Opinions de Bronx Brewery Albee Square
We had a great experience. We asked for two sample flights, but didn't know which beers to include in the samples, and the attendant actually provided a selection of the best and most interesting beers. They were excellent. The ambiance was nice and calm with good music as well. Would definitely look forward to visiting again.
Bronx Brewery at Hudson Yards offers a fantastic ambiance perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Shaun and John really enjoyed their time here, appreciating the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to kick back with friends or just enjoy a quiet moment, this spot is ideal for a chill hangout. The combination of great beer and a welcoming environment makes it a must-visit.
Very Lucky to have stumbled on this place. Tasty beers, great snacks, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff. Will definitely come by here again next time I'm in NY.
Bronx Brewery is a must-visit! The Smile My Guy IPA was fantastic – perfectly balanced with bold, refreshing flavors. The Hay Lechon Nachos were delicious, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with the beer. Great vibe and friendly staff, Kristina was great. Highly recommend!
Located within the mall, it's pretty convenient spot to chill and relax with good list of beers. I liked it cause, at least for those when I visited, it wasn't overly crowded or noisy. It is also quite convenient to make orders cause you can all do it on your phone with QR code scanning.
Great vibe ! Santiago was very nice and helpful with the selections. Sean was also a great welcoming vibe and they all made sure we were good the whole time we were here. The IPAs were refreshing and delicious to say the least. Will definitely be back here asap
Headed over to the Yard to check out the building while family took a Hudson River boat cruise on a cold windy Jan night. Bumped into happy hour and that drew me in. Love the ambience, service and beer selection. Highly recommend, if you just want a beer or want a chill place to sit (while others shop or do touristy things)
I'm so glad that Bronx Brewery has expanded into Hudson Yards! Their food is always so good and the wait staff led by their fearless manager is top tier!! I went in there with a group of 25 people and they hosted us without a hitch! Delicious food, impeccable service, and altogether awesome vibes. Shane, Lucky, Ber, Gene, & Luis, if you're reading this, you are living legends to me and my crew!! Thank you guys so much! We will be back...
The best place to go, if you find your self in the Hudson yards. Kristina and Luke held it down and gave us phenomenal service. The nachos and rose IPA were delicious. Good spot for a Sunday football game.
Menu looks good but i wasn't super hungry so i ordered the rice and beans which were quite good and had some veggies and cheese in it. The sour i tried was pretty good. Christina seemed very knowledgeable andnsantiago and shawn did very well with customer service and all were very personable.
Such a nice atmosphere with great drinks especially the cosmic haze! Carlos, Jon, and Santiago were so funny and really made our time there so much more enjoyable. Enjoyed every second!
One of the most friendly places I’ve been. I got the “side hustle” a hard cider that hits just right! Not too sweet or hard. Very good! Ask for Jon & Luke and they will take care of you! They’re awesome!
This is the third Bronx Brewery location I have visited and the Hudson Yards location does not disappoint. Great music and vibe. Beer selection and food are also great. It’s clean and the staff are super friendly, specifically Jon and Santi. I will definitely visit this location again!
I recently moved to the Hudson yards area. In my quest to find good beer I came across the Bronx Brewery. Beer was awesome! The Hay Lechon bowl was AMAZING! And John was even more amazing. His customer service will have me coming back every time I want good beer and good food and great service!
We found this place and decided to go in for a couple of beers on a rainy NYC summer evening. The brewery is located in Hudson Yards, a rather upscale shopping mall. However, in spite of this, they do strive to have authentic brewery vibes. There is some seating inside the actual brewery space, and additional Biergarten style picnic tables and benches just outside in the mall lobby. We opted to sit at the picnic tables. We had two beers each. In total we had the summer ale, the hi my guy, the Pilsner, and the lager. All were very good. There was one young man working and the place got really busy. He was definitely on top of things, working the bar, serving and bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness the taproom. He was working hard, but remained pleasant, fun, and helpful. All in all, a great experience. Definitely recommend for good beer and vibes - especially if you need a break from NYC rain.
