It was my grandmother's 69th birthday and we came here. my grandmother was excited and she got her usual. The waiter that served us was wonderful (her name was Cheyenne) and had gotten the red lobster team to do a birthday card and the usual birthday chant. And was all around a really good time!

Absolutely best food and service you could ask for!! Top notch. Flounder was the best I've ever had! We sat at the bar and the waiter was so attentive and had the best recommendations for foods and drinks. I forgot to ask his name but he had longer hair and he said he'd been working at Red Lobster for more than 5 years. I wish every waiter and waitress was this great!

Great seafood. There can be a huge line depending when you arrive. We called ahead and put our name down with total guests and arrival time. When we got there fables were available and we were seated right away. Waitress arrived shortly after to take our order for food and drinks. Biscuits were late but hot out of the oven so well worth the wait. Main course was delicious. Only hiccup is we asked for extra butter but the waitress was so busy she didn’t bring it until after we finished eating and sincerely apologized. She made it up by sending us home with some extra biscuits. Would definitely return again.

We haven’t been in a Red Lobster in a very long time. But we tried it yesterday and the clam chowder and the biscuits are is still as delicious as ever. But a huge shoutout to Chayenne our waitress. She’s a doll. All restaurants should strive to have people like her for their businesses.

I wanna say been a while since I went to Red Lobster and boy was it fantastic, drinks were perfect best of all. My wife and I waitress Julie was absolutely amazing 10/10 service. Took her time to explain the specials and the days catch. She recommended some fantastic drinks and desserts. Give that girl a promotion!!!! She made all the best recommendations and absolutely delivered on her service.
When we first walked into the restaurant we were greeted with a very friendly smile from Chayenne! She was our waitress also and couldn’t have been more professional and patient while we ordered! Excellent experience! Chayenne deserves recognition! Excellent job

I haven’t been to Red Lobster in years The local one is quite old competing with many other restaurants in the area. It seemed they should have gone out of business by now. My husband and I decided to go there for lunch while out Christmas shopping. How bad could it be, right? We were so pleasantly surprised that the food was excellent and our server “Shirley” was absolutely wonderful! Honestly, I can’t remember when I have enjoyed a meal so much. It’s disappointing how few people were dining there during what should have been the lunch rush. Red lobster should consider sprucing the old place up and advertising more locally in order to keep the Albany location opened.

