Caffe Napoli has delicious food and a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent; Yefrey was a great server, always attentive, and his charisma and kindness make you feel right at home. Definitely a place worth visiting.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest and most attentive staff I’ve had the pleasure of dining with. They gave us awesome recommendations (pro tip: the appetizer sampler has a bit of everything and is really filling) and food was delicious! Would definitely come again!
The service was awesome with Arie as our waitress. You would think she was the chef the way she knew all the details and how things were cooked and seasoned. She recommended this Cacciatore and it did not disappoint. The most flavorful sauce and tender chicken, OMG! We sat outside, listened to the live singer and enjoyed gelato for dessert.
Came on a Saturday night during San Gennaro. Hosts were very attentive, and got us seated rather quickly. Food was amazing. Hard to find a server for follow-up though. i.e. extra butter to table, and the check. Only one bathroom, so line was a good twenty minutes. Overall, happy we found somewhere to eat on a packed Saturday night!
I make my way to Caffe Napoli each time I'm in NYC! All entrees are authentic. Service is amazing. Sangria is house made and it's the best! Naturally delicious. We enjoyed a Caesar salad, Veal piccata, and Lasagna. Highly recommend Caffe Napoli. The owners truly care about their food and service. It's my favorite!!
Title: A Feast Fit for Saint Gennaro at Caffe Napoli! Review: As the sun set over Little Italy, I sat at Caffe Napoli during the lively Saint Gennaro festival. The air buzzed with excitement as the daily procession unfolded right before me. It was the perfect backdrop for a delightful dinner. The Minestrone Soup arrived, brimming with traditional mixed vegetables, paired wonderfully with fresh bread and exquisite olive oil. The Napoli Salad, a burst of freshness with cherry tomatoes, onions, and carrots, was a standout, especially the dressing that coated each bite. The Chicken Parmigiana is a masterpiece of breaded chicken cutlets draped in Pomodoro sauce and melted mozzarella, capturing the essence of authentic Italian cooking. The dinner was reasonably priced. The service matched the high quality of the food—efficient and friendly, enhancing the traditional Italian vibe of the venue. While the dining experience was nearly flawless, it's important to note that the only hiccup was the cluttered restroom area downstairs, which detracted slightly from the overall charm. This information will help you prepare for your visit. Nonetheless, Caffe Napoli delivered an exceptional meal that met and exceeded expectations, making it a highlight of the festival evening.
Wandered into Little Italy with no idea where we wanted to eat and I’m so so glad we decided on this spot! The cheese ravioli w// vodka sauce was amazing and my husband couldn’t stop raving about his filet topped ravioli. It was easily cut with a fork! We ended the meal with the most delicious pistachio cheesecake. The only downside is nothing at home will hold a candle to this meal!! Ask for Pepe! He was precious and has the best recommendations!
We had a really great experience here. 8pm , outside seating on Mulberry St was pretty tight, but we talked to the concierge and he got us a great table on the sidewalk. Staff was Camilo, and he was really good. Can you make a drink not on the menu? check. suggestions for dinner? really fine. We had drinks, salad, wine, dinners, dessert, couple hours at least, and everything was excellent. I had chicken Scarpariello, on the bone. Just awesome. We had linguine vongole, arugula salad, cannoli, all fresh.
We were there a little before opening and they let us take a seat outside and gave us menu’s to start perusing. It is a little pricey but I’m still dreaming of the lasagna I got. It was SO good and the cheese was perfection! Save some of the garlic/rosemary bread to dip in your red sauce if you got a pasta based meal. It was so good! Water was AMAZING but did cost $9 and it’s one bottle they bring out (fair warning). We’ll be going again when we’re back in the city.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food and the staff is incredible!!!! Last ate there March 2018 and loved the lobster ravioli and the seafood pasta. Special thanks to our amazing waiter Luis as he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us on food and wine pairing. Thanks Luis keep up the great service. This restaurant is highly recommended.
Ran into Giuseppe walking by looking for good food and I must say GREAT DECISION trying this place! Food is 50/10, amazing hospitality, drinks are great, and the vibe is definitely “ homey”. No wonder, It’s Grandmas recipes! Manager came over and was great too! Will definitely visit anytime I come back to NY! Thanks guys !
