory and it just tasted really beefy compared to other broths. The rare beef pieces were really tender and as most people have mentioned seemed high quality. However I can't recommend ordering takeout. The portions were awfully small: I only felt full after drinking all the soup they gave. I'd say you only got one or two pieces per beef meat types, and only half a meatball, which was also cut in half. The restaurant used a plastic cup for the noodles and meat, which looked a lot like a styrofoam cup noodle you could get at an Asian market, filled barely 3/4 full. My usual pho place is about $12 a bowl. The pho was really good but was it $14 + tip good? It's hard to justify paying SF downtown prices for the amount of food I got. I might try Pho de Nguyen one more time to try their specialty dishes but I'd go there to eat it.
The place was pretty full when we arrived, but we were seated right away. The worker reminded us that parking is not free and to make sure we pay — which is a great reminder because it’s easy to assume it might be complimentary and grt a surprise parking ticket. Parking in this area is paid 7 days a week unless it’s a holiday. Pro tip: it’s cheaper to park behind the restaurant than on the street. Ordering is done through a QR code at the table. The system is simple, clear, and easy to use. We ordered the Oxtail Pho, Bún Thịt Nướng, and Pho Tái Gầu. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was tasty! The oxtail was very tender and flavorful — definitely the highlight. The pho broth was light and not too salty, very comforting (though it did cool down fairly quickly). The Bún Thịt Nướng was good overall, but the grilled pork was slightly tough — I wish it had been more tender. Overall, it was a nice lunch. The Oxtail Pho is on the pricier side, but the quality is there. They also prefer cash for gratuity.
The food was pretty good and I appreciated the choice of noodles that they had. Note that they only have one size (large) but they can split that into two for $3 extra. My biggest gripe is that you have to use the QR code to order, but the cell service can be very weak inside the restaurant, and they don’t have WiFi. Because of this, during my visit, multiple parties (including myself) had issues ordering and there were no paper/printed menus. In addition, when it came time to pay, you had to pay in person instead of the website that you ordered in, so it felt like an additional extra step. Finally, the tip on the card reader is post tax, although I did appreciate that the printed receipt had the pre-tax tip guidance.
We just arrived back in the Bay Area, and it's a cold day. It's quite the perfect combo for some warm flavorful soups. Pho de Nguyen didn't disappoint: the duck pho was on point, balanced, well seasoned, and light. Warms you up, and gives you the right depth to enjoy the broth. I wished they offered more greens on the side (culantro etc), and they don't have paper menu (so be ready to have a working Internet connection 😅)
Friendly eatery with solid Vietnamese fare ranging from appetizers to banh mi, but their highlight is their pho - lots of flavor packed in the broth and big portion size too !

