Hell my visit was so good, got home and found that they gave me an extra cheese burger
Always great food at most Dairy Queens this one was also very friendly and nice.
The staff were very friendly!! The food was good and the facilities were clean.
Good food. Nice variety. Friendly staff. Clean restroom! Plenty of parking. Easy to find
This location was the 6th DQ opened. Nice employees and clean. Recommend for a treat or meal.
I love the chocolate malt. Fast and friendly service. I will be a repeat customer.
Very friendly service , great food. Best ice cream in town!
The customer service was better than any other Dairy Queen, ever! What an outstanding visit! Also, the swirl on the cone was perfect, even after it was dipped.
The cook during lunch is the best, she makes the best burgers I've ever eaten. If you get a chance drop in and see for yourself!
A great place to eat! Great service, and friendly staff. We always stop here when traveling through Albany!
The staff here is always AWESOME!
Hey Yall, I must admit, ,,I am not a regular of DQ. HOWEVER, yesterday I had a VERY good experience at Dairy Queen. While out with my BFF'S we went to DQ for lunch. I was a bit confused, not sure what to order .And, I ate the BEST grilled chicken sandwich of my life! ! ! It was juicy and beyond delicious. Oh, those MINI BLIZZARDS were great, also. But, who would believe a MINI could be THAT size? ? ! !
Went everyday for lunch for 12 days while out here working. Must say friendly people, great service, great food, and desserts. Everything cleaned and organized.
Ice cream and smiles. But, I always have trouble pulling in the right place in the parking lot. They've got this one section of curb that sticks up.
Friendly staff fresh food fast service good tea this is my go to spot when I'm on that side of town
We stop every time we are coming through for ice cream. The drive through service is always top notch. We don't really ever go inside the restaurant. It's a tiny bit antiquated but charming all the same.

My girls and I have a special place in our lives to this Dairy Queen. From supervised visit through cps to each one of my girls and myself working there! My ex fiance now works and his mom but in Abilene. Now I'm trying to go back to work at Dairy Queen however my situation with no ride and no phone service half the time and my stress I don't know if I can handle it. They turned me down anyways because of some report that they do background checks on said I was not eligible for hire. However I still love their blizzards and often go here simply to say hi to my girl!
I called in my order and picked up at the drive-through. My food was ready when they said it would be and was freshly made and tasty. Service was prompt and courteous.
This is such a nice dairy queen location. The staff was super friendly and really talked about their town with welcome and pride. They were fast and courteous. The store was well maintained and clean. It was a great stop on a long drive. I wish I could name the employees, but they were all great. Thanks for a pleasant stop.
Very clean and friendly. Food was good and fresh!
The people were so nice and the Chicken Fingers and gravy were tasty! We just moved to TX from WI and the DQ's in WI don't hold a candle to TX! The menu and the food is so much better !

It was good can't complain when your hungry! Service was excellent.
New New review. The last few times I've gone have been much better. I bumped them up a star. Last burger tasted like hand made patties. Service was great and very friendly. ************* I'll start with the good. The food was good. I haven't really bought food at dairy queen in a long time. As well, I have not lived in the small town of Albany Texas for 20 years. Update. I wanted this at the top, so it's read first. They have done much better on all of my previous complaints. My recent visits were much better. - The orders were right. - the food was delicious - the fries were better. - the order was out in a reasonable amount of time. And, the ice cream is always wonderful. ‐‐---------------------------------------- original old review Now the unexpected "not so good". Quick version - confusing ordering - non courteous to me - non friendly to me - seemed service was slow - looks the same as 30 years ago Story version It was 11:45am on a Sunday, so that is probably a contributing factor. I pulled up to the order sign and waited for a minimum of 5 actual minutes. I looked all over for a "out of order" sign, but none found. A lady inside finally waved me forward, when she appeared. I pulled up and I got no hello, good morning, or a smile (I thought this was small town tx). I asked if the order thing was out and she said "yeah. It doesn't work, what can I get you". She took my order and asked me to pull around front. Still no common courtesies. There were no spaces out front but I parked in a corner. They brought my order out 15 to 20 minutes later and that lady asked what I ordered, I told her, she handed me my bag and left. No thank you, no good morning, or afternoon, no smile, nothing. It looked like there were only the cook and those 2 ladies. I'm sure it's because the government is paying people more to stay home thank work and they are overwhelmed and short staffed. That being said, some basic courtesy would be nice. They may just not want new business since the small town regulars keep them going. I truly wish them good fortune. ---------------------- Update: I have ordered here about 5 more times since there is limited competition, really. But, I'm trying the others places in town, on occasion. No food order has been right, ever. what I remember: - one order was two burgers, large, and the fries were small - one order had no fries - one order had the lettuce that was supposed to be cut - one was not even my order. I am usually very annoyed when my fry order is wrong, but the fries are so disappointing, I'm not that upset, sadly. The fries taste like they are baked and reused for days. I have never gotten fresh fry at this place. On a good note, the staff has been a little friendlier. -----‐‐------------- Another update. My recent visit was much better. - The order was right. - the food was delicious - the fries were fresh and hot. - the order was out in a reasonable amount of time. And, the ice cream is always wonderful. Thank you. ‐----------------------------------- 6/2/23 1145am disappointing Alaskan cod basket ordered. Back to bad fries. Instead of the Alaskan cod, they put 2 of the sandwich square patties in the box. (Sarcastically) very appetizing.
It is just like every Dairy Queen. Great tasting and quick. Amazing ice cream also.

