This is by far the best one between Donna, and Weslaco as far as speed, and service. Like I stayed, they are fast, they get it right, and their customer service is on point! I always order curbside and they always deliver with a great attitude and smile! I go there when I visit my mom and it’s my favorite Whataburger restaurant I frequent. I had the Whatacatch meal and let me tell you it was deeelish! So Crispy, juicy and hot, hot, hot. I should've held off a bit but was starving. The lunch rush had just begun but the cashier lady was calm, friendly and courteous. Overall, it was just a great experience for someone in need of a quick bite in order to go back and deal with some car trouble.

How is great service pretty fast
This place no matter where it's at in whatever town or city. It always has some of the best burgers. Always fresh, always big and full of flavor. Same for the breakfast menu. Only thing that disappoints me are the prices. Oh well, want a good burger it's gonna cost. Anything cheaper and you get what you pay for anywhere else.
Burgers are good but need to order double meats since they are so thin. Great fries and onion rings.

The night manager was rude right off the bat. When I pulled to drive thru window to pay. Telling me to park closer in a demanding, direct rude way. He could've used the word, please. The cashier who my order messed on my friend's order after he repeated it twice at the drive-thru box. He brought it to her attention that his order was wrong. He repeated antiher a couple of times . She still got it wrong. I think because she had her earbuds on listening to whatever it was. He told her maybe you take off your earbuds and you wouldn't have mistaken my order. The food was good but the service not so.

I’m a DoorDash driver and arrived around 4 PM yesterday. The order was ready and waiting for me, so there was no wait time at all. The manager on duty provided excellent customer service, and the staff was friendly and professional. The restaurant was very clean and well organized. Overall, a great experience!

I just wanted to write this review to express my gratitude to the manager working there. I ordered my food wrong. It was completely my fault no wrong done by any of the employees. I had forgotten to take out certain ingredients of my burger. And even though it was my fault the manager at the time was nice enough to remake the burger for me. Love this location.
Wow I show up for the anniversary and my order was ready! Thank you guys for your hard work. Was thinking it would take over an hr to get order like pizza huts special but no in an out in 5 minutes. Will make this my preferred location as food was ready when I arrived unlike San Juan location making me wait 30min later than shown.

food is good. Today was much like the past times I have gone there where there service could use some toning up, seems like too many employees talking to themselves and ignoring the orders that are waiting to go out. so, they have to be asked for it.
I really like their burgers and chicken sandwiches. However, I'm not as crazy about their French Fries; they're okay, just average. I positively crave their Dr. Pepper shake. I don't like Dr. Pepper in the least, but this shake is spectacular!

Host was very prompt and friendly. A hard worker observed, during my time eating the meal. Cashier was very nice and helpful. Very busy day for the employees, so need to be patient and wait; thanks. Meal was prepared as requested and appreciated. Unit Manager could be seen very involved with the employees. Dining room tables and chairs; along with beverage fountain well maintained. Really good staff working to make sure guests were taking meals ordered. Thanks. Parking lot was full making it difficult to exit. Be ready for traffic on the way home.
Look, who doesn't like Whataburger? However the strong smell of beef in some restaurants is a little too much to handle. Alamo store has this problem. Also tables are dirty. Just being honest. And of course the burgers need no review as they are very good 👍
i asked for warm buns not necessarily toasted and they squashed my burger. I returned it and all ok. Then there was the pesky flies annoying throughout the meal. The flies are enough for me to not return. Solve your fly problem your sales will be affected.
My family and I stopped by for some family time and to have a quick bite. Food was great. No mix ups like last time. A lot of ppl working. Some with masks, which I appreciate, others not so much. Friendly CSRs. Received our food swiftly. Might stop by again soon.
Great staff, very good service, BUT ! They gotta work on their restaurant cleanliness ! ! I understand this is a very busy location but it is no excuse. Management needs to step up on keeping the place clean, floors are very slippery and dirty, I’m assuming tables are wiped down with dirty rags because they are sticky after they are cleaned. AND THE PLACE SMELLS DIRTY. Do better WHATABURGER!

