Being a Vietnamese who lives in a city where Vietnamese food is not great, I make it a point to seek Vietnamese restaurants on my travel. I am exceedingly pleased to find this joint in New York and visited twice in two days. Comfortable space, authentic taste, and friendly staff. Hủ tiếu Nam Vang and bánh canh cua are both excellent with full toppings. Hủ tiếu comes with thin slices of pork, liver and heart, two giant shrimps, and a quail egg, sprinkled with ground pork and chives. Bánh canh cua has thick soup with chunky bites of crab meat, pork knuckles, blood cake, and two giant shrimps. The boss lady and waitress even asked me which region of Vietnam I am from so they can recommend the right dishes. Will be back on my next New York trip!

This Vietnamese spot in Chinatown is truly a gem! I've been meaning to go here for a while, but only got the chance to recently. When I went on a chilly day, the place was packed and we had to wait for a bit before we got a seat (but it wasn't too bad). The interior is casual with lots of Vietnamese decor and music. Service is a bit slow (maybe because they were super busy) but very nice. We got their banh xeo, nem nuong platter, banh cuon, and pho. Everything was so well-priced for NYC, huge portions, and delicious. I absolutely loved every dish and don't think I could choose a favorite. I would recommend trying other Vietnamese dishes other than your standard pho and rice plates (that you can try at other Vietnamese restaurants in NYC) and to go for one of their more unique options like banh canh cua, banh xeo, or hu tieu—all of which are more difficult to find. Amazing spot and I would definitely come back.

Vietnamese restaurants specialize in beef noodle soup. I specifically ordered the spring roll rice noodle dry dish. We also ordered chicken separately. The chicken skewers were just a bit small. The coconut rice cake was too hard and didn't taste good. The amount of white bean porridge was too small. Too sweet

Came here with 5 of my friends for dinner. We got seats instantly and didn’t wait too long to get our food. Each person got an entree and we shared two orders of spring rolls with some people ordering drinks. The food was overall good and had a nice, spacious, not too loud atmosphere. I enjoyed my time and will consider coming back on another occasion when in the area.

As someone who grew up in Saigon, I think in general the menu has a ton of the more exotic and interesting dishes that are close to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The Bun Cha Ha Noi, Hu Tieu Kho and Banh Canh Cua are their best dishes. Also their spring rolls are the best i've had in the city so far. They do this rotation of specials every weekend which feature lots of my fav dishes that can't be found elsewhere such as Bun Mang Vit, Bun Mam, Bun Rieu, Mi Quang, etc.

My friend and I are having lunch here. She said the food here is very good and it's really fresh. You should know that she is a person who is very particular about food. ☺️

I’m from the Mekong Delta, and the food here tastes genuinely authentic. I ordered hủ tiếu Nam Vang (broth on the side), and it tasted exactly like what I’d get back home. The atmosphere is unpretentious, and the service is efficient. A solid place if you’re looking for real Mekong-style flavors, done right.

They have a gluten free menu which specifies which dishes can be made gluten free - just ask if needed! We had banh canh and nem nuong both gluten free. Also the menu has photos which I personally love

My server was actually quite good, despite what I'd read beforehand. This spot earns legitimacy through service excellence. Having just relocated to the area, this restaurant was a nice surprise. Their dishes create unexpected flavor marriages. I plan to come back for different menu items.

We went there around noon on the weekday. Ordered a Bun Rieu and Hu tieu nam vang dry noodle. Can’t imagine how tasty it is, portions are big too. The Bun Rieu and Hu tieu is over our expectations and even more delicious than what we ate in Vietnam. As a Vietnamese i can tell. We absolutely will come back to try other dishes. This restaurant is my first choice option since now.

This is a great place to grab some yummy pho and chat with friends. The soup was really flavorful and it permeated the noodles to the point the noodles tasted like the soup. I really enjoyed the beef brisket and the spring rolls were a tasty appetizer.

I don’t think I’ve had Vietnamese food beyond pho, so I love it when a restaurant expands my horizon and this one surely does. The Vietnamese condense milk yogurt is so delicious that I devour two back to back. The rice noodles with roasted beef and Vietnamese spring rolls are out of this world! The spring rolls add a nice crunchiness to the silky smooth noodles soaked in nicely seasoned sesame oil. The beef gives a nice charred flavor to the slightly sweet noodles. It’s so so delicious. And the moody atmosphere certainly makes you yearn for more. I devour my whole meal in 15 minutes, not because I am hungry, but because it’s THAT good! 😊

Wow, this pho spot is amazing! The prices were super affordable—everything on the menu was reasonably priced. We were honestly shocked that a full meal for four people, including drinks and appetizers, came out to under $100. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. The food was authentic and full of flavor. Overall, a fantastic experience—I’ll definitely be back!

It has a great variety of Vietnamese food and delicacies. We ordered the crab meat noodles, which were soft tapioca noodles in a rich starchy broth, and the vegetable curry vermicelli. The latter was a pleasant surprise where the vegetable ingredients were separately seared before being added to the broth, which made it less of an afterthought as is typical for vegetarian dishes and more of a dish in its own right. I would come back to try other items.

the variety at this vietnamese restaurant is unmatched, it has a lot of the authentic dishes you would only find in saigon, including bun bo hue, banh knot, bun thit nuong cha gio, ca phe sua da. a lot of the patrons were also vietnamese and also the staff was very kind and attentive. great vibe overall and the portion size were as huge but we can notch the quality up. just a tiny bit

One of the few Vietnamese restaurants I have been to so far and great for its price. I went twice, as a duo and then a trio. Never too busy and an amazing atmosphere. I would recommend the Pho Bo CO UT and the Ga Nuong Sa if you are not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. The service was wonderful and added to the overall cozy atmosphere. Overall a hidden casual spot to go with friends and casually dine. A perfect place for not breaking the bank too. I look forward to being back here more often.