This is going to be my go-to spot for pasta in Little Italy now. I come to this area a lot and have tried many of the restaurants, and this was by far the best so far. Luis was our server and he was so kind, so helpful, so sweet, so knowledgeable about the food and wine and menu and was able to make suggestions to get us exactly what we wanted to eat and pair wines that went perfectly with our meals. The atmosphere was so wonderful- we ate outside and it wasn’t too loud or overwhelming despite being right in little Italy. We were never neglected and never hassled. We were not rushed out like how some places do. When I wanted to take our leftover bread to go, they insisted on giving us a fresh batch to take instead. My water glass never went empty & everything was brought out promptly (for example asking for extra napkins having them delivered right away). The food was just perfect, brought out fresh, and delicious. I’m so happy I tried this place. It wasn’t just good food, it was an experience that they curated with intention and expertise.
So freaking good! Meatballs are super tender. Pizza crust is light and flaky. Great people. Get here fast!
Hostes said they have the best pizza in NY, daring me to do a bad review if I didn't like it. To my taste dough was a little bit soft, other than that ingredients were good quality and with an excellent flavor. Pasta was excellent! Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. 10 stars for service.. Daniel and Eduardo did an amazing job making you feel like part of the Caffe Napoli family. Overpriced ? Mmmm... that's what you have to pay for quality ingredients and an amazing service. Worth to give it a try and can't wait to go back and try a different dish. Don't really know why it's got 4 stars in overall reviews.
If you come to NY you have to come here!!!! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is incredible and the service is wonderful!!! We come back everytime we’re in NY. And it never fails to be the best place we go! Ask for Daniel, he’s the best!!
We are from California, and each time we come to New York, we love to stop off at Cafe Napoli, multiple times during our trip. Our waiter was super amazing and made our experience there that much better. The food was amazing and will definitely be something that we will be dreaming about until our next visit back to Cafe Napoli
First time in the city, coming from Toronto. Definitely a nicer restaurant in little italy but it's fantastic. The staff is very polite, personable and attentive. The food was great. The gnocci was soft and fluffy and had a nice tomato sauce. The penne alla vodka was good. I got the veal milanese with the salad. Amazing. Thin, well done, paired perfectly with the salad. Would definitely recommend. The desserts looked great too!
We went with a sizable party without a reservation on a Saturday night. They were incredibly flexible and understanding and we were seated right away. Food was delicious and service was attentive. Our server Iman went above and beyond to accommodate us. This neighborhood gem is definitely worth checking out!
My family and I have visited new york 3x. Our last visit our son recommended this establishment, and boy was he correct. My kids love the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, myself I love the chicken parm and my wife's always likes to mix it up. We've talked that from now on, when we visit NY this will be our stop. You will also enjoy the outdoor dining. I highly recommend it.
This place really nails it. The food is on point and you can taste the quality in every bite. They have an amazing service, the waiter! (Pepe)He's absolutely awesome, super friendly, attentive, and really makes you feel at home. If you're in the mood for some good Italian food and great service, this place is definitely worth checking out.
the food here is delicious!! they definitely got a little more expensive than the last time i went, but than again, so have most restaurants that i've been to for a second time. the service here is always quick! the food is made super fresh and warm. so so DELICIOUS. all these chefs are just so talented. our servers were really nice. these are the dishes i will never ever stop recommending: fettucine alfredo, burrata salad, CREME BURLEE. (and their complementary bread.)
I’ve dined at many restaurants, but no server has ever compared to Pepe! He was incredibly personable, checked on us regularly without being intrusive, and even gave us great recommendations on things to do while exploring the city. His service truly elevated our entire experience. I would 1000% recommend this place, ask for Pepe if you can!
The food was amazing and portions were very generous. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the entire staff was extremely friendly!! Daniel is top notch. My sister is gluten free and there were very accommodating to make sure she was happy!!