Went to Red Lobster on my birthday & had Natalia as our waitress/server. She was sweet, attentive, and funny-she brought over a live lobster for my son to pet which made his whole night. It's good !We got what was expected. The food was delicious and plentifull. Everything was freshly made from quality ingredients. It's not the cheapest place so when we were celebrating a special occasion we choose Red Lobster with no regrets.
My wife and I had our first date here 10 years ago. Every year, we decide to make red lobster our go to anniversary date spot. We haven’t missed a single year and do not plan to anytime soon. The whole staff makes the experience extremely special. This was the first place we held hands. I’ll never forget the impact you will have in my life. Please thank your whole staff. Haven't been at a Red Lobster in many years. I will surely come back to this location on Wolf Road, Albany just because of the outstanding service by the best waitress Shirley. I expressed to her that I had a gluten allergy and not only did she make note of it in the ticket, but personally made sure the chefs in the kitchen were aware exactly what needed to be done. She took the time to go over all my concerns when I ordered. Never had to wait for drink refills or anything. She was very professional and pleasant. Red Lobster is blessed to have an incredible waitress like Shirley. I have to also say that the food I ordered was perfect. Delicious and safe for me to eat because of the extra step Shirley took to make sure I can enjoy my food and be safe to eat it. Hats off to a great person.
Always good food, everyone loves the biscuits, Julia (waiter) was very nice. The steak was overcooked, but the manager did give us a discount because of it. The mango lemonade was refreshing, the burger was solid, the clam chowder is delicious. Overall, great place for dinner, seafood or othetwise.
It’ a decent location compared to other establishments of Red Lobsters, I’ve been. The environment is quiet, and the staff are very attentive. I primarily use Instacart for my shopping and I get rewarded and promotions. When I earn enough, I use them here. That’s why I order here. I think the food is good and the portions are always enough for me to have leftovers. So long as those promotions keep generating, I’ll keep trying out the menu.
Chayenne was fantastic. She was super friendly, and thoughtful, kind and very patient with us and our brother. It was his birthday. The food was very good. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Makaila is truly one of the best servers at Red Lobster. I always look forward to coming in because her service is consistently excellent. She is friendly, attentive, and makes every visit a great experience. My fiancé and I both love being served by her, and she always goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!
My best friend had brought me to Red Lobster To celebrate my birthday!! Our waitress, Shirley, Was very attentive and friendly and seated us immediately and brought out the cheddar biscuits right away! Once we placed our orders, the food came out was beautifully arranged, hot and very delicious! When we asked for the bill, she said she had something special for me and she brought out a complimentary birthday brownie sundae with a candle and on the plate in Carmel had written “Happy Shell-a-bration!” Shirley was very helpful and attentive in getting my 10% discount, which was not showing up in my rewards. Thank you Shirley! Red Lobster is our favorite birthday restaurant!!
My parents are older, my Dad has MS so they don’t get out often. I came into town to visit them and what they wanted to do most was go out to eat at the Red Lobster. It was such a great time that it lived up to all expectations. The staff and atmosphere had a lot to do with it. A sincere Thank You!
Our server, Cheyenne was the absolute best. She is an exemplary representative of red lobster. She is professional, friendly, and patient. I can’t say enough good things about her. Actually really so good. Excellent service from our waitress, she was really sweet. My dad wasn’t crazy about the seasoning on the fries and she made it perfectly right. The salmon bowl was good. Obviously it’s a chain restaurant and the building hasn’t been updated in decades, but we had a surprisingly pleasant experience.
August 2025: Returned to Red Lobster for lobster again and it was even better than last time! The lobster, crab, and shrimp were all cooked perfectly—so soft, tender, and flavorful. Our server Jennifer was such a delight. She mentioned she recently started, but you would never know it from how attentive and helpful she was throughout the meal. We had a small issue with the side of broccoli, and she immediately took care of it with a smile. Her manager Duane also came by, and he was so gracious—it really made us feel taken care of. To finish, we tried the chocolate cake, and wow—SOO sweet and rich, absolutely delicious! A perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. Thank you, Jennifer and Duane, for making our night so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again!! ~Previously ~ Thanksgiving dinner isn’t necessarily turkey. In fact, my daughter LOVES — SEAFOOD! So Red Lobster⚠️ HERE WE COME!! It feels pricey but the food and charms are certainly worth it. We try to combine the best we appreciate but it can get tricky. At the end, the combos ARE the best deals. 😬 We let the waitress know we didn’t need everything at the same time, and this helped us manage the food —The first dish came earlier. Still, at the end, after the 2nd dish and dessert, my daughter ate so much to give her an aweful tummy-ache!! I felt so bad… 😭 I couldn’t believe how available they were. Although I’d made a reservation, especially being right before thanksgiving, it was really unnecessary.. Albeit it was very early at 4PM.. Even when we were leaving around 6, you could have walked in without any wait. Bottom line, a bit pricey but great experience if you want LOBSTER!! 💪💪
Went to Red Lobster in Colonie for a late lunch and WOW! What a great experience! Service was great, atmosphere was pleasant and very clean and the food was delicious! Had the lunch shrimp scampi which was super fresh and very flavorful. Shrimp were cooked perfectly and the scampi sauce was fresh and light! And who can resist the amazing cheddar biscuits!!😍 The meals were reasonably priced for how big the portions were! Looking forward to going back! Don’t hesitate! Give them a try!

Red Lobster has been around forever. I have visit throughout the years. I have gone to this particular location several times since 2019. To say the least between 2019- 2024 ts was inconsistent at best and the food was not good. I only went once to twice a year because of this. This location has been a massive change in a positive way. I have recently visited the location in person and had delivery. The in person service was exceptional. The atmosphere was welcoming and the noise was low to moderate as I was in during early happy hour. The delivery was good but they forgot my smoothie and it seems impossible to refund even though it was ordered through their website directly. The food for my in person visit and delivery was delicious. I went during lobsterfest and enjoyed their shrimp and lobster linguine, the new lobster pasta, and lobster mashed/baked potatoes. The seafood mushrooms and caesar salad are mouth-watering. The costal colada drink is phenomenal. The Mariners seafood boil with old bay butter was good but I would not order it again. I may have received the incorrect butter because it tasted lemony and it was not good to me. I would try another boil in the future and triple check the butter is what I ordered. The interior is classic old school Red Lobster. Highly recommend the new and improved Red Lobster.

