Everything is five stars about this place. Nice ambiance, really good food, and believe it or not despite being a taco place their Churrasco/Skirt steak was amazing. Portions were a tad on the smaller side but understandable for more delicate foods right? Drinks were expensive but it's 2023 and it's NY, right? You'll have a good time here. Enjoy!

9/12/21 Where and How and I describe this restaurant? From the moment you arrive Alberto welcomes you with a beautiful and inviting smile and they make you so welcomed. As if you were in Mexico and I haven’t even visited that country yet!! Our waiter Jonathan was exceptional! The Deco, Music, Table setting, Service, Food (everything was fresh) Drinks…Everything was perfect!! except the fact that we had to pay for the birthday dessert for my Son in Law’s birthday. This was the only turn off.

First time here as I’m traveling from Toronto and I had THE best experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. We ordered the Frozen Lime Margarita and Tumba Passion and it was 10/10. For food we ordered the tacos Apollo asado and the Big MC …. Also a 10/10. Drinks and food came in a timely manner and the music set the tone for a fun Friday night. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my friends !

I am in love with Taco Tumba! I came here for a private event and we had an amazing time. The food and drink was really good. The music was fantastic as well. The staff is phenomenal. I loved the guacamole so much that I purchased an order to go. I will be back soon.

Honestly a hidden gem in Astoria. We came in unexpectedly on Taco Tuesday and we were so surprised at the atmosphere. Everything was a 10/10, the service, the food, and the music exceeded all our expectations. Felipe was our server and he was the BEST! Such a vibe, definitely recommend coming here and vibing!

AMAZINGGG!!!!! Just come!!! Such an amazing experience and I can truthfully say it was all due to the staff- Jonathan and Candie!! From the moment we were greeted by Candie- it was already a great start. She was SUPER welcoming, sweet, and pleasant. Johnathan was our server and may I say- I have never had such an attentive, friendly, & quick server in such a brand new restaurant. Before we were even done with our first round, he was ready with the second! Oh but the food!- It was the cherry on top! I would really come back to enjoy the drinks and the staff because honestly without the staff- a place can have a whole different vibe!!! So thank you to Jonathan’s and Candie! Also- order the quesadilla tapas, lobster tacos (it has caviar) and Tumba Mescalita drink.

GIRLLL!! LEIDY was our server and she was amazing!! Probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Took care of us and made sure we good. Will def come back soon. Food and drinks were so good and def one of the more affordable spots around here. 4 drinks and 8 99 cent tacos with 20% service charge came out to $50!!!

Omg! here was impressed with unique vibe and music. I came for the three 100% Angus beef mini burgers, they were SO CUTE (Sliders) They also offer the delectable fish taco 🌮 flavorful elite corn and variety choose of appetizers. Drinks 🍹You have to try “ La Diosa” Buchanans pineapple, coconut cream, pineapple juice, agave and smoked coconut flakes.

Taco Tumba is a hidden gem, it has a unique aesthetic. And also perfect for a calm brunch spot with friends and family, you can talk to eachother and not have to scream across the table but still be able to enjoy the music. We were able to take our time and enjoy our food and drinks and never felt rushed. Heylen was our server and always checked in on us incase we needed anything. We also got shots from the house which was a nice touch at the end.

The atmosphere is great! Perfect for those IG picks. The guacamole is amazing, not as good as mine, but I didnt make it. I had the fish tacos, they have options for vegans as well.

Went here for Halloween this past year we had a great time ! The place was decorated beautifully and all of the staff had day of the dead face paintings they all looked beautiful and it definitely made a cool vibe for Halloween. We sat at the bar the cocktails were incredible they put a lot of thought into crafting each one to make it interesting using dry ice and different purée and foams to make it beautiful and they also tasted amazing !! The tacos were great very authentic street tacos we will definitely be coming back to this place I hope they stay busy because it is a great local establishment!

My cousin Dom is a regular at this place EVERY Tuesday and let me tell you how this place does not disappoint. The hospitality is amazing and the food was tasty. The drinks were not too strong but just enough for me to feel the effect when I stood up, thankfully I wasn't the DD that night. Pricing is affordable for drinks or tacos and this restaurant embraces Spanish heritage but ppl of all heritages are more than welcomed. I would HIGHLY recommend to EVERYONE to stop by and get the experience for yourself, you will not be disappointed 💯

Great food, flavorful and the kindest employees. Such great vibes in there, fun music. It’s a place you can go with friends, a partner and even family. Music is a bit loud but it adds vibrance and fun to the place. It is a bit pricey but reasonable because it’s well decorated and feels like a luxe party. Shout out to all the female employees they were super sweet.

Went to Taco Tumba for dinner with my friends and I did not want to leave! First of all they gave us welcome shots that were literally fire! We ordered a few drinks including the Tumba Henny in the skull cup and La Dama Moet and it tasted as a good as it looked! For dinner, I had to try their Birria burger which i’ve never seen on a menu before and it totally hit! The sauce was perfect and the burger was so juicy, 10 out of 10 for sure! We also ordered a few apps including the chicharrones over guac and tostones, the chicken flautas were so crispy and delicious drizzled in the white sauce as well as the garlic shrimps. We left so full but still stayed even longer at the bar because the vibes were so good. Over all The music was lit, the service was great, we were well taken care of and just felt like a good vibe all around!