We had such a great experience. Food was phenomenal. The entree and deserts were so yummy. The waiter Daniel was so much more delectable. Wished they served him on a platter 10/10
After leaving a different restaurant in Long Island City for having horrible service we went right to Mulberry Street to find an authentic Italian Restaurant. A gentlemen outside came up to us and told us about the restaurant that is owned by his grandparents. He said he's a third generation of Italian and told us about growing up in Italy. He spoke highly and proudly. After speaking to him, I was convinced I'm going to his restaurant. I absolutely appreciated how attentive everyone one was. We were rapidly seated, the gentlemen pulled out my chair. Within moments, a waiter arrived, greeted us and poured us some nice cold water. Our menus quickly followed along with some warm and delicious garlic bread. We were given a seasoned olive oil to dip our bread in and it was amazing! We ordered the chicken Parmesan with penne and the penne ala vodka with chicken cutlet and barrata. The food did NOT disappoint!!! Everything was so flavorful. The chicken was so crispy yet cooked to perfection. The sauced had a creamy texture and a robust flavor. Absolutely yummy. After, we ordered dessert. We shared a spumoni. The spumoni had chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry. It was covered in a chocolate shell. This was the best spumoni I've ever had. Each bite has a perfectly chocolate crunch and was a bite of heaven. I left so full and happy!! I really thought based on my earlier experiences in long Island City that my night would be a dud... But this restaurant and the impeccable service and phenomenal food, truly made my night!! Thank you for everything.
My 5-star review is for the way the female manager handled things rather than anything else. After a mix up over my take-out dessert order on my sit-in dinner visit, the woman staff member on duty the next morning sorted it out with no fuss. That’s the way to do good business! In terms of the food, the margarita pizza I had was very good, a traditional Italian pizza the way it should be and though not exactly as it is made in Naples it was completely delicious. However, $45 for a pizza, a beer and a pre-made mini cheesecake is steep! Especially with the pizza being the only stand-out thing. And the waiters (here and elsewhere to be fair) are very keen to upsell to get your order up as high as possible. One waiter was nice and friendly and checked if everything was fine. The service was quick. The restaurant was fairly empty when I arrived at 8pm ish. I took a window seat to look out and also to make it look busier and hopefully attract more customers in for them. When another couple came in they turned the heater on for us which was appreciated. I first visited Little Italy in 1999, and again in 2016. It is not what it was. But it has potential to be so much more and to honour Italian culture – perhaps a museum or gallery could help revive the area.
Quaint little hole in the wall. Tiny wrap around porch for outdoor eating. Big downside it only has 1 bathroom! Tried the margarita pizza, focaccia bread. Both were amazing. Bread had perfect crisp outside with herbs and garlic and a Warm pillow inside. Pizza very simple red sauce. Perfect fluffy ricotta spinach not overbearing. Noodle a lit thicker than I was expecting. Needed more red sauce. Margherita Pizza delish but a lil under cooked toppings literally slid right into my mouth perfect marinara sauce the basil was so good nice crust but not crispy. Service was good our servers were very nice and even helped us with some suggestions for nearby stuff.
We came to Little Italy looking for 2 things: Margherita pizza and cannolis. The pizza was awesome, and cannolis decadent. Going back for ice cream today. Outdoor seating was great for people watching while we ate. Service staff were all friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional. Truly nice people.
This is probably my dozenth time at Caffe Napoli and every time it’s the most wonderful experience. The food is incredible and the service is unmatched! Just tonight I brought one of my friends here for the first time and as I expected she was floored. Our waitress, Iman, went above and beyond for not only the service but the comfort. Even once finishing our meal we weren’t rushed out or given the check before we were ready, we were welcome to sit there and enjoy our conversation and once we were done wished well! I would recommend to anyone tourist or local looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant in New York!
I’ve never left as good as a review as I’m about to. I came to New York in early 2019 and came to this restaurant. I remember everything I ordered and came back this year, ordered the exact same thing, and I was not let down. The service was friendly, the food came out very quickly. The pizza here was delicious and is definitely one of my favorites of all time. I ordered the bomba ice cream and it was very good. Special thanks to Justin and Pedro for the great service.
Caffe Napoli: Where Love and Laughter Are Always on the Menu Stepping into Caffe Napoli is like being whisked away on a Vespa ride through the charming streets of Naples—minus the jet lag and with a guaranteed reservation. The ambiance strikes the perfect chord between romantic and lively, making it an ideal spot whether you’re wooing a new flame or sharing a laugh with old friends. The culinary delights are nothing short of amore-inducing. The pasta is so authentically Italian that you might find yourself gesturing wildly with your hands after just one bite. And the pizza? It’s a masterpiece that could make even Michelangelo drop his chisel in admiration. The staff at Caffe Napoli are the true maestros of this symphony. Their warmth and attentiveness make you feel like part of the famiglia, ensuring that every visit is a standing ovation-worthy experience. In summary, if you’re seeking a dining experience that combines romance, humor, and mouthwatering cuisine, Caffe Napoli hits all the right notes. Just be prepared to leave with a full belly and a heart singing ‘That’s Amore.’
