We walked past Kitchen at Cobble Hill and on a whim decided to go in for dinner. We were blown away by the quality of the food, very attentive service, and cozy yet elevated decor. We also appreciated all the vegetarian options and nice ambience. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!
Really amazing experience with catering at Kitchen at Cobble Hill! Olga is the most sweet and helpful owner and went above and beyond in providing catering for our sons 1st Birthday. The food was amazing and got rave reviews and she even provided beautiful serving platters for the food. I would recommend them highly!! A must!
We had our company party at the Kitchen last week and everything was perfection! From planning the event with Olga which was a breeze, to food selection, beautiful decor and setup, amazing cocktails at the open bar, jazz band entertainment and attentive service - it was everything we could expect and beyond! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!
We had our wedding here! Olga was so helpful and worked with to create a dining experience for our budget. The decor was amazing and the staff was very nice. It was very nice to actually enjoy my wedding and not have to stress about little details
I would have to say this is one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had with a food and drink/rental space business! The host that I worked with was extremely accommodating and did everything she could to make sure the surprise party I was planning went off without a hitch! The waitstaff was incredibly helpful and attentive and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous!!! The food was very tasty and all of my friends/guests agreed and everyone was very nice! I couldn’t thank them enough times for their hospitality! I would most certainly recommend if you are having an event or just going out for a nice dinner, lunch, or brunch to highly consider Kitchen at Cobble Hill!
Absolutely wonderful place! First of all, the food is delicious and outclasses any other restaurant in its price range. For $20, patrons can have a Michelin star worthy meal. Combine the food with gorgeous furniture and decorations and The Kitchen at Cobble Hill is truly worthy of a five star review.
We had a baby shower at this wonderful restaurant. Everything was superb. Olga is a delight to work with. Nothing was a problem. Both in preparation and on the day of, staff was accommodating and on top of everything. Food was delicious, set up was ideal, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would completely recommend having a party here.
Exquisite! My wife and I came here for brunch with some friends and omg this is brunch heaven! I've been to a ton of brunches and there's always a limited selection but this restaurant had everything and more. The specialty cocktails alone are worth the visit, but the food is next level. You're guilty pleasures are made with a healthy twist, the portions are hearty and the price is perfect. The chef here (Chef Dan) takes enormous pride in his dishes and took the time to come chat with us during our meal. It's amazing to find people so passionate about making their customers happy. I would definitely come back here again for brunch and now I have to come back and try every other meal time!
I regularly walk by Kitchen at Cobble Hill and am so glad I finally stopped in for a meal! For a Sunday brunch, I was pleasantly surprised we were able to be seated right away. The ambiance is lovely, and the staff were attentive and kind. My table shared a few dishes, and everything was delicious, especially the duck pappardelle and truffle fries. Will definitely be back!
My wife and I just came upon The Kitchen while on a Court Street errand around lunchtime. What a treat! We both had soup—chicken soup with dumplings for her, cold borscht for me. Our main items were the latkes for her and Sabich sandwich for me. Everything was truly delicious and the service was excellent. Eager to go back for dinner!
Exquisite, elegant, cozy decor. Friendly stuff. Delightfull and fresh food. Perfect execution. The prices are just right. We had an amazing dinner recently at the Cobble Kitchen. I had French Onion soup and Steak with mashed potatoes. My other half had Chicken Soup (they make it with meat dumplings-very unusual and delicious) and Scottish Salmon. For desert we chose Strawberry Mascarpone. Santorini and Argos cocktails for drinks. Everything was super delicious. In fact the whole dining experience-atmosphere, service, food, cleaniness of the place was impeccable. We are deffinitely going to become a regulars.