Many of their burgers are just a soggy mess. They need to upgrade their traditional values with a modern menu that's more tightly packed with protein. I would rather wait longer for a much better experience than the same old soggy experience. Management please fix this simple cooking issue with the soggy burgers. It's not rocket science.
Received precooked burger two times I've eaten here in the afternoon. My food and fries were cold. I did order the hot wings and they were very good and served hot. When you are as busy as they are, you shouldn't receive cold food and fries. Paying over 10.00 per person for cold food is unacceptable. I love Whataburger and I know you can do better.
I got a number 1 and i was told if I upgrade my I can get a anniversary cup so I did. But I didn't get the upgrade just the same medium size french fries and a anniversary cup 😠
Been to this Whataburger several times. They are always super busy. Ask you if you want ketchup, salt and pepper (none in the bag) skip you and allow lots of cars to go after you. Ask why your food (just one combo) is not ready response “a couple of mistakes”. Like really? Then I get fries, but I ordered onions rings. TIP: Stop taking orders if you can’t keep up!
Management needs better training for crew staff once the order has been taken at the drive through, the customers orders should be repeated along given the total. Once arriving at the drive through window the order should be repeated again along with the total to prevent any order mix ups and incorrect charging. I know the line has to be kept moving due to DT timing meets but if any of these errors are met and follow through the DT line will move smoothly and within time. Only good part it’s that the crew member moved quickly to her mistake once I stated my correct order after I was already charged wrong, refund was done accordingly.
The drive thru at this location is very slow. All locations have a pay window and separate food window, but they rarely if ever use the first window. Ignoring g drive thru design. We love WhatAburger, this location is just average.
It's hit or miss with this whataburger... sometimes they mess up pretty bad, sometimes they are awesome...usually mornings are good, the 5 pm crew is.... well let's just say that have messed up a couple of times...
We ordered coffee but the only coffee machine said decaf, I asked the lady at the counter, she said the label was wrong, they no longer serve decafonated NO! How many people have drank that while under doctor's orders not to consume caffeine? How dare they risk People's Health this way? Have they done that to my mother, they could have killed her! As far as the atmosphere goes it was fine except our table was incredibly wobbly, I mean completely unstable to the point that you could not rest your hand on it. No way to stabilize it because it wasn't the legs it was stripped out where the pole connected to the feet. Why would you risk someone sitting hot coffee on something that literally leaned under the weight of the cup. I really wanted to love this place because it's owned by a local family. For now, I really like stars. Since I'm in Donna maybe I'll check out the weslaco Whataburger
I pay $1 to add avocado and y’all stingy with it. This place used to be good but must be new management because my orders are wrong more often than not. I understand mistakes happens, I get it. But it’s been consecutively. Edit: 9/10 they will forget to give you part of your or get your order wrong. I don’t recommend this location at all.
Some of the workers have a really bad attitude... some. It never fails, but either myself or my friends and family receive the orders wrong. The only reason why I still cone to this location is because it's closest to me. I have nothing against whataburger. I have numerous friends who work there, but this location needs help.
Worst service. They get your order wrong blame it on you. You order something you have missing items from your food. What's the point of the water Burger app if they don't follow exactly what you want. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's in a convenient location for me

The lady working drive thru today was clearly distracted joking with whoever was talking to her. Repeated order several times and still got it wronged. Charged for things that didn’t even come on my burger. Imagine ordering your food and paying extra for the things you want to still get a burger made however they felt like making it. This drive thru has gotten so slow and giving terrible service. Disappointing. What was once a favorite family spot has gone downhill so fast.