Just strolling by Little Italy finding a place to eat for my wife's grandfather. We were talking to one of the servers to see about another restaurant. We were impressed that he was willing to help rather than trying to shoo us into his restaurant. Needless to say, we stayed and it was a great experience. I wish I had more of an appetite as everything was delicious. I decided to get the Eggplant Trio thinking it was going to be small. I forgot that everything was basically family style. Everything we tasted and sampled was great. Wonderful hospitality. Next visit to NYC we will be sure to try and stop by.
My husband and go to NYC every December and this was the first year we ventured out to Chinatown and Little Italy. Caffe Napoli had such an inviting vibe and our waiter Yefery was spectacular. The food was authentic and delicious, service was quick and food was piping hot. We definitely plan on making this more of a tradition in the future.
Great spot. The food was solid and the vibe was really good. Our server Daniel took care of us the whole time chill, quick with the service, and on point with the recommendations. Made everything smooth. Definitely worth coming back.
Was strolling through Little Italy and knew this place was there, so had to stop in. My wife and I had seen it on a few YouTube videos as an authentic Italian restaurant. Went during the early afternoon on a Sunday, before the lunch crowd. The restaurant across the street was packed and Cafe Napoli was dead empty. We went in and got a table by the window (it was chilly or we would have sat outside) and ordered a pleasant lunch. Very quiet and the service was impeccable. This is not to say it was not busy for a reason, but rather you get the experience you make for yourselves. Napoli was perfect for a quick stop to eat while heading to Soho or back to Canal Street. Food was great and the focaccia bread was fluffy and crispy all at once. My wife is gluten, so options are limited. But she was able to enjoy a few items on the menu, but really the vibe is what you should be more interested in and this place did not disappoint .
If you’re exploring Little Italy in New York City, a visit to Caffe Napoli is a must. The combination of authentic Italian cuisine, historic charm, and a warm, inviting atmosphere creates an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re a pasta lover or simply seeking a cozy spot for a meal, Caffe Napoli delivers on every front.
I just had the most delicious dinner at Caffe Napoli! The service was exceptional , the food was amazing and my coffee drink was perfect! I highly recommend this spot in Little Italy! The banana pudding for dessert was the best ending to a great dinner! Giuseppe was so kind too!
This is the best meal I’ve had in my entire life. I’ve traveled across all of Asia, and Europe and nothing beats the foot here. I got the pistachio cannoli and it was life changing. We decided to come back for dinner another day to try their food becuase the dessert was so good. We were time constrained and they helped us get our order in and food came out so fast! The pesto gnocchi was the best thing ever. It was so extremely soft and fresh and so flavorful. We also got a pizza with truffle and prosciutto…. So amazing!! The truffle added a lot of flavor and was clearly there, the cheese was perfect; the crust was perfect. You must try this place!
Jordy got us in the door with his warm and friendly approach then Iman and the rest of the staff welcomed us with open arms. Eating here felt like dining with family and inside you don't feel like you're in NYC. The food was excellent from the margherita pizza to the lasagna and the sangria was refreshing and on happy hour. We even stayed for the coffee. Please stop by for a bite and a drink.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Caffe Napoli in Little Italy NYC is a true gem! The pasta is fresh, the sauces are rich, and the pizza is full of flavor. The ambiance feels like a slice of Italy, and the outdoor seating is perfect. Friendly staff and fast service made the experience unforgettable. A must-visit
As a Chinese palate that’s tasted cuisine from around the world, I have to admit — the way this restaurant prepares salmon with vegetables is absolutely top-tier. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a dish where the natural flavors and balance of the vegetables are brought out to such perfection. An amazing restaurant!
Great Italian Cafe. We had a great Pizza Nopolitana properly burnt to our liking, a delicious ceasar salad and cofe latte. Service is second to none. The atmosphere is cool with low volume backgroud music. In short - very recommend. Prices are very reasonable at around $14 per dish. Enjoy.