I love and adore this restaurant. It's small but clean, beautiful, and inviting. The staff is friendly and professional. You don't need to worry if you're unsure on what to order because the staff will recommend some of the best plates based on what you like normally. The owner, Olga, is a wonderful and sweet woman. She knows how to make a customer feel welcomed. The drinks are amazing. I always have they're infused drinks. My favorite is the rose-strawberry vodka but I highly recommend to try all of them, if you can. The food is perfectly made. I never had a issue. I even brought my friends one night and they truly enjoyed the restaurant. I will always recommend stopping in Kitchen to anyone.
A very lovely place with great service. Make sure to try the chicken with mashed potatoes and the grilled cheese sandwich — both are absolutely delicious!
An easy five stars. Luxurious ambience, friendly service, and truly classy upscale eastern Mediterranean food. I had the minced beef feta kebab (their take on kofte), and the meat was tender and perfectly spiced with a beautiful crust, with the feta and the yogurt sauce leaving a wonderful creamy mouthfeel. Paired with a thoughtfully balanced field green salad and a warm and comforting rice pilaf, this dinner was a splurge I did not regret one bit. Great place for a fancy date. (Or for a difficult conversation with your spouse, if you want to get divorced inside an A24 film.)
I had a fantastic experience hosting my sister's baby shower at Kitchen. Olga (the host) is absolutely lovely and made everything so special for us. The food was incredible and the scenery so adorable. Will absolutely go there for a meal or host another event there. Highly recommend.
I came upon this incredible place by accident—a parcel for me was mistakenly addressed here so I came to pick it up. And I am so grateful for that error since it brought me to Olga’s incredible restaurant. Everyone was extremely friendly, warm and sociable. And the food was PHENOMENAL!!! The Carrot Skordalia, borscht & latkes were absolutely delicious!!
Some of the best Borsch soup I have had in New York. It’s right up there with Veselka’s. And I love the chopped salad! Great Service and Lovely environment for lunch or dinner! I will definitely bring my family next time!
A great place for a lazy Sunday brunch. Kitchen has a great selection of vegetarian small plates and we tried all of them! Loved each one of them, definitely try the potato dumplings and charred broccoli. The espresso martini was delectable! Servers were kind and helpful. Overall had a very satisfying brunch experience! Thank you!! 😊
My favorite haunt for over a decade and i can honestly say the food has never been better than it is now! Olga is restauranteur extraordinaire! My absolute favorites are the mushroom dumplings, Brussels sprouts and latkes and somehow they get better every year! The new menu has thankfully kept them on but there are so many other new things that i have to try! Everything is executed exquisitely! The ambiance’s refined eclectic plush glam is so chic yet warm and inviting! This place has to be the most underrated restaurant in NYC! Don’t walk, RUN there now, you won’t regret it!
We used Kitchen at Cobble Hill catering for our baby shower and we were so pleased with the outcome! Olga was lovely and communicative, and was very honest about how much food we needed based on our numbers, which brought the cost down. The food was a big hit -- particularly the chicken sliders, veggie platter, and the smoked salmon sandwiches. We would absolutely recommend using KCH and plan to return for a meal in the future.
We had a private event at Kitchen and they were incredible to work with. They were very generous with the food (which was delicious) and the drinks. Highly recommend!
It was an absolute pleasure to host my son’s baptism at the Kitchen at Cobble Hill. The food is delicious. The room has a great vibe. The service with Olga and team is impeccable; they were all lovely people and easy to work with. I’ll be planning more gatherings there in the future!
I visited Kitchen at Cobble Hill for a bridal shower and was so impressed by my entire experience especially with my food allergies. The team were very accommodating, they offered opened bar with very attentive bar tenders, and the food was delicious. I would definitely come back for to dine during regular hours and even host my own event here in the near future.
I placed a catering order from Kitchen at Cobble Hill for my husband's surprise birthday party this past weekend (~25 people). I communicated with Olga via email - she was super helpful, responsive and willing to work with me based on the type of menu I was looking for. Olga was such a pleasure to work with - she even offered to stop and grab flowers on the way over the day of the party to help set up (!!). I was able to leave her and one of her team members in the room for the party while i went to do other things, and knew that when I came back everything would be perfect. Presentation was great, amazing amazing service and even better food. 10/10 would use them again for another party. Price points were great and the food was delicious. It was a hit... HIGHLY recommend!
