Opinions de Tivoli Trattoria Albee Square
Amazing Place in the heart of West Village. The passing of the daylight hours into the evening just lights up the ambience of the place. Servers are really responsive and courteous to the guests and the food hits right on the spot. The pasta with pesto was super creamy. The final piece of the puzzle was the dessert, Tiramisu in this case which not only was super delicious but a treat to our taste buds. Must visit.
I stumbled upon this quaint little place last night after visiting the spa a couple doors over and decided to treat myself to a nice dinner. I was very impressed with the ambiance which is very inviting and romantic. I ordered a glass of chianti and the cacio e pepe gnocchi. Although it tasted more like an alfredo to me instead of a cacio e pepe, I still very much enjoyed it. The dip they give you for the bread was also flavorful but was a little salty. My only minor issue was that the server kind of disappeared after bringing the food. There were two other people who were watching me though to make sure I was good but in the end, the server had to be told to follow up with me. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and I will not hesitate coming back and bringing people with me the next time.
Tivoli in New York City is a true gem for happy hour enthusiasts. The excellent deals are hard to beat, making it an ideal spot for budget-friendly yet delightful dining. I couldn't resist trying the Margarita Pizza, a steal at $6, delivering a perfect harmony of flavors. Pairing it with a crisp Stella Artois beer for just $5 was a fantastic choice. The refreshing Watermelon Salad added a burst of freshness to the meal, completing the trifecta of taste. Tivoli's ambiance was inviting, and the attentive service enhanced the overall experience. For those seeking quality at a reasonable price, Tivoli is a happy hour haven worth exploring in the heart of New York City.
Had an incredible experience at Tivoli Trattoria. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana appetizer which was to die for. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots which were also delicious, and a chicken milanesa with a side of fries. Everything was perfect and was served quickly. The atmosphere is also really nice. The decor and lighting made it a really lovely environment to have dinner in. Would definitely come here again and will be recommending this place to my friends
This place is excellent! I went for lunch- the decor is charming, and the food is good quality for good value. They have a very reasonable lunch special that includes a garden salad and any pasta of your choice (gluten free available!). They accidentally gave me the wrong plate with something I was allergic to- Rodrigo was so quick and kind, and got me the replacement almost right away. He was very attentive the whole way through. It was busy for the time of day but not too busy, and I really got the chance to enjoy my time.
First time visiting NYC and I was destined to try pizza. On the recommendation of my friend who is a local, we went to Tivoli. The pizza and meatballs are terrific. While the espresso martini was wine-based, it was also heavenly. I do recommend if you are looking for a casual sit down pizza place.
What a lovely evening at Tivoli! Our waiter, Rolando, took great care of us despite it being a very busy night for the restaurant. The ambiance inside is very warm and welcoming, and when the weather is nice, they are able to open up the front area so it has open-air seating. Really nice vibes all around! Some highlights I'd definitely recommend trying: Drink: Tivoli Mule - it features St. Germain and is a great balance of sweet and tart Appetizer: Ricotta and honey spread - The whipped ricotta and honey paired together with crunchy bread makes for a delicious bite Salad: Pear and goat cheese salad - the goat-cheese coated grapes in this salad are to die for! Pizza: Soppressata - the spicy honey and italian salami combo are really tasty Dessert: Chocolate brownie - this was surpsisingly warm and soft on the inside, and you can never beat a brownie a la mode
Cozy and delicious! Rodrigo was the server and he was attentive and kind! The salad and burrata with prosciutto was delicious and well presented. The pepperoni pizza is not too spicy, not too cheesy. Perfect for me! We had the salads, the fritto misto (so crunchy!) the octopus (also good) and the pizza. Everyone like it!