We stumbled along this cafe looking for a warm coffee and a sweet treat. The cannoli here is the best! But the best thing about this restaurant is the dedicated and selfless staff who stepped in when a patron assaulted a woman, placing themselves at personal risk to ensure such behavior was not tolerated. More restaurants need staff like this!
Visiting NYC for the first with my wife and we walked little Italy without a restaurant pre chosen and just felt it out. The host outside was polite not pushy when looking as we walked by and after walking the street made our way back and when returning was polite and stated he truly believed in the family that owns the place and the food is authentic and said he’s worked there multiple years and if we didn’t enjoy everything we ate he would quit his job. Safe to say he will be at work for the foreseeable future!!! Bread was some of the best I have ever eaten. Penne Alla Vodka was fantastic. The service from start to finish was fantastic. Will definitely be back in the future!!!
Phenomenal experience at Caffe Napoli. The shrimp parmigiana was the clear standout — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The espresso was excellent, and the staff hit the right balance of friendly and attentive. Relaxed atmosphere, great food, solid drinks. We’d absolutely come back.
AMAZING !! the pizza was perfect exactly what I would expect .. the caprese salad was perfect I loved that I got to control my oil and balsamic on my own salad .. we didn’t really have one waiter there was a host and waiter a busboy (I think) but they were all super helpful and amazing
Caffe Napoli has been in Little Italy for over 50 years and it was the perfect choice for my lunch! There are about 900 choices of Italian places on the same section of streets in the area, so HOW do you even choose? Well, you just do! I did look at every single place and menu and the food and atmosphere here were fantastic. The staff was fun and laid back, but professional and on top of everything. The host was actually FROM Italy, which was awesome. The portions, presentation and quality of my Chicken Parm lunch was enough to feed me for two days (I did not eat the next day....). SO GOOD.
Caffè Napoli is a true Little Italy gem. If you go, you must try the Spadini on chicken parm—perfectly layered, crispy, and packed with flavor. The potato croquettes are golden on the outside, soft and delicious inside, an ideal starter to share (or keep for yourself). To finish, the Sfogliatelle with an espresso is spot on—light, flaky, and the perfect balance of sweet with that strong, bold coffee. This place has the charm and authenticity that makes you want to linger, but also leaves you saying: “Gotta go back.”
Thank you so much to our server Iman. You gave us an incredible dining experience and helped us celebrate our friend!! Iman and the other staff were kind, accommodating, quick, and went above a beyond from the moment we entered until we left. Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly portioned. Prices are a tad high, but it’s also New York. The restaurant is smaller and while it handled our 6 person party, I suggest calling ahead if you have a group. Great for date night, meeting with friends or family, maybe okay during the day for kids. But there isn’t a TON of seating so just keep that in mind. I would go here again if I’m ever back in the area!
Pepe was the best. Extremely kind and hardworking. Great food as well. Attentive service as good as the food.

Great place, atmosphere, service, food in heart of Little Italy on Mulberry Street. Really great pizza, neopolitan
Amazing food. The margarita pizza was better than the one I had in Rome, Italy. Also our waiter Pepe was so energetic, fun, and helpful explaining menu items. He's awesome!!!!!
The best service and food... best pasta in little Italy definitely recommend 10/10. make sure to ask recommendations they will point you to the best food on the menu.

My husband and I dropped in while shopping in ChinaTown. We had delicious Rose and Bucatini Al’Amatriciana. INCREDIBLE! Great service and lovely outdoor seating
The street is very noisy and it’s a little sketchy with all fake brand dealers. Not the nicest neighborhood. This place looked more authentic than the other ones from little Italy neighborhood. Pasta was better than pizza. Pizza was okay but nothing crazy. Took a whole to get menus. Probably wouldn’t go back again. The owner seemed nice.
My first visit here. We were told there were no tables, we happened to walk around the corner and got Into the back room without even knowing it. We were seated immediately. They took our order, and then we were forgotten. It took forever to get our pizza. When we ordered dessert, he never came back. There were only 3 other tables so I don’t know what the problem was. We asked for the check. And had to get it adjusted because they charged us for desserts that they did not bring us. Sad to say, we were very disappointed.