Came with a large group for playoff Football and was not disappointed. Loved having the sound on for the game, service was very quick and efficient, nachos were excellent!! Kristina took excellent care of us the whole day even with a full house we received excellent and efficient service. Thank you so much!
The food and of course the beer is amazing!! The nachos were perfectly portioned for two hungry people and the taste was exactly what I wanted. The beer is easily the best part of this place. Nice cold beer from the tap to help you cool down from a stroll on the High Line. While you order through a QR code instead of traditionally, which can be a turn-off for some, the website they use worked really well and it allows you to keep an open tab. Only issue I had was that the seats were really uncomfortable. Still giving it 5 stars though I'd always come back for more of that beer. Go check out their happy hour too!
Had an awesome time at Bronx Brewery! The vibe is great, and the beer? Seriously good. They’ve got something for everyone, and everything I tried was fresh and full of flavor. But the real MVP was Carlos, the bartender. This guy knows his stuff. He took the time to ask what I liked and made spot-on recommendations. Super chill, friendly, and you can tell he’s passionate about what he does. It felt like he genuinely cared about making sure I had a good time. If you’re heading to Bronx Brewery, definitely grab a seat at the bar and let Carlos take care of you. You won’t regret it!
Had an amazing experience at this brewery! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink. The selection of brews is top-notch, and the drinks themselves are expertly crafted. Huge shoutout to John and Santiago for their exceptional service—they truly know how to make you feel at home and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Can't wait to return for another round! Highly recommend checking it out.
Very Nice place! And food on time!! I LIKE
The Cosmic Haze IPA at Bronx Brewery is a fantastic New England Hazy IPA. The flavors are bright with juicy citrus and hints of pineapple and mango. It’s smooth and easy to drink, with a nice crisp finish. The brisket nachos are fantastic. Well seasoned and well topped with plenty of chips to ensure every bite is a winner. Kristina and Jon were the best! Super attentive and took great care of us while we were in the brewery.
The Bronx Brewery is such a fantastic spot! The atmosphere is vibrant, the drinks are top-notch, and the overall vibe is perfect for a great time. John made our experience even better—he was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Whether you’re looking to relax with friends or celebrate something special, this place has it all. Highly recommend!
For food I had the beef burrito and the Cuban empanadas and was very satisfied with both! Plus my lager was as good as a classic lager you can think about. Shoutout to John and Santiago, they were an amazing help.
Honestly I loved every aspect of this place. Their sour beer and pumpkin ale are both 5/5 great. Their service was quick and kind. The atmosphere was fantastic. The music was interesting and drowned out others conversations without overpowering our own. I don't know how they did that, it basically felt like magic, but I would like all places to be like that! Plus the decor was fun and interesting! I will absolutely be back!
Great food and exceptionally fast & pleasant service. I had a good time checking this place out on my trip to NYC- no regrets! I tried the “power up” IPA and it was awesome! Thank you guys. The food is great as well. The place is also tastefully decorated.
My friend and I had the most awesome time here yesterday afternoon! The highlight beyond the tasty beers was Lucky the bartender ! What a nice guy and really knowledgeable about the beer there! I’ll be working in this neighborhood soon and I’m looking forward to spending more time there after work.
We were here in Hudson yards going around cherishing the Christmas lights , suddenly wanted a quick break so got time to try this brewery , brewery in mall sounded interesting so we gave it a try their beers were really good . Good collection , service was quick and responsive . Lively atmosphere around .we were here on a Tuesday evening so the trivia game going around made the atmosphere more lively, good one .
Nice selection of beer at reasonable NYC price. Food is surprisingly good. Service is a bit slow as place is a bit busy. Overall great place to hang.
We had a reservation for the edge so I was looking for something close. This is definitely a high end mall with all of your typical 5th Avenue store that you like. This restaurant is Mexican and has a generous selection of tap beers. The staff was very friendly and the food was tasty as were the beverages. The restaurant has sort of a grunge feel and was definitely worth the visit before a little shopping. Pro tip: if you make a reservation they will have you have a table set aside for you and they also support the Military and Veterans - bravo and we appreciate it! Recomeded!