This is a very popular wine and beer café, and restaurant, centered within numerous other eclectic restaurants and eateries not far from 14th Street along Seventh Avenue. The outdoor sidewalk table service has been a favorite spot for many New Yorkers who frequent the area, for dining out and enjoying the view. Inside the ambiance is smart and lovely. Perfect for larger gatherings for guests who want more space for themselves with colleagues, friends, coworkers, or dates. Food wise it is a short Italian fare menu. With some limitations on cocktails or otherwise extended to an only what is available from the bar list between select mixed drinks or wine and a smaller selection in imported beer. On the downside the location is bordered by a number of gay bars which, in my opinion truly [they] were notably more offensive per se, per person, whenever visible than say most other people who were not indicative being around us whatsoever. Noting later, the arrival of a characteristic party, of the same offense underwhelming oddly attired compared to all other patrons present inside. This is obviously one reason for patronizing places which are less inclined to bolster mitigation factors with the unlikely presence of others who may not otherwise be present at all elsewhere, becoming less of a distraction or deterrent to dine in peace without the risk bypassing harassment. Overall, it is nonetheless a great hot spot but rather question the need for upgrades on its recipes for certain entrees, which was somewhat too salty to say the least for the same dish served elsewhere. Recommendable aside the individual opinion, however unpopular, the well staffed wait servers were genuinely ‘superb’ and so very admirable for their patience and dedication to the patronage of their customers, doting on making sure that each one was attentive on whatever they required or needed, and their sincerity about returning. This kinder gesture by mentioning revisiting the restaurant somewhere in the ne’er future being meant for its continued success with those who traversed it in the past and now.
Food was good but definitely pricey. We ate outdoors and when it began to rain we had to leave, they should definitely invest in a canopy or umbrellas to protect the outdoor diners. Also we were told there was going to be happy hour but there wasn’t when we arrived.
So we got the free bread appetizers, lasagna, lemon ravioli, chicken limone, and as for drinks, we had aperol spritz and peach sangria. Apparently they didn’t have gluten free pasta when we went so that was a bit of a bummer. The free bread was okay, I enjoyed it. The lasagna was eh, somewhat over salted, a bit of a messy presentation with what I feel like not much meat and as for the the lemon ravioli, it had almost no flavor, a bit unhappy about that but now that chicken limone… Jesus now that was absolutely delicious, definitely suggest that! Those drinks were alright to me, nothing special but nothing bad either. Service was pretty good. Ambiance was solid for some great flicks! Oh but one important thing about the bathroom is I feel like that window with how low it is that it should be covered up a bit more. I felt quite exposed when trying to pee when there’s people right outside it. Would I go back? Hm maybe
Really wanted to give this place more stars! The food was delicious and the drinks were great but the service was horrible, (not our waiters fault), he was super nice but was the ONLY waiter for the dinner rush! We ordered an appetizer and entrees and it took over an hour with both coming out at the same time, the appetizer was a salad:/ When the salad came it arrived without dressing, when we asked for the dressing it took another 20 minutes only for them to bring expired dressing packets to our table. I would love to give this place another shot because food really was that good but they need to really step it up service wise.
We ordered a “salad” for dinner that was so disgustingly covered in cheese I’m not even sure it could be classified as a salad (see photo). Upon asking our server to switch it out, he refused to do so and his only accommodation was to go back to the kitchen and shove some of the cheese off. This is simply just horrible customer service for a restaurant and I have never had a server react in such a manner at any other restaurant in NYC. Now I understand why it’s so easy to get a reservation here on a Friday night. Good luck surviving as an Italian restaurant in New York.
We were very disappointed by this meal. If you are a fan of pizza, do not come here. We ordered a Margherita pizza and we were shocked by the quality. Not only was there an excess of cheese, but the sauce was almost nonexistent and the base of the pizza was blackened and completely burnt tasting. We were unable to eat even just a single slice each and we couldn’t ask for a remade pizza because our waiter didn’t check on us until 30 minutes later. For a $26 pizza, we got a pizza that they wouldn’t even serve at a dominos. The biggest positive of this experience was that the bruschetta we got as an appetizer was excellent and the interior is really cute.