Food was cold!!! Then one of our special was mix and smash. Owell just a bad day no worries 👍
Don't know why it took about 30 minutes to get a burger there weren't many people inside. When there's a wait time of 10 minutes tops
Food good, but it took 20 min to get 1 burger and fry.
This DQ serves what you would expect from a fast food restaurant. It is decently clean, although it needs some work in the restrooms. Overall I give it 3 stars.
We were so bummed they were out of their lemon cake. They had a special, we ordered just for the cake...and they were out. Blizzards were good tho.
If you’re traveling skip this one. While the food was good it took over an HOUR to order and get our food.
We stopped here to grab something quickly around 8 pm waited a good while and had the new street tacos. They are really small and ours had very little filling one taco had meat and on cilantro leave as filling
Ice cream machine broke
Three of us ordered the chicken strip basket, which is always our go to. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings. The burger came out without the cheese or bacon; he realized this after he took two bites!! He went to have it redone and the counter guy brought it back out and said “I added cheese and tons of bacon for you!” Being from the food service industry, you don’t do that! They put cold cheese on it and DID NOT remake it, didn’t use gloves, and seemed like he thought he did a good deed 😤 Highly disappointed!!!
Won't be ordering from them again until they decide to open the lobby. Drive through only. I guess the new manager wants it be closed for good. Could have told us that when ordered.

We waited over 45 minutes for 2 burgers and some fries. That's just ridiculous!!!!!
They had 3 people working. 1 car at the window and nobody inside. I waited and waited. After the car left the last at the window looked at me and walked away. So I said screw this and left. I went to another one in Breckenridge and I was in and out in about 3 minutes and they were nice. So I won't be going to the Albany DQ again.
Will never eat here again. Spent almost 15 bucks on steak finger basket and the gravy was thin as water ruined the whole meal. Never again
Inaccurate times, closing before actual closing time, understaffed, long wait times, inaccurate orders. You know the type
This location is disgusting! There are dead roaches and crickets all over the floor. Bathrooms are horrendous and there was a bucket with dirty water and a rag sitting next to the cash register where people order. Awful!
Wish there was a way to do negative stars. They continue to mess up orders. When I finally call to let them know, the manager by the name of Cricket said I could come in and get a new one for free. Called ahead of time to make sure cause it wasn't the day of and finally made it up there and she told an employee to make me a new one. The employee then went and told someone else in charge who told me I wasn't allowed to get a new one cause it wasn't on the day they messed up. I already told Cricket that I live to far to just go up there for a burger so she said it was fine. They need new training on what to do in this type of situation. I paid a rediculous price for a burger I wasn't even able to eat or I would have gotten seriously sick. I will be calling corprate.
I would give 0 stars if that was an option! Witnessed 2 refunds before requesting mine. each refund the staff would plead and beg "pls 3 more minutes and well have it out" 50 minute wait for food! another 20 minutes for the entire staff (4 wearing upper mngmnt shirts) to process a refund! After hearing the way the lady in the GREEN SHIRT talked to her staff, i feel bad for the kids!! The one helpful worker was told if he did anything wrong, it was on him?! (compensating wage perhaps????) Everyone running around like chickens with their head cut off! Couldn't believe how RUDE and INCOMPETENT the management was! I'll dispute this w my bank, as they couldn't care less about my refund!
I order a plain hamburger bread & meat only. Tue 4-2 I didn't check it mustard was on it. Wed 4-3 I order a plain hamburger again this time I checked it was loaded with mustard. I went in and told ask for a plain hamburger. The cook was rude telling me if I wanted a plain hamburger I needed to tell them dry. I told him I apologize I didn't realize meat & bread only wasn't plain. He was very rude.
This is the worst DQ I’ve ever been in. For starters…the bathroom was dirty. They didn’t have any towels, soap and the floor was sticky. The food took 30 mins and my kids meal had the food thrown in there. Seriously..::the burger was scattered all over the bag.and the fries were soggy from grease. They were out of ketchup and straws. I asked for a refund and she couldn’t figure out how to complete the transaction. Again….worst DQ ever. Do yourself a favor and just keep driving through town.
My son lives in albany ,iv tried 4 times to order inside and drivethrough over years. It seems their never willing to serve or work i walked out last year from inside, no customers but no one came to counter to take order .so i left . Went to see my grandaughter yesterday and left to get late lunch went to drivethrough sat at intercome no one answered. 2 adults talking at drive window to worker ,the saw me but no one moved or answered to order still,so i back out and left . Ill never return again but who cares right. Not them . Albany texas please close this dairy queen and bring in new resturants this one is not serving your community or any outside communities. .but theyve been doing this for years so it seems no one cares . So ill pray the owner cares someday.
This place needs an update. In both ambiance, amenities and service. I get it, it’s a small town, not much going on and not a lot of money around. But, a little customer service goes along way if the store is lacking in other areas. The new girl seemed to be a bit more welcoming, despite the nervousness. Best of luck to her.
Been there a couple of times and finally decided to never go again. Food tastes bad, customer service sucks and the establishment in general looks old and dirty.
went in to make a take out order...waited for the person in front of me to finish...it was my turn and the cashier walked away and no one else acknowledged me - but as soon as the phone rang, they answered! guess you have to be white or call to make an order - never going there again and have suggested to everyone I know not to go there - very poorly run - the only person who looked over 18 years was the cook....and she looked disheveled
Showed up at 8:20 and it was closed. Sign and website says closes at 9:00.
Sat at the drive thru for 15 minutes and they wouldn’t even take my order.