This place is probably the most authentic and delicious Vietnamese restaurant in all of Manhattan Chinatown. Everything we got was super fresh. The fried items (banh xeo and cha gio spring rolls) were freshly fried to order and insanely flavorful. Cha gio were stuffed to the brim, wrapped in rice paper (the best!), and so flavorful. The filling was one of the best I’ve had in NYC. Though I did think it was odd the banh xeo was stuffed with more white sliced onions than bean sprouts, but it was still so crispy and so delicious. The bun cha Hanoi was the best we’ve had in NYC - flavorful, charred well, and huge portion. We also got the thit kho and egg pork stew with rice (lunch special), which came with a delicious soup and rice. Thit kho was like homemade - delicious deep pork flavor with coconut water, and very tender meat. Avocado shake and Viet iced coffee were delicious and satisfying. Prices are moderate - you get what you pay for. This quality and portion of food is more than worth the price. Ambience of the place is nice and relaxing with images of Vietnam on the walls. Service gets you what you need, but to be honest, they aren’t the most friendly. But since the food is this good, who cares as long as they aren’t rude?

The bun bo hue is pretty good, but it could be a bit punchier/spicier. I would say the broth is slightly anemic compared to other restaurants I've been to. They didn't include any cabbage or herbs to add, which was a downer since BBH is really great when you can eat the fresh greens with the fragrant broth. Also, they charge extra for cha lua which seems silly to me since that's not a premium ingredient. The com tam was good with a flavorful nuoc mam and well cooked broken rice. They have a lot of dishes that a lot of Vietnamese restaurants don't have around here, which is nice. The lunch specials also are a great deal.

Long and his crew make pho very lovingly, the bo vien are well seasoned and springy and the tai just chewy enough and generously portioned. There isn’t enough rau thom and when asked for they only brought a small cup, and I think the bowl could do with more noodles. The noodles were also undercooked. Overall, a good bowl of pho that could be great with some changes. Special thanks to Mandy and Nhien for the service!

Tried the Bún Bò Huế here, and it was okay overall. The presentation was nice and the portion generous, but the flavor leaned on the mild side for a dish that’s usually known for its bold, spicy broth. The lemongrass and chili aroma were there, just not as deep or complex as expected. The beef slices and shank were tender, and the noodles had a good chew, which helped balance things out.

Vietnamese restaurant on Christie St. Its has a slightly different and more unique menu than your usual standard Vietnamese restaurants. It has a bit of a flair of a fusion restaurant. The place has a poppy vibe, the taste of the food while not bad, didn't really stand out to me. All in all, if you're in the mood for Vietnamese, it is ok. 8/7/2025, recently visited and the review is pretty spot on, decent Vietnamese cuisine, nothing fantastic, but solid.

Standard Viet food here, like all the other Viet restaurants in Chinatown. This spot is rightfully busy throughout the day, but no problem in getting a table still, and is located ~2 blocks from their sister spot - Banh Mi Co Ut! What we got: - Banh Khot: YUMM - small, Viet shrimp pancakes with a hint of coconut milk flavor. Basically the yummy bite size version of a Banh Xeo! - Pho Bo Co Ut: Standard bowl of pho - Com Tam Suon Bi Cha: Love a good Pork Chop Rice dish! It comes with a meat patty, which is best paired with their fish sauce, yum! - Banh Uot Cuon Thit Nuong: First time having Wrapped Grilled Pork Chops Rolls + it was pretty good! The sauce paired with it is basically sweet sauce. - Viet Iced Coffee: Good, sweet, and refreshing! If I'm ever in this part of LEs, I'd stop by! Otherwise, there are tons of Viet spots in Chinatown with the same sentiment.

Authentic regional Vietnamese menu, but felt the execution was a bit bland! It's definitely more interesting than the standard casual Vietnamese joints in the neighborhood, but they really should increase the flavor and spice! Cute casual environment, cheap, fast service, nice for a quick bite!

Update 11/9: They sent me the shorted amount, but only after I pushed back. Hours later, they reversed course and sent me some messages taking back that it was their mistake even though they fully admitted to giving me the wrong change. I looked for reasons to believe it was accidental, but facts didn’t line up: 1. Long delay before returning my change when the restaurant was empty 2. Hovering around my table but avoided all eye contact. Easy to wave down before paying, but not after paying 3. Change should’ve been $85, but I got: 1×$20, 3×$10, 6×$5, 3×$1. The low denominations felt designed to distract from the discrepancy. 4. The apology I got over the phone when I asked for a receipt — I didn’t mention the issue here 5. The claim that the woman who shorted me is the “captain” with years of experience counting cash _________________ Original visit (11/6): Came solo for pho. Food was fine, portions small. Service initially friendly. I paid $101 on a $15.19 bill. The older lady in the green shirt took a long time to return and shorted me: $83.56 instead of $85.81. No receipt was given until I called, and the one I got was labeled as“copy,” meaning the original was printed and tossed. See photo attached. Her behavior after giving me the wrong change felt off: hovering around my table while avoiding eye contact, repeatedly walking past while I counted my money but the restaurant was empty. The $2.25 wasn’t the issue, but the strangely low denominations in cash (I got mostly 5’s and 10’s and one 20 bill) and the behavior felt very dishonest I regret paying cash — ended up costing 16% more and ruined an otherwise decent meal.