I enjoyed coming here to grab a bite after walking around Hudson yards. I really like the whole concept of ordering from your phone from the QR code on the table. That made it really easy. The nachos and cheese sauce was delish. I got a shrimp bowl which was fine and the beef burrito and nachos were yummy. I liked the pickled veggies. The food came out very quick.
Luke was awesome! I came for a work event and he was very helpful in selecting a non beer option for me (I got the rose). He was very attentive and we’d definitely come back again! Thank you!
Fun place adjacent to The Vessel, tons of high end shopping and dining. It’s small with a nice selection of various beers. They did have two hard ciders that were amazing! Not a lot of seating and what they do have is communal with small, hard metal barstools. Give that some thought if you plan on spending a lot of time. Staff was helpful and efficient. Nice selection of branded swag items.
This spot has been my go-to hideout in the mall for as long as I can remember. It’s the perfect break from a regular day of shopping, and honestly, it’s one of the best additions to the city scene. The beer selection is top-notch, the food never disappoints, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of laid-back and lively. Special shoutout to John and Carlos—two rockstars who embody what hospitality should be. Their hard work, attention to detail, and genuine care for every guest don’t go unnoticed. They deserve all the recognition (and maybe a raise)! The combination of great service, great people, and great vibes is why I keep coming back. Every visit feels like a little escape, and I always leave in a better mood. Keep up the excellent work—this place is something special!
We are staying in Hells Kitchen and popped into Hudson yards for a quick shop and came across the brewery - what a gem! Beautiful burritos full of healthy food and flavour and the Mexican beans made my tongue, heart and stomach sing especially after some difficult incidents with over salted foods from other places on our NYC visit. The beers were great and refreshingly well rounded - I had the high line lager and my husband had the new Brawler - a dark, easy on palate brew - we loved the food and beer so much we took home the empanadas and a 4pack of brawler to our hotel for a late dinner treat - great local customer service too and a sweet interior brings the experience together - the best in shopping eating experience I have had in a long time 🙌
Popped in here while visiting the Hudson Yards and heading to the Edge. Just wanted a cold one. Staff was super friendly explaining the choices, providing a taste and serving me up a nice stout. I was there another day and popped back in for another great experience and an unfiltered wheat. We just had drinks, no food, so no comments there. Thanks again to an engaged and friendly staff.
The food and beer are good, albeit overpriced. Portions are smaller than the pictures would lead you to believe. The forced 20% tip felt a little excessive, considering everything is ordered by phone. The default additional 20% tip (on top of the unremovable 20% gratuity) that you have to manually remove when closing out your tab felt completely unnecessary and a little rude, tbh. A 40% tip should not be the default (hell, even a 20% shouldn't, given the minimal service). Pay attention when closing your tab.
Got the pork bowl and esquites. Pork bowl was a good portion and was warm. Pork was tender and well seasoned. Ordering was a bit tricky because you have to use QR codes and reception in the mall is trash. Once I got on the Hudson Yard wifi it was fine. The Hudson Yard wifi will ask for your email so use 10minutemail and a VPN to avoid getting spammed.
Bronx Brewery nails the vibe—great location, cool rock music, and a graffiti mural that sets the tone for a laid-back, urban hangout. Prices are super reasonable, and their happy hour (yes, even Fridays!) is a standout deal. The rice and beans appetizer was unexpectedly fantastic—comfort food with a twist. Beer selection leans heavily toward IPAs and lagers, so not the most diverse lineup, but what they do offer is solid. Worth a visit for the ambiance alone, and the deals make it even better.
Yummy beers (had limited availability when arrived, but enough) and no brewpubs nearby. Great spot to wait for the Edge. Food was good (expensive, but was isn’t). Atmosphere was edgy (get it?) and service was friendly (although 20% default tip at the table automated system so just go to the front!). NOTE: They give a free beer for reviews (and one feels obligated to review well, and Jon even requested being mentioned in the review, so take reviews with a grain of salt but maybe enjoy the free beer!).