Had THE BEST time at Kitchen. We hosted a NYE birthday party there. Olga and Leo are the best!!!! Cocktails are incredible—we loved the purple cocktail and espresso martinis. And the food was SO good!!! Couldn’t stop eating the potato and beef dumplings. Space was beautifully decorated. Loved the vibe inside. Can’t wait to go back for dinner soon. New favorite spot in cobble hill
Kitchen at Cobble Hill catered a small gathering of friends recently and knocked it out of the park! We were impressed by the display and the quality of the food. While everything was delicious standouts were the zucchini fritters and the red pepper hummus. Olga was prompt with delivery of the food and pickup of the lovely serving trays and boards and couldn’t have been lovelier to work with.
Kitchen was an amazing experience. From great unique cocktails like Jalapeno Margaritas to great food options including Gluten Free. They even extended the happy hour special for us when it was past 7pm. Food was delicious. Had the salmon burger which was awesome. Highly recommend going to this establishment if you want something different and chill
There’s something utterly charming about this gem of a restaurant, from its lovely decor, to the warmth of its staff, you feel like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home. The space is richly elegant and inviting, but the real magic is in the care and skill that goes into every plate that is presented. The food really blows you away! The Charred broccoli is smoky and tender, the Potato dumplings are silky smooth and melt on your tongue, and the Duck Pappardelle is addictive with a rich and complex sauce. Every bite feels like it was made with love. I can go on and on. If you get lucky you will meet Olga, the wonderful owner who makes it her mission that every guest feels seen and cared for. It’s rare to find a place where the food is this good and the hospitality is even better—but here, they go hand in hand. If you’re looking for a meal that feels like a hug, this is it. You’ll leave already dreaming of your next visit.
Great little place. Been going for years and loved it every time. Don't do many reviews but figured they deserve it. I definitely like the people that work there, the owner is attentive, the waiters are on target, competent bartenders. I love the food... sort of comfort food for me but more sophisticated than the typical Eastern Euro spots in southern BKLN. I don't have a favorite dish but the dumplings are killer everytime, the salads and greens remind me of my childhood, and the borscht is delicious (a lot less fatty than my gramma's (thought I do like the fatty kind too ;))) but I only go for that in the winter... it's my warmer upper. The other night went with friends who ordered various appetizers I don't typically go for so I got to try different things and they were all really good. Love this place
We catered our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party appetizers from Kitchen at Cobble Hill and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. The food was fantastic, and there were plenty of options to accommodate any palate and dietary restriction. Everything was delivered to our venue promptly, was beautifully presented, and ready to serve immediately. Our guests raved about the food, and we loved the efficient and kind service provided by Olga, Anna, and the whole team. I would absolutely use them again for any catering needs, and I can’t wait to visit them at their restaurant.
This is an innovative little restaurant. I go here the most. My favorite items are the lamb meatballs, potato latkes, meat dumplings and of course The Butcher Burger. The owner is Incredibly thoughtful, She can be found sourcing special items In the neighborhood for private events. If you’re really lucky you’ll find her behind the bar mixing your next drink. Very good energy here!!