Arrived here for dessert & more wine 🍷. Went with the Pinot Grigio for happy hour $9. The Coconut 🥥 sorbet was a grand slam. One spoon and you can close your eyes and imagine tropical islands. The napoleon slice was average and a bit on the smaller side. I kind of missed the vibes prior to 2020. But still a good 👍 time
The food amazing; atmosphere was nice too. Two things for improvement: 1. The bathroom in the basement is scary. 2. It is better to allow customers decide the tip and not to already include 20%.
Came here during the feast of San Gennaro festival. It was crowded but enjoyable. Per the guy trying to get you to eat here, they have the best pizza with ingredients sourced from Italy. Everyone else uses frozen pizza. All a stretch but the pizza was pretty. The sangria is meh. The ones they were selling at some stands at the festival were better. Not enough flavor and tasted a bit watered down for the prize.
You can't go to NY without visiting Little Italy and you can't go to Little Italy and not have a bowl of Caffe Napoli's pasta fagioli. Delicious and piping HOT all the way to the end. Friendly service and great atmosphere and it all happened on Mulberry Street.
I would have rated the service higher if not for the server’s lack of efficiency, attentiveness, and friendliness. The busboys and host were fantastic, and their efforts are truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience fell short for an anniversary dinner. Despite reminding the server multiple times about the occasion, and leaving a generous tip for the team to pool (which I hope is fairly shared), we were still charged for an additional glass of house wine. It would have been a nice gesture to offer it on the house, especially given we had already purchased a $65 bottle earlier. Even at a 5 star Jean Georges restaurant they come over with a on the house glass or dessert. Or even just acknowledging the fact. The food was excellent, and I would return for that alone, but I would prefer not to be served by the same individual. One of the other servers in a white-collared shirt was much more attentive, promptly bringing ice to the table when requested, while our assigned server remembered minutes later. This occurred on a relatively slow Tuesday evening following the San Gennaro festivities.
We followed the suggestion from YTs "here be barr" and found a nice restaurant in little italy during a lot of rain. The team was so nice and we had a good time. Bruschetta was very good, the main dish (carne cannelloni and i forgot which pasta my girlfriend had - was spicy) was good. We also had coffee and cake. The bill was around 90 dollar which i think is common for NY with some drinks, appetizer, main dish and dessert. Can recommend this but yeah, its touristy.
Pizza pizza pizza! I am just going to get straight to the point, this pizza was amazing. It ranks in the top 2% of all the pizza I’ve tried in my life. We visited this place for the first time during the San Gennaro feast in New York City. Despite the fact that the crowd was massive, staff was able to manage the crowd. We were seated promptly considering the enormous crowd. The server was kind and attentive, even with all the chaos going on outside I can’t even imagine how attentive they would be during a normal dinner service. We ordered the pizza, stuffed mushrooms, and a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. And as I mentioned previously, the pizza was phenomenal! The pasta dish wasn’t as great as I expected it to be, which was kind of disappointing. This is why I gave the restaurant four stars instead of five. If we had just ordered the pizza alone this restaurant deserves 10 stars. I highly recommend their pizza…. So pay them a visit!!!
This is not what used to be 20 years ago. Despite the food being outstandingly delicious like always, the ambiance and the service don’t rise to the expectations. The place looks seriously beat up and not updated in many, many years. Service….not necessarily bad, but very relaxed and bored, could be much better. However, like I said : the food is amazing. The veal piccata is still the best in NYC.
We were sat right away, food came quickly, food was ok, I had cavatelli with eggplant and the eggplant was bitter and the dish was very oily. My kids had penne pasta with meatballs and spaghetti and meatballs. Quite a tourist place, as for authentic it didn't hit home with me, I felt the rich flavors were missing. But there were what seemed to be locals in and out.

$8 for a cup of coffee? An absolute joke. No price list provided for coffee, just the desserts. I figure they knew I was a tourist and had a crack. I’m furious.

Great service, great atmosphere and great service - what more could you ask for? Portions were plentiful, and everything was clearly priced on the menu.