All I have to say if you are in Hudson yards between the hours of 5–7 p.m.make sure to have your happy hour here ! They’ve got half off appetizers & $5 pour drafts but the selection is only two drafts it needs to be 3-4 Service was excellent staff was friendly & the appetizers were delicious. Pretzel sticks were piping hot & chicken quesadillas were delicious They even comped me a Mexican Coke because they didn’t have two of the drinks my girlfriend you CAN NOT run out of RED BULL BEER & Side Hustle Hard Seltzer Get the beer sampler (NOT A PART OF HAPPY HOUR) Try to OG chopped cheese empanadas (NOT A PART OF HAPPY HOUR)
This is one of the more casual places to eat at The Shops at Hudson Yards (New York City). Menu is pretty simple. They don't have burgers, which I feel is a miss since the Bronx Brewery location at the Lower East Side has them (and they were pretty good). It's a minimal service kind of place. You seat yourself and use the bar code to place your order. You get your own water at the counter. However if you do have have questions, the servers that are walking around are very nice and helpful. We had the "Whats Beef Nachos" (beef short rib) and the "Shrimpin' Ain't Easy Nachos". And they were both so good and flavorful. The beer cheese queso is soooo good. Great for large groups since you can keep your tabs separate. Chill ambiance too.
It was alright because at first, the waitress was in bad mood when I’m trying to ask but we are deaf. They continue to talk and we couldn’t understand but we got it now by ordering food. Secondly, there was no straw when we asked because we don’t drink the glass bottle or cup from Bacteria. Thirdly, I almost fell by bench chair or chair. It’s not safe. Fourth, the food was basic but okay. Thank you!
Bronx Brewery at Hudson Yards has solid vibes and feels very much like a proper brewery despite being tucked inside a busy, chaotic mall. You seat yourself, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it’s an easy place to hang out and grab a beer while exploring the area. There’s really nothing wrong with the place—no major complaints at all—but nothing that truly stands out either. The beer and experience were fine, just not memorable. Overall, it’s a decent stop if you’re already in Hudson Yards, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit.
Came in for the tacos -these are minute. Had the beef taco excellent flavor but after one bite it was gone. Chicken was dry and would not order again. Automatically added a 20% gratuity and they brought the beer and food. I would not return here - as not a good value. Hate leaving a restaurant hungry.
First, I was there the evening on 11/6. The server was incredibly rude. He was annoyed that I asked for plates to share our appetizers. I ended up leaving early and going to the higher end Queenyard restaurant the mall has upstairs. You guys lost a customer after 1 visit. The nacho cheese was grainy. Beer was good.
I was in Hudson Yards with my family recently and we decided to stop in for something quick to eat before we moved on. As we sat down, our server advised us that the kitchen was closing in 7 minutes (this was at a bit before 8pm) so we ordered a few simple things like quesadillas and pretzels. The quesadas arrived first, and frankly were quite bland. They were underdone and the cheese was nondescript at best, kind of resembling Velveeta. The pretzels were fine and my son's burrito was also very good so that's a plus. Unfortunately, there was a delay receiving those last two items because they were not brought to our table. I went over and found them under the heat lamp at the counter, at which point the employee behind the counter said I could take them. After we finished our meal, I then discovered when attempting to pay the tab through the Toast website that a mandatory 20% gratuity was added to the bill. I was not able to adjust this, and found that to be quite irritating. While our server was quite pleasant when we spoke to him, when I say we saw him for a total of less than 30 seconds during our entire stay at the restaurant that is probably being generous. Under those conditions, I did not feel that a 20% gratuity on a $70 dinner was warranted. Sadly however, there was no method by which I could modify the tip amount so I was forced to pay it. Be aware of this when you dine here, as the checkout process makes it appear that you were selecting a tip percentage to add to the bill, but what you are selecting is actually additional gratuity over and above mandatory gratuity that has already been placed on your bill. Look at the line items on your bill carefully before checking out.
Is this the infamous Bronx Brewery? I ordered chicken nachos and mexican rice…the crispy tortilla chips and cheese sauce were a great combo. On the other hand, the shredded chicken was an absolute no, it was DRY and obvious that it wasn’t freshly made. Definitely not worth $18. Furthermore this dish is too loaded to be served on a small plate. Every time you reach for a chip, bits and pieces fall on the table, on you, everywhere really.