Wow! Where to start? We just hosted my daughter's bridal shower brunch at Kitchen in Cobble Hill this past Sunday. It was truly amazing!! Olga and her team went above and beyond to make my daughter's vision for her bridal shower a reality. Olga patiently worked with us to create a great blend of all of my daughter's favorite brunch and lunch items from Kitchen's menu for our guests who raved about the quality & quantity of the food and the service. Olga, the owner of Kitchen, was attentive to every single detail of the day including my daughter's food requests, the creative bar menu, the color coordinated fall flowers on the table, the scrumptious dessert cake & the delicious home made ice cream to even the special touches taken for the table settings (unique table linens, decorative herbs on the napkins). Olga was present and actively involved every step of the way both with pre-party planning and on the actual event day. The Kitchen restaurant's servers worked very hard to please all of our guests especially Matt who was incredibly accommodating and proactive meeting our guests' needs and any special dietary requests. We plan to return to Kitchen whenever possible to celebrate special occasions, to regularly partake in their incredible brunch and to sample their delectable dinner menu items. Many of our guests who have gone to a multitude of bridal showers over the past several years stated that my daughter's bridal shower was the "best bridal shower" they ever attended. My daughter was also thrilled with every aspect of the event at Kitchen! We could not have been happier; it was a very special day for our family thanks to Olga and her team @ Kitchen!
We hosted a bridal shower here on a Saturday, and it was absolutely lovely! From the planning to the day-of, Anna and Olga made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. They were incredibly accommodating for our group of 23. The food was amazing—some of my favorite appetizers were the beet deviled eggs, duck hash potatoes, and brussels sprouts. For entrees, the duck pappardelle, orecchiette with veggies, and beef stroganoff were all delicious (though the stroganoff was just a touch salty for my taste). I also appreciated that we had the flexibility to choose between individual plating or family-style service. All of our guests were really happy about this since they got to try a variety of foods. The staff were attentive throughout, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a small gathering or special event. Thank you for making this a special day for us :)
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! We worked with Olga to arrange a very large catering event for our school. The service and quality of the food were perfect. The whole time Olga was communicating updates and making special accommodations for our order. Best of all, the teachers and staff absolutely loved it! I also placed a large order for my birthday and it was a smash success. Great local restaurant!
After walking for 45 minutes trying to contemplate what looks like a suited place for my friend and I, we turn our heads to a fabulous welcoming atmosphere that was instantly confirmed that was the place to stay at. To the music, food, and the lovely server Hannah, it was such a pleasant evening to experience.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood, the food is delicious and appetizer size main courses are my favorite. I love to enjoy my wine here. The ambiance is very comfortable, yet fancy. Perfect choice for a date night & meeting friends & a solo treat. I will visit this place more often. I'd only suggest them to train their staff about communication with the customers and especially greeting.
Sweet people, cozy. Lunch special is a boon for those of us who need something filling and very reasonably priced.
My bridal shower was here today and it was utter perfection. The food, drink, ambiance and planning experience was truly a dream. Olga makes it feel like you are working with family - no detail is too small, and her and her staff gave 110% to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The food was fresh and delicious, all of our guests were blown away. I highly recommend Kitchen for any type of party or gathering.
Really lovely brunch experience! Lots of range on the brunch menu from eggs to burgers to vegetarian plates which was great because most places just pigeon hole you into having eggs or salads. We were able to order a bunch of things and share it family style, everything we got was fantastic! Highly recommend the fried feta, truffle fries, charred broccoli and potato dumplings. Excellent selection of brunch drinks as well and the bartender crafted them perfectly for us. Loved the smoking barrel! Lovely ambience, really made the whole brunch vibe enjoyable. Special mention for the impeccable service, both the bartender/server were very kind and courteous. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back for brunch.
We held my wife's 40th birthday party here and it was AMAZING. The food was insanely good. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm and just so professional! They made a very special night for us even better. I love Kitchen at Cobble Hill and seriously can't recommend them enough.
We had a wonderful experience at Kitchen at Cobble Hill. My daughter planned a baby shower for her sister; she worked with Olga, who is just lovely, and who went out of her way to make this a special day. The staff at Kitchen is also amazing. Attended to everything we needed and more than we expected. From decor to food, it was perfect. First, I'll comment that online the room looks long and narrow, but it is much more spacious in person. Second, the cocktails! Our event included choices of six or seven signature cocktails, which were delicious, generously sized, and beautifully presented. Today I will be thinking about the cocktail I chose, the Izmir Spritz, a delicious creation of St. Germaine, Prosecco, strawberry and peach. The food! The food was incredible and there was so much of it! Everything was just delicious and beautifully prepared and served. If you like pickles and you decide to try Kitchen, order anything that has their homemade pickles served with it because they are the best. I highly recommend!
