We love the food at Willie’s. The meats are always so moist and tasty and they have a great variety of side dishes. I usually get the beef rib plate and it’s always great. Their prices are always much lower than other BBQ joints with similar quality of food. Service is always fast and cordial. The dinner has a nice rustic atmosphere.

Oh my gods bbq… that’s what the name of this place should be!! Pulling up to the parking lot, all you can smell is the deliciousness that was eventually served to me. I ordered the Botana 4 which had a bit of all, falling off the bone chicken and ribs, soft and juicy brisket, flavorful potatoes salad, beans and rice. Everything just melted in your mouth and still had leftovers to lick on your fingertips. Before I left, I went around to some of the other patrons and took pictures of their delicious dishes, your house burger and a loaded baked potato. All these I must eat and try. The staff was so helpful in decision making, place was clean and full of eye candy decor. YOU MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!! Delicious bar b q!!! Our kids loved the food. Very good price for the generous amount of food served. Brisket can be regular or moist I got the regular and the sausage is so good! The beans are so yummy and the potato salad is one of the best I've had. I highly reccomend this place. Also the chopped brisket sandwich is delicious!

I love brisket but wanted ribs. I ended up ordering a brisket sandwich with onion rings and took a turkey leg home. The food was delicious and the place was really busy. My friend ordered chicken and spicy sausage with green beans and corn on the cob. We will be back.

Fantastic bbq. The moist brisket is the best brisket I've ever eaten. The other meats are great also. Sides are good too. We eat here every time we're in the area.

The brisket was moist and smoky. The pork ribs had a bit of a dirty smoke taste. The coleslaw slaw had apple and raisins and was delicious! Mac and cheese was ok. My boys loved their brisket burgers. If they had brewed tea over the powdered kind I think it would be a more complete bbq experience. Overall, I'd go back!!

My go to spot when I don't get to my regular BBQ spot in time. I'm a sucker for the coleslaw with the cranberries! The Ribs were good, the Mac and cheese was saucy, potatoe solid and traditional. For those complaining about dry brisket , always always always order the moist no matter what bbq spot you go to. Better than lean for sure. The brisket I got though had bitter bark, meat was tender but the bark had a bad bitter/dirty smoke taste. Been here tons of times before, never had the brisket bark like that.

Decent BBQ and reasonable prices - the brisket was a tad dry, but I still ate every bite. I did wish they had an option for spicy BBQ sauce, but I mixed my own with Tabasco so that worked. The absolute best thing on the menu is the coleslaw - we ordered a large to go. Whatever you do - get the slaw!

Local barbecue place, I would give the food 5 stars, but not a fan of Texas Barbeque, but it was still good. Very reasonable prices, alot of sides. Baked Potato Monday Special, looked amazing!! Atmosphere would be 5, place could use a little better cleaning. I would come back.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Willie’s Barbecue was once one of the best barbecue spots in the entire Rio Grande Valley. The brisket and loaded potato used to be legendary, tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. But on this visit, the brisket was dry, bland, and missing the richness it was once known for. I had to smother it in barbecue sauce just to finish the plate. The only things still going for them are their generous portions and the addition of a drive thru, which makes it convenient if you are in a hurry. I will probably come back again, hoping things improve, but for now it was a disappointing and mediocre performance compared to the Willie’s I used to love.

This place does have an old vintage type of vibe. Even with little decorations such as the coolers, and the cash register. The only downside was that when we arrived they didn’t have any brisket. We tried the pulled pork stuffed potato with peach cobbler and a 1 meat 2 side plate. The pulled pork itself was very bland and dry alone. If you add bbq sauce it does taste a bit better. The ribs were good on the other hand. Now the peach cobbler was actually not that well. The crust was super soggy and it didn’t really taste as fresh. It tasted like if it’s been sitting on the counter for a while. There was a table as well sitting next to us where they even stated that the pull pork was bland. The only good thing that was good on their perspective were the bowls.

Had lunch for the first time, staff was courteous, place is nice and clean, most everyone was wearing masks. Ordered brisket sandwich, the meat was a little on the dry side and not much smoke flavor. The bbq sauce did not help as it lacked flavor. The potato salad, coleslaw and pecan pie were excellent.

Lately the loaded potatoe has lost it's touch. I've noticed food is bland, and the potatoes seem to be over cooked. Not my favorite.

Lately, they never pick up the phone when trying to order ahead. Once there, staff has bad attitude like if they do not like their job. Also, only one small container of barbecue sauce provided per potato! Great taste but will not return due to poor service.

Hadn't been here in over a year. Disappointed. They skipped my # by 3. When I went for our order, I found out why. Our burgers were dry, over cooked & not seasoned at all. The fries were not seasoned either & too oily. For the price, we would of been better off going to Whataburger. Quality has gone down. Willie's you should do better.

I had heard good reviews about this place but sadly I was disappointed today. The brisket was so dry as well as the chicken. My dad had gotten the ribs and when he bite into it it seemed uncooked. The corn on the cob was also very squishy.

Very disappointing to hear about my father being served ribs that were burnt to a crisp. There's multiple staff that should have caught that and not allowed food that badly burnt to be served to a customer. I know what it's like to work in the kitchen and when I saw a plate hit the floor and somebody job serving it I threw the entire thing in the garbage because you are supposed to care about what you are feeding people! I want my parents to be giving the proper meal that they paid for!