Worst customer service I have ever gotten at a Whataburger. There was error with my order placed on the app. I placed order for breakfast before 11:00 set to pick up asap but when I got there I was told it was pickup for 11:05 pm. When I said that was obviously a mistake and I was there to pick up the order I was told they couldn’t make my order because it was already 11:05 am past the breakfast time!!! When I asked to cancel and refund my order manager just rudely said I could do all that in the app and walk away to the back!!! Look I may know how to place an order through the app but I by no means familiar with canceling process and could have used a little help. So when I finally cancelled the order I asked employee for corporate contact info she started looking for it the manager came to the front and asked her what I needed to which he again replied “you can find all that on the app”. So done with this location.
I went to this whataburger in Alamo drive thru, ordered 3 piece chicken strips, they gave me the order and asked guy in the drive thru if they had any kind of hot sauce, he couldn't explain they didn't have any, then the woman behind him started getting mad for no reason, so they gave me only the food, but didn't give me the drink, I asked for my drink and they gave it to me with an attitude, like it was my fault they didn't give it to me in the 1st place, also they wanted me to move but there was a car in front of me, which they messed up their order, they kept telling me to move, they even told me to go around the car and over the curb, I am not damaging my car because of their mess up, when I got home, I noticed both the chicken strips and fries were overcooked and they looked like they were made a long time ago, they were reheated, I thought about returning to whataburger, but it was a long way, and didn't have time, had to throw them away, and bought something else, bad service, bad food, waste of money and time, I will not be returning to whataburger.
Time and time again this location always gets my order wrong. Tonight, before they handed me my bag of food, I asked if they put the extra chicken and extra dressing in the bag. The worker checked and, of course, my extras weren’t in there. She added them to my order and I get home. Lo and behold, the entire order was wrong. Of the two salads I ordered, one was an entirely different salad than what I ordered and the other had a lot of what I asked them NOT to put in. I’ve had so many bad experiences with them getting orders wrong. I know my review isn’t going to change anything, but I just have to point out that these workers just DO NOT CARE. Check your orders folks!
if i could rate 0 stars I would. Every time I come here they give me unsweetened tea when I order sweet tea. They don't give me the dipping sauce that comes with the chicken strips, and their fries are constantly old or cold. Ive been to the whataburger on cage less times and had more satisfaction there, never going to this establishment again. -5/5 stars.
I had ordered a chicken strip basket along with 2 extra chicken strips and extra medium fries. They didn’t add the extra food I ordered. The food tastes as if they had burnt something prior to cooking my food and used the same oil which gave both my chicken and fries the burnt taste. Food even had black burnt crumbs and you could smell the burnt on the food. All one wants to do is get home, sit down, feed the family and enjoy a wonderful meal without having to go back to the restaurant to complain. I called for a whole hour no one answered. Lately this place specifically has been dropping the ball more often then before. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ It needs better service better representation.
Always go to this location, great location but this time the food was cold and there wasn't much the manager jose or Joe could do other than offer a desert. We just wanted hot food , and on top of that the employees never know the orders when at the window. Then they have employees taking orders outside when its super hot during summer days. The managers blow...went back a month later and they had someone taking orders outside in 47 degree weather (no jacket) and the fries were trash AGAIN. The food doesn't even come out faster when someone is outside so i don't get it. They only care about money. Never again , ill just stick to the location on cage.
The managers are in responsible, very bad treated, for no reason all I wanted was food not a whole vocabulary of little children talking, managers fighting with customers as well, this has to be checked if they are being thought what hospitality is all about.. very bad experience
I ordered a sweet and spicy burger their was so much salt on this burger I thought to myself “This should be a crime if it existed”. Their was so much salt on this burger, it was incredible honestly, idk if it was malice could of been that
I placed an order for my family and I. And , again, burgers were cold, and I wasn't going to speak up, but this is the 2nd time this happens to me. And I'm a regular at Alamo Whataburger. We ordered Curbside, just brought the food, mo thank you or anything else we can help you with. No napkins, no condiments, I ordered 2 pies, only received 1, ordered a cup of gravy and it was all watery and cold. I understand it was probably busy, but wheres the accountability to ensure orders are fulfilled accordingly. Man, really disappointed!!!
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Whataburger. After placing my order three separate times, each one was incorrect despite the manager personally confirming the details. When I finally got home, the order was completely wrong, yet again. This level of incompetence is unacceptable and suggests a severe lack of attention to detail. It seems as though basic literacy might be a prerequisite that this location fails to meet. I will not be returning, and I advise others to avoid this location if they expect to receive what they actually ordered.

This location has messed up my order the last 5 visits. You pay for a combo and they forget to add the extras besides the drink. Breakfast combos won’t come with hash browns. Chicken tender combos won’t come with the gravy. Is no one inspecting the orders before they leave the window?
Went walking to water burger from my house.I live close by.We spent over fifty dollars 5meals made me make my own drinks.I asked him if they could help me.They said they could not.It was extra people there.Waiting not doing anything and the manager did not seem to care would not go back here again
I ordered ahead of time. My order was wrong. They forgot to put my sauces and I had to drive all the way back for them. They also did not follow instructions when I asked for the protein on the side. Unsatisfied.
Seems like new management. Service is slower and 7/10 your order will be messed up/cold/not fresh. The other bad thing is after you order, you confirm your order to them when the ask if it's correct, you drive up to pay, you pull up to the second window and they have asked without fail "um what was your order". Seriously is anybody listening there? I don't know what changed lately as I would have easily given 5 stars in the past. Now I wish I could choose 0 stars.
Just wow wating forever to get cold food and when I get to the window they almost gave me someone else's so I had to wait till they gave me a drink. How can u have another persons order ready before the one u just attended. I asked for avacodo and as u can see in the pictures below I got it but not in the cold messy burger.
Visited yesterday again, and still dissapointed. I specifically asked for fresh fries since I was planning to share with my toddler.. at this point they mock you or something! Fries were HARD and nasty.. called the manager who offered to replace the fries on my three orders 🤦🏻♀️ like that helps when you're sitting home eating your "food" save your time and go to a different establishment, this Whataburger doesn't appreciate business. Horrible hash browns! That crumbled when we would bite into them! So dissapointed in this establishment 🙅🏻♀️ manager is not helpful at all when i called to let her know!
I asked for a 20 piece nuggets and they gave me a hot and spicy, instead of the 20 piece and the girl was really rude, im never coming back, I asked for coffee and she said no, I asked ice coffee and she said no as well, then I asked for coke and she said it was not working, she was completely rude I ask to speak to a manager her name was vanessa she was nice but the customer service was so bad!
Whataburger in alamo never has ice rude customer service i asked if they had ice and the cashier mad dogged me and said were not refilling it up for you fries were as hard as a rock i broke my brackets from my braces and i swallowed the bracket almost choked moldy fries not fresh at all