Need a great local caterer? Someone that can make a great meat main but also make sure the vegans feel like they are not second class? Look no further!! I have used this place for about 3 years for a holiday party and every time the food is the absolute best.
Got brunch here recently and was really happy with the experience. It's well decorated, cozy, and inviting. The serving staff were very nice and welcoming and sat me immediately (the play was empty when I showed up a bit before 1130!). My friend and I split a couple of dishes including the pickled deviled eggs, Turkish eggs, and smoked salmon latkes. Everything was delicious! The only thing we did not like was the coffee, we got a latte and a cappuccino. Maybe it was someone's first day working the espresso machine , who knows. Good food, good ambiance, good staff, but bad coffee. It's a combination I'm still pretty happy with!
Kitchen is such a beautiful, inviting and cozy environment with the most delicious food. With a warm energy and super friendly staff, it is the perfect oasis to unwind, have quiet conversation or a happy group, and eat unique and delicious food! Can't recommend the eggs and latkes more highly! Chef and staff also extremely generous and accommodating when I made a mistaken catering order for the wrong day! SO appreciated, not to mention scrumptious. I don't get to dine here nearly as often as I would like to!! More in 2024!
Kitchen at Cobble Hill is the cool side of the pillow Let me start with opening the door. Immediately, you feel the stress leave your body as you peruse the warmth of the cozy decor. This was a family brunch and we are all foodies in different areas. I had the burger. My wife had an omelette, my daughters had eggs with latkes and shakshuka. All the dishes came out at the same time, were hot and very tasty. The presentation was perfect and the service was exceptional. While we did not drink, there is a well stocked full bar. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Olga. We could feel her passion for hospitality in her smile and her greeting. This place is a gem that we will surely be back to over and over again.
I recently hosted my daughter's bat mitzvah party at this wonderful restaurant, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Olga ensured that everything went off without a hitch. The restaurant provided an exceptional venue for our special occasion. With approximately 70 attendees, including 10 children, it was important for us to find a place that could accommodate everyone comfortably. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The spaciousness of the venue allowed guests to move around freely and enjoy the celebration to the fullest. Both indoor and outdoor spaces we well used. One of the highlights of our bat mitzvah party was the incredible food. The catering menu offered a wide selection of dishes, and there was something for everyone. From mouthwatering appetizers to delectable main courses, each item was meticulously prepared and presented. The attention to detail and quality of the food truly impressed all our guests. It was a delight to see everyone, from young to old, thoroughly enjoying their meals. The ambiance of the restaurant added an extra layer of charm to the event. The space felt cozy and inviting, reminiscent of a friend's Brooklyn brownstone parlor. The combination of bright mid-century modern furnishings and tasteful decor created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect backdrop for our celebration, and our guests felt right at home. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Olga and the entire staff for their impeccable service and hospitality. Their professionalism and dedication made our bat mitzvah party an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special event or gathering. It truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you again to the entire team for making my daughter's bat mitzvah party a resounding success!
Everything in my lunch was perfect. The muhamarra came with loads of veggies and fluffy warm bread. The great crust on the salmon looked great and tasted really good. The roasted brussels sprouts were a good complement although a bit sweet. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and the place is cozy, airy, and looks great.
Excellent food in a place that has romantic ambience. Me and my spouse booked this venue to host our wedding. The manager Olga was helpful form the beginning to the very end of the planning. This venue is not only beautiful but serves good food. I highly recommend this venue for your private event needs.
We were the only ones there for a bit but it was a treat! The food was great, the drinks were even better. I had the argos and my friend had the Fig Bourbon (can’t recall the name right now). The bartender/host/busser/waiter was so kind and worked in a timely fashion despite being the only one there. Would definitely be back!