Came here the other night with my son and godmother. Was not too busy, but for some reason, the service was very slow. We still ate and enjoyed our food. Our waitress was very nice with a great personality. I’m assuming maybe they were understaffed? Well, the food was good. And we had a great time so that’s all that matters.

The staff are wonderful at this Red Lobster, have had many pleasant encounters. The food is typically decent, though the salad has a chance to be less fresh than id like.
Red Lobster definitely stepped up their food, I had zero complaints this visit (my past experiences weren't so great). I ordered the ultimate feast, my Lobster was cooked beautifully, the snow crab legs were tasty (still annoying to eat though lol), the fried shrimp was nice and crispy, the grilled shrimp was nicely seasoned, the hush puppies and biscuits are always delicious, the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. If they keep this up, I will definitely be back. I hope they have plans in the future to upgrade the interior, it's so gloomy inside and very outdated. The service was good and even the manager came to our table to make sure we were alright. Overall, I was very pleased with this experience, I hope they remain consistent.
I really loved the service at our table. I wish I remembered the servers name. If I get it later I’m going to re-edit this and put it in. Anyway she was great at her job. She had to take over for a new girl because the questions we asked she couldn’t answer. Anyway she did a great job. That being said, when we first came in there was a couple waiting before us but they went to the side to wait for others I would assume. The hostess came out (wish I had her name too) and asked what to do and a woman at the counter said seat these people (wish I had her name also) but she didn’t point at who she was referring to. So the hostess asked which couple she was referring to and the lady at the counter snapped at her like she was stupid and said “them.” I wanted to flip. That hostess took her nasty attitude so kindly and just seated us but she did not deserve that treatment. I’m sorry I had to see that. The food was delicious though I must say. Getting the lobster next time though.
Coconut shrimp was a little overcooked. Ruwan did a great job. She smiled when she greeted us. She explained the specials and happy hour. She checked on us and made sure our drinks were good. She asked if we wanted a 2nd spoon to share our bowl of chowder appetizer. Please tell her thanks!!!! (And 100% A+)
Valentine's Day dinner. Made reservation but still waited almost 40 minutes. Service was ok but it was really busy. Good was delicious. Drinks good if been better (stronger)
After a long pause in visiting, we decided to give Red Lobster another shot. The food has definitely returned to how I remember it from my youth (yummy) and the service was outstanding (thanks, Shirley!) And who can say no to the Cheddar bay biscuits? Not us, that's for sure! We took advantage of Crab Fest and we were not disappointed. The only slight knock would be the shrimp scampi...slightly overcooked shrimps and the salt was a tad higher than I prefer. If, like us, you haven't been in a while, it's worth trying again!

Went at 7pm on a Friday night and it was dead, manager was already telling staff to finish up their shift and go home. I haven't been here in years and it has definitely changed. It was a very quiet atmosphere.
Service was great, waitress was wonderful. My salmon was good and one of the best brussel sprouts I've had but my friend got two twin lobsters and she wasn't happy with them, I guess a little rubbery. Mine was $23 & her meal was around $50
My food was cooked very well, though the portioning and quality of my partners food was less on point. Our server was fantastic , she was on top of things and overall we were happy with her. The atmosphere could really use an update/upgrade as it has a very low budget corporation kinda feel to it The bathroom when we got there was atrocious, though by the time we left (After or near closing time.) It had been cleaned. Soap dispenser and sink on the left don't work though. Edit: paid another visit and had a solid experience. Server was nice, food was prepared well. Definitely an overall improvement