My brother & I recently visited Taco Tumba and we were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is beautifully decorated from the bar throughout the dining space not one area is lacking in detail. We really enjoyed the food, specialty cocktails & the vibes with the dj! For appetizers we had the pulpo al pastor, which was incredibly tender & the mole sauce brought it to another level! We also had the queso fundido with chorizo chunks and it did not disappoint, as a cheese lover I highly recommend it. Their tacos are super flavorful! I had the langosta tacos which were not what I expected, but were very good topped with the mango jimaca salsa. My brother had the carne asada tacos & loved them, the ribeye steak was grilled to perfection. As far as cocktails, Santeria is a must, served in a skull & flamed for that extra wow factor. It was perfect & tasty. They also have a secret drink menu you must ask the waiter for, these were great as well but my fave was definitely the Santeria & Roses are Red (also on secret menu). And omg the chocolate tres leches was delicious. The service was on point, Isabel & Tony were amazing! Kuddos to William for such a beautiful establishment…we can’t wait to go back!

The place its beautiful, the service was great. Food was delicious.However, it is very overpriced. We had a party of 6 and our bill was 400+. $18 to $22 or more for 1 tortilla taco its ridiculous. Although 2 orders where fish and lobster it doesnt compensate. Even a chicken taco which their order onlt brings 2 single tortilla taco was more than $10 bucks. I rather go to the truck. I feel they charging more for the seating. It was my hubby bday and he hated it💔

I’ve been here for a brunch (MY FAVORITE!!!) and a Friday night. The ambiance is amazing. Whoever decorated this place is top tier. There’s a live DJ, mostly Spanish music, they mix it up on occasion (on a slow day you might be able to request songs). There’s food is honestly sooooo goooood and filling. I would say the price is mid, not super expensive but the food is very filling. And the service is great and fast. Everybody is so nice and constantly available and checking in.

Such a cool spot to celebrate events. Loved the vibe, the music in my opinion was better than that of some clubs I’ve been to so kudos to whoever is managing the music here. The food was great except for the tacos being a bit cold, and the pork chop not being as juicy, it was kinda dry. Nonetheless over all enjoyed all of it, especially our appetizers. Unlimited home made tortilla chips- warm and toasty and want to keep eating it😋The corn with the cheese stuff was delishhh. Our server Jessie was amazing. Was very cheerful and accommodating. Appreciate it Jessie :) The drinks were so-so. Some of it were either too sweet or too spicy. Another thing I want to tell the owner is I feel kinda cheated on the tequila shots. Each shot was like $13 or $14. It’s served in a bigger than normal shot glass and we were all so impressed with how generous the serving was. But, let me emphasize a huge BUT, the shot was only 1/3rd of the glass ;( the disappointment we felt esp after seeing the price was a punch to the face. It’s be nice if you either decreased the price or at least doubled the amount. Anyways, the employees were all very helpful and accommodating. Appreciate it :) thank you for your hospitality!

The place is very beautiful! The food is actually good. However, one of my friends did complain that her appetizer during brunch was not cooked all the way through and cold. My chicken empanada was amazing. The entrees were good and tasty. But it took 40 minutes to get an appetizer from the kitchen, which should be a quick fry. The staff was nice, but the young waitress with black hair wasn't really customer service oriented, not really a welcoming vibe, very quiet. However, I do believe some have off days, but in customer service, it's something that should be worked on in order to provide better service at table. But overall, it was a cute spit and still enjoyed.

Came here for my friends birthday dinner this past weekend and we had a great time. The drinks were great, the food was also good I just wish the portion size was bigger. The menu at the restaurant seemed to differ from the one they have on the website. The service was great and our waiter was very attentive. We were there from about 6-8pm and the DJ never showed up (they still had music playing, but I wish there was a DJ while we were there)

Service is horrible like 0/10 We were there for brunch and the brunch was for 90 minutes they took almost 2 hours an half to bring out our food and the brunch also comes with dessert and they didn’t give it to us until we paid the bill and we had to remind the server about it multiple time but I will say the food was the best and only part . Very disappointing bc they have such good reviews

The girl who served us excellent deserves 5 stars for her and the decoration of the place, my complaint is with the food very small for the price and went to other Mexican restaurants and staying hungry has never been an option.... But the rest is fine I wouldn’t come back just for that, and the Martini espresso is very watery... but the food tastes good with everything and the portions are not what I expected. ❤️

I went on a Thursday night to celebrate my in law birthday. Ordered the Flintstones beef. I believed it was beef because it was over cooked and salty. I’m not a Michelins chef but I could make a meat taste good. Looks better than it tastes. The price $60 for something that will give me kidney stones ? Nah I won’t eat that or make the same mistake. Waited 10 minutes more than the other people. It won’t come with nothing else than tomatoes and home fries dipped in a weird sauce. No rice or beans. 60 dollar plate does not come with any sides.

I wanted to try a new taco place, so I came over to check out this establishment. The restaurant theme/vibe is okay (bit too dark). The food presentation is decent but differs from posted pics. As far as taste, food was very bland and unfortunately almost little to no taste what so ever. Their spicy hot sause was very water down (green and red). The food is more like Tex Mexican American than Mexican, not so much remotely authentic Mexican heat. The price of a taco is on the high scale and really not worth it. I would visit other options. There is no physical menu, only a QR code, which is not ideal. Tips are forced. Overall it's just a show.