I had a positive experience here with my friends. The place is small, but cozy and aesthetic. I would describe the restaurant as a hidden gem. The potato dumplings are a must-try dish and they have dips, that are prepared to perfection. Additionally, the owner of the restaurant is very welcoming and accommodating, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food and friendly service!
We received a sampler from Kitchen at Cobble Hill, and it was absolutely delicious! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell they put real care into their cooking. A big thank you to the team for sending it over — it was such a treat and truly appreciated. We’ll definitely be ordering soon!
I have gone to Kitchen at Cobble Hill several times over the last year with family and friends and each time I go the food and service has been incredible. I highly recommend the beef stroganoff and their brunch options. They also have a great bar. My server Hannah made one of the best martinis I’ve ever had. Definitely will be returning!
We have hired the Kitchen at Cobble Hill to cater several professional events, and each time they have been punctual, the food has been outrageously delicious, and the staff have been incredibly helpful and diligent. If there are tasks that need doing, they will be done. They leave without a trace at the end of the event, even taking care of rentals. The whole process is always seamless, our guests rave about the food and service, and you couldn't ask for a nicer person than Olga to communicate with. They will truly bend backwards for you to make sure you are happy with the experience, especially for such reasonable prices. Thank you, Olga and everyone, for being a dream to work with!
Delicious! Can’t wait to go back. The feta cigars were out of this world and we loved the chicken sandwich and chicken kebabs too!
I highly recommend this restaurant. We celebrated my grandson's first birthday last weekend as a private event and it was an amazing experience. The food was very delicious. The staff was very courteous and flexible with various requests from guests. Everyone at this party thoroughly enjoyed the variety and presentation of different vegetarian dishes and drinks.
I stumbled upon this gem at 4:00 pm, starving after missing lunch. I was certain they would not serve me because it wasn't dinner yet. But, the staff were welcoming and made me feel at home. They made an excellent drink on the fly, and served the best grilled salmon salad I ever had. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and a romantic delight. I can't wait to go back!
The food is delicious and varied, the people are nice and the furniture is unusually comfortable and stylish.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Kitchen at Cobble Hill in April 2025 and had a BLAST!!! All our guests complimented the food and the atmosphere; the service was immaculate and all dietary restrictions catered to; and the staff was kind and celebratory with us. We couldn't have picked a better spot. Thank you for your hospitality!
This place is such a gem. Perfect for a working lunch or a special dinner. The food brings you home. The staff is clearly hand selected. The vibe is comforting yet upscale 70’s lounge.
I love this place. It’s so casual and comfortable and the food is sooooo good. Feels like one of those neighborhood gems. With unpretentious atmosphere and homey vibes. Everything I’ve eaten has tasted great, like authentic home cooking. Borscht with meat, beef stroganoff, kale salad. All yum.
This is such a wonderful place with absolutely delicious food and an amazing staff. The atmosphere is cozy and truly special! I had my very first date with my now-husband here. A year later, we came back to celebrate being newly married, and another year after that, we returned again to celebrate our anniversary while I was six months pregnant. Next year, we’ll be back once more — this time as three: my husband, our daughter, and me. ❤️ This place feels like our lucky charm, and we’ll definitely keep coming back again and again! Thank you for all the beautiful memories you’ve given us. ❤️
We just hosted our event of 45 people at Kitchen at Cobble Hill. Olga, Anna and the entire team were a pleasure to partner with. They guided us on the menu options and were flexible and very collaborative as we discussed various details leading up to the event. We had a lovely event and are very happy. Our guests appreciated the delicious food and drinks as well as the hospitality the team extended and made our event so memorable and special!