Decided to try out red lobster since it’s become such a hot topic. I got their boil and sadly it was the most disappointing thing I’ve ever tasted, the corn was cold, one cluster of crab and a split lobster tail, the garlic butter was nothing but minced garlic spread everywhere. The only redeeming part of this whole experience was the margarita flight annd the biscuits. Until they fully revamp red lobster menu and restaurant aesthetic I sadly will not spend money here anymore.
Food was overpriced and nothing to rave about. Service was very slow. Restaurant wasn't busy so for the time it took to get the food was very unacceptable.
Our first time ever attending a Red Lobster, with mixed feelings. Service by far was top notch. Our waitress Chayenne J. was attentive and polite. We began with an appetizer, which unfortunately the new crab fries were unavailable, so we settled on Mozzarella Sticks, which were good. Also hot and fresh were the biscuits. Moving onto the entrees is where trouble began. One order was for Rainbow Trout, which seemed a bit on the thin side and possibly overcooked a tad. The other order however for salmon we found to be very undercooked. Both dishes had a side of broccoli which was cooked, but on the crunchy side. The waitress was informed on the salmon and acted quickly to have removed from the bill. Overall, service was great, but food could use some elevating and better critiquing before going out to customers.
Overall nothing went terribly wrong but nothing stood out either. Our server didn't seem to have the personality for his profession, he seemed disengaged, perhaps an off night but I doubt it. He took our order, checked back before we took a bite and then we never saw him again until we were ready for the check. I would've loved more water while enjoying dinner but it was hard to come by; he was prompt when we first sat down but after that not so much. The decor hasn't seemed to have been updated in years, maybe decades...menu was lackluster in my opinion. Typical chain restaurant.
Not one, but 2 steamed lobsters were half inedible, as they were not fully cooked and too raw to eat. Additionally, the lobster quality itself was disgusting, with waste/liver/eggs like I’ve never seen in a tail. We all decided our lobster money will be spent at higher quality establishments. For reference, I eat fresh lobster atleast once a month, and have traveled extensively along the east coast eating lobster. It felt as if this restaurant had just discovered the creature and had no idea how to prepare it.
New Update 12/23/25: We went back one last time, and were not impressed. While the waitress was very professional, and anticipated our needs (more beverages, more condiments, etc), the food was less than stellar (as it has been as of late). The cheddar biscuits were underdone and hardly had any of the buttery seasoning on them (I sure couldn't taste it). I am glad I didn't ask for some biscuits to go. She seemed to enjoy her lobster and steak, but my fish was (yet again) something left to be desired. Oily & over cooked. Well, at least my mind is made up now - no more trips to Red Lobster in the foreseeable future, or in the future, at all...😢🥺 __________________________________________________________ UPDATE 06/20/25: We went back to have yet another wonderful time and unfortunately we were disappointed! We were shown to our table, and waited for about FIFTEEN minutes for someone to come over for our drink order. When no one came over, I spotted the "general manager", and asked if we could be waited on as we had been waiting for around 15 minutes now (I stated it in a firm and normal voice. The "general manager" got snarky and said someone would be with us in a moment and told me not to yell. Not to yell?? What was he on? I believe he DEFINITELY needs a refresher course in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Anyway, by that time a server finally came over (SHE apologized) and took our drink and food order as well. We were served quickly (nice hot out of the oven cheddar biscuits too 🥰🤤) and had a wonderful dinner for the most part. I had ordered the fish & chips (substituting mashed for fries). When I received my food, the fish portions looked no bigger than store bought fish sticks. Who are they kidding? I believe it will be quite some time if we ever visit Red Lobster again. Shame 😞 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had the most wonderful time there. Food was delicious and hot. Waiter was attentive, smiled, and said "Thank you and have a good night" when we were leaving.

Saturday night visit ordered a boiled dinner was very disappointed when receives a dinner and the potatoes were raw. The managers answer to that was well they’re big so I guess they didn’t cook all the way through. Absolutely ridiculous comment the other order was swimming in I guess butter and grease the lack of the management having any concern is just unacceptable I expressed my concern was not looking for anything in return but I’m very sorry but didn’t get that just a ridiculous answer about potatoes being too big. I really feel like the management needs some Customer Service training.
My wife and I visited this location for the first time and were not impressed. For starters the booth we sat at, the table was loose and looked like it was coming off the wall. Let me start off by saying the restaurant was not busy at all. Our crab legs were very tiny and when they came out they were barely warm. Our server didn’t bring out butter or the things to crack open the crabs at first and took over 20 minutes to bring them out meaning we couldn’t eat the crab and it got cold. We asked several times for more biscuits and didn’t get any until before we left. And she then tried charging us 10$ for more biscuits but ended up bringing some out after I brought up the fact she never refilled ours. We asked for a refill on cocktail sauce for our fried shrimp and we asked twice and we never received it. My wife got the roasted Brussel sprouts and they came out completely burnt. (Can provide a picture if needed). Brought this to the servers attention and she did remove it from our tab. We hardly saw our server this evening and when we asked for to go containers and the check it took another 25 minutes to get the check and containers. When I went to wash my hands off in the bathroom the soap dispensers were broken so they had a bottle of hand soap on The counter that was empty. While In there I saw an employee using the urinal and then just rise his hands off (couldn’t use the soap if he wanted to) and then walk out and go back into the kitchen. All in all we were really disappointed as we wanted to like it here but our experience was lack luster. I’m hoping this was just an isolated incident but still ruined me and my wife’s date night.