I wish I could give this place more stars, but three feels fitting. Our waiter, was a lighter skin guy with a high top, he wasn’t very attentive. Furthermore, they gave our food to another table and we waited almost over an hour and a half. All of the tables around us sat down after us and got their food before us and we weren’t offered a discount, not even when asked. The stuffed artichoke was AMAZING, but my pasta was mediocre today and yesterday.
Went for lunch. I thought it was weird that the lunch menu was actually more expensive than the actual menu of the same dish. I had the sangria it was really delicious probably my favorite thing. Our waiter seemed in a rush. They’re so focused on just bringing people in than actual focusing on the food. It’s okay, nothing wow about it
This is a tourist spot. We are here to check out the dessert and coffee. Coffee was so so, and the deserts are old school type, and they are the sweet side. People are very nice in this store, and the place has an old Mew York City feel. Glad that we tried, and we had a good experience.
Service was slow however food came out rapidly which is a huge pet peeve. I don’t want my main course while we are still eating appetizers. Food was good - not the best - not the worst - seafood risotto with white sauce was very bland. Lobster ravioli and stuffed mushrooms were amazing.
They didn’t have a few things on the menu. We chose our desserts and the waiter then came a few minutes later to tell us that one of them wasn’t available so we changed our order. After that he completely forgot about that dessert and gave us only one. We waited for a very long time and had to finally remind him of that. It took like 40 min in total to get a simple dessert. We had already drunk our coffee by the time that dessert finally arrived. After all that trouble, they didn’t even comp that dessert on the bill. In addition to that, at one point, some waiter came to our table and gave us someone else’s credit card by mistake. Imagine if they gave it to someone who would actually steal it! A gross negligence on their part! When I told the waiter about the mistake and returned the card to him, he didn’t even thank me. Very poor customer service.
I knew better than to sit in the restaurant as it was staffed by waiters trying to grab customers from the street, but since it was the weekend, we found a seat here. The calamari wasn't good, the beer wasn't very cold, but the pizza was delicious. The service wasn't bad, but I think they forgot our pizza, it arrived very late. The restrooms were terrible, and for that reason, I have to deduct a lot of points. I won't recommend this place.

Disappointing. We were here catching up with a family friend we hadn’t seen in years but the waiters seemed to let anyone on the street bring their boombox in and play loud music. We got re-seated, and the boombox came over to our new spot 15 minutes later. Very aggravating when trying to talk to one another and hear correctly. Weak sparkling rosé - more like grape juice. Calamari was flavorless. Our meals are not pictured but were sub par at best…
At first glance, the restaurant looks beautiful — the interior is really lovely, modern, and pleasant. The food was decent, though I wouldn’t say it tastes like real Italian pasta. The flavor was okay, but not truly authentic. What really bothered me was that they automatically added an 18% gratuity to the bill without informing or asking me first. I find that very rude and unprofessional. As a customer and a tourist, I know my rights, and I believe such charges should be clearly stated in advance. When I asked about it, they said, “America is full of tourists who don’t tip,” so they add 18% automatically. I find that attitude unfair and disrespectful, and it should definitely be written somewhere that gratuity will be included in the bill. It’s a shame, because the place itself is beautiful — but this experience left a bad impression.
The pizza was good! But the service was really bad. The waiter said ‘the tables at the front’ are all reserved. I was there for like 1,30 hours and the tables were never used. I eventually got a good spot so It doesn’t even matter after all. After that, I ordered the Daviola pizza, without black olives (Instead of the olives I took mozzarella). When I got the bill, they charged me 4 extra dollars for the mozzarella I took instead of the black olives. Plus you’ve to pay a 18% gratuity charge! Resumed: Luckily I’m not a difficult person for them, but it amazes me that they handled my situation like this.
We ordered a couple pastas and pizzas for the whole table and portions were so small they weren't even enough for one person. After all that the bill was over $100. Any other true Italian place will …
It was delicious but beware with how they charge you. I only ordered Cavatelli Siciliana and was charged $24 when in the menu it says $22 but in their website it says $18. I’m not worried because I’ll get my money back from my credit card company. Smh. And the gratuity and tax aren’t included in that price. I don’t mind paying for what it says on the menu however it’s different story when you charge me for not what it says on the menu. See photos. My friend ordered/paid bolognese and the desert. The greeter and other servers were nice but our server is a little mean.