I would say it is fine but the ordering process is not smooth and sometimes they do not receive the notices about the food? Or maybe they forgot about it?
For the price and what you get I would say look elsewhere. FYI it's pretty much a self-service joint with counter ordering option. They push you to Order via QR code online and then you pick up your own food. They did bring out a couple things but wasn't service friendly. Ok but as previously noted in other reviews they automatically put a 20% tip on the bill plus try to add another 20% at checkout. 🤔👎🏻
Our food was pretty basic. The shrimp tacos were cold. Waiter said tacos were suppose to be served cold but seemed strange. The service was ok. Only thing that was worth it was the beer
First, the one in the Bronx is better! They didn't have much selection of beers on tap. I was extremely disappointed in that! I'm not sure if it was because it was just after 7 (kitchen closes at 745, last call 845 & it closes at 9) but only 2 workers. Every table was dirty, and just the guy pouring drinks available. The beers we did have (tattooed pumpkin) were good. Nachos were just ok. We stopped eating them because we felt like we may get stomachache. I had brought a Groupon for 2 entrees n 2 beers, was only able to get 1 entree with 2 beers cause the kitchen closed as we were submitting our ticket. I like Bronx Brewery beers but not going back to that location. They did have a few beers I wanted to try in the 4-pack cans (Nous you can't leave), which I did purchase and luv
Went in with my 8 months pregnant wife to ask for a glass of tap water and the bartender rolled his eyes before refusing and directing us to a waterfountain that's out of order. It was also almost empty, he was just chatting with a friend. Too many good options to consider a place like this!!
Roasted elite bowl was mostly cold chicken and cheese. The elite didn’t taste roasted. It actually tastes like they opened a can of del monte corn and poured into bowl. I asked for a side of lime or lemon. They had none. Nachos tasted like Tostitos. Overall food was not enjoyable and after dropping 150 bucks only to leave 3 Falmouth full meals behind- they added gratuity. Won’t return and don’t recommend.
A dive kind of bar in a very expensive mall. Stores selling Rolex watches etc. Doesn’t have its own beers ( so much for being a brewery ). Prices are high and food is by mall type food court although with dim lighting. My advice this is a solid skip .
RUDE from the beginning. As the comments say TIP SCAMMER. Expected tips for a pick up order? No. ON TOP OF A 20% gratuity?????? Yeah absolutely not. I’ll be taking my business else where. Also rudest woman working today. Will never be back.
Beware when checking out because they automatically add a 20% gratuity fee and when paying the option of adding a tip comes up. I made the mistake of adding a tip and the waiter that checked me out did not have the decency of giving me a heads up that a mandatory 20% tip was already included. My mistake in not checking the receipt before leaving but I will definitely not be going back. Also they don’t wait on the tables like any other restaurant. You have to get up and order any additional items. Terrible customer experience!!
The irony of being forcefully charged 20% tip without the option of taking it off, and when asking the waiters for a cup of water they tell you to either wait until they can bring it (they never brought it and weren’t even busy) or to go pick it up yourself. Shameful.
Food: mediocre and over priced. Your apps are expensive and under portioned, likely to offset the half price happy hour… I get that it’s in Hudson yard but $8 for a cheese quesadilla that’s more tortilla than cheese? The actual entrees are at least portioned appropriately for the price, but still pretty mid. The drinks are fine Service: good service where you order on your phone and it keeps a running tab. Pretty neat Atmosphere: not my cup of tea. I’m not gonna say much beyond that. Standard city bar kitchen The kicker: the reason why I gave it a 1 star instead of 3 is the shady business practice of doing a mandatory 20% tip that you cannot change… fine, whatever living wage and all that, I always 20% regardless but I’m starting my meal annoyed. The thing that really kills me is that the checkout screen has an additional tip selection that is opt-out and also defaults to 20%! I cannot begin the fathom how many people unintentionally gave a 40% tip on mid overpriced pap… if you care about your customers, make the additional tip selection opt-in >:(