This was our go to location for many years, unfortunately this changed after our last visits. Something is always missing in the order, last time I went there I was waiting at curbside for close to 20 min and they never came with my food, I had to get down only to find everyone running like chickens without heads, which is understandable they are a very busy location but what was upsetting was that the managers where just there sitting down and joking around. I asked one of the managers for help and they kept directing me to the employees by the counter. After waiting another 15 min I finally got my order only to get home missing a whole meal, I went back to the restaurant and the managers sat down gave me so much attitude asking for proof that I didn’t get my meal.. they finally replaced it.. does not end there.. I got home and started eating my burger.. patty was raw.
Places an order for delivery and did not receive the food and when I told the manager all they say it’s door dash but there delivery service is the worst you can’t complain with them Whataburger don’t care if you get the order they put all the blame on delivery service when it’s what they use don’t order for delivery ever you will not get the food.
The workers were rude, and i ordered the meal, they didn’t put the hash browns and forgot the drink. They were with their faces, and there was only two cars so shouldn’t have been an issue as to why the food wasn’t in the bag. Horrible.
Today was one of the worst experiences among others but I just dont understand!!! Why put an incompetent person at a drive through window. You seat waiting 25min and how I know it was 25min I heard 5 songs on the radio to keep cool while 5 cars pass by with thier orders. Then the lady comes to me with a small bag it was mine im like no order for 4 people then comes back with my order and forgets my drinks!!! She comes back 7 min later with my drinks. I get home my family is asking why I took so much time. They said never go to the one in alamo that for me to go to the one in san juan off the expressway so from here on thats where ill go. Even if I leave in Alamo sorry Whataburger of Alamo hope your management hires better leaders.
Whataburger in alamo went right now to by a number 2 combo and they did not put ketchup for my fries and no napkins McDonald's also does that for trying to save money ypur customers get discouraged Managers get on the ball with your employees.
Worst place to order from on door dash I received my chicken finger order and the chicken pieces were all small cold and dried out I called back and they didn’t even have the audacity to pick up the phone . I paid 23 dollars on door dash so they could send me their piece of junk food will never order from that place again poor customer service and horrible food I even paid extra for extra chicken strip and they have half of a chewed up dried out chicken this place is a joke.
We ordered online, we went to pick up curbside and they told us to get down. Double meat had no salt or pepper, no flavor. Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich had only a spit of buffalo sauce. Large light lemonade was plain water.
Buns burnt, meat was pink, fries were old and half filled. Very disappointing considering our family eats Whataburger at least twice a week. I’ll be going to the one in south cage in Pharr.
I waited over 30min to get my order and my burger was cold. The breakfast burgers were made wrong. Even tho I specifically asked for no sauce. I then asked for picante sauce and never got it. Sounds petty I know but if I waited that long it should be right and not cold.
Placed an order for curbside at 2:13, 3-6 min wait, got there at 2:18, waited until 2:34 to call, nice lady said they were still working on it, it was a double burger, fries and drink, not sure how it was so complicated, another 10 minutes go by, 2:45, a girl with an attitude finally brings the order, says thank you sarcastically as she walks off, fries were half empty, lot of ice when I asked for easy ice, no napkins, I'm just surprised they got the order right at that point, I've racked up like 30,000 points, that's how often I go, but that was the last time, the remodel didn't fix a lot of things, goodbye whataburger
Was the only car in the drive thru when I pulled up. Ordered at 8:57PM. Waited 15 minutes for my order then was told to park in the parking lot next to Whataburger where Muelle is. Waited another 6 minutes. All for a chicken sandwich and grilled chicken salad. The Trainer came out and asked what I had ordered. There was no explanation, apology, or communication as to what happened. Not even anything complimentary for the wait… Poorly managed poorly owned. Not the first time this has happened at this location. The one that has been pretty solid is the one on South Cage. If you’re reading this just make your way that way. It’s cleaner as well. Coming from Alamo I know it’s a drive but definitely worth it.
Dont recommend they will just give you old burgers cold & ugly fries. Nothing was good not to mention they didnt even have ice for cold drinks! Our dinner was ruined didnt open my order til i got home and i am allergic to mustard ordered "no mustard" instead add mayo , i open my burger & its full of mustard👎🏼 Everything was bad , you can tell it was an old burger they just added cheese or idk cheese didnt even melt it was cold already. Waisted money here for nothing since everything was bad.