A wonderful place for lunch with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor — you can truly taste the love in every bite. The service was exceptional, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Huge thanks to the team for making the experience so special. Keep up the great work — I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
The food here is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is also really lovely; it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal. And the best part is, you usually don't have to wait for a table. I can't understand why this restaurant isn't as popular as it should be – it's a real gem! I highly recommend giving it a try.
The aesthetic was super cute—definitely a cozy, stylish spot. We started with the Crispy Feta Cigars and the Beef & Pork Dumplings with caramelized onions, and both were absolutely mouthwatering. For the main, I had the Steak Frites (petite tender), which was incredibly satisfying—especially paired with those perfectly crisp truffle fries. We had a fantastic server—warm, attentive, and really added to the experience. And the cocktails? Total hits. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Also The music selection was very cutesy very mindful. 🤍
Had the most perfect engagement celebration with my fiancée, our family and friends at this cute restaurant. From the start, Olga (owner) was extremely responsive and just the sweetest. From creating the menus, drinks, and setup of the entire place, she went above and beyond in catering our guests. Everyone complimented on the space, tables, decor she allowed us to setup, and the food and drinks which were all delicious. Will highly recommend if planning an intimate event!
Pleasant surprise with delicious Mediterranean food and cute/comfy couch seating. I personally loved the vegetarian moussaka which is a hard dish to get right - like a layer lasagna of veges. The pita bread with the fresh char is super refreshing. We could have done without the bottle of wine, but it was a nice overall celebration.
We love the Kitchen Cobble Hill! Olga is terrific. Everything is fresh and tasty. Delivery was much faster than I expected. Presentation obviously works better in person than small regular delivery BUT when I catered a larger holiday meal Olga very generously delivered it herself in splendid copper platters and bowls and it was beautiful! So catering is very well presented! And we happily cleaned & returned the platters to her after.
Looking for a restaurant close to Cobble Hill Cinemas and google recommend Kitchen. Have to say… LOVED IT! The most charming decor, wonderful vibe, wonderful service. Food was fresh and super tasty! Craft drinks and wine by the glass were affordable and impressive. I’m so glad to have come across this establishment and will definitely return. Two thumbs up!
I've always liked this place. It has great food. That said, I don't understand some of the menu choices and why you have to pay $12 for a chicken skewer entree, just to add it to a salad. The chopped salad doesn't have lettuce which seems strange to call it a salad. The burger is fantastic, but it's served on a cutting board. Nice presentation, but very difficult to eat. Seems like this place is trying too hard when the product is generally delicious.
Lovely atmosphere with great music selection it felt very homey. I appreciated our service from our waiter she was very kind, patient and excellent at giving recommendations. The lamb ragu pasta was to die for and the salmon kebab was very well prepared. Also, the table ordered lamb and beef meatballs with a quinoa bowl the flavors were balanced and extremely complimentary. I’ve never had baklava and the baklava cheesecake was heavenly. Omg the ice cream here is sooo creamy. Make sure to try the Izmir spritz that may be my new drink for the summer. Will definitely be back to visit!
Overall, a good experience, especially if you appreciate culinary creativity. Interesting and inventive menu, but the food presentation was not quite a match. Our waiter was exceptionally courteous and friendly, although they were clearly stretched thin. So service was pleasant, while understandably a bit slow at times. Cozy and comfortable design, with a few elements that felt a little out of place. Art for sale displayed on the walls was a fun and interesting detail, although it's hung too high so hard to see/appreciate the details. Despite the minor logistical and aesthetic quirks, the quality and flavor of the food, and interesting menu make it a good place to visit.
The French onion soup isn’t the best I’ve ever had but it’s pretty good. My friend really enjoyed the chopped salad. The duck paperedelle was mediocre but the burger and fries (especially the fries) was DELICIOUS. Great vibes in the restaurant - 5 pm on a Thursday was pretty empty the day we went.