You can get fresh sugar cane juice here! Highly recommend with ginger. Portions are also generous. Flavor in vegan pho was great and it included several varieties of seitan and faux meats. Only con: we weren't asked about allergies and didn't think to ask, but the vegan pho comes with Eggplant. Make sure you request this to be removed if you have a nightshade allergy.
We ordered the sampler which says it comes with the roast duck skewers but it didn’t come with it. When we asked the server, they said they don’t serve it anymore so it was a misleading. The pho broth was decent but the oxtail was sad and had no meat on them. The servers are nice though.
Food was good but they don’t have any printed menus and force you to order through their website with your phone. I discovered several bugs in their online ordering system and they just shrugged it off saying they already know these bugs. For every question you have about the food you have to waive the waiter over which is very annoying. In addition their front door is broken in a way that I as an well built adult had to push very hard to at least crack it open a bit. My 9 year old got squeezed between the door and the frame and had a hard time to get out. I witnessed multiple other guests also struggling with the door. As I pointed the broken door out to the staff they just replied that the door has been broken for a while but the landlord refuses to fix it. Huh??? They place was also not well heated so that all guests kept wearing their jackets. On top they play some super cheesy asian pop songs at a volume that made it quite hard to have a conversation. Even my kids who usually don’t mind loud music complained about it. This place offers solid Vietnamese food but they don’t care much about their customers at all.
The Duck Skin Skewer is delicious. 5/5 Garlic Noodles aren't garlicky enough; there's barely any garlic flavor. 3/5 Five Spice Chicken is unlike any other ones I have had in SF Bay Area and even Vietnam. It's almost tasteless, sadly. 1.5/5
Food was just ok, I ordered garlic noodles with chicken. The chicken wasn't great and didn't end up eating most of it. My wife ordered the beef and it looked better. It was off peak lunch so grain of salt but I think ill try somewhere else next time.
I tried the duck pho that so many reviews mentioned. The dish sounded unique and had great ratings, so I went in with high expectations. The duck meat was served separately—which I didn’t expect—and the pho itself came with beef. The duck meat was quite salty, but the broth was well-balanced and the overall flavor of the dish was enjoyable. What brought the experience down, however, was the service. Ordering was done entirely through a QR code, so I didn’t have the chance to get any explanation about the dish from the staff. Communication felt difficult, and the younger staff member who seemed to be the owner was noticeably unfriendly throughout my visit. It created an unpleasant atmosphere that overshadowed the food. I still left a standard tip out of courtesy, but paying nearly $30 in total for a $22 bowl of pho alongside poor service left me feeling it wasn’t worth it. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d return.
Pros: - Love the broad noodles they used here - Modern ordering through website Cons: - The broth could be more flavorful, especially the roasted duck one.

Ordered a filet mignon to go and was disappointed. This is what I paid $22 for. Never seen a filet mignon that looks like this. We asked one of the employees working there if they gave us the wrong beef. His reply was “We just cut it really thin”. Beware this is what you’re getting if you order a filet mignon.
Entire restaurant was freezing cold. It was colder inside than it was outside! Because of this atmosphere, it is no wonder our pho came out luke warm. Service was kinda rude. We were not finished with our meal and our bill was placed on our table. I must say the "older" waitress did say take your time, but within a few minutes later, the "younger" waitress put a credit card machine on our table and walked away. When I didn't pay, the younger waitress came by and informed me this is the only machine they have. She was implying that I pay now because she wants her machine back. Goodness! I'm not done feeding my 3 year old and she interrupts our lunch and demands payment! I still tipped them 15%.
First time trying this place. Was very disappointed. Ordered the 5 star chicken and it looked nothing like to pic. It was very dry. Thin Sliced breast. Not.like the first pic. Also, there was no garlic in the noodles.

We arrived a few minutes before 8 PM and clearly told the staff that we intended to dine in. They agreed and invited us to sit down. We placed our order using the machine, which shows the payment was completed at 8:05 PM. We also added a 20% tip on an $86 bill ($17.20) because we believed we would be dining in and wanted to tip the service staff accordingly. The restaurant was very busy that night, so perhaps our order was mistakenly served after customers who arrived later than us. Around 8:40 PM, they finally brought out our food, but packed in bags for takeaway. This meant we had waited a long time, paid a generous tip, and still had to take the food back to the hotel to eat it cold (we didn’t even have a microwave to reheat it), simply because they said that after 8:30 PM they only serve takeaway. A very disappointing and expensive experience, especially considering that none of this was our fault.
Came here with one of our business partner mainly because the other restaurants of my pick was closed. It was a big mistake. Never in my life I got so embarrassed because of such a terrible food. Both of us ordered pho and chicken wings. The pho was so full of msg and tasted like an instant pho. It was one of the worst pho I have ever had in the bay area actually. The meat was overcooked and smelled too. The chicken wings was the absolute disgusting dish that no one should ever ordered. I feel like it should not even pass the health standard because I was almost certain the chicken was rotten or something. It smelled putrid. They tried to cover it with a boatload of fish sauce but the meat itself is just... old and freezer burnt. Someone from the health dept should probably check on them because there is no way this restaurant handled those meat properly. Safe to say I was embarrassed enough with my business partner, glad she was understanding, but I will never go back in this lifetime and would advise others not to.
