You should manage your expectation when you go here. The people seem rude with attitude, but they are really nice people. They won’t manage the line, so manage it yourself. This is NYC so expect everyone to try to cut ahead of you. The sit down area is very basic. The food is always good. I really like this place. Strongly recommend the wings.

This roast pork and char siu shop is considered a long-established brand in Chinatown. Affordable Cantonese cuisine Three-piece char siu is my favorite. It's fine to eat it occasionally, but it gets a bit greasy if you eat too much.

To be real honest this meal will cost like $16 in a different location...BUT HERE ITS ONLY $7 and if you want to eat inside its $8....let me tell you the taste of the meat was delicious crispy outside and tender in the middle..the sauce goes perfect and the white rice thank God it's not plain it has some flavor....definitely will be back with my daughter..lol

Oh my goodness! The skin was unbelievably crispy, shattering with the slightest touch, while the meat underneath remained succulent and flavorful. The subtle hints of traditional Chinese spices elevated the dish to another level. It was cooked to absolute perfection, a true testament to the chef's skill and expertise. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was also top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Honest review. I’ve always wanted to go to the place that’s a couple of feet from this location where the big line is. But I don’t feel like waiting in a long line. So I found this place on tik tok where they said it was a good alternative instead of being in line. I agree. I think it’s delicious food and quick service. Definitely worth coming for.I ordered the 3 meats over rice. Duck, pork, and chicken. The chicken was my least favorite not because of the taste but because it was already a bit cold, I’m assuming because not many people order it? In second came the duck I was confused on how to eat it because it had bone so I ate it and it was an actually pretty good. The pork though was very flavorful and tasty, definitely the best out of the three in my opinion.

Char siu is so good. The portions are HUGE for just 7 bucks - can't beat the price for this amount of food. The char siu is tender and juicy. Highly recommend. No lines too!

Delicious and well priced! I had the two meat option over rice - duck and pork. The pork was well brined and duck flavorful too. The beef and chinese broccoli came with a generous portion of rice.

This place needs more recognition and love. I’m Also one of those who came for the other place but didn’t want to wait. Let me tell you, this place did not disappoint at all!! I love their roast duck and pork, this is exactly what I was looking for. And so affordable! Will definitely come here again.

It’s easy to pass by this place and not give it a chance, but this is a true hidden gem. We ordered char siu and thit heo quay (crispy pork belly in Vietnamese) and it was delicious. This place is a quick grab and go and it sure beats standing in a long line at the spot next door. There are some chairs and tables to eat your food, but there is no wait service. Will come back!

It’s definitely a place where locals go to. I didn’t really know what to get because there is so much stuff on the menu. Def place to get pork and beef! After long deliberations I got no. 140 Seafood with bean curd and 152 Squid w salt and pepper (but without the pepper). Seafood dish was really good. There were scallops and shrimp in the dish in a light brownish sauce. Not sure how the squid and pepper was supposed to taste, but the squid was quite salty and it was fried. We off course ate the whole thing, I was just surprised how salty the squid was. Also the dishes didn’t come with rice. But that was my fault because I didn’t think to ask for it.

We heard a lot about this place serving affordable BBQ over rice without the long wait like Wah Fung, so of course after trying Wah Fung, we wanted to check this spot out too. We went on a random Tuesday around 3PM — no wait at all, just walked in and ordered. I noticed the menu had Vietnamese on it, so I tried speaking Vietnamese to the butcher, but he didn’t understand. After hearing the staff talk to each other, I realized none of them were Vietnamese. Just something I found interesting. We originally wanted two meats over rice, but they were out of pork and only had duck left, so we went with duck. It’s cash only. We ate there since they have tables and seating, and they provide Sriracha and other condiments on the table. Looking at the menu, they actually offer a lot more than just BBQ — there are other Chinese dishes as well. The first bite came with high expectations because we were hungry, but honestly, it was disappointing. The rice was too wet and overcooked, the vegetables were bland with no seasoning, and the duck was just okay. Only a few pieces had solid meat — most were small pieces with bones. We were so disappointed we couldn’t even finish it. We just ate some of the meat and left the rest. To be honest, $7 for one meat over rice is actually more expensive than Wah Fung, and the portion wasn’t very filling. The only plus is that they have seating available. I guess we still haven’t found our go-to Chinese BBQ spot yet — maybe we’ll have better luck in Chinatown.

My father was trying to order noodles and congee, but cannot speak Cantonese. Rather than having someone who can speak English assist with taking his order, but just ignored him. Despite trying to get their attention multiple times, they refused to acknowledge him. It's a shame knowing the workers can understand him as well, as my mom and I have ordered here in English a few times before. We will not be going back here.

I only write bad reviews whenever I feel like it is really needed. This place was absolutely horrible not just the attitude from the people especially the woman upfront charging, but the food was extremely cold. I would have rather had a McChicken than this place. terrible food terrible service. Do not recommend. Please do not spend your money. They even charge you extra for sitting down at the restaurant, it’s absolutely robbery.

Garbage attitude and garbage food. The lady that took our order was extremely rude. We ordered our food to go as we were going to eat some of it now and the rest at home. Once we got our food and were getting ready to sit down at one of the tables, the lady said if we eat inside, it’s $2 extra with an attitude. food was okay at best with decent portions. however, most of my roasted duck was bone?and WOW, the service may have set a new all time low for me: extremely rude and dismissive to a paying customer. maybe try coming here if you can speak fluent chinese and are prepared to sweet talk for baseline service and a combo that isn’t 50% bones.