The food was good. Let me start with that. It wasn't anything spectacular. The menu was fixed, but the variety was pretty good. I don't personally think it was worth the price. Now the details. The beet salad was delicious. It was one of the appetizers. The oysters were good, however, one of the oysters had a pea crab in it. That really put us off. The lamb was the best part of the meal. It was cooked perfectly, and the brussel sprouts they sat on were so flavorful. The lobster ravioli were rather underwhelming. And again, for the cost, the quantity and presentation were both lacking. Overall a good meal. We most likely will not be back
We had a brunch reservation, yet it took 40 minutes to get seated after we arrived on time. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. By that time we were starving, so the food tasted delicious. The staff was mildly apologetic, but they really need to get their act together logistically.
Came in to this boutique style bistro with RSVP on a 90 degree Sunday. AC was not on, don't know if their AC was out of service or saving electricity. Decided to stay since we made reservation, but no one inform us about the AC situation nor alternate remedy. A 60 minutes baking inside this place. With only 2 front staff to cover ordering, bar mix and as server, service was slow. Food is average without any spectacular.
This place seem like it’s past it’s peak and they’ve lost some of the zeal it may have had when it initially opened. Had to send back Salmon burger as it was a ground patty and not thoroughly cooked. Seems like a rookie mistake given the quantity they deal with. Staff was nice and replaced with a burger. Ended up with a hamburger which was average. The salads seem a bit better. Overall not up to par with what I’d expect
This has always been one of my favorite places, I am a recurrent client and usually the service is excellent but this time there was a tattooed guy that was really rude and displeseant giving us a hard NO, when we tried asking for something outside the brunch menu (there was another nice guy that at least asked the chef for us and they where able to give us the plates that are part of the regular menu). I am very disappointed, it wasn't even that he was having a bad day since he was really nice and cordial with people in other tables. (Perhaps, it was because we are not white?-who knows these days)
Went for Mother's Day! The menu looked great, but we were quickly disappointed when our food came out. Iced coffee is really strong and muddy would not recommend. The food came, I ordered the chopped salad which was the size of half a cup of chopped cucumber, that's it and a hair at the bottom. I added my mother's mixed greens from her sandwich, which didn't do much. She had the grilled chicken sandwich, the bun was hard as a rock she ate it open faced, only half. The bun tasted like it had freezer burn, and never fully defrosted. In the middle of eating, a large family came and they decided to put three tables next to us, extremely close with 4 kids (kids aren't the problem) and didn't ask. In the middle of a pandemic, it seemed weird to put tables so close together when people were already eating and didn't sign up to be on top of each other. I understand it's Mother's Day and they need business, but being asked if we were comfortable would have been nice. Again, not one to complain but this was pretty bad. Do not recommend, portions are small, expensive and bad service.
I was becoming a somewhat regular at Kitchen, until today where I had to wait over 20 minutes for my food. The drink came out right away but was watered down, By the time I received my food the drink was simply water and puree. (Just Nasty ) Being I've been there serval times and have tipped when I once received good service this time I simply decided not to. ( $38 For a spritz and burger and fries. In which the Bun tasted burnt to where I only ate the fries and took the other half of the burger to go.) As I left and was already down the street when my waiter came running out asking for a tip. I mean who does that? I would understand if the service was great along with the food but knowing the service was horrible to be chased down for a tip is distasteful. Also being this waiter has served me serval times and she's aware I've tipped the times prior. I should've known once I've been there serval times and noticed how empty this place was. Lost a customer today for sure.
It wasn't just that the Turkey Club sandwich (14.95) was dry and the fries weren't hot, it's that the final price ended up being $28.31 with my 20% tip (yes, I'm generous). How is that possible with a can of coke added ? It doesn't add up. The coke is $7?
I went for happy hour about two weeks and will never be going back. When I asked for the bill, there were two checks, the one on top was my bill but the other included a few extra items. I thought it was weird but didn’t think much of it. Later on I saw that my card was charged $10 more than the final payment which is horrible. Also the drinks had an extremely light pour. The only good thing about this restaurant was the fries.