We walked past Caffe Napoli and I asked the hostess if there was a table for 3 people (a 9-year-old child and 2 adults). We were promptly seated at a table inside the establishment. We waited a long time before being attended to by a waiter. After we asked for someone to give us some attention, the waiter finally came and took our order for the dishes since we were already starving. Meanwhile, the table next to us became available, and 4 people sat down. They were immediately attended to and brought a basket of focaccia bread, while we hadn’t even been given water. I kept looking at the menu to choose a wine and had already noticed that, at least at our table, the service was very slow (we were barely getting any attention at all). When I asked the waiter if we weren’t entitled to a basket of focaccia bread—since the table next to us had already received theirs quickly from another waiter—his answer was that it was on its way. But by then, it had already been about 15 minutes since we had placed our order. When the dishes finally arrived, I was shocked at how little food was served—it looked more like a “free sample” of spaghetti than a proper plate. I’ve always known that in Italian restaurants you eat well, but this one felt more like a French restaurant with the portion sizes. We ordered a third dish, and this time it took a long while to arrive, unlike the first order which had come very quickly. When we finished eating, I was already irritated with the terrible service, as the waiter had completely disappeared. We then called a waitress and asked for the check. She brought us a bill that had nothing to do with our order—our bill should have been a little over $100 for 3 dishes, but what she brought was over $200 from another table that had nothing to do with us. When I asked to speak to the manager to complain about the poor service, the waitress removed the 18% that had already been included in the total, but what I really wanted was to report what had happened. In the end, I paid the correct amount and we left. We will never set foot in a place again where the service is this bad. The next day we went to another restaurant (Eataly), and we were warmly welcomed with impeccable service. Suggestion to Caffe Napoli management: improve your service, because you don’t deserve to prosper with such weak customer care.
Terrible experience a few summers ago when I found a rubber band in my gelato. One of the servers said it was probably from the asparagus. Unfortunately, they whisked away the ice cream with an asparagus rubber band inside and I was unable to take a photo with the foreign object inside. The photo posted here was before my discovery of the foreign object. I complained to the waiters, and instead of owing up to it and apologizing and trying to appease us, nobody approached us to try to explain and apologize. After insisting on speaking with a manager and waiting for a long time, some guy claiming to be the manager berated me for shouting because it took them at least 30 minutes to come to us and resolve our issue. Yes, that's what he did instead of apologizing or explaining about the unhygienic incident. So, never, never again! It was a harrowing experience and I complained to NYC Consumer Affairs immediately about it at that time, but it never got resolved. Even if it has been some time already and I had forgotten to do an earlier review, I could not make more google reviews without recalling what an awful time me and my friend visiting the city had here. I felt obliged to share. Don't come here.
I had an absolutely terrible experience at Little Napoli today. I literally had to beg just to get drinks and food brought out. Our waiter, Pepe, disappeared without any explanation, and the new guy who stepped in kept apologizing yet somehow still delayed everything we ordered. We ordered everything you featured in your video. The lobster ravioli was decent, but the osso buco was downright disappointing — completely below average. To make things worse, they added a mandatory 18% tip for a party of two. When I questioned it, the waiter claimed it was “normal for the holiday season.” Funny enough, as I was walking out, another customer was yelling about their awful experience, and when I asked him if he was charged a mandatory tip, he said no. When I confronted our waiter about this inconsistency, he shrugged and said, “I don’t know… you could’ve asked to remove it.” The whole thing felt shady, dishonest, and borderline scammy. These guys are ruining the reputation of what should be a well-known, respected establishment. Terrible experience!!! Be aware!!!
This place was absolutely disappointing. Went there today 12/21/25. The guy out front mentioned that the restaurant has been around since 1972, so I thought it had potential. I wish I had looked at other reviews before committing. We ordered two drinks and the rice balls as an appetizer. They made the wrong spritz for me, but I let it go. The rice balls were disgusting the cheese wasn’t even melted inside. The bread they serve isn’t fresh; it’s pulled straight out of a plastic bag. I don’t know what the worst part was: the wrong drink, the food, the bathrooms, or the fact that they charge a 20% gratuity. One of the bathroom stalls didn’t even have a door, and there was water leaking onto the toilet. For two drinks and one appetizer, the total was $72. I will never go back. It’s honestly a slap in the face to authentic Italian restaurants in Little Italy.
